LaRA spends the next couple of days alternating between her human and android form. The former is often accompanied by the occasional "Hmm..."'s and "Oof."'s, when the human body's inherent lack of coordination lead her to stub a toe, impact a doorframe, or even drop something. The android stands perfectly still and quiet as Khonnir explains his musings, occasionally pausing to write down something in her already bristling journal. As he finishes, she nods. Observation: Entity Khonnir Baine possesses large amounts of relevant information and abilities in deductive reasoning. She raises a hand in the air, before standing up. "Statement: I have pondered on the purpose and goals of Hellion. Hypothesis: By analysing goals, abilities and methods, I believe that both Hellion and the aforementioned Divinity are highly advanced artificial intelligences, most likely performing critical roles for the ship prior its uncontrolled descent." She raises her notebook, beginning to draw with arcane energy on the backside. "They both appear to possess great understanding of technology, yet are not deities in the strict meaning of the verb. If so, they would be known quantities to the faith of Brigh." She continues. "They both appear to use primitives for their goals. Akin to most artificial intelligences, they do not appear to have emotional responses towards mortals. Extended notes are available to those interested.", she points towards her notebook. "Summary: Additional information required. Travel to Scrapwall required, and with latest upgrades from Khonnir", she grabs her scarf. "integration speed will increase by several orders of magnitude. However, I have a theory that requires discussion." She looks around the room. "Based on memory data recovered, I stipulate that I was once subservient to an artificial intelligence of the ship. It is possible that yet undiscovered routines are stored in my databanks, which may lead to slow or radical behavioural changes from this unit, let alone malign interference." She blinks, then pauses. "Please do not terminate this unit without a good reason.", she blurts out. ![]()

