DM RichD and all,
I am going to drop out of this PbP, in fact I am dropping out of both of the PbP that I am a PC in. I intend to keep GM the three that I run, but I am just not into being a player anymore.
Good luck and good gaming to all,
-- david (aka Gnok and Jocosa)
ps. DM, please uncheck my main ID and my character ID from being active.
Gnok and Jocosa get in line behind Kurag and Bormann and leave the Plague House. "Good riddance."
The "room" all the way to the left. Is there a door / corridor underneath Drosk token on the map, or do we just not know that the room is there?
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
"Good girl. We will get some good food back in town" Gnok tells is friends. He then looks around the room for anything interesting.
Melee scimitar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 181d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Gnok swings at the closest rat to him
Melee scimitar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 111d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Gnok continues to swing at the rat in front of him and misses.
Melee scimitar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 91d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Gnok moves up into the room and attacks the rat that on Kurag but misses.
I have been seriously ill the past week, but the fever has finally broken. I will have a game post out before 1800 EDT today.

"Don't get too far ahead of us. Another of those green jellies and you might end up being mush." Gnok and Jocosa will follow Kurag about twenty feet behind him.
Camping season over and camper closed up (6 months 23 days 20+ hours till we head back again). Grand daughter taken to Bronx Zoo and home. Twelve hours sleep last night. I am good to go!
This coming weekend, Saturday thru Monday, 10 thru 12 October is Campground Closing weekend. We will be extremely busy on Saturday and Sunday, so no posting by me those two days. I should be able to post something on Monday, then Tuesday 13 October is take the 3 year old grand daughter to the Bronx Zoo day, and then home to fall into bed exhausted, so no posting that day either.
Not wishing to purchase anything today, Gnok stands near the door and lets the others buy what they came here for.
Have we cashed in any treasure, or do we just have what left over gold that we started with?
Family first. Blessings be with your daughter and may she grow strong and healthy.

"Let us head back to the plague house. It should not take more than a couple of hours and we can be back in time for the funeral."
Gnok will take the scroll of Barkskin, and his share of gold after everything that is not claimed is sold.
"Well, first the funeral. Then back to Kurst to see if he has gotten anything out of that piece of dirt that we brought him last night."
"To Rodrik" and he lifts a glass of ale in salute to the man.
At the dismissal from Kurst, Gnok starts to head out, but then he hears Daktani comment, and snarls but does not say anything. He leaves before he does something foolish.
"Kurst, he was found in the old burned out temple, with a troll that we killed. He knows something, but what we do not yet know what it is, only that he was involved in the death of your brother." Gnok replies to the Kurst.
"We can always heal him a bit, then beat him till he is bleeding and heal him some more till he tells us what he knows. Or do you have a way of getting him to talk?"
"Yes, let us wake up Kurst. Lead the way Kurag." Gnok says.
"Maybe, maybe not. But he is going to the sheriff and tell him everything he knows." replies Gnok. "Either that or he becomes cat chow."
"I agree. Lets get back to town tonight." He lets those of the group with better people skills, break the news to the farmer and his family, although the gruff dwarf seems to have a soft spot for the dog and the young boy when they greet each other.
"Down girl. Good girl." says Gnok, then points to the boy again, "Guard"
Turning to the half-orc he growls, "next time you threaten the boy, I don't call her off, knowledge that you have or not."
"The only deal you will get is being a nice snack for my cat if you don't tell the sheriff and us everything you know." growls Gnok at the half-orc.
"Then lets get going" the gruff Gnok says. He motions to Jocosa and points at the boy "Guard" and the big cat moves next to the boy and stands ready to attack anything or anyone that threatens him.
"Well do we go back to town since we have the boy, and the half-orc and come back later? Or do we stay here and finish up this now?"
Coming out from the paralysis, Gnok looks quickly around and to make sure everyone is alright, especially Jocosa. "Well that was not fun."
Round 3:
Gnok : 2/10 paralyzed; 2/32 hold breath (16 con)
Jocosa: 2/10 paralyzed; 2/26 hold breath (13 con)
Suffocation Rules
Gnok : 1/10 paralyzed; 1/32 hold breath (16 con)
Jocosa: 1/10 paralyzed; 1/26 hold breath (13 con)
Fort save;DC 20: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Is that 10 damage or 10 rounds?
Gnok, engulfed by the creature finds he cannot move his limbs at all.
Oh well, stuff happens.....
scimitar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 91d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
As the creature attacks, Gnok manages to get another attack in and hits the creature.
Scimitar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 211d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Threat !
Scimitar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 51d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Blech, not confirmed
"Lets get it girl" whispers Gnok to Jocosa, then he moves up to where he can hit the creature(O3) and he hits it hard.
Gnok and Jocosa move to the southern door(Q4) into the room and Gnok opens it.
Tomorrow Sunday 30 August around12:00, the other grandparents are bringing our three year old granddaughter to the camper and after lunch they are leaving her here. Our kids are on an "adult" vacation to Punta Cana, and won't be back till Saturday 5 September around 17:00. And then on Sunday 6 September we are all going to the Columbia County, NY, Fair.
As last time we had her, I may be slow on posting, because of being exhausted, but I will try to keep up. Bot me if needed.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
"Drosk do you know what this is?" asks Gnok as he points out the clear cube to him.
"Let us bring the boy with us, after searching the rest of this hole, and then head back to the sheriffs' office." suggests Gnok.
"Kranzer, after you listen at those doors, could you tie this one up so he can't get free?" as he points at the half-orc.
After the half-orc is tied up, "shall we continue on?"
Apologies, was feeling really lousy yesterday.
Jocosa does his attacks
Gnok, hearing the half-orcs plea, ignores it and lets Jocosa finish his attack. After the half-orc goes down, he will move up and cast a spell on the half-orc.(Stabilize).
Gnok;Handle Animal: 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 4 = 25 Heh, well kiss my grits, it worked!!
"Jocosa, Flank! and Gnok moves up next to Drosk(Q7).
@Drosk - I have been reading up quite a lot on handling AC before stating up Jocosa. She does not know the Flank trick, but that would most likely be the next trick I teach her. I can "push" her next round to flank, but chances of success are "slim".
Gnok keeps an eye out in both directions, hoping that Kranzer moves up and flanks the flood troll, but also making sure that Jocosa, Greta and Drosk are not overwhelmed by the half orc.
If someone goes down, he moves up to cast Stabilize, but till then he stands firm, just keeping on eye out.
Hearing the wizard cast a spell, and hearing the half-orc response, Gnok casts a spell on Jocosa, and says "attack the half-orc" and she bounds past Greta to the spot Drosk just vacated and attacks.
Cast Magic Fang on bite : +1 hit & damage 20 rounds
"Kranzer step into the room so we can get at it." says Gnok, and he and Jocosa wait for the area in front of them to clear.
Knowledge (nature): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
"Kranzer, get the portcullis open" says Gnok. He then looks carefully at the creature and tries to figure out what it is and what he knows about it.
"Lets go" suggests Gnok, and he waits for Kranzer and Bormann to go then he and Jocosa fall in behind them.
"Kranzer, you are the scout. Which way is best?"
"There is something down that corridor" and Gnok points to the corridor where he and Jocosa are standing."
