Lords and Ladies of Gossamer and Shadow Basic Abilities:
Lord of Lady of the Stair (Su): Lords and Ladies of the Stair are able to perceive and interact with the normally invisible and intangible Doors of the Grand Stairway. They may automatically travel through any Door that is not currently locked in order to access the Grand Staircase.

Location Sense (Su): Lords and Ladies have an uncanny sense of direction and location. Upon arriving to or from the Grand Staircase, they may make a DC20 WIS check. If they succeed, they are automatically aware of where they are upon the Grand Staircase or a general sense of the world that they are on (Details subject to GM's discretion), respectively.

Umbra Powers:
Sense the Umbra (Su): You are able to sense to presence or absence of the Umbra in all things. In basic terms, this functions as a permanent Detect Chaos effect that functions as a 20th level spell. If dispelled, the Lord/Lady can reinstate the effect as a free action next turn. The effect also has other effects, which the GM will put into spoilers when applicable.

Chaos Magus (Su): The Umbra Master can draw upon the infinite chaos and entropy that is the Umbra and convert it into arcane magic. If the Lord or Lady is a spellcaster, they may spontaneously expend spell slots in order to cast a spell with the Chaos, Darkness, or Death descriptors. Whether or not the Lord/Lady is a spellcaster, they may cast spells with the Chaos, Darkness, or Death descriptors by expending one Mythic Power per 3 levels of the spell. Spells cast with Mythic Power benefits from the player's choice of any one Metamagic feat for free and are cast of the Mythic versions of the spell, when applicable. This spell is cast at the character's level, for purposes of numeric values.

Power of Entropy (Su): Masters of the Umbra are able to channel the might of the Umbra in ways that no other being can by expending Mythic Power. While this applications of this power are broad, the end result will always be destructive, due to the Umbra's very nature. This ability goes into power levels beyond game terms, so a very vague example will be offered on its use. Example: An army of Orcs is invading a kingdom over a stone bridge. An Umbra Master decides to ask the GM if he can use the power of the Umbra to cause the bridge to crumble, causing the Orc army to fall to their death. The GM allows it, informing the player that the effect will take ALL of their remaining Mythic Power to cause the destruction of so massive of a bridge. So the player chooses to expend the Mythic Power, causing the flaws and cracks in the bridge to expand as the force of entropy is worked on the stonework, causing the bridge to collapse and crumble, causing the Orcs to take a massive amount of falling damage, plus damage from falling rocks.

The Destroyer Cannot Be Destroyed (Ex): Masters of the Umbra are imbued with the power of entropy and, as such, are immune to Negative Energy damage, Death effects, Negative Levels, and Ability Damage/Drain resulting from negative energy (Such as that inflicted by a Wraith).

Chaos Cannot Be Contained (Ex): The Umbra Master is imbued with the power of chaos and, as such, cannot be forced into an alternate form. The Lord/Lady is immune to any and all Petrification, Polymorph, and similar effects, unless they choose to be otherwise.

Eidolon:
Sense the Eidolon (Su): You are able to sense to presence or absence of the Eidolon in all things. In basic terms, this functions as a permanent Detect Law effect that functions as a 20th level spell. If dispelled, the Lord/Lady can reinstate the effect as a free action next turn. The effect also has other effects, which the GM will put into spoilers when applicable.

Order Magus (Su): The Eidolon Master can draw upon the infinite order and stasis that is the Umbra and convert it into arcane magic. If the Lord or Lady is a spellcaster, they may spontaneously expend spell slots in order to cast a spell with the Creation, Law, or Healing descriptors. Whether or not the Lord/Lady is a spellcaster, they may cast spells with the Creation, Law or Healing descriptors by expending one Mythic Power per 3 levels of the spell. Spells cast with Mythic Power benefits from the player's choice of any one Metamagic feat for free and are cast of the Mythic versions of the spell, when applicable. This spell is cast at the character's level, for purposes of numeric values.

Power of Stasis (Su): Masters of the Eidolon are able to channel the might of the Eidolon in ways that no other being can by expending Mythic Power. While this applications of this power are broad, the end result will always be constructive, due to the Umbra's very nature. This ability goes into power levels beyond game terms, so a very vague example will be offered on its use. Example: The PCs are surrounded by hordes of undead in an abandoned cathedral. The Eidolon Master asks the GM if it is permissible to use this power to imbue the cathedral's gargoyles with life and sentience, turning them into allies for the battle. The GM approves, stating that it is within the bounds of the power and states that, due to there being 50 statues in the cathedral, it will take ALL of the character's Mythic Power to accomplish. The player uses the power and the GM determines that the statues animate as Advanced Gargoyles with 4 Paladin levels each, all intent on purging the undead from their beloved cathedral.

Unbreakable Will (Ex): The minds of the Eidolon Masters are restructured by the Eidolon, their thoughts given perfect clarity and order. As such, they are immune to all Mind-Affecting Effects and effects that replicate them.

