Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I am sorry for my lack of posting. I am in the last two weeks of college and I have barely had time to post.

My priorities at the moment are the games I am running only so until I get all my projects out of the way, I won't be posting much if at all. It's only two weeks so I hope I can hang out on standby until I'm done, then I will be better than normal. No school.....ever. Again, sorry if this hampers the game at all.

If need be you can GM PC me in the meantime, or if you absolutely don't want to deal with it you can simply boot me from the game. I'd like to continue with you guys but understand if it is necessary.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I lean forward with interest at the holy man's story. "A ruined temple you say? Very interesting. And you say you might have an idea as to where it might be located? Hmm. This is the very sort of thing I came to these lands to look for, I am curious to hear more of what you have to say." I await further exploration.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I join the others at the door and stand within 15 feet of Svetlana with my whip handy. I await the stranger's response.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

-----Continue conversation with Svetlana-----

"Delightful? Hard to say. I suppose freedom is by far the most delightful thing there is. No rules, no restriction, you can rely solely on your skills and the skills of your fellows to survive. Free to go where you please and do as you please. That's what I find delightful. Sure it is risky at times but if your skilled enough, and lucky, it's truly an exciting life." His expression is the most pleasant you've seen it since meeting him.

Fort Save:1d20 ⇒ 18

-----Later at Oleg's-----

I carry on doing my best to endure the environment. When we arrive at Oleg's I dismount and head in with Svetlana and whomever else accompanies her. We go inside and when Svetlana explains herself to Oleg, I speak up as well. "This Stag Lord is imposing his will on this land and is probably trying to control it under his rule. I would be willing to aid you in removing this blight from this place. Once the Tyrant is taken down his empire should crumble." I seem very intent on this topic as though I am serious about seeing it through.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

College is almost done for good. I will have a much higher posting time when it is. Right now however, I have four class projects I am working on. I'll post when I can. Just two more weeks *Squee!*

I coil my whip and look over the beast. "We got lucky, these things are normally much harder to deal with. Good show." I gather my pack and sling it over my horse. "Let's explore this area a little more before going back."

I look over at Svetlana. "Like the rain much do you?"

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I whip the troll again.
Attack:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 For:1d4 ⇒ 2

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Attempting to stand also means he provokes an AoO from everyone able to do so.

Okay, so he didn't get up, that's what I wanted to see. I move within 15 feet and attempt to whip it. Though it is a fifteen foot distance, it still counts as a melee attack.

Attack:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 For1d4 ⇒ 4 This is against it's prone AC

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I am after the troll. Rule of delaying action is to move my place in initiative. I delayed till after the troll.

Depending on what the troll does will determine my next action.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I see, I really didn't understand the whole spontanious casting thing. I wish I had thought over my spells better. I added them based on character not need. I would have forgone almost all my level 1 spells if I had known I was stuck with them.

If it helps, I haven't cast any of them since I began with Leorn. Maybe I can change them? I am open to suggestions too.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Troll shouldn't be standing, I delayed so my turn would come after he completed his so he wouldn't have actions left. He should be prone until his next turn and only if he decides to stand. thus his AC would be a -4 against Melee attacks and standing would provoke.

I nod. "He's down, go get him Ulryk!"

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I have no idea, I am not good with caster classes, I really don't understand how any of them work.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I prepared a slightly different set of spells today that I had hoped would be more useful. So here goes.

Seeing the troll I attempt to cast a spell on the troll. I wait until after the troll moves to cast. Delaying to be specific until just after the troll goes.

Concentration:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

I cast grease where the troll stands in hopes on knocking it prone. It needs to make a DC 13 Reflex save or fall prone.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Init:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I assume we are heading back.

-----After the release of the boy Leorn will respond------

I seem genuinely surprised the party decided to let off the hook I speak up. "Amazing. Where I come from they would execute children for merely being related to criminals but you have spared the boy. Is this because of my attitude or is your idea of law in fact different from my own?"

Remember Leorn didn't get a charter or was aassigned to bring law anywhere. He is here to uncover the land's secrets and explore and enjoy freedom

----Then next day I will agree to follow the party further---

I will try and engage in small talk with the party to try and get an idea of their purpose and a bit more understanding of their "Law" they insist on bringing to this land.

If someone care to explain your definition of law, Leorn will ponder it for the day.

----The Storm Day----

I can use handle animal untrained but I can score no higher than a 10:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Unable to sooth the horses, I simply sit and make idle chat. I decide that if I am going to continue with the company, I should tell them a bit about myself. I decide to gamble by telling them the most sensitive information first. "I used to be a bandit once. Back in the lands I came from."

