Salus watches the guards warily as the two elves walk into the village. "Lets find a place to stay tonight. Then maybe we will be able to relax for a bit." Salus starts watching for a out of the way inn as they walk through the village.
To Salus "I am not sure where we should go first I would like to see the Ice pyramid. How ever I am not sure I will be able to relax at all. It aways seems that I am looking over my shoulder or listening for every little sound. Do you think we will ever get use to this?"
"I don't know, I hope not or it might be the end of us. The pyramid sounds fine." Salus starts walking towards the pyramid.
Salus looks around at the strange surroundings, constantly reminding himself to relax and try not to analyze everything as a threat as he does in the field. Salus turns to his companion, "So where should we go first."

Salus was born to a wealthy aristocratic family and grew up in a sheltered home. He soon became bored with his easy life and started looking for a way to escape his silken perfumed cage. When the elves moved to answer the call of the Emperor Salus found his chance and confronted his father telling him that he was staying to defend the forest. At first Salus's father just called him a foolish boy but the more Salus insisted the more his father's anger rose. After several hours Salus left the house pushing away his mothers pleas and ignoring his fathers accusations of being a traitor and coward.
For the next several years Salus has honed his skills with the small band of resistance fighters against the demon infesting their old homeland. Just recently he has received news from his mother that he is needed, his father is dying. Salus was torn on whether he should leave or not because he really no longer cares about his father. News quickly spread that he was requested to head towards the Well of Life and was approached by his commanding officer and was asked if he could go there under the guise of visiting his family and gather any information he could and return with it. After traveling several months Salus has just arrived in the Well of Life ready to start his assignment. After this I should be ready to go. I will help my wife Nani finish up her stuff tonight and then she should be ready around tomorrow night.

So where am I from? I am alright with being a 'spy' for the advancing army. So what are the limitations on equipment? I thought I read that you would handle anything above masterwork but if we do get to buy our gear what is our starting gold.
Originally I was thinking of being a deserter from the huge elven army but I am interested what these will bring.
