"An auspicious beginning my new friends, shall we continue on together?"

Gennor stops to catch his breath and begins to compose in his mind a ballad based on this adventure- now what to call it?

Moving Slightly to the right of Jakk so that he can flank the creature, Gennor stabs at the Orc with his Rapier

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Gennor begins to sing a rousing Varisian war chant to embolden his comrades

Gennor takes standard action to Inspire Courage- +1 to attack and damage rolls plus charm and fear saves for all- Huzzah!
Performance (Sing): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Gennor figures that a dazing song might break Jakk's concentration...

Cast Daze/ DC 14 save

Gennor searches his memories of Bardic Lore to see if he can understand the Glyphs.

Religion: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

****!

Gennor throws his alchemists fire at the central kobold of the quartet that just rose up

Throw: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Direct hit and 1 pt splash plus Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3 next round as well.

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Gennor understands both sides of the debate but is inclined to let the Kobolds go, if they are truly seeking to escape with their young ones then they are no problem and if they act to attack us again later, they are little threat now.

"Jakk is the lone orc survivor from when people moved into the mine, a follower of the God of Disease. He's the one we need to stop to end the plague, most likely."

Since you didn't spoiler that, I'll just relay it to the others as they said it to Gennor.

Draconic:
"Oi! My friend here wants to roast you and feed off your bones, I think we should let you go but they won't go for that unless I can show them that keeping you alive is a good thing. Tell me what we can expect ahead in the mines and I will get them to leave you here, tied up, until we go. What say you?"

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Intimidate: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

wasn't sure which roll would apply more...

"I can speak to them, what should I say?"

Until woken or for normal length sleep I believe...

Seeing that he and Alika now had complimentary positioning on the kobold between them, Gennor strikes again with his rapier, hoping for better result this time...

Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 + 2 = 16
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Gennor draws his rapier and strikes at the nearest Kobold.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Gennor turns and targets the kobolds, singing a Varisian lullaby, enchanted to put them into a deep slumber.

Sleep spell, Will 15 DC roll negates- upto 4 HD of kobolds in a 10ft. burst

Realizing that the sorcerer is most likely the most dangerous target, he feels dealing with that threat first would be wise. Raising his voice, he sings out a Varisian Chant that he had learned to focus his magic through, to briefly cloud the mind of another.

Casting Daze on the Sorcerer, DC 14 Will save negates.

"Joy, more Kobolds!" says Gennor only semi-sarcastically...

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

Gennor cautiously follows the elf, but a ways back just so they can't all be hit by one area attack, he looks around the cavern in an attempt to see what he can...

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

But still disoriented from the effects of the thuderstone, he cannot properly concentrate on his surrondings.

Gennor lowers down the end of his 50ft. of rope to Mez and helps him out of the pit, he then crosses the pit himself.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Gennor uses the tip of an arrow to scratch Now What? into the floor of the mine- away from the carts of course.

Gennor is Frail- Con 7- he's a singer, not a marathon runner :)

Fort Save: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (9) - 2 = 7

... this is going to hurt, isn't it?

If this is some sort of trap then it should have been set off when I threw the shovel at the carts earlier- this is the sort of thing I had been expecting...

I believe we cremated the body in the one cart already so I would guess we need to use the other cart

"We should load the oil barrel into one of the carts in the outer room so that we can take it with us- fire might be an effective tool vs. the kobolds."

Gennor prepares his bow again and precedes after Mez, making sure to check the storeroom thoroughly

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Gennor helps Alika search the room

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Still here- I was using Inspire Courage on others so did not need to post any other combat actions...

Realizing that he is less combat capable than some of his allies, Gennor begins to sing a Varisian battle song, in hopes of bolstering their efforts.

Inspire Courage- +1 vs. Fear and Charm effects and +1 to attack rolls and damage rolls to all who can hear him sing

I really don't know what it is but this site's automatic roller REALLY seems to hate me?!

Gennor fires an arrow at one of the kobolds that is still standing, keeping back to avoid being infected.

Attack roll: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Initiative roll: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Oh ****!

Gennor readies an arrow and prepares to fire as soon as the door is opened...

"Mez, I agree about burning the bodies to be safe but we promised to try and return the remains to their families..."

Gennor ignites a sunrod to allow for illumination for him and then slips back to the path to grab one of the shovels lying out there and he brings it back with him- he has gloves on his hands and a handkerchef covering his face to try and avoid dust and possible airborne plague.

He then tosses the shovel at the overturned carts, suspecting a trap.

Thrown shovel: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Gennor will place himself roughly in the middle of the group- so that he is protected by his more heavily armored allies. He readies his short bow and studies the terrain around them as they work their way into the mine.

Perception check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

"No, but thank you- I just hope that helps."

At least it was a decent performance :)

Gennor sings the woman a Varisian lullaby, weaving the cantrip Lullaby and the spell Sleep into the tune to help her enter a deep, restful sleep.

Perform (Sing) Check: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26

"We are terribly sorry for your loss and will do all that we can to return the bodies to their loved ones" and then taking on a even more soothing tone, Gennor asks "Pardon me for my forwardness, but it appears that you have been having difficulty sleeping as is normal with such grief- if you'll allow me, I can sing you a family charm that I used to sing to help calm my cousins so that they could rest- would you like that?"

Gennor realizes that he did not get any money from his companions and based on his own funds purchases 1 Alchemist's Fire, 2 Sun Rods and 3 Flasks of oil, for 18gp 6sp 1cp. Once he joins back up to the others he advises them of the discount the merchant provided. He also thanks the merchant for his assistance.

Gennor enters the merchant's store and inquires about prices for sunrods, alchemist's fire and oil flasks.

"Again, thank you for your time, good health to you."

With that, Gennor leaves the healer's home and heads to the merchant's shop "I'll grab sunrods and Alchemist's fire while you guys get the map."

"Thank you for your time and information, wise one- we shall endeavor to remove this plague from your village as quickly as possible. One last question, is there anywhere here in the village to get alchemist's fire or sunrods?

"Father, I remembered something- supposedly there was a young Orc named Jakk whose family died in the fighting and he swore vengeance- the tales say that he was a worshipper of Urgathoa- as a goddess of disease this would certainly be in her realm, correct?"

Knowledge (Local) check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

That's more like it...

Racking his brain for what he knows about the local area, Gennor remembers something that had eluded his historical ponderings...

Ok, I cannot re-roll History check but can I also try a Know (local) check to see if it shakes something loose from my memory from a different POV?

Knowledge (History) check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Apparently, it won't help all that much >:(