That spell coin shot is pretty good on a scroll, especially as an emergency robot killer spell if someone needs it. I'd love having spells like expeditious retreat, heightened awareness, mage armor, and shield on scrolls so I don't have to prepare them. Also, Zeke had to take four opposition schools, so getting Abjuration and Divination spells on scrolls is better for him since then he doesn't have to spend two slots. Ugh. I've not actually ever played a straight up wizard, so I maaay have forgotten that I have that. That, and I have significantly less time for fun paperwork (e.g. character sheets) nowadays, and a lot more time for boring paperwork (engineering standards adherence), unfortunately. "Hypothesis: Exposure to high-risk situation and advanced technology appear to have triggered the recovery of this unit's memories.", she explains after a moment. "I have been playing those memories since they were legible at dawn.", she continues, getting down from the chair. "This unit's actions and moral constructs have led to an ethical dissonance with the previous inhabitants of the ship." She pauses for a moment. "Observation: It appears that prior to this unit's containment into the cryochamber, the survival of the Kasatha previously encountered has been tasked to this unit." Taking a step forwards, LaRA puts a hand on her chin. "This unit had a moral objection towards the treatment of the Kasatha, and was scheduled for decommissioning." If LaRA has any regrets or compassion towards her previous actions, it doesn't show. Glancing at an equation stretching from the wall onto a painting on the wall, her head snaps at the rest. "Summary: Data received in the past several days has been crucial to this unit's adaptation. The memories restored over this unit's rest cycle have been instrumental in re-orienting priorities." She gestures at an eye-wateringly insane three-dimensional drawing just over the oven, as if that is the obvious answer. A moment later, her chin raises slightly higher, as if the android's prideful. "This unit now possesses limited empathy protocols. Empathy will be kept at approximately 20% of recorded maximum." ================================= LaRA's eyes glance over the hat with interest, as she takes the item in her hand. "Statement: Gratitude is encouraged when sentient species gift each others with items, in particular objects that can enhance chances of survival. Thank you." Grasping the hat with one hand, LaRA appears to focus on it, until a fine, jade-coloured scarf hangs from her hand. Tucking it in a local custom, LaRA gives Khonnir a glance. "Statement: The wavelength of this fabric is the closest this unit can picture to those of its nanites.", she explains, as her eyes close. The glossy sheen of LaRA's skin appears to get a more fleshy visage, and the trails of jade-coloured nanites coursing under her waxy flesh slowly fades away. A pair of green eyes open a couple of seconds later, only to snap fully open, panically glancing around the room. LaRA stumbles back onto a chair. "Warning: Vision systems severely impaired! Warning: Observable lag in fine motor abilities! Warning: Emotional levels severely exceeding critical limit!", she starts blurting out, as she hyperventilates. Grabbing the cloak, the previously familiar features of LaRA appear as the android slowly stands up. "Statement: Purely biological lifeforms are inferior to biomechanical constructs.", she states laconically, before turning at Khonnir. "Observation: I was not prepared for the effects. Establishing mental routines and procedures." Her hand hovers over the cloak again, as she grabs the hem once more. The human LaRA stands up from the chair, looking at Khonnir. Still breathing deeply, she takes a step forwards. "Beginning linguistical adherence routine.", a more inflexed voice leaves her mouth. "I wasn't cautious enough of the psychological effects inherent to the condition. Steps will be taken to avoid such in the future." While the voice still resembles that of LaRA, the tone's inherent inflexion is more akin to an absent minded scientist rather than the factual android. "Once again, thank you for the gift." A smile shows on LaRA's mouth, looking as real as they get. OoC: When you cast Alter Self you lose all racial abilities and gain those of your new race. As a cheerful teenager gives her a wave, she stops in her tracks, before raising her hand and giving an awkward wave back. Observation: This unit's societal status appears to have significantly increased following the actions undertaken in aid of this settlement. Extrapolation: Future relations with this settlement may yield a symbiotic relationship. It's all she has time to think about as a large, joyful man attempts to pick her up. Turning around to glare at the purple fire of the Torch blaring in the sky, she blinks twice. Pausing memory recovery protocols. Redirecting power to societal observance and adherence. Turning away to stare at the city of Torch, away from the crashed ship, a small smile spreads across her face. In the bar, LaRA takes a large glass of liquor in her hand, then turns around to observe the townsfolk enjoying themselves. Walking towards a group of people talking to each other, she extends a hand for a wave. "Greetings. Query: Could you present me with some examples of humour appropriate for the current situation?" --------------------------------- Over the course of the week, LaRA's lack of need to conceal her identity too much proves useful, as she's barely seen in the Foundry. Walking around town and observing the townsfolk, sometimes outrightly asking a labourer in the middle of his work to "Please proceed with your objectives. This unit will observe." Dotting the library and all the knowledgeable elders, she appears to have made learning more about the Technic League and Hellion her main priority. In the morning, LaRA's cleaning the bar with her outstretched hand, as waves of magic appear to wipe away soiled spots, clean glasses and nudge chairs in their proper configurations. ![]() Most of LaRA's behaviour for the past day has been quite atypical of the android. Sitting in silence, and occasionally walking out of conversations to stare into the distance, the questions towards her were usually met with the same reply: "Statement: This unit is currently busy. Please hold your queries until further notice. I apologise for the inconvenience." Until the topic of Meyanda is brought forward. "Observation:", she says after a moment as the rest are gathered around the table. Sitting down with her paper and a quill, she looks up, her eyes focused for the first time in a while. "As per our latest observations, we know that there are two hostile parties aiming to gain the potential power of 'The Torch.'", she claims. "The unknown entity Meyanda serves, and the Technic league. Hypothesis: While entity Garmen Ulreth appears to be a smaller threat, bringing evidence of his collaboration with foreign forces should force the town of Torch to react upon him without the involvement of this party." "Observation: Current consensus appears to have selected Meyanda as next potential target. This unit will prepare both lethal and non-lethal takedown abilities. Suggestion: Seizing and securing more technological objects would help against inevitable Technic League strike towards Torch." She looks up, clearly ready. ![]()

![]() Hey guys - I won't be able to post until tomorrow. Though, as next week comes around, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to make at least a post a day again for the foreseeable future. I apologise if I'm slowing the game down! ![]()

