Thanks for playing guys - I hope to see you around these boards in the future.
Kassandra turns her attention to the wererats and makes some gestures with her right hand towards them at the same time as throwing a pebble at the general direction of the one which is further away from Miet.
Slumber Hex on the wererat further away from Miet ("the first wererat"); if it works, this should allow Ellantera and Miet to flank the wererat between them.
Putting aside her magics, Kassandra loads her crossbow and fires a bolt at one of the donkey rats, but it unfortunately misses its mark by a good two feet. Kassandra hisses and puts the crossbow away.
Crossbow attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Sorry about the late posting! I am traveling around and abroad this summer and posting has not always been easy. I'm sorry again, and if these things happen please feel free to play Kassandra and not wait for me for too long!
After healing the rogue, Kassandra turns towards Uraisa's foe and attempts to subdue her, at least temporarily. She raises her hands in a strange gesture, whispering a few words in what sounds like gibberish.
Sleep hex on Uraisa'a foe.
Kassandra scans the battlefield, torn between her urge to burn the rats and helping her wounded party member. As Miet moves up and begins to cast a spell of her own, she makes her mind and sharply turns towards the wounded Shiv. Muttering a short incantation, she pulls a talisman from one of her pockets and presses it onto one of Shiv's wounds.
Healing hex on Shiv for a 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 point heal.
How many enemies can Kassandra catch in range of her Burning Hands spell? If she can get three, she'll cast the spell, otherwise she will use a Healing hex on Shiv.
Kassandra will direct her spell at the two rats attacking Shiv then.
Kassandra moves forward, muttering a few arcane words while throwing sand in the general direction of the tower girls.
Cast Sleep on the tower girls,
Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Kassandra nods at Shiv's suggestion. "It might not be the fair thing to do, but this world isn't fair either. Let's get rid of them before they outnumber us, the sooner the better. Just to be sure, we should try to block ourselves in their room to prevent any of their friends attacking us from behind."
Kassandra looks at the girl and replies: "Well, so if she trusts you so much, why did she place you here and not next to her? It seems like you aren't that loyal, as you were ready to betray her almost immediately...". She turns to the rest of the group: "We should tie them here or kill them and move on. I don't have patience negotiating with this one any longer".
"A fair offer indeed. Do you want to start talking? Give us enough and you'll buy your future in more than one way."
Kassandra eyes the prisoner, somewhat surprised. "That's daring on your behalf. Last I checked, you were outnumbered and helpless. That isn't exactly the best condition to begin making demands of your captors. My friend there gave you a generous offer, much more than I would give you. I strongly suggest that you consider it positively."
While talking to her, Kassandra will use a Charm hex on the girl.
Kassandra eyes the woman with some suspicion, but returns her dagger to ond of the foldes in her robe. "I guess we all have our purposes, but first things first. Tell us everything you know about the layout of this place and what lies ahead."
Sense motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Kassandra moves uncomfortably close to the captive and begins questioning her about other sisters and the next rooms. While asking her questions, she draws a dagger and plays with it in front of the captive.
Kassandra shrugs at Shiv, "It was almost too easy", and moves on to help binding the other unconscious girls. Once they are all tied up, if they are all still unconscious, Kassandra will wake one up and question her.
Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Kassandra moves next to Miet and throws a handful of glittering dust at the last conscious girl, muttering a few arcane words.
Move to E28; Slumber hex on the last tower girl - DC 15 vs. Will save.
Kassandra moves in the middle of the group, trying to keep quiet and listen for anything unusual.
Kassandra follows the others while trying to make sense of the murals. She examines the dry bones, moving some with the tip of her staff but takes care not to be left behind.
Kassandra crosses over to the platform after the others, then goes through the passage and reaches the room.
"Can you see or hear anything from there?", Kassandra whispers as she keeps her distance from the ledge without looking down.
Kassandra glances back at the prisoners before moving ahead with the others. After Miet talks to the prisoners, she remarks, loud enough for the prisoners to hear, "In fact, they should thank us for not killing them. I'm not sure we would get the same treatment if they would have subdued us".
Kassandra steps in, answering Shiv, "We don't need to hold them for long, but we should definitely keep them tied or locked until after we take care of Ayala. I don't want to release them before we're done here - they can turn upon us, and might still come in handy if we'll need more information here".
Kassandra winces at the sight of Shiv munching on a rat's thigh and turns her attention back to the captives. After the captive wakes up and answers Ellantera's question, she adds, "What did you store in the room over there? And where is it now?"
Kassandra remains with the prisoners (and makes sure they are all securely tied) until they regain consciousness.
Since the melee around the surviving wererat becomes too crowded for any effective action on her part, Kassandra moves towards Miet and Erwin and helps them tie up the girls.
Kassandra sighs with slight exasperation as most of the enemies lose their consciousness. She gestures towards the still conscious wererat, silently moving her mouth.
