Had an idea kicking around in my head for a while now.
This stems from how fighters always seem to be the target of 'hold person'.

Why is it that EVERY fighter has to have the same saving throw make-up?
Or wizards? etc....

What if we were able to take points for our saves and distribute them as we see fit?

eg: A fighter gets a +2 base fort save a t first level right?
Take those 2 points and either put them both in your will save. Or your Ref save. Or one in each. Or leave it in Fort if you so desire?

Who is to say a fighter can't be strong of Will and not so much on the Fortitude scale.

Any thoughts?

So at long last Paizo has decided to throw caution to the wind and continue supporting 3.5 en route to their own version of the rules.
Now alot of the people here will be thrilled with this decision. (myself included) But of course there will be many out there who are less than pleased. So I say lets not use this announcement to add further fuel to the fire of 3.5 vs 4E.
A choice had been made, whether people agree with it or not. So please do not start with the "I told you so" threads.

Paizo is really throwing caution to the wind here by not tossing their hat into full support of 4E. Please do not fault them for making what many might deem "a bad business decision". Please respect the fine folk at Paizo for making a decision that they feel is best for them.
Of course only time will tell what the future brings. But I hope this announcement can at least bring the tension level down a bit on the 3.5 vs. 4E scale.

I thank Paizo for listening to their fans and putting their trust in our hands. We wont let you down.

Ok so I've just (nearly) finished Encounter at Blackwall. The party is on their way back to the keep.
I plan on bringing in 2 new characters in between, but I'm stuck for a good way/reason for the 2 new guys to meet the rest of the group.
The swordsage died near the end of the adventure. That player is now brnging in a Whisper Gnome Ranger/Barbarian (fav enemy undead) and a friend who is down for one night will be playing a Warforged fighter.
Now before they return to Diamond Lake they will have the fight with the Spawn of Kyuss, but at 6th level they should put it down without a scratch.
The Gnome's player has mentioned he may be searching for the person that wiped out nearly all of his clan. I was toying with the idea of that person being Darl Quethos. I really think a character that cool should be foreshadowed in some way.

I know this isn't much to go on, but I always hate bringing characters in mid-campaign. Any ideas are appreciated

I'm happy there's no more Laubenstein in the works. No insult meant to him, but I didn't like his Shadowrun stuff and I like his Pathfinder stuff less.

I heartily agree here.

As for Kyle; I have no problem with his stuff. I'm just glad they haven't hired on BAXA to do their artwork. *shudder*
