Ok so I've started RRR and a problem has arisen that I was expecting with my group.
What can I do to keep them at home?
Ok. So I've read and re-read the Kingdom building rules many time over and there are some things that aren't covered. The first thing is that in RRR it says that another village "springs up"
and when Loy Rezbin wants to build a town...are the pcs fitting the bill for all future buildings as well? I guess I'm also wondering why people can't just approach the characters in the future with plans to build, say a shop and pay for the whole thing themselves. There is also nothing in the rules about how long things actually take to build. I decided that one month per square was a good starting point. I also think that in the beginning I'm not going to penalize the pcs for vacancies. Does the Kingdom really need a general to command their "armies" when the population is so small?
If anyone has any feedback I'd love to hear it!
My party has recently begun "Stolen Land" and we are playing with only 3 PC's. In this case there will be alot of leadership roles covered by npcs.
such as Akiros Ismort - General. I know I saw a list somewhere, but I'm at a loss as to where.
Okay so I have recently come into the possession of a Shield Guardian and have cast Awaken Construct (Spell Compendium)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. edit: our party's average level is 15. Mine is a 15th level Wizard
Had an idea kicking around in my head for a while now.
Why is it that EVERY fighter has to have the same saving throw make-up?
What if we were able to take points for our saves and distribute them as we see fit? eg: A fighter gets a +2 base fort save a t first level right?
Who is to say a fighter can't be strong of Will and not so much on the Fortitude scale. Any thoughts?
I just checked my subscriptions because I was wondering why I havent received word of Pathfinder #7 shipping yet.
Now the other thing I was wondering: I started my subscription to Gamemastery after I had already been sub to Pathfinder, but when I did so I chose the option "ship as one shipment"
Thanks,
So at long last Paizo has decided to throw caution to the wind and continue supporting 3.5 en route to their own version of the rules.
Paizo is really throwing caution to the wind here by not tossing their hat into full support of 4E. Please do not fault them for making what many might deem "a bad business decision". Please respect the fine folk at Paizo for making a decision that they feel is best for them.
I thank Paizo for listening to their fans and putting their trust in our hands. We wont let you down.
So I received nearly all the items in my order and I'm relatively happy (wish I could've got the other freeport books. Tried but were gone) but in my order it says ; Items not shipped : Avatars Handbook
ps: thanks for the pack of item cards. It was a nice touch. I never realized how cool they are!
Ok so I've just (nearly) finished Encounter at Blackwall. The party is on their way back to the keep.
I know this isn't much to go on, but I always hate bringing characters in mid-campaign. Any ideas are appreciated
I have a couple questions: 1. I wanted to order the Advanced Bestiary along with some other things but when I added it to the 8 or so things in my cart, the shipping cost went through the roof! So I figured I'd wait. (My order is still "pending")
I recently renewed my subscription to Dragon and under "My Subscriptions" it says that issue 349 shipped on Oct 3rd and issue 351 will ship on Nov 28.
Thanks in advance.
I plan on staring a new campaign using rules from HoH and I was wondering if anyone knows any older dungeon modules that would have the appropriate "Lovecraftian" feel to them.
P.S. I am also using the campaign setting "SpirosBlaak"
I just picked up the Fiendish Codex: Hordes of the Abyss and after reading the introduction it said that the book contained prestige classes. But after flipping through it was apparent that there were none.
Great book, otherwise.
A subject that I feel hasn't really been covered in the rules is what exactly can cause a character to wake up from sleep in D&D. (Other than loud noise or rigorous motion) For example :
What if someone is being level-drained while sleeping?
I wasn't really sure where to put this thread, but anyways here it is....