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I smirk. "It is a simple thing to decide life and death when you have a life in your hands. You either kill it or let it live. You are in no way responsible for anything the bandits decide to do with the mercy. To think you are responsible for another's actions or choices is the pinnacle of arrogance. Quit making excuses and either kill the prisoners or let them go. Quit worrying about what they will do if you let them go. Also, me being a former prisoner doesn't make me wish justice, I got lucky and I cannot waste time with revenge." I am sitting there and continue to write.

My character is going be like his a lot lol

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

After we return I roll my eyes as the group once again goes about playing judge, jury, and executioner like the evil lot of law lovers they are. Saying nothing about the Owlbear and not wanting to comment on the disgusting display of power and authority these alleged do-gooders claim rights too. I merely head over to somewhere quiet as they play around with the fate's of others. Why do they even bother with prisoners at all if this is all they are going to do with them. Shameful is what it is.

I merely sit quietly and pull out my journal and begin to document all that I seen going on. Ulryk and Svetlana are dicussing the boy's fate I decide to speak up. "Does this deliberation always take this long with you people? Do you enjoy torturing others? Your so scared this kids is going to turn to banditry why don't you police your own kingdom for every child who shows the slightest hint of criminal behavior and execute them? Seems it would be easier than trying to impose it out here in these free lands." I shake my head and pull out some rations and start to eat.

Leorn the chaotic loser is back to voice his opinion again hehe.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I nod to Ulryk, "Not so. It is a magical beast. It isn't the same as a normal beast. It is best we leave it alone and return." I make ready to return when the others do so.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I nod in consideration. "So how should we approach? Do we abandon our hunt or take this thing on?"

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I nod in agreement to follow the others on their hunt for the fleeing bandits. I keep up and continue to keep my dancing lights active as long as needed. Once we start to get more natural light I will let the spell drop.

I drop the spell at the sound of the animal. "What is it?" I do my best to focus on the sound too.

Knowledges!: Bardic knowledge
Nature:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Arcane: (Magical Beasts)1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Dungeoneering:(Other odd creatures):1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Religion:(Undead) 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Planes:(Outsiders and the like)1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Sorry I have been out with the Flu. A horrible way to spend spring break for sure. I am now getting better. Thank you for waiting.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I approach the others coiling my whip. I listen to the others talk about their gratifying victory over the bandits and then I notice more prisoners. "Damn these guys are high on death and judgement. They act like gods or something."

I listen to the request to keep my dancing lights going and nod. I then gander to the others. "Is there anything else you need me to do?"

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I am back, sorry I am sick. I need to catch up. Looks like we won. Cool

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Okay my alternate action is to go after the bandit in the "blind" I only assume that is the next closest bandit. If difficult terrain isn't an issue I will move to within 15 feet of him and attempt my trip there.

I would like to use the roll I made earlier. There is no need to confirm as all I need to do is score a hit. Which I do automatically. So, the target should be prone.

If I cannot reach him then I will simply move closer to him.

Done.

Again, sorry I haven't been keeping up. Spring break has started so I have a bit more free time.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Huh, well that bites. I'll follow Ulryk and do nothing again :p

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Okay got a tricky movement to complete.

First, five foot to the square beneath me.

Second, 5-10 foot move down, right diagonal

Third, move 5-10 foot due right towards the bandit.

Finishing my move there should have me within the 15 foot range of my whip at the most, 30 feet of movement.

So my standard action is a trip attempt. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 + any additional modifiers if they exist. This number vs. targets CMD, if I hit, he drops prone.

EDIT: Hmm, maybe I should have just attacked him. *Shrug* oh well*

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I move as far as I can after ulryk

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Okay, just wanted to make sure the post wasn't invisible.

Also I don't have a bow or arrows *shrug*

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

For now I will attempt to keep up with Ulryk and stay close to him. There isn't much else I can do until we have bandits in range.

Just curious, did anyone see my request in the discussion board? I'm not trying to be pushy, I'd just like to know.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Phew I was afraid you were waiting on me again.

When my turn comes up, can you let me know where I am and what my options are.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Actually I have message prepared. I would have suggested it if I had known we'd need it sooner. I am getting better at being more attentive and can catch up on the reading on my phone. Sorry it took me so long to get back into the swing of this. Spring break is coming up soon so a real chance for me to get into this.