Stasis of the Eidolon (Ex):The Eidolon Master is imbued with the power of order and, as such, cannot be forced into an alternate form. The Lord/Lady is immune to any and all Petrification, Polymorph, and similar effects, unless they choose to be otherwise. The Lord/Lady is also immune to any and all aging effects and penalties from aging, as well as any Ability Score Damage/Drain resulting from damage to their body (Such as CON damage from a Hound of Tindalos' tongue).

The others will be typed up in a bit, just posting these for perusal.

The 'man' lets out a laugh, "Sufficient guard? As if anyone in all the infinite worlds is foolish enough to invade the home of THE Lord of the Stair? This one laughs at the notion, he does!"

He turns to the small winged girl and tilts his head, "You speak very strangely, little one. How novel! As for how the invitations were made..."

He produces a coin and flips it in the air, then waves a hand. The coin turns into an invitation identical to the one Yin has, only with the name 'Zuurin' engraved on the front, "Wrighting, little one, is how wonders are made. Will woven into reality, drawing upon Umbra and Eidolon alike to create things that piddling things like magic can only spawn through the most belabored of efforts in comparison."

He flips the invitation and it changes back into a coin, "Ah yes, this one apologies, for he forgot to introduce himself. Zuurin is the name of the being standing here before you, the one wondering why you asked why two point six-seven days like it is odd."

Zuurin nods to everyone who accepts, "Most excellent! More guests for the fete. Lord Lucien shall be pleased indeed. Are there any more questions? If not, then I will see you all in six point nine-three days at Lord Lucien's manor."

Apparently, my post was eaten. :/ Let me retype it up and I will have it ready soon!

Ah ok, understood.

Everyone list their Mastery Path and I will certainly add the full details of said paths.

If I remember correctly, there was Master of the Stair, Master of the Umbra, Master of Wrighting, and Master of Invocation, as far as actual selections, correct?

The crystalline man smiles warmly at the giant Garron, "Lord Garron, is it? Lord Lucien's jubilee is celebrating his one-thousandth year as Lord of the Stair. He has been too preoccupied lately with planar matters to worry much about celebrating the last century or two. Given that the Dwimmerlaik have been driven to hiding in the past century and that nasty business with an imminent divine war has been averted, he finally has the time to celebrate. Some of the most august personages of the planes will be attending, from Lord Raziel Terjuron the Slayer of Demogorgon, to the Sultan of the Efreeti, to the rather entertaining Zagyg the Mad. It promises to be a, shall we say, interesting gathering. This one believes that it is a pity that the celebrations will only last two point six-seven days."

He looks at Mineire and nods, his crystalline skin making a slight tinkling noise, "Yes, the Athenaeum, the heart of the Stairs that formed upon Lord Lucien becoming a Lord of Gossamer and Shadow. The same Athenaeum that rumors abound of that twists and turns pathways for intruders, forcing them back to where the entered momentarily. The Stair is mysterious and Lord Lucien cares not for explaining it's whims."

He bows to Sashin rather elaborately, "Ah yes, that is pleasing for this one to hear. Lord Lucien will be pleased to hear that one of you esteemed personages was eager to accept his invitation so quickly."

I thought I broke it down for you? Or was that in a PM to someone else?

EDIT: I thought I did so on the actual recruitment thread, right?

Post up!

Hey there, Monkeygod! What's that supposed to mean? Don't make me throw a coconut at you! :P

The festivities and idle chatter continue in Mineire's makeshift tavern for almost another hour, exchanging stories of the various worlds, getting soused up on planar beverages, and all-together having a relatively normal get-together, at least as normal as can be for beings who walk the Grand Staircase and whose power almost equals that of demigods.

At the height of the festivities, a figure walks into the tavern. Looking at the being, it is almost like a man around eight feet in height formed of a glittering red crystal, almost like a living ruby dressed in a regal purple nobleman's outfit, trimmed with exotic white fur and studded with vibrantly-colored feathers. He pans his gaze around the room, glowing eyes the color of topaz gazing around the room. A smile forms on his crystalline face and he speaks in a warm, but somewhat foppish, tone, "Pardon this one, Lords and Ladies! This one asks for but a moment of your time, if you would indulge him."

After waiting for everyone to quiet down and orient themselves towards him, he continues, "You have this one's sincerest apologies for interrupting your festivities, but this one has a message for you all."

He lightly snaps the fingers on his right hand and, in front of each of the assembled Lords and Ladies, a white card with golden lettering appears. The cards are addressed to them by name in lettering that seems to shift, covering the range of each individual's languages and alphabets. "You are all cordially invited to the Paradiso Ball of Gossamer Lord Lucien Adere, Lord of the Stair, Wielder of the Eidolon, Master of Secrets and Lies, Savior of Lightsworn, and Warden of the Athenaem. Lord Lucien was simply elated when he discovered that so many had Ascended and simply HAD to invite you to his little fete. The party will be hosted at his manor on the world of Solamnis. He has keyed your invitations to the Door so that you may gain entry. The Door is ornate and golden, inscribed with depictions of angels roughly two hundred feet above Union's Door on the right, if you know the reference point."

