Hothan goes over to check out the book on the workbench to skim it for anything useful, and then take it.

Hothan moves as close to the thugs as he can, commanding Freedom to attack the one on the bridge.

A young man wearing the livery of Andoran walks in just as the stranger begins his tale. A torrent of emotions cloud the man's face as he listens quietly. When the tale is told, he looks to the eagle perched nearby and nods almost imperceptibly. Taking a deep breath, he speaks. "Sir, forgive me for sometimes my memory lapses... I don't recall a time when the great nation of Andoran was ruled by an emporer. Could you remind me how many generations of emporers have their been?" he pauses for an answer. Upon hearing one, he continues. "I believe the modt imoortant thing us to tske you home. Once we get you there we can check the premises for threats and ensure your safety. Once ed the place has been thoroughly searched, we can use it as a available safe house and base of operations."

Ok, I put the points into Cha. Which means my play style with him will differ slightly than my original plan: he will still be a front liner with support capabilities when he gets his spells...

My planned Level progression with him is:

1 Pally
2 Oracle
3 Pally
4 Oracle
5 Pally
6 Pally
7 Take it from there

@Hothan: Very creative way to get a huge init bonus. We are doing a 25 point buy so up your stats a little. In the long run are you going to be a tank-ish front-liner?

Azoth is my paladin. Like I said, at second and 3rd level, and possibly future ones, he will multiclass with Oracle to finish off the flavor I am going with.

I am so in on this. Will modify a paladin I have ready to go... or a wizard...

The paladin is a knowledge thirsty warrior of Iomedae, who in the future will multi class with oracle of lore...

I have an idea for build for a wizard, but not for flavor yet

I have also been trying to get into RotRL... I would love a long term game. I even have a couple characters already made up for it.

No requests, but I would be down to do another, if I haven't already played it.

Hothan would definitely want the stone kept for safekeeping and further study.

Challenge grants +1 weapon damage, and +2 on all saving throws against spells or spell-like abilities cast by the subject of his challenge and a +2 bonus on all Bluff and Sense motive checks involving the subject of his challenge.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 4 + 2 = 22
Damaage: 1d4 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 1 = 6

Still about confused about turn order here... So when it is Hothan's turn...

Hothan charges the nearest enemy and strikes with his dagger.
Attack, Charge: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 2 = 14
Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Vic starts a repeated mumble in an obvious effort to calm himself.

"Om mani padme hum Om mani padme hum Om mani padme hum..."

I read as "Inner peace. In-in-in-inner peace." (For those of you that have seen Kung Fu Panda)

"And people wonder why my countrymen despise nobility so..." Hothan says, just loud enough for the meat-shield to hear.

"Let us make hast, fellow Pathfinders," he pitches in as the sounds of battle intensiy in his ears. "We need to end this bloodshed once and for all."

Hothan curses and again being separated from his avian companion, and hustles after Nokazi and Vic.

"I agree. But let us proceed with caution. Remember that we are sorely ill equipped." Hothan dodges some zombies as he throws a fallen nobles' shoe through a window and again signals for Freedom.

Dang it...

Hothan, not wanting to get his kill stolen, moves in for the re-killing of the last undead before them!

I will not be posting at all tomorrow. When I get off work tomorrow morning around 4am (after getting there at 5pm this evening), I have to immediately go home and get 3-4 hours of sleep so that I can drive back to the Dispatch Center 120 miles away to continue my employment testing for 3-4 hours, then drive back to be back at work around 6:30pm tomorrow evening, to work another 10-12 hour shift. I will be able to post once on Sunday, but I have church, my wife's birthday, and work that day so it will be a brief one. Then on Monday, busy season is over, and I will be back to regular posting, probably more than once per day.

I am sorry guys. I didn't mention this before because I hoped it wouldn't be this bad. But I feel I must inform you all that my posting is going to slow down drastically until some time around Christmas. My work is balls to the walls busy for the next 16+ days and I am practically living there. Being off as early as I am right now is a miracle, one that I intend to fill with sleep after I catch up online. Please, DMPC me if I slow things down. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Maybe if we come into some money, as often happens in these sort of quests you can pay me back afterwards? "

Essentially I'm offering to part with 30gp to buy the equivalent of a courtiers outfit to go with Victasys's Armour and 20gp to accessorize Hothan's uniform with jewelry as you normally would with a courtiers outfit.

Good plan with the Mage Armour wand Nokazi.

@Vict, Do not have my books at the moment what are chakrams. How big are they?

I will not be attempting to bring Freedom in. I would like to have her perched somewhere nearby outside, close enough that if combat commences she can hear me signal. The dagger is the only weapon I have that would be acceptable, I fear. I doubt a falchion or a net would be allowed. And my scale mail is not mwk.

Sorry for the dealy, my internet went down. Hothan has only 5 gold. So he will buy a dagger to wear, and he will be wearing his soldier's uniform, minus his scale mail, with the dagger on his belt.

I can wear my Andoran soldier's uniform, and act the part of an officer, but I cannot afford to look prim and proper." a Taldan man of average height says to the Venture-Captain. Just would like to note that if you play this scenario this character cannot finish the first steps series as it is level one specific.

Can't finish it anyway because the other 2 were retired in August lol but thanks :) Also, the Advanced Class Guide playtest is PFS Legal, minus any exceptions that may be in additional resources.
