I guess I find it kind of odd that needing to the roll the die in a d20 tabletop game is somehow a flaw?

To each their own.

Failing to tie your shoes 5% of the time is a flaw.

I mean if I am only taking six seconds to tie my shoes 5% failure isn't too bad.

Why has my DM not gotten his copy yet, I wanted ot play a Shifter in his Strange Aeons game starting tomorrow. Nooooo

I have at this time sent images of said pages to the customer service email address.

So uhhh anyone else's hard cover have chapters mixed and switched in it?

I have recently recieved my Starfinder Core rule book only for it to have a major printing error. My book goes from page 1-256 to 290-320 to 257-287 then to page 321 onward. Unsure if this is a major print issue or just my copy.

The gods of F5 have blessed me this day

Pending...pending...pending..

And so begins the dreaded F5 spam

Just got an email that said Paizo Inc!

Oh it was a twitter email...

I likewise can't understand why anyone who wants the book and the pdf doesn't Just subscribe and get the free pdf.

Commitment issues?

I am a person who buys from retail or amazon and tried to save money when I can. That being said the idea of Starfinder has revitalized my love of pen and paper and has gained my subscription. I do believe I won't be disappointed.

My order is 'pending' and not 'downloading' so I've clearly got the wrong ing.

We wait for answers
Soon we we have them
Soon they will have us

Oh boy oh boy

Wererat
Early adventuring parties always need to fight a wererat. There's like one in every single adventure path.

EST and EDT are actually one hour apart, but there are some regions that ignore EDT and stay on EST all the time. That's why I listed both. Are you in an EST region?

New Jersey, east coast USA. Where it is currently 2:08 AM

Chiming in with a second "What time is it going to be available?" I am dying to see what changes.

They normally go on sale at midnight on the West Coast of the U.S.A. which is on Daylight Savings Time right now. So for North America we have...

11:00 p.m. Alaska Daylight Time (or Pacific Standard Time)
12:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time (or Mountain Standard Time)
_1:00 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time (or Central Standard Time)
_2:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time (or Eastern Standard Time)
_3:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (or Atlantic Standard Time)
_4:00 a.m. Atlantic Daylight Time
_4:30 a.m. Newfoundland Daylight Time

Which would be 7:00 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time

Eastern standard time is the same time as Eastern Daylight time because weird daylight savings time things actually.

If anyone needs to buy this book it is clearly me. Now when can I buy it Damn it.

One level of warpriest gives weapon focus rock. Unless of course the argument is now that ricks aren't weapons.

I vote we draw straws

Curse of the Crimson Throne is a great AP if you can get over the fact it's written for 3.5. I gmed into the second book before the group fell apart. Carrion crown is also great if you set the mood right.

Well get back to me when all the details start getting hammered out, and by that I mean you find more people.

Dotted for interest while I think of a character

With more details I'd be interested.

Alchemist
Int damage on holy water vs undead is pretty good I've heard.

Make it smaller and have a character replace one of their eyes with it.

I think the reason scrolls take longer to draw is because of the fact that you have to look to see what scroll you are taking out. If you just run and draw one you have the same chance of drawing your scroll of cute light wounds as you do your scroll of fireball.

1: Halfling
2: Tiefling
3: Cyclops
4: Kobold
5: Ratfolk

Two of my top 5 I have never actually played.

I like to think the reason there are so few LGBT people in pathfinder is because they are smart enough to avoid murderhobos. So I think paizo is discriminating on us straight cisgendered folk by making us seem stupid by comparison and always bringing our problems on other people.

"which only deals piercing when fired from a gun" <-- what?

If I throw bullets at you as an improvised weapon do the small metal balls or pellets deal piercing as well as bludgeoning damage?

Quilted Cloth was made before the firearm was introduced. It was never updated to include rules about firearms.
The armor describes arrows, bolts, darts, shuriken, and thrown daggers. 4 of the 5 are treated as ammunition. The equivalent being a bullet, which only deals piercing when fired from a gun. The armor does not say bows, crossbows, blowguns, shuriken and thrown daggers, it specifically cites the ammo and lists them as small piercing ranged weapons.

Honestly I'd say it boils down to three options.
1: The DR Works
2: The DR does not Work.
3: The DR works when the fun dies not resolve against touch ac.

By RAW either option 1 or 2 would be a correct interpretation at this time.

What I'm seeing is that the game never defines any firearm as 'a small piercing ranged weapon' unless of course it is a small sized firearm. So by Raw a medium pistol is getting past that DR.

I can only picture this scenario.

"Fear not, for a penny saved is a penny earned."
"...What?"
Her name is not Penny?

Huh...Penny is a name isn't it? Well now my post seems far less silly.

Well if that's the case..vow of silence. Problem solved.

But if that's the case just tell your gm your character only says things you specifically state your character is saying. So if you do recognize the king as the death cult leader and blurt it out, at least your character isn't then assumed to blurt it out.

By low wisdom in real life I assume you mean you are the type to open a chest without checking for traps first. If this is the case get some flash cards for various situations.
(Chest)- Check for traps, don't stand on front when opening.
(Door)- check for traps, crack it ajar and scan what you can see or hear before opening.
(NPC) Check for traps! I mean, Sense motive if asked for a favor. If wearing any symbols ask what they are (or knowledge check of course)
Doing so before hand may seem a little clunky at first and make you're role playing a bit slow or stiff, but eventually you will no longer need them and will give yourself a boost of wisdom as well.

So the rules as written say.
"You gain DR 3/— against attacks of this kind (small piercing weapons). The special layers of the armor have no effect on other kinds of weapons."

The description of the item calls out "arrows, bolts, darts, shuriken, thrown daggers, and other small ranged piercing weapons."

Now my questions is what exactly is a small ranged piercing weapon? As defined in the rules.

Did I win? I never entered but I assumed it was a given that I'd be picked.

Meh I like being a Pathfinder

A hafted weapon attacked to a haft.

On a serious note a haft is essentially a long handle. An example of a hafted weapon would be the spear.

A metal0hafted would be one with a metal haft as opposed to a wooden haft.

I have no idea why there are no two-handed metal-hafted weapons.

A box the party can't open. It doesn't radiate magic nor does it look fancy, it just can't be open. No matter what happens don't let them ever open the box, let them try, let them bring it across the entire campaign world, never let anyone open the box. It will slowly drive them mad.

Have you considered a rogue? They tend to have a good amount of social skills and do benefit from twf.

I don't want to be that guy...but Bolvar Fordragon is the Lich King.