The crystalline man foppishly flicks his hand, "Do any of you have any questions for this one? He would be most pleased to answer any questions the esteemed personages assembled here would ask him."

This is my dot to get this thread up so everyone else can dot the thread. Gameplay posts will be up soon!

If it is not gameplay, speak unto this thread here!

Yes, my OCD pretty much required this thread to be created!

I am checking in to say that I am back! I will reply to PMs, then create the new campaign thread and post. So sorry for the wait, guys and gals!

To explain, my router was not loading Paizo. I sent Monkeygod a picture showing the screen stuck on the blank loading screen, which it remained on despite reloading the page several times. And the replacement router, which needed to be shipped to the store first, had a defect in the power cord or the receptacle for the charger. When it doesn't get the power it needs, it turns on, but the light is red and it says, basically, that you can only use voice calls when it is not plugged up. So I got new internet and here we are!

I assume that no one has completely jumped ship, right?

I will be putting up a new campaign later and will link it here for those selected. Those who were not selected, feel free to remain in discussion, or go to gameplay, and roleplay as much as you like.

Ok, here are my selections.

1. Monkeygod, who has corresponded with me about his character.

2. Tenro's Mineire

3. Johnnycat93's Barrett

4. Bigrig107's Sashin

5. Billybrainpan's Garron

6. Gyrfalcon's Oneidros

It was REALLY hard to decide between the submissions! I might open up another table later, if it looks like I would be able, but regardless I will keep you all in mind in case there are any drops at a later point.

I am unsure when recruitment will be over. I am waiting on a reply 2 things: one on a submission, the other on a combo that I believe was errata'd. Once those things are determined, I will make my selections.

I really don't think power levels are an issue. Why? For three main reasons.

1. Those below the 'average party power' are balanced by those above it.

2. Enemies are balanced to be a challenge, but do not equate to 'save or TPK'.The encounters are designed, by me, to be fair and equitable fights for all members of the party. Not only that, but the enemies are intelligent and react to threats appropriately. They will target whoever is perceived as the greatest threat, unless they are deliberately sadistic and like to prey upon the weak first at the expense of their own safety.

3. Remember, a great story is made with great roleplaying, not with great numbers.

Monkeygod, that race is approved, along with the custom racial drawback.

Yin, that's not cheating. You are a high enough level where it would make sense being complete.

I AM BUMPING THE DEADLINE TO MONDAY!

Genjo, that armor is fine.

Rynjin, that is allowed.

Yin, very much so.

Garron, I have read somewhere on the boards that Limitless might be getting errata'd in regards to it's capacity to affect creatures. Are you still interested in said ability if it gets errata?

FORGOT TO MENTION! FAMILIARS, ANIMAL COMPANIONS, AND OTHER PERMANENT 'PETS' GAIN +3 CR IN FREE TEMPLATES! IF YOU DO NOT WANT THESE, WE CAN WORK SOMETHING OUT.

Rynjin, that is fine, but I will cut 65 GP from your next treasure split somehow, just to be fair. If you get selected obviously.
As for the Grand Staircase, it is a physical location. It is this settings Infinite Staircase, Yggdrasil, ect, a physical manifestation of the connections between the infinite worlds. Some say that it is more than that, but no one truly knows anything about it beyond the fact that it exists and is one of the few ways to travel across realities, at least no one that is willing to talk about it.
Some Gossamer Worlds are more like demiplanes. Others are like planets, whole planes, a small extradimensional room, or even an alternate reality.

Laird Aitken, everyone's comments about HD are correct. As for Savant, since you are considered a character that would benefit more from the template, it is +1 on one side. The template CAN be +0, if it is applied to a melee-oriented creature, but you are more of an INT caster, no?

Tenro, look below for a spoiler on Witchwyrds. My answer is yes, they live a long time and yes, you may qualify for Breadth of Experience.

Witchwyrd's Spoiler:
The Pactmasters of Katapesh have lived since the city's foundation, if that gives you an idea how old they can live to be.

Garron, you can get Snatch, but can only use it while you're Huge.

Laird Aitken, are those the Rite Publishing templates?

Aanra-127-B6, no, all templates do not take up both sides. That's why I told people to inquire about specific ones if they wanted to take them.

Rynjin, the stat bonuses are not the only reason that Advanced Creature is considered both sides. In gestalt especially, all the bonuses the template grants makes it super-powerful. There is a lot of math involved with showing how though, so for purposes of this thread, I will refrain from posting it.

Cuan, it scales with your HD, not just monster HD.

DON'T FORGET YOUR GOALS/MOTIVATIONS EVERYONE!

Rynjin, you are correct on the character creation guidelines.

Genjo, clearance allowed!

Tenro:
The module is called 'The Harrowing'.

Rynjin, feel free to roll one up, so to speak! I will probably close the thread on Sunday or, possibly, Monday.

Wodin, it would take up one side of the gestalt.

