There seems to be a problem with the PDF of AP#34: We're No Heroes. All of the maps are unselectable as a single object. Each one is split into multiple segments, making it impossible to cut and paste them into Roll20 or other VTT.

Also, all the text in the book is saved as an image. The text is therefore not selectable, copy-able, paste-able in text editors, such as the Paizo bulletin boards (where I play Play by Post campaigns).

As is, it is simply unusable online/VTT/Play by Post. Was going to write a review, but I realize this MUST be an error.

Can you send me a PDF that is fixed?

Ladies & Gentlemen:

Welcome to Roderic's Cove, the starting point for the Return of the Runelords Adventure Path. After years of playing PFS online, I've decided it would be nice to start from scratch, create a 1st level character, join a team, and watch all the PCs grow from barely fleshed out concepts to fully formed people with goals and objectives, friends and family, wants and desires.

ROLEPLAY VS. ROLLPLAY
This Adventure Path is perfect for roleplay-intensive gaming. Per the Player's Guide, all characters must start out knowing each other, all in Roderic's Cove, and all have a reason to protect Roderic's Cove and the region of Varisia from the threat of the returning Thassilonian Runelords. This will be about Character Development rather than min/max power-gaming. I encourage you to download and read the FREE Player's Guide to Return of the Runelords. It will guide you in creating a character.

CAMPAIGN MODE FOR PFS
Paizo has not yet sanctioned this AP for PFS credit, but they're working on it. By the time we're done with this first chapter, I hope they will have developed Chronicle Sheets so we can all gain credit for use in Pathfinder Society Play.

LONG-FORM ROLEPLAY
Am I starting this because I'm locked in my house in Los Angeles with my wife, three teenage boys, a dog and a cat? Well, a little bit. But I've been wanting to play in an AP for a long time and I find PFS scenarios are too short, with little continuity or character development. GM Engleaktigs's ongoing games have provided some continuity. I've played with the same small, rotating band of heroes repeatedly. But this will be about characters and character development. It will be about long-form roleplay. This will be longer.

BUCKLE UP. THIS IS GOING TO TAKE A WHILE
Yes. Longer. A full AP can take three, four, FIVE years to complete. I'm in this for the long haul. YOU SHOULD BE TOO. But I recognize that burnout happens. So... I propose that players be GMs also. I'll GM the first chapter, but I'd like another player to step up and GM the second chapter so I can rest and join the party as a PC myself. If possible, we can swap in a different GM for each chapter. This is why I've labeled this game "Secrets of Roderic's Cove" rather than "Return of the Runelords."

MY COMMITMENT
I'm currently in four games and I'm wrapping up one of them next weekend. Because this AP (hell, this CHAPTER) will take a long time, I commit that I will not take more than four games online at a time. While I'm the GM, this game will be my focus.

So, who is in? Right now, I've got interest from six players. Please respond and confirm that you're "in." Follow that up with a post describing character ideas. Keep in mind that the Player's Guide has specific campaign traits from which you'll need to choose.

I’ve noticed that the Core Rulebook doesn’t list the Eldest. No worries. No doubt that’s in the works for a future book. BUT, the PFS2 Guide only allows deities listed in the Core Rulebook, starting page 437. And the list of Domains is pretty thin, compared to previously. I could kitbash a Cleric of The Lantern King, but out of his four domains, only the Trickery domain is in the Core Rulebook. Can Allowed Character Options include deities from previous PFS1 allowed content?

I've been waiting and waiting to build a genie summoner. But... Just read that the Summon Genie spells from Legacy of Pharaohs are not legal for play in PFS.

Why not?

Is the court bard performance Satire ability a fear-inducing effect? I've got a paladin PC who is claiming that he is immune to a court bard's satire effect, due to his blanket immunity to fear. My belief is it is NOT a fear effect, and thus the paladin is NOT immune to it.

Here's the PRD on the Satire ability:

Satire (Su): A court bard can use performance to undermine the confidence of enemies who hear it, causing them to take a –1 penalty on attack and damage rolls (minimum 1) and a –1 penalty on saves against fear and charm effects as long as the bard continues performing. This penalty increases by –1 at 5th level and every six levels thereafter. Satire is a language-dependent, mind-affecting ability that uses audible components. This performance replaces inspire courage.

Note that nowhere does it say it is a fear effect.

Other fear inducing abilities generally list that point clearly (e.g. "XX is a language dependent, mind-affecting fear effect."). For instance, the bardic Dirge of Doom ability:

Dirge of Doom (Su): [...snip...] Dirge of doom is a mind-affecting fear effect, and it relies on audible and visual components.

Also in question, to support this claim of immunity, is whether Satire, by replacing Inspire Courage, is the opposite of Inspire Courage.

And just the basic smell test: A paladin is immune to a lack of confidence? A paladin is immune to satire? Will we take it all the way and make paladins immune to biting sarcasm? Really?

Also, note how I included in his "Class/Levels" field all the relevant information needed for quick play and review by me (or by you, really). Class/Levels is what shows up in grey below his name e.g. Male Human (Varisian) Fighter 1 (HP11/11; AC15 / T13 / FF12; F+3, R+3, W+0; perception +0).

Hello, Customer Service!

Somehow I combined my Map Folio order with my Gazetteer order. Not sure how it happened (user error no doubt), but I'd really like to have my Map Folio shipped this month with my CotCT Players Guide or with my Pathfinder subscription (i.e. Pathfinder #7). Or even with the Guide to Korvosa.

Is it possible to uncombine order #822878?

Is it possible to separate a two-product order for shipping? I've accidentally linked the Map Folio and the Gazetteer together for shipment. Clearly, I'd prefer to have the Map Folio and other March product shipped together, such as the Crimson Throne Players Guide, or Pathfinder #7 or the the Guide to Korvosa.

I was in France last week and noticed Dragon #333 being sold in game shops. This is especially irksome SINCE I HAVEN'T RECEIVED MINE YET!

Danish subscribers have theirs (or so this messageboard says), but I don't have mine. I'm only a few states away. How can it take this long?

Why can Paizo get an issue to retailers across the Atlantic, but not to me, a long-time subscriber, here in the United States of Amerca?

And since I haven't heard back from Paizo customer service, I'll put my request here, as well:

PLEASE FEDEX (at Paizo's expense) my Dragon #333 to me at my listed account address. Email me the tracking number so I can confirm it has been shipped. It is nearly three weeks overdue. I'd like to receive it tomorrow, or Thursday, June 23rd at the latest. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.
