Sovereign Court

I'm preparing to run this in the new year and reading through the thread so far have cobble together a hybrid of everybody's ideas for my Campaign outline.

Book 1: Shards of Sin
Players learn the from the disgraced Pathfinder the 1st shard was found in the piling and there was more to explore
After defeating the Derro find receipt/documents of agreement of trading treasures (including 2nd shard) to Cultist on Rivenrake Island. Might make a passage in the darklands connecting them.

PFS S4-02 In Wraths Shadow
Defeat Cultists and reclaim 2nd shard
Find research regarding Lady's Light as possible sight for a shard
Orders signed by someone known as the Lashmistress

Dawn of the Scarlet Sun
Still thinking on how to work this in as a possible side mission.

PFS S4-00 Race for the Runecarved Key
Society think is a good lead as it is another Thassilon artifact and might be useful in reconstructing the Sihedron. Will be needed to reconstruct the sihedron as i'm removing the pedestal in the 1st book.
Ultimately stolen by the Lashmistress

Book 2: Curse of the Lady's Light
Cultist has Kaer Maga Guild Token as lead to the cult having activities in Kaer Maga. Either found on the body of the wizard that hired Gnaeus Gnaru or others that died fighting the Gray Maidens/defenses.
Gnaeus Gnaru was hired by a member of the Lissalan cult from Palin's Cove, notes found on corpse are plot point to Cultists Kiss

PFS S4-08 Cultist's Kiss
More breadcrumbs leading to Kaer Maga and trying to find the key

Book 3: The Asylum Stone
Tie in PFS 4-10 Feast of Sigils, PFS S4-12 The Refuge of Time, and Seven Swords of Sin as part of the adventure. Feast of Sigils would have more hints on RL Krune and location of the next shard in Windsong Abbey. The Refugee of time would have the locaion of tokens need to reach RL Krune. Seven Swords of Sin would have lore ties into Xin maybe and some foreshadowing Tempted to level up Godsmouth Heresy to include it too and maybe tie it into the Caulborn subplot.

Book 4: Beyond Doomsday Door
Might have survivors of the town that you can rescue and secure with the Priest to provide an area of safety.

PFS S4-20 Words of the Ancients
Retrieving Tokens and find info on Leng

Book 5: Into the Nightmare Rift
Not sure if i want to replace the Drow with cultists as i like the vampire NPC goals. Maybe they cut a deal with the cultist and are acting as a rear guard but are susceptible to negotiating as the cultist have been gone a while.

The Waking Rune
Time to kill or failing that evict a Runelord.

Book 6: Dead Heart of Xin
Haven't decided if Krune makes an escape in Waking Rune and steals the shards from PCs or VC and assembles it using the key OR if the PCs having defeated him reassemble the sihedron with the key themselves.

I'll be making edits in the plot/lore and probably removing some encounters to try and balance gold/loot for this monstrosity. Fortunately i use plot progression for leveling.

Is there any word as to when the second part is released? What's here already looks amazing, can't wait to play this as my next campaign. Having GM'd the original 1e AP, this is going to be interesting.

Only info we have so far is from the initial post

"The remaining content will release before the end of 2023 as a free update, and will include all remaining Kingmaker content at no additional expense."

Sovereign Court

You guys did an amazing job it looks even better than i had hoped.

How well does the module play with other systems on Foundry like PF1E or 5E. Would you be able to run the hex maps and journals on them or would you have to manually set it up with just the assets if that is possible?

Sovereign Court

I'd love to play as its one of the modules i haven't played or run. I've a few characters in tier in order of preference.
1) Mahakala, a Sarokosian Samasaran Druid Refugee (lvl 3) adventuring to raise capital to help fellow exiles & reclaim/rebuild Sarkoris.
2) Ug'Grick, a half-orc whose draconic heritage is starting to show and likes to bite things
3) Holdon, a joke based bard with a twisted sense of humor and little flag he waves. His goal in life is to make atleast one of everything laugh.

I think this is going to put pressure on Con organizers to get reporting done more quickly. People will want their rewards. But maybe that's good, I think there's room for some technological improvement there. A Con organizer could set up an online form for GMs to report tables immediately for example, rather than resort to paper sheets and people writing illegible numbers. This doesn't require a dedicated application, just a well-designed form.

More ambitious would be printing a QR code on convention badges that can be scanned and autofilled as PFS-# into such a form with a smartphone. Given that PFS-#s have become 7-digit long, that might be an idea.

While a great idea the problem with this is some of us don't own phones or venues won't have internet access, the sagamore in GenCon being a big one.

1) I like the new breakdown for XP, and the idea of individual quests being released, makes me wonder if we'll have less low tier scenarios because of it?

2) Infamy will be a nice way to track bad behavior and has ways of "buying out" if you do something and regret it. Will it be treated by individual rather than group, if there are options given to the party?