Tenro, I figured so. Path of Genius should appeal to any man cultured enough to have an alligator man stirring some tea! And you know, psionics and stuff. :P I know that picture is technically depicting a Rakshasa and yes, I know what adventure it's from, which happens to be one of my favorite Paizo modules!

Wodin, Solaric Creature is fine.

Lucina, I thought as much. The Darkmoon Covenant was fairly awesome!

Tenro, that is a sick stall man! I am perfectly fine with you tricking that thing out, because that is AWESOME! And trust me, there will be AMPLE opportunity to trade as you journey across the various worlds. You can easily make back what you put into it, if you are shrewd.
And have you taken a look at Legendary Games' Path of the Genius? I just thought that may be good for psionicists/intellectuals.

Oneidros, there is a tradition for Broken Blade, I believe, somewhere in the playtest on these boards for Path of War Expanded.

Barrett, I forgot to mention this, but have you seen Legendary Games Path of the Stranger? It's a really good Mythic Path that is well-suited to gunslingers.

Have I missed any questions?

Cuan, that's a good question. I would think either Archmage or the Psionic one that is coming out would fit thematically and power-wise.

Hotaru, if I recall correctly from the book, Obitu are true living creatures who just happen to have been spawned from an undead. So no undead type, especially since they could then contract their own virus!

Wodin, Holy seems much like Advanced Creature, so assume 2 sides of the gestalt are taken by it.

Lessah, wow, you put some physics into that explanation! Might I ask what you majored in?

I believe there is a feat that lets dragons scribe spells on their scales and consume material components to always count as having said component. I believe it is in one of the newer sourcebooks on dragons. But I'm about to log out in a few minutes, so that will have to wait for later.

Gyrfalcon, I did not know it was officially released yet! Awesome! I love the archetypes of the Harbinger so much. I especially like the Ravenlord, because it brings back fond memories of the first two The Crow movies! I DO like how well Harbinger/Shattered Mirror fits with the idea of being tainted by the Umbra.

TarkXT, understood!

DISCUSSION IS UP FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO ROLEPLAY A BIT!

Ok everyone, discuss things here. Until the campaign begins, this is also a zone where you can roleplay, so have at it!

It's in one of the last Dragon Magazines Paizo produced back in 3.X. I can look for it later if you remind me.

Tenro, you are just a master at USING Umbra powers. That doesn't mean you serve it.
I have no problems with Legendary Items. Your idea would be extremely cool if you could somehow summon the carriage from thin air, which would make carrying treasure a LOT easier.
In the planar markets, very little smuggling is actually necessary. Unless you intend to bring a Heart of Winter into the City of Brass or something like that, smuggling is not necessary.

Raphael, I will figure out how much RP they are later. Remind me in about 12 hours.

Tenro, I would be willing to let you take a Mythic Path now and change it later, due to the special circumstances regarding your situation. and +23 is definitely not bad as an attack bonus! It is not as high as some of the bonuses I have seen, but it is solid and you still have an edge in versatility as a 'mage'.

Wodin, ah ok, nice!

Aannra, it looks pretty tech to me!

Tenro, there is some coming out in the upcoming Mythic Mania books.

Annra-127-B6, yes, but do not expect high tech stuff to come cheap on the planar markets. And yes, there are super high tech worlds. Most of them are super dense arcologies, however, so if you go with this expect a cramped world with lots of towering buildings.
Time Thief is allowed.
Magic and Psionics are two separate forces.

TarkXT, Bonded Armor was really good. Basically you took the feat, spent like 8 hours attuning to it, then you can don it as a full round action, ignore spell failure chance, AND receive less of an armor check penalty, if I recall the information correctly. I haven't touched the feat in years.

Garron, gladiators can come from many worlds, so that is a very broad question. Suffice it to say, it may prove useful to you to reserve the language slot.

Tony, Thunderbeard is correct. The Eidolon is all about Law and stasis, so it may serve you well as a Mastery Path.

Gyrfalcon, those are all your feats, yes. You may reassign them as you see fit.
As for your 18 HD, that is your HD now, due to how gestalt works with monster HD levels. You're essentially a freaking tank made of boulders!
Regarding the world lore, I would say the artifact promoted balance. When the Eidolon and Umbra clash, things though impossible before grow and flourish.
Those classes are approved.

Sashin, Two-Headed Creature takes up 2 levels on 1 side of the gestalt.

Cuan, Mesmerist is acceptable. I rather like the Occult Adventures material. Of course, 'you're talking to an old Ravenloft fanboy who thought that the Mesmerist was one of the best things ever back in 3.X.

Wodin, just out of curiosity, does your world just have typical animals, only bigger, or are they something unique to that world?
Powerful build is 1/2 cheaper than a large upgrade, since it doesn't do as much. Psionic Aptitude seems to be a 2 RP ability. So I think you have enough points for those!

Tenro, ah Union! That's what I was thinking the Mercane city was called! Hey, you might have met my alias! :P As for the feats, see my reply to Gyrfalcon.

Anderlorn, with gestalt, assume the higher of the two.