![]() LaRA remains still, as her eyes recover from the bright light. Observation: It would appear that entity Sam Caskgrip has chosen not to continue its existance on the mortal domain., she ponders. Hypothesis: Perhaps personal beliefs have led entity Sam Caskgrip to a colloquially known 'better place'. She looks around, her face not betraying any feeling. Correlating my personal beliefs with observed phenomenon... She looks around at the grieving family. Personal observation: Insufficient data exists for grieving rituals. Passive observation suggested. She remains still and quiet, only her darting eyes betray she's paying close attention to the family and her surroundings. Rolls/OoC: Sense Motive: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (17) - 3 = 14 To not blurt out something rather... cold-hearted. ![]()

![]() Ton: The android's response is a curt, understanding nod. Slowly raising her hand, she nods again, indicating that she has a response, but isn't willing to speak at the moment. As the ritual concludes, LaRA's head slowly turns at Ton, before speaking in a quiet voice. "Affirmative. Statement: Differentiation between indirect language and intentional obfuscation is a primary requirement in conversation with intelligent species.", she replies, before a small, satisfied smile spreads across her face. "While your data on the Technic League was mildly inaccurate, observation on entity Sanvil Trett confirmed previous intentions to counteract their effect and power. However, I must note that this unit's attempt at intentional obfuscation was effective at least to one sapient." She smiles once more, before turning her head. "This unit is currently contemplating existance. Please, hold your queries until further notice." I was considering not posting until the ritual is finished, but I thought I'd have enough time to reply. And LaRA may or may not be happy that she fooled at least someone with her first attempt at a lie.

![]() After the battle, LaRA appears to be at a loss of words. Looking at the grief-stricken family go over Charles' little brother, she appears to be deep in thought, her eyes darting around. As the topic of the scroll is broached, she raises her pursefull of silverdisks, but continues to ponder nevertheless. At the church, she still hasn't said a word, quietly continuing the ticks of her hands, until her hand suddenly snaps at Charles. "Statement: I apologise for this unit's inability to manipulate the circumstances to a better outcome.", she states. "Query: Would social unit Caskgrips object to this unit's presence while the ritual is ongoing? New cycles are the most crucial event in an android's existance." Blinking twice, she adds. "This unit will maintain complete silence, and direct interaction is not required." Rolls/OoC: LaRA would be quite honoured to be present as part of the ritual - and it might shed some light onto her particular manner of speech. But then again, I'd hate to feel like I'm intruding, so don't feel forced to accept if Charles wouldn't ordinarily be willing to do so. ![]()

![]() I'm sorry for being unable to post earlier - everything went rapidly downhill with one of our clients, and I'm responsible for putting everything back together, 14 hours and counting. I'm currently still working from home and probably will be for the next several hours, but I have enough time to make a post! @GM - I think I'm a bit overstretched for the next couple of months, and I'm a part of a Hell's Rebels game already. It's a great adventure path, though, so best of luck! ![]()

![]() Hey guys, sorry about being unable to post yesterday, I'm being barraged at work, as my boss is on vacation and I'm picking up some of the slack. I'd happily chip in for the scroll, however! I'll work on a post tonight. ![]()

![]() Ugh. Yeah, good point. I get logorrhetic, even. Idea is, LaRA's telling Sanvil she's willing to be taken as a willing hostage, since the party lied to her about the Technic League, and because that's the only way Sanvil can escape. LaRA's proposing a hostage exchange. It's not because she's brave, treacherous or heroic, but because it's the most logical solution. ![]()

