Kamenwati frowned as he stared at another mess of a thoughtful act. It was, at least, recognizable as he pulled it from the oven. He was sure if he still had official access to the kitchens this wouldn't keep happening. A few more tries and a few more hours the young half-fiend gave up and asked the school's chefs for help.

One possibly bad idea(teleporting right to the engineer room) Kam left a large cake for Aananada and left. Out of the whole family of dragons she was the least scary to him at times. She overworked too, and he'd heard she forgot to eat sometimes.

He did feel guilty about this though, and it was why he was trying to be sneaky. After all, he hadn't done anything like for his birth mother. Not that he had been able to at the time.

"Maybe I'm trying to make up for that now...." He mutters as he heads back to the room he shared with Taron.

Well it's not like you'd even feel it...

Damn. That's surprisingly depressing.

Well he's not wrong...

*flails helplessly to try and take the monitors from Aananda, but can't get out of his sudden rocky cage*

"And on that note, I'll be heading out. Nice to meet you, David." Kamenwati says politely as he leaves, already sending the conversation to Taron for a bit of a familial laugh.

"Taron had ours. We flipped a coin and he called it wrong." He says, deliberately not explaining any further. Whether out of a desire to see further confusion on the wishcrafter's face or just to keep it private was unclear.

"It's true, she's incredibly irritating that way." A blond young man in simple clothes says as he stops by with a cart of his own. He leans on the cart and grins as he thinks. "Honestly, thinking on it, only their grandmother isn't annoying. Things I've dealt with so far in crude but so far are not limited to: hazing, being shot at, pranked, having my pants cursed, having my pants cursed by Taron, several schemes to get grandchildren, shot at again, the misfortune of asking the wrong Sunwake to boil water, and...." He pauses to think of just one last thing. "Oh, yeah. The most nerve wracking cup of tea I've ever had."

"How's life treating you, Annie? Tare sent me down here to get more food. He wants to wants to watch some old vids and chill out for a bit, so we needed supplies."

...get out now.

Oh, wait, you need to show interest first. Don't make that mistake. They do the weirdest things, and not all of them are the fun kind.

It would be quite a shock.

Reading an amazing webcomic again, and found this. seems familiar. Where have I seen a reaction like that before?

Oh, yeah... XD

Well, I can see I'm going to probably have to deal with that at some point...

But some are. ;)

Hey, Dad.

See, I know how he feels. Getting hazed by the family is not fun. -_-

Kam and Taron take over for the next few sounds, keeping the songs going upbeat as they play.

Brave

Embers as an added bonus, the first few lines are perfect for me.

Shooting Star non-mobile device lyric video. >>Mobile friendly music video here.<<

I've discovered my list of appropriate songs is, in total: 1.

:/

Fieri and Pan arrived at the practice room, loaded down with instruments, ready to get all set up to play.

Kam comes in with his guitar and wearing a black stage outfit.

"We thought up some new songs for after the wake."

"We'll be there." Kam promises, putting the cello in the corner and saying goodbye to the eggs before leaving.

"Okay, we can work with this." Kam says after reading the list.

"Somber music then, or upbeat? I hot Taron listening in now too. He says hi."
"A little of both. Mostly upbeat, I think. I've got a few new songs I've been working on the last few days in what spare seconds I've had. And tell Taron I said hi back."

"He heard you. Do you have any particular music in mind? Songs perhaps?"

"Somber music then, or upbeat? I hot Taron listening in now too. He says hi."

Thanks. I was shown it on Sunday, thought it was awesome.

She pulls away wiping tears from her eyes and nodded. And then stopped as if considering.

"No, I don't think it can wait for tomorrow," she said, looking suddenly determined. "Excuse me, Ardiente, but there's something I need to do. And this time you're not going to be able to help me...you're not exactly musically inclined," she added with an apologetic shrug.

And with that she took off back inside, nearly running as she looked for Taron and/or Kam.