Lucina, not too powerful at all. Gossamer Lords, by their very definition, are things the deities may very well take a personal interest in. While I will not spoil background history, let's just say Lords and Ladies have had major impacts on divine politics before and, as such, the gods often try to court them. So it is perfectly permissible. And the Gwyndolins are approved. Based on the clan names, are they somehow based on Dark Souls?
You ARE allowed to attune to your homeworld, if that is what you so wish. Most do not, but if you do that is fine.
Regarding that spell-storing armor and Vampiric Touch, I would say that works if it was a natural attack.
You would need to roll to see if it crit, despite pretty much being an auto-hit.
The healing would take place first.
Yes, you would be able to store the Mythic version.
Barret is correct about the item.
Campaign-specific traits are allowed, reflavored of course.

Movin, Nightmare Lord would be only on one side of the gestalt, but see my earlier replies in the thread on Leadership so you can see how I will be about your Dream Slaves.

Hotaru, I do believe that is the first time I have seen anyone other than myself use the term 'flora-chromatic' in years! Kudos!
You may make items intelligent for the usual cost.

Barret, I know a crazy 3.X feat that plays on super-high Initiative.

Reckless, out of curiosity, where is her 3rd arm? Is it in the middle of her chest like that 3 armed giant race? Is it on the right or left side?

Raphael, depends on what you want to do.
The Obitu are allowed, though they need boosting.

Evandariel, the thread is still open for a few more days, so feel free to submit a character.

Ok everyone, after I get back online, I will answer everyone's questions. 53 posts is a lot to sort through! I was just going to get online to reply to a few things, make an interest check, and log off.

Attoshi, wow, that was fast! I am quite impressed with how fast you created that character. And yes, I know that Arcane Bloodragers are kind of busted, but I see little issue with them in this campaign. Why? The enemies are pretty powerful and the 'bosses' have a unique ability that screws with action economy in such a way that 5-6 vs 1 is actually a fair fight, with the PCs having a bit of an edge, though not an overwhelming one.

HighonHolyWater, I believe Thunderbeard is correct. I've always found it odd why it's an enhancement bonus rather than an increase in base speed, especially since it represents the extreme training that Monks undergo. I will rule, however, that a Monk's speed bonus applies to all modes of movement, save solely supernatural ones such as being able to short-range teleport via dimension door, since that's not actually moving per se.
You can fly using Dimensional Assault, yes.

Yin, I would allow that change, presuming you make a notation of it on your character sheet next to flight.
As for favored class bonuses for custom races, just pick one from the pre-existing ones, regular or racial.

Tenro, which metropolis? Axis? Sigil? The City of Brass? Union (Or whatever the Mercane city from the 3.X Epic Level Handbook is called)? Or a homebrew?

Phoenix Hunter, the Sishen are approved as a race.

TarkXT, I have read it! The Merlin Cycle arc is the better of the two series, in my opinion.
As for the armor issue, have you seen the Bonded Armor feat from one of the old Dragon magazines?

Lessah, Mirrodin was an amazing block out of MTG, both regular Mirrodin and Scars of Mirrodin. Despite how much I love Phyrexians though, I felt very sad by the end of the Scars of Mirrodin block, because I loved the world and the peoples within it, all erased and rebuilt as dark reflections of what they were. I hope that Urabrask is not dead and destroys New Phyrexia.

Gavmania, templates do not count against RP.

Jonny...Panic, Replicants are approved as a race, though you are 7 points shy of the limit on racial points.
Also, psionics have already been approved.

Anderlorn, Young YTD? What is the YTD? Yet to be determined?

Billybrainpan, apart from the standard planar languages (Celestial, Abyssal, Infernal, Auran, Ignan, Terran, Aquan, Aklo, ect), there are a few special languages. Would you like a list or would you like to 'reserve' a few language slots? By that I mean have languages that your character knows (And has obtained through the regular means of INT or Linguistics, of course,) but you do not have to place on your character sheet. This way, you may automatically say 'I know this language' if confronted with a language that you do not know, striking one of the 'reserved' language slots from your list. And that size/reach disparity seems very odd indeed.

Gyrfalcon, the Mighty template is allowed, but will deck both sides of the gestalt for 5 levels. Harbinger is allowed, with the caveat you acknowledged.

Fnord72, all of those races and templates are allowed. Each of those only takes up one side of the gestalt.

Tenro, I will have to break down the base creature and calculate things from there. Want me to do so later? The deadline is a week-ish.

Cuan, Pixie takes up one side. Though they can be extremely deadly if built correctly, the base Pixie itself is more 1/2 gestalt consuming. Ah cool. So your world is kind of Fey-ish, it seems? Intelligent Ogres, Pixies, and such?

Everything needs to be complete before you are accepted, but fluff has priority for me.

Thunderbeard, maximize. MOAR BYGER HP!

Sashin, I believe that you mentioned as such earlier. It fits pretty good on a servant of Zon-Kuthon!

Wodin, give me a bit of time to ponder what the RPs for those abilities are. I will get back with you sometime on this, though it may be prudent to remind me. And you took Russian? Sounds vastly more entertaining than French or Spanish, although the alternate letter thing may be a big cumbersome to learn.