Sleep hex on Wererat.
I would have probably chosen a similar spot, waiting for danger to come my way...
Sorry for being away for a while - I had a super-busy week and a half at work. I should be back to posting now. Ellantera: thanks for covering for me.
Kassandra looks around in the darkness. As Shiv advances, she mutters a few words and conjures a ball of weak, soft light. If no one rejects, she will start tracing the entrance and the first room by sending the light up and getting a better sight of the surroundings.
Cast Dancing Lights
Stealth:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Kassandra stays silent, wrapped up in her black robes while the others row. She winces and rolls her eyes each time someone else makes a noise.
Here as well! (just saying)
Kassandra paces in the background, not having the patience to interrogate Natalya. When she starts crying, Kassandra rolls her eyes and leaves the room.
Kassandra listens to Uraisa and Lady Sheila, and quickly realizes the many opportunities pursuing the artifact would create. "This is becoming more interested than my usual jobs. I'm definitely in as well".
As Lady Sheila begins to speak, Kassandra becomes more attentive and excited. She asks Uraisa to hold it, and after experiencing its power for herself, she asks Lady Sheila: "Do you have any idea how Natalya found such an artifact? She didn't seem too bright to me".
After she answers, Kassandra will also ask: "You obviously seem to know more about this artifact than we do. Would you mind telling us more?"
Kassandra observes the sibling drama that evolves, but does not say anything.
Kassandra steps closer to Uraisa and touches her shoulder while whispering a few words. However the witch's exhaustion from the battle prevents her hex from being very effective.
Healing hex on Uraisa, 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 heal.
Kassandra loads another bolt and shoots at the remaining Tower girl, but misses by a few yards.
Attack:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
As her enemy retreats, Kassandra's blood cools down a bit, although she is still too excited to attempt any kind of magic or care about anything other than her soon-to-be victim. Intent on drawing more blood, she pulls out her crossbow, loads it and fires a bolt straight at the woman.
Crossbow: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19, damage: 1d8 ⇒ 6

Sorry for the late response... it looks like Uraisa took Kassandra's action, so I'll play along that:
After Kassandra managed to pierce with her dagger and find a weak part in her enemy's armor, drawing blood, she smiled and moved back grinning to herself in satisfaction. Her smile remained on her face, and it appears to have annoyed the woman who slashed at her. Kassandra saw the blade moving towards her as the world around her slowed down. She tried to dodge the slash, and her last thought before the blow connected was "who would try to melee without armor?". Then there was only pain. The woman's sword slashed Kassandra's hip, reaching to the bone and sending vibrations throughout the witch's body. An uncontrollable shout came out of her throat as she stopped thinking clearly and felt a primal urge which must have been bloodlust burst inside her. Ignoring her own safety and forgetting her healing magics, she lunged forward with her dagger, this time slashing her opponent across the face.
AOO: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18, Damage:1d4 ⇒ 2
As her closest foe attempts to move, Kassandra lunges forwards with her dagger, this time drawing some blood.
A somewhat late AOO: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Kassandra tries to slash towards the the woman with her dagger, but her lounge is unbalanced and the women easily dodges it before firing at Natalya. As she sees their former quarry collapse and bleed heavily, Kassandra tries to stop the woman next to her with another Slumber Hex, hoping her target would not be strong enough of will to resist her magic.
Slumber hex on TG1.
Kassandra moves towards the new enemies through the muck, move to P26 and utters some strange words at the closest woman while pointing her feathered staff at her and gesturing with her hands.
Slumber hex on TG2.
Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Kassandra delays until after TG2 acts, giving Miet's convincing diplomatic overtures at least a chance to succeed while also trying some diplomacy herself.
Kassandra looks around at the thugs and calmly comments "I wouldn't act so quickly if I were you. Our Sczarni friends should block the exit behind you, while we have quite few other mercenaries of our own around here" as she points to Shiv.
Bluff: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
If we're still in the last room:
Kassandra looks somewhat amused with Shiv ordering the group around, and even more so after he shuts up his sister so quickly. "Family drama, the best kind", she says with a chuckle, just loudly enough to be heard and then moves behind the sewer pipe.
Kassandra moves to block Natalya's route escape, but doesn't try to grapple her with all the sewage and grease around.
Kassandra descends to the room floor by using the ladder, then loads her crossbow and tries to aim at Natalya, but she won't fire yet.
Kassandra looks surprised as the woman brushes next to her, jumping down unexpectedly. She feebly tries to stop her by slashing with her dagger, but she only cuts the open air. Frustratingly, she curses and throws her dagger towards the general direction in which Natalya attempts to flee but isn't even close.
1d20 ⇒ 7
Kassandra hears the noises from above and remains below the high platform, intending to react if Natalya jumps down, tries to follow Shiv or run away.
