" Hasmir, could you perhaps inspire our young companion before she begins to stab things in frustration?" Dryden says with a soft chuckle.
male Human Cleric 2
"Do we want to go around into the big room, or check out the door over here?" Dryden gestures to the door on the east side of the stage.
male Human Cleric 2
Dryden looks less suspicious of the ghost.
"Lady, do you mean to say that you have been here since the fire and your husband too? Also, what dark-robed men do you speak of?"
male Human Cleric 2
Dryden looks at the ghost with suspicion, but will try to see what develops.
"Yes, Hold. This is most unusual. Most undead have a hatred of living and attack. This spirit does not seem to have it.'
Galahad is traveling to Oregon right now he will be back on tonight.
male Human Cleric 2
"Gather round then.." Dryden says. He then channels.

"Ah, I see Pharasma continues to favor me this day."

"The holy water worked on the slamming doors because that is a simple, harmless haunt. This one is more dangerous; I do not think the holy water would have much effect. And yes, this one will happen again, I just do not know how long until it re sets."
male Human Cleric 2
"Hasmir, friend, how are you? Do you require healing?" Dryden looks at Hasmir's wounds with concern.

I don't think I can even damage these, but at least I can increase my AC and CMD :)
Dryden defends himself against the manacles attacking him.

Dryden moves into the room and attacks the first spider he sees.
Attack vs S5 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Dryden's ill-timed swing completely misses the spider and narrowly misses Arigoder. Dryden's usual frown deepens.
male Human Cleric 2
Just so everyone knows, Galahad is having some difficulties (nothing serious or bad, just hectic) IRL. He will probably be back on tomorrow. Talked to him on the phone earlier.
male Human Cleric 2
"A thorough cleaning would suffice, I think. However, it would be worth some time to make sure the place has not been vandalized and to check for any abandoned property of the church. Hmmm... I wonder if the place needs to be reconsecrated? If not, then this spot is probably safe from any of the restless spirits that are plagueing this prison."

"A chapel for Pharasma it appears..."
male Human Cleric 2
" I am sure that those in power would prefer we use these items as necessary to destroy the growing evil here and survive than have us die and fail in the task. Arguing over the matter just helps the Whispering Way succeed in their endeavor." Dryden tells his companions sternly.

Knowledge religion? 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
male Human Cleric 2
"Yes, that is probably it. Also, remember the professor was worried about the Whispering Way. They are very much into undeath."
Dryden adds.
"I think we should definitely check out the prison this afternoon."
male Human Cleric 2
"This seems to be a ritual of some sort. The unwashable stain is obviously supernatural. I would hazard to guess that whoever is spelling this out is spelling a name as that would be a way of destroying a ghost or similar apparition. The real question is why?" Dryden examines the statue closely.
"You see that the blood spatters clean off normally, it is only the two letters that defy our attempts to remove. Yes, I am quite certain this is a name. I fear to find what will happen if the ritual is completed. I too agree with Kayela. We should mount a watch, however, we moght wish to get rest tonight if we are planning on exploring the prison tomorrow."

Back from the depths of the wilderness :) Awesome vacation! Sorry to see I missed a fight though. Will have level done tomorrow.

"This afront to Pharasma's rest will be dealt with Father!" Dryden assures the town's priest.
"We could use whatever aid you can give us in our search for records on these five notorious prisoners at Harrowstone."
male Human Cleric 2
"I am grateful that the Lady's hatred of the undead favored me with such strong energy." Dryden responds.
"I also believe it best to let Father Grimburrow know of this. If you like I will tell him in the morning."

Seeing Arigoder take a bad hit, Dryden channels again.....

I think we are just getting some of the mechanics done. PBP socializing kind of ignores actual timeline, so we can still do it until the GM starts a new scene.

" Perhaps the spirit planchette is not such a bad idea. We could learn something from it, but we must choose our question thoughtfully as we will only get one." Dryden pauses to think for a moment. "I feel the unnatural taint of undeath about these disturbances. I also think we should bring these drawings to Father Grimburrow at the Temple in the morning. He would probably know more about such things."
male Human Cleric 2
I am for that. I definitely would like to know more about potential threats. Also, did we determine anything about what the V is for on the monument?
male Human Cleric 2
He gave the rules for research in the discussion (I think on 1st page). We get one roll per character per day. We don't really know the bonuses for each place, but we know there is the Town Hall, the Temple and some place called the Unfurled Scroll (magic shop I believe). Researching is an all day affair, I think.
Edit: the info is on 2nd page of discussion, not 1st.

"There is the foulness of necromancy about this desecration." Dryden looks around. "Perhaps we should move along. The crowd seems to be suspicious and we are strangers here after all."

Dryden will be in B5.
male Human Cleric 2
Dryden waits for everyone to enter then shuts the door before casting light so that no one is alerted to their presence from outside.
male Human Cleric 2
"I doubt there will be a nightwatchman. Places like this have little to no fear of graverobbers. Also, this idea of a "false" crypt is fairly common in places like this, so I do not believe we will be defiling any of the dead."
male Human Cleric 2
"Perhaps we should visit this false crypt tonight? If we find anything, we can then let the Temple know if necessary."
male Human Cleric 2
"There is a lot of information here on the Whispering Way, but maybe I should check the Temple's records and pay my respects to the head priest. I could also ask them about this false crypt. Maybe some others could go to the Town Hall tomorrow to check the records on the prison." Dryden suggests as they talk at the table
male Human Cleric 2
btw, what were the other books in the chest?
male Human Cleric 2
"Excellent idea, I will look through these tomes for more information. Maybe some of you can visit the sheriff and get more details about Petros's death."

The whispering way? Hmm, I may have heard of them.....
Anything with a 16?
male Human Cleric 2
"It appears that Petros has need of our services. I, for one, willingly accept this task. I have some familiarity with the types of tomes he refers to and agree completely that they should be in a safe place."
Turning to Lady Kendra, "I also agree to help you with whatever you need to get through this time of mourning."
male Human Cleric 2
Dryden walks up to the group. His dark mien is matched by his dark clothing that is only graced with a silver symbol of Pharasma.
"My condolences, miss Kendra. I will miss Petros. This custom you spoke of must be a local one as I have not heard of it. However, perhaps it is best if I do not carry the coffin to respect the custom."
He then moves to the back of the group to remain as unobtrusive as possible.
male Human Cleric 2
Checking in.... finally a CC game
male Human Cleric 2
Unsure of the tradition that the lady mentioned, Dryden will follow the group silently so he does not inadvertently transgress any local custom.
male Human Cleric 2
A stern looking Ustalavian man steps from the carriage. His dark robes only seem to add to the somberness of the situation. Scowling slightly, he says,"Death is a natural process on the path of existance. Though I shall miss Professor Lorrimar's presence, we should all realize that this is only a part of his journey and he is now in Pharasma's realm."

Thanks for having me guys :)