Barret, I will peruse your character and deliver the requested feedback for you in a bit. I am about to check up on something. As for the crunch, that will need to be completed before I accept applications, but as I said, if I like a concept enough I might extend recruitment a day or two so a player can finish up on their character. Fluff is vastly more important to me, though crunch is obviously necessary for combat and such.

Barret, ah ok. I ask because your character reminds me a little of Erron Black the gunslinger.
Master of Invocation gains the power of Truenames. In addition to being able to open certain areas locked even to the Masters of the Grand Staircase, you gain a little bit of everything in terms of powers. You are sort of like a jack-of-all-trades in regards to the Master Paths, being able to use bits and pieces of each, but never approaching their power. That is not necessarily a bad thing though, given the fact that you have knowledge of Prokataklysmiaíos, also known as Primordial, the first language spoken in the multiverse that holds much power. Several ruins across the gossamer worlds have the writing, which is normally indecipherable to those who are not gods or who have your specialization. Something you may be interested in is the fact that you can replicate certain spells with Mythic Power. Named Bullet is one of those, just so you know, as are all the Power Words. You also gain power over a certain group of Outsiders, chosen when you gain the path.

Thunderbeard, are you impressed yet? There's also a cool Easter Egg in Coliseum Morpheoun, referencing the Khan of Nightmares.

Wodin, that sounds about right on your calculations for the Half-Giants. And Wodin/Wotan used to be the names that Odin was known by in certain parts of the world. Interesting how you reached the name without intending it, yet it still has meaning! To satiate my curiosity for the moment, what origin is Seranov? I presume it is Russian, right? I know a Seranov or two.

Barret, I already listed a short blurb about each one. Were you referring to a more detailed blurb? And I have a question: have you played Mortal Kombat X yet?

Attoshi, alignments are unrestricted by non-team players will not get selected if I can make them out. If they slip by, they will have a horrible demise in-game if they are not team players. Chaotic Evils beware!
The worlds you are attuned to is something YOU set at character creation. No two PCs will be attuned to the same world, of course. This is more of you building a 'home base' for yourself and picking somewhere thematic for your character. Being attuned to a certain world does not make you it's ruler, but it definitely imbues you with it's essence and a little bit of yourself bleeds into the world. What do I mean by that? You will find out in the story if selected. No spoilers from this guy!
As for the process of changing said attunement, it will be a quest in and of itself. Since players are already attuned to a world of their choosing when they start out, I see little reason to change it, but if you do, the quests are all difficult and unique, almost like a Paladin or Cleric atonement quest.
Regarding how you are attuned, it is often a spontaneous thing done by the Grand Staircase when you reach a world that it feels 'fits' you. Sure, you can attune to another, but why would you at present?
If you want an awesome nickname, feel free to list one! The planar community might eventually come to call you something if you accomplish something title-worthy, but you can come pre-made with one as well.
And 'Khan of Dreams'? Is that a Fallen Cities/London dig or is it more towards the Sandman series?

Raphael, no. There are a few page previews on Drivethrurpg though.

Cuan, I like the idea of both of those, leaning slightly towards the Pixie. That version of the Ogre is acceptable, just clock the race by 3 RP. The template is fine as well.

Reckless, that's tough to say, but probably both sides. It seems powerful enough to penalize it as such, but only just.

Gyrfalcon, Which age category of Gravity Elemental? It matters little, since it only is 1/2 the gestalt up to the CR, but I feel it prudent to ask. As for the Mighty template, which one? I know of two. Of and Battle Imp would only take up 1/2 the gestalt based on CR.

Tenro, then we use the same system! Remember to calculate ability score bonuses from level as well. Force and Savant templates are allowed. Since I own the Advanced Bestiary and see the 'special CR' for Savant, I would likely rule a +1 for Force and a +0 for Savant, as is suggested for the latter if primarily melee combat creatures take the template.

Seranov, Monkeygod is correct. Andreas is one of the designers, so his answer is the correct one in 99% of all scenarios.

Sashin, why did that remind me of Smaug? It's not a bad thing, by the way. I rather like the way he exemplified dragonkind. "You have such nice manners for a thief... and a LIAR!" That part gave me chills when I watched the movie it was so awesome!

Hotaru, you may utilize that for EITHER side of the gestalt. Remember, you are not a X13/X13/Mythic1, because you would be a 26/1 character if so. With gestalt, the classes are blended. You're a 13/1 character, just with much better stats and options. Get what I'm saying?
At-Will SLA's are definitely possibilities that you can consider. They're in the ARG, so I have no issues with them.
That alternate race is perfectly fine.

Yin, the race is approved. What would you be if the Fey type was not a prerequisite?

Gavmania, those are perfectly fine. Read my caveat on Leadership from very early in the thread though.

Zoey, you may spend as much or as little gold as you want. Costs for food are relatively cheap and 100 GP should cover you for quite a while unless you visit somewhere that serves Unicorn Venison or Hellhound Flank Steak, you know? You can also forage on the various world, assuming they have much in the way of edible food. Eastern armors are allowed. And your race's crunch is fine, but the fluff is what I am primarily concerned with.