3) Modular faction support for PCs like starfinder is nice to see, as sometimes your character changes as they progress and you align with another faction, or alleviates not wanting to play a scenario because its faction aligned and you don't have on in tier. Hopefully there will be a digital tool to help us track this, please?

4) AcP is interesting as it will allow non-gms access to "traditionally" GM boons (races foremost) and open up GMs to getting boons outside usual one. The different point generation from playing, GM, Paizo-sponsored events provides incentive to GM/Con going as well.

5) Downtime is interesting.... not sure how the crafting is being handled so can't say too much yet, I'll have to see if its locked behind feat chains or other requirements, and how it balances vs non-crafting.

Is there anything preventing us from redeeming the voucher for a gift card for our own account? Or if this is not a possibility will it become one?

Male Elf Wizard (Diviner) / 5

Haan swivels the turret to get a better line on blue and fires away.

Turret Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 3 + 1 = 13
Turret Damage: 4d4 ⇒ (4, 3, 3, 4) = 14

Sovereign Court

Male Elf Wizard (Diviner) / 5

Haan looks at the lashunta confused, "You had Haan at BBQ.". He continues his voice with a slightly worried tone, "We still BBQ yes?"

Sovereign Court

Male Elf Wizard (Diviner) / 5

I'm fine with either kind of ship, as i'm not sure the mechanics involved in trying to be stealthy with a spaceship ;)

As for ship rolls Haan is a great pilot, a good gunner and a mediocre engineer.

For PFS 2.0 can we please have more racial equality for the villains rather than the majority of the humanoid villains being human? It has gotten better in the later seasons by humans are still proportionality a large villain base than any other humanoid race.

I'll echo the call for tier system akin to Starfinder, and having a modular evergreen to start, meeting the factions leaders or society leaders as mentioned above would be a great refresher/introduction to the living campaign. As for level gain the 3xp works well, 3 scenarios or 1 module/AP to gain a level.

In addition i would like to see scenario's broken down akin to Starfinder where they are Tier 1-2, 3-4, instead of the PFS Tier 1-5.

Sovereign Court 4/5 5/5

Based on how they are allowing us to continue playing 1st Edition scenario's my gut is saying yes, but i agree with Wei Ji the sooner we know the better.

My personal opinion for boons is i would like to see a clean break between 1st edition and 2nd edition, otherwise i feel it will be off putting to newer players.

Questions regarding 2nd edition boons:

1) Is the plan to utilize a slotting system like Starfinder?

What i'd like to see going forward:

Continuation of Race boons as a GM reward at convention and via RSP. I also like the idea of boon like the recent knowledge boon that lets you carry information between scenarios.

Changes i would personally like to see for Chronicles (much of it has been said above, but i'll state it again anyway)

1) Boons: As Dustin said above can we have a GM initial box beside boons, so we can mark what the player earned rather than having to cross out the entirety of the boon. No GM initials no boon. Are boons going to go the way of Starfinder where we will have to slot them?

2) Items: As many others above have said we need to change how items on chronicles sheets are dealt with. With the current system, outside of core, the majority of the items received on a chronicle can be ignore since they can just be purchase any time anyway, within Fame restrictions. Can we either have items available at earlier levels, akin to Starfinder, or can we have them at a discounted price, that way there is an incentive to actually use things from a chronicle. I'd also like to see an influx of more exciting and non-generic items beyond just scrolls/wands/etc with higher than minimum caster level, things that we could get outside the adventure.

3) Shopping In regards to shopping my personal opinion to fixing it would have a section on the new ITS (Item Tracking Sheet) marking which chronicle the item was bought on. That way you can eyeball the gold count on the chronicle and the list of when it was bought, hopefully saving more time, and keeping the Chronicles cleaner.

#2) Yes
#3) As long as they haven't played anything else on their -701 character

Finally filled out the form, i'll see you all in August :)

I believe most if not all the APs go beyond level 12, however you could chain modules together to make a story line? For example Crypt of the Everflame into Masks of the Living God into City of Golden Death. Those three modules are written to be sequels to each other. Other modules can be interlinked as wll but would take a little bit more work.

You could also play the multipart Modules like Dragon's Demand or Gallows of Madness.

Greetings and salutation Nekome :D As the two above me mentioned the discord is where most of our Organized Play is organized, be it Pathfinder or Starfinder. We mainly run on roll20 there, but any VTT will do, and use Discord for the voice chat.

If you have any specific questions feel free to ask me either here on the forums either publicly or via PM, or on the discord channel.

We also have a convention coming up at the end of January that is purely played on Roll20 if your interested i'll link its warhorn, the site we use to do signups, below:

I do not believe so as it is not listed in the additional resources page for what is allowed from Healer's handbook.

Sovereign Court 4/5 5/5

Assuming you mean The Commencement and Into the Unknown, yes those are the only current scenario's that are replayable. A new set of evergreen quests is coming out later and the first Book of the Adventure Path is also replayable.