Oh my.

Kamenwati us sitting in the hatchery, playing a song with the rather... inventive... use of a cello. The eggs all seem to love it.

*facepalm*

Some more so than others...

Could you link to the Master of Storm? Storms are kind of Kam's thing.

"So what happened? I've been getting scrambled messages fromTaron. He's worried big time and barely has the concentration now to help Ryo."

"I might as well help out like this. Taron and I haven't been doing the best at this whole family thing lately."

"Don't thank me, Krays. I would have been here no matter what."

"They are fine. I sensed the electrical charge headed this way and covered the room in a different kind to protect it. The incubators are still operational."

"You just missed Taron. He checked on them too before going to offer his help rebuilding the wards."

Kamenwati apoears in the Hatchery in a flash of blue-black lightning.

"Go help, Krays. I'll hold this room with my very soul if I have too."

Might be neat.

Kam sat in his room with Taron, writing a song for his children, neices, and nephews. He couldn't even hear their mental presence. Must be napping.

I'm so showing more skin on stage. ;)

I'm not entire sure kobold and human parts are... compatible, if you take my meaning.

Not compatible? They obviously weren't trying hard enough. ;p

Re: Biting
Damage reduction is a wonderul thing to have when your mate's a dragon. ;)

Pfft, please. When Ryleh hugs you I'll be impressed.

Am I exempt from the Anahita lectures? I used an armband, not a mask...

"Of course. It soothes them. Even if they can't understand the words yet, they like hearing the sound of voices."

"You don't need to be so nervous, Kamenwati. No matter what family quarrels we may have no one begrudges you time with your children."

"I'm not nervous, I just didn't think anyone else was in here is all."

"Show her what we brought back with us." Tarons tells him as he mentally greets his neices and nephews. Such young minds, such a strong bond already. This must be like how his bond with his siblings was, even back before Kam.

Kam holds the misshapen music box out to Ryleh and opens it, glad James had fixed it to the point he didn't have to wrench it open and worry about breaking it.

"It's... it's from Ianthe. It plays a dragon lullaby."

"Fire and glare!" Kam exclaims, using an Underdark phrase as he jumps at Ryleh's sudden appearance. "What is with this family and trying to give me a heart attack?!"

"You do realize this is a place the family frequents, right? Including Ryleh. The master diviner. Who probably wasn't fooled by that aura?"

While true in every way, the look on Taron's face was so priceless Kam would have lied to see. Theirs was a strange relationship.

Brotherly instinct to kick the @ss of the people tessing the friend of the sister I didn't know I had in 3.. 2.. 1..

Psicrystals, animal companions, familiar, etc are now protected exactly like students are.

Kamenwati goes still as he listens to the lullaby. He couldn't help it, it was beautiful.

"I think we should play that for the eggs later..."

Carefully pulling his claws out of it, Kam hands the relic over carefully.

"We wouldn't have even looked if you hadn't asked."

"Sorry we didn't bring you anything, Vai, but we kinda didn't know about you. Not that we brought anything for the people we did know about other than Jiminy."

Jiminy, Prankster of the Future wrote:
"That's better. Almost civilized even. So. What was it you wanted to talk to me about?"

"It's not much," Kam says quickly, cutting off Taron as he opens up a desk drawer and pulls out a mishappen, burnt black opal, "but we did manage to get some from Ianthe." His hand becomes demon claws before he digs his fingers into the object and wrenches at it. It gives and awful groan before it opens. The inside is in much better condition than the out. Brass filligree lines a small mirror, and what was probably clockwork at one time fills the lower half.

"I'm just Kamenwati. I've no last name I can remember."

"Come on, Tare, I feel like laying down for a bit. We'll unpack when we get up." Kam says, standing up and putting and arm around Taron as she does the same. "We'll be in Taron's room in comas if anyone else decides to chew us out."

"Oh, and tell Jiminy he should come talk to us when he's got the time. He should know what's up."