Also, I was hoping I could ask a favor of you guys. I have a game on my phone called ”Deity Wars” Sort of a virtual card game. It normally doesn’t cost money to play but to really get good cards, you have the option to spend money to do so. There are other ways to get good cards though. One way is through invitation coupons. I get those every time a new player puts in my referral code.

So, what I am asking for any of you with a device,(Iphone, Smartphone, tablet, etc) to download the App game Deity Wars. You then run through the tutorial. Once the tutorial is complete, you then go to Mypage, should be accessable via a button on the top of the screen. You then scroll down to the Referral Code button and then tap it. Then you enter my referral code DIE9324 and confirm. Just like that, I get an invitation coupon which I can trade for an awesome card and you get a free random card.

It doesn’t cost anything to download and run through the tutorial. I know a lot of players who’ve been playing a while who haven’t spent a cent. So there really is no harm to you. Just a moment of your time. Once you’ve helped me out, you can uninstall the game, or continue to play. My game name is Deece24 so send me a message if you would like to continue and I’ll make room for you as my ally.

Thanks for hearing out my request. You don’t have to help me, I just thought I’d try. No harm in asking right? Thanks again.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Okay

I cast dancing lights to illuminate the bandits....unless they have a light source of their own and are already lighting themselves up.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Sorry for the delay. Was at school and then had to see a chemistry tutor. All those conversion formulas are harder than snot to remember.

Okay, I do not see my position on the map. Where is the enemy and are they lit by something, light torches, something. How close would the nearest foe be.

I'll post my action once I now, I may have missed it somewhere so anyone can tell me.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I'll be available to post most of the afternoon tomorrow but not the evening.

Initiative:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Heads up, I cannot post a good post till 10pm central

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I decline the coat. I have cold weather clothing on. I cast prestidigitation to dry myself.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Because you all have been posting like crazy without me, No, I didn't. I skipped a lot of the OOC discussion thread. At one point I had almost fifty new posts to skim through.

And strangely enough, I have a lot of free time right now and tomorrow and suddenly people aren't posting. Boggles the mind I tell you, boggles the mind.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I will cast Dancing lights at the order. It's the only spell I have that is of use.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Okay, I understand the plan. I will be posting my next action in about 12 hours from now. I will try sooner but no promises. I will be online for several hours after my next post so if there is a time to get carried away and not leave me behind, that will be it.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I have a vague idea as to whats going on but I will do my best to keep up.

I listen to the plans. "Take them out little at a time. I am good with battlefield control and can definately support the more warrioresque members of the party. I am not bad with a bow if needed as well."

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Again I have fallen horribly behind. I am sorry about my absense. School and work got together and thought it would be funny if they beat me up together. At least for the week. I will be back to normal tomorrow. But for now, I need to think about what to post.

The big thing i am concerned about is my lack of posting seems to have gotten me forgotten. I am wondering if I am of any use at all in this game.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Svetlana,Kent:

"I doubt she is that strong. Maybe she returned to camp. Either way I think we should head back and prepare."

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I look at the prisoner for a moment and then at Ulryk. I feel my stomach turn a bit and then I turn to Svetlana. "It could be dangerous, i will join you also."

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Okay since it looks like I go before the bandits I will cast dancing lights and place it right next to them.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I have dancing lights prepared. Now it is only a matter of who wants to provide light. If someone else puts up a light then I will use my turn to attempt to trip both foes. Otherwise I can light them up. Which would you rather have me do?

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Initiative:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

I have my whip out and ready. Are the enemy adjacent to one another?

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

At the noise I grab my whip. "Whats going on? Is our cover blown? Are they coming back? What's happening man."

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

Perception1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I'm happy with my post for now.

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I look at Ulryk and ponder for a moment. "I came here mostly for the freedom it offered. I had some hints and nudges there may be wealth to be had in these lands as well as a lot of possibilities for discovery. I love looking into history and I was curious about the history of these lands themselves."

Male Human Chelaxian Bard (Archaeologist) Lvl 2

I had made a post almost eight hours ago and for some reason it's not here. I'll try again.

Given the uncomfortable preceding of the day before and the following silent treatment I assume this as no one even waited for me to respond to any inquiries or small talk. I simply keep up with the group.

I felt safer travelling in a group but given how they regarded banditry, I often wonder IF I am actually safe with them. Still, they seemed nice enough and they did save me. Its best to give them a chance.

Arriving at the bandit camp we set up to scout. The two ladies in the group decide to go on ahead. I consider volunteering but reject the idea because three scouts simply has a greater chance of being discovered.

In the meantime I simply sit quietly, pouring through a journal I have in my possession and keep to myself awaiting any plan that takes place.