Lessah, yes to all but number 5. As for that one, would it spoil the flavor any more than Mirrodin spoiled MTG? If you don't like Mirrodin, keep that sacrilege to yourself... ALL SHALL BE ONE!

Wodin, nice Norse reference! I am also pleased with your 'about me' section. Good, consistent players are a GM's dream, figuratively speaking, in PBP.

Anderlorn, Sashin is correct in that you would be well-served gestalting something with that Psion class, but your concept is perfectly fine.

Billybrainpan, the Giant template would only take up one side of the gestalt. Your updated Human is fine. And I have little issue with cheese, so long as it is not overly moldy or is that horrible toffee cheese! :P

Sashin, Pathfinder Zoey is correct. Next week is the deadline. If I see concepts I really like that still need some work, I may extend it a day or two. With such amazing submissions thus far, I think it will be quite hard to top.

Tony, are you referring to yourself as Lune 'the moon' or as a dig on loon, as is 'crazy'?

Tenro, which 3.X rules do you use? There are 2-3 variations on how to break down monster stats. As for your second question, that depends on how powerful the base monster is. If it's a dragon or something, it's well above 20 RP anyway.

Pathfinder Zoey, ah, now I get what you were asking. Yes, it does allow you to take those traits.

Cuan, I have done enough DM/GM work to know not to underestimate a Pixie. Pixie sneak attackers and casters can be downright deadly. What did you have in mind?

TarkXT, right? When I first read LoG&S, I was impressed by how much like MTG the setting was. That's one of the reasons that I was interested in running the campaign. Plus I'm something of a Planescape fanboy too!

Sashin, you get fun things like Planar Adaptation, choice of movement types/speed increases, the ability to open and close Doors that are otherwise unaccessible (In most cases), the ability to seal gates and portals, and the ability to read, write, and speak every language after being exposed to the same language for a total of 3 rounds. These are just a few of the powers.

Barret, not a problem at all!

Bigrig107, hmmm... that poison is kind of crazy. Give me a day to try and figure out just how bad it could be vs appropriately CR'd creatures.

HighonHolyWater, your character wouldn't happen to be Russian, would he?

Seranov, Monkeygod is correct. I stated that all of the Legendary Games Mythic Paths are allowed because they are all just amazing.

Pathfinder Zoey, here are answers to all of your questions.
Teleport is a suitable spell, but it is less useful than in a normal campaign.
You may make your own language and, in fact, I rather like that idea. Initiative will be rolled by me at the start of combat and will remain static throughout the match unless certain buffs or debuffs alter a certain individual's Initiative, in which case I move them up or down the list as necessary. You may take Society traits.
Magus Fighter Training to qualify for Traits? You mean to qualify for Feats?
You can gain immortality for free by choosing Master of Eidolon. If you are not interested in choosing that, let me see if I can find any pre-existing instances of Immortality costing RP. If I can't find anything, I will probably rule 2 RP is how much Immortality would cost, presuming you mean full immortality with immunity to any effects pertaining to aging (Such as age penalties, the aging drain attacks of ghosts, ect).

Bigrig107, most templates are only strong enough to warrant one side of the gestalt. It would be a good idea to ask if you are unsure though.

Seranov, for humanoids and similar creatures that can be reasoned with, sure. For strange non-Euclidian monstrosities, fiends from the darker realms, chromatic dragons, undead spawned by the Shadow between worlds, and the apocalypse cultists of the Umbra, you might be better served putting them to the blade.

Barret, are those direct references?

Pathfinder Zoey, SpiderHawk is permissible. Gestalt is not cross-classing.

Gyrfalcon, templates are allowed. That Battle Imp creature looks pretty cool. Were you going to be the Battle Imp?

Bigrig107, yes they do.

Seranov, Half-Giants are allowed. And there's no need to ask about multiclassing, because it's allowed in the base rules anyway. As for power points, it joins into one large pool. Power Points are Power Points after all.

Leigion, all worlds have different tech levels. For the purposes of the campaign assuming that for every 5 magical worlds, there is 1 tech world. Not all tech is electricity based, however. Some is steam, some is aether, some is semi-magical in nature, ect.

Raphael, the rules for those things depend on your world. The majority of worlds have access to magic and technology is seen as something quaint and unreliable, given how powerful and consistent magic is. Finding tech for sale on the planar markets is rare, due to the lack of demand, but finding them on certain worlds are not a problem. Templates are allowed of course.

HighonHolyWater, I will not comment on that, because that is something that is to be discovered at a later time. I will say that multiple worlds have an Asmodeus or a Sarenrae. Is is the same one though?

Glad you approve, Reckless! I don't have Unchained yet, so I would have to check and see if it is already up on d20pfsrd. As for Path of War, it is allowed, including the playtest material from the upcoming Path of War expansion. That includes Riven Hourglass and similar styles, as well as the Unquiet Grave style from the Lords of the Night playtest.