![]() LaRA lowers her hands to stare at the other android. Calculating..., her eyes begin to dart around. "Statement: This situation is in direct conflict with previously acquired data.", her mouth snaps with a somewhat accusatory tone at Ton and Wulf. Hurling her crossbow on the ground, she takes a couple of steps away from the group, until she is observing both sides of the hostage situation. "Previous data has indicated that this unit would be dismantled and studied immediately upon seizure by organisation Technic League on grounds of it being an android.", she claims. "Observation: Hostile unit appears to be an android associated with organisation Technic League. Two hypothesis are most likely: That the hostile unit is operating under magical influence, and that your data has been incorrect.", she announces, her hands twitching in the air, as if grasping invisible strings. "Due to the android's thought patterns, the initial hypothesis is less likely. Therefore, false information has been given to this unit by my former 'string'.", she almost seems hurt by the implication. Snapping her head at the android previously known as Sanvil Trett, she continues. "Unit designated Sanvil Trett is at an immediate tactical disadvantage, only slightly countermanded by opposing entities' adherence to emotions.", she calmly explains. "Statement: I can only predict one situation that doesn't end up in termination of unit designated Sanvil Trett and failure of your mission.", she glances at the other android, as if failing your mission is worse than death. Taking a step forwards, she glances at the party once more. "Judging by empirical data of your continuing existance, I hypothesise that this unit's goals will be better served by contact with the Technic League." Another cold stare washes over the party, stopping at Ton'iel for a moment. "Despite misanthropic tendencies, I do not believe the party would be willing to undertake violent actions towards you if this unit would act as a voluntary protection against them. An involuntary barrier would be detrimental to your long-term mobility.", she says, as her hand points to Sam. "In return, I expect access to viable information of Golarion development, laboratories and arcane reagents.", she says, calmly walking between Wulf and Sanvil and raising her hands in the air, as she stares the large man in the eyes. "Notifying the Technic League runs countermand to my objectives. We cannot let you do that.", she replies in a colder voice than usual, as a blast of golden specks explodes amidst the Sanvil Tretts. Rolls/OoC: I decided to paraphrase HAL. Because why not. Casting Glitterdust with my 1/day Bonded Item ability: DC:17 or he's blinded for 3 turns.

![]() Great apologies about being late. Work's gone absolutely mental these couple of weeks! LaRA, after dismissing her elemental, watches the interrogation with great interest. "Observation:", she says a moment after the ratfolk departs. "Initial studies on Golarion culture indicate higher amount of pain-receptor triggering activities when collecting data from formerly hostile forces.", she notes as her writing implement darts onto the paper with almost unnatural celerity, before she closes her book. "Statement: Considerable re-evaluation of 'culture' and 'empathy' have been reached by natives. Objective: Re-evaluate if increased use of empathy beneficial or detrimental.", she smiles, before turning at Garfaulk with interest. "Statement: Your actions were illogical.", she states, with no room for argument in her voice. "Query: Was the logical decision to depend on your personal fortitude and statistical data to shake the interrogation subject's belief in the rationality of your actions, thus forcing him to choose unfamiliar behavioural patterns?", she shoots a stream of words at the dwarf, seemingly still pondering on his actions. Clarification needed. As the topic of the Hellion and the Scrapwall are brought up, LaRA closes her eyes, as her fingers begin darting in the air. "Observation: Transmission of power over elongated distances involves additional energy. Localising energy to a simple place for the reason of simple sociological advantage is primitive.", she says, before opening her eyes. "Hypothesis: Entity Hellion's location is connected to Scrapwall. Further information on Scrapwall required for more accurate dissemination of Hellion's goals. Warning: It is unlikely that this 'string's goals can correlate with Entity Hellion's. Suggested course of action: Resource recuperation, followed by interrogation of entity Meyanda." ![]()

![]() Surprise parties are the best! @GM - I gotta say, summarising a couple of turns at the end of the combat is a great tactic in PbP, and I applaud you for it. Considering the Mud Elemental has an Engulf, would it be possible to capture one of the ratfolk alive? Then again, interrogating enemies is pretty-time consuming, too, so I'll say I cast the spell (and remembered that summons are used at the start of combat, not the end), and I'll defer to your judgement in this situation. ![]()

![]() LaRA nods at Zeke, as her eyes begin glowing once more. "Altering elemental formula.", she blurts out, as the dirt in the room begins bubbling. "Warning: Arcane resources at critical levels!", she adds, as the extradimentional rift begins to appear in the room. Rolls/OoC: I should seriously start summoning sooner. Summoning a Small Mud Elemental With 18 Str and 17 Con.