Tenro, the Summoner class lol. The Umbra does not create, it only warps and destroys. It is possible to SHAPE the Umbra, but that is something easier done by a class feature. Although the Master of Invocation path can allow you to temporarily fashion such a being via spending Mythic Power.

NOTATION: I FORGOT TO CHANGE THE GP VALUES TO MATCH YOUR LEVEL! IT IS NOW 140,000 GP!

Interesting ideas thus far!

Gavmania, I am somewhat leery of Leadership, because a lot of people abuse that power and, especially at high levels, everyone having a cohort bogs down combat, which can kill a game fast. I will allow it with the presumption that you will not abuse it and form a peasant army to tag along on all adventures. If I see a lot of people taking it to gain a ton of help in combat, I will ban it, however.

Derz, I would prefer if people did not use pre-existing characters, though you may certainly use characters identical to them with minor changes. Just 'file off the serial numbers' on the character, so to speak. For example, change his name to Lord Ashriel and change a few Golden Compass references to something similar in flavor and bam! You've got Lord Asriel that doesn't break that fine line of believability. It's more to keep players from thinking 'oh this is the Super Smash Bros/Playstation All Stars of roleplaying' than to really restrict your options. Make sense?

Philo Pharynx, you are correct in assuming as much. More than full BAB, a higher Sorceror level than their CR would suggest, and a suite of abilities would call for such. Most dragons definitely take up both sides of the gestalt, since a great deal of them are practically already gestalt-powered. That said, your Sorceror levels will stack with your pre-existing levels from your race to determine your spell-casting and the numerical values of your class abilities, though not how early you get said class abilities.

Hotaru, your concept already sounds quite awesome, so don't think you're not up to the task! Having a Once Upon A Time-like writer whose works become reality is, in my opinion, VERY interesting. All you have to do is remember that you were not necessarily 13 gestalt/mythic 1 before reaching the Grand Staircase. You might have been nearly that powerful before opening that first Door or you might have been one of the weakest members of your people that just had that certain spark of greatness that the Grand Staircase seeks,, which it brought forth in the form of raw power within you.

In regards to the difference between Wrighting and Eidolon powers, Wrighting involves creating things either from scratch or from raw materials while Eidolon usually involves changing what is already there to something more suitable (One of Eidolon's powers anyway). The two overlap somewhat in terms of their fluff, but that is the whole purpose. Creation and maintenance are the purview of the Eidolon, whereas decay and dissolution are the purview of the Umbra. Masters of Wrighting sort of focus on the act of creation, whereas Masters of Eidolon tend to focus on the other aspects of it. Make sense?

As for your question about Wrighting, the basics are simple: you can Wright items into play as if you meet all the prerequisites of said items, such as feats, alignment, ect. Your more advanced abilities, of which there are several, include being able to Wright new worlds at a pace similar to Greater Create Demiplane, temporarily create items by using Mythic Power to fashion items out of your own essence, and much more. The more powerful abilities, of course, require you to expend Mythic Power to utilize them, but that is a small price to pay, right? Oh and did I mention that item crafting is now 1 minute per CL of the item you are creating? Creating constructs is a little more involved and instead takes 1 hour per CR of the creature you are creating. You are, of course, limited to only crafting constructs of your CR. By expending Mythic Power, you can also create low CR (Up to 1/3 your level, rounded down) creatures, which begin as tabula rasas, by spending 6 hours crafting their bodies and nascent souls from the power of your essence. This is more for story effect than for combat, so do not think about building an army of weaklings to follow you around everywhere, because I will be forced to deal with said situation in an appropriately GM-y way, such as making you face the Devourer of Worlds or some such nonsense. Just remember, as Endzeitgeist once said, the 'bag o' kittens' test and as long as you abide by that, you should be fine.

As for attuning to worlds, you are only attuned to ONE world, usually the first world that you enter after walking the Grand Staircase. If you are a Master of Wrighting, you may create as many worlds as you want, but you are always attuned to only one world. The process of changing said attunement is a long process and tailored to the individual and world involved.

Tenro, here are my answers to your questions. Dreamscarred Press classes are absolutely allowed. You can create items as soon as you gain the feats, meaning that if you intend to craft items, you MUST state when you gain said feats. From that level onwards, you can craft items for the base price. Make sense? Witchwyrd is absolutely permissable and requires only 6 levels from one side of the gestalt. You do know how to break down a creature's stats so you can allocate points differently than the base creature, right? Transforming Umbra into Eidolon, huh? Quite interesting!

Bigrig107, you build your abilities scores using my method, then add the bonuses as racial modifiers. That's one of the reasons I declared true dragons as taking up both sides of the gestalt up to their CR, because they're insanely powerful. If you want to use up all of your levels, you can most certainly become a Young Adult Umbral Dragon (I think I did the math right on that), with a Mythic Rank of course. As Hotaru stated, the Taninim race and Draconic Exemplar class are great if you don't want to sacrifice that many levels to be a full-powered dragon. The PDF is relatively cheap too.
