The winter portal has closed, but the heroes now find themselves trapped in the frozen land of Irrisen with an urgent quest—to find Baba Yaga! In order to track down the missing Queen of Witches, the heroes must brave the monster-infested capital city of Whitethrone, where Baba Yaga’s Dancing Hut has been captured and put on display. Will possession of the miraculous artifact lead them to the Witch Queen, or will they die a cold death at the hands of Irrisen’s White Witches?

yeah he just posted his action first, you guys all go before he goes again, so you can sort it, just by doing what you did and saying " i'll take my shot before they close in to melee ". even if gondork posts first in the round, you'll take your shot first.

the big picture

a sling bullet comes flying in from the back, thunking Izoze on the head and distracting her as the assault continues.

oof! what a shot from arwyn! 15 slashing damage from one crit.

the wicked slice cuts deep in her side, but heals quickly from the non-magical attack immediately, ice forming over the wound, izoze seems deeply injured though, almost staggered one might say.

caladan steps up to try and steal the kill, wielding his morningstar two handed in his night-shift chain shirt and sans shield, but weak as she is, izoze shrugs off his attack

ten-penny double moves again, and will catch up next round

a few seconds later, izoze seems to have recovered fractionally, her eyes clearing a bit. yet continuing to fight in mortal peril. she steps to the side and focuses her attacks on the ill-armored caladan, but still seems to be shaking too much to hit. a frantic look in her eyes, as she seems to know her attacks are futile, but has no choice.

Wait, I just realised, if the ammunition is magic, does it also get a +1 to hit, or is that just on the weapon firing it? If it's the first, add 1 to the to-hit, didn't calculate that just yet.

"Guys, try to injure it and then move back. Those claws don't look like they'll hurt all that much, and I can punch through its regeneration, it seems."

So, for timing, I'd like to see Caladan and Arwyn go before me, then me, and then Gondork.

it adds a +1 to hit for you, since your sling isn't magical or mwk. timingwise noted. that shot looks like it'll bring her back to staggered. if someone can bring her down, another can coupe de gace her.

Hmm, if this keeps up, I might need to invest in Point-Blank Shot and Precise Shot. I won't do amazing damage, but I can see its uses.

who needs the heal?
gondork and caladan both could use some healing.
caladan offers it to gondork first if he wants it.

moving back to the campsite, you skin the elemental and cook it, like marshmallows over the campfire, staying up for a bit, before settling down into watches again. once or twice in the night you think you hear the chittering sounds of the giant weasel in the distance, but you don't see it again. Dawn comes, and most of you are rested if a little tired.

Izoze didn't have anything of value on her.

After the mephit shatters, Gondorks falls spread eagle backwards into the snow, panting heavily.

After a short while he wipes his hand over his face and gets up, wearily massaging his shoulders.

That's enough enemies for me today. I don't want that giant weasel sneaking up on us as well...


the big picture

with an otherwise restful night, you recover 2 hp each naturally. gondork has his yeti cloak, giacomo is safeguarding arwyn with endure elements again? and ten-penny's scroll runs out about noon.

Arwyn and possibly others familiar with the geography, expect that its about two hours to the center of the valley where the portal is expected to be, so you should reach it by 10 am. its the big day. crunch time.

Not to poop in your cornflakes, but Caladan is out of spells, he can't cast that last Cure. >_> Three spells at level 2 (2 standard, 1 from high WIS), and he already cured twice and did a Command. >_> Unless he casts one again the next day.

How much HP is everyone missing? I'll Channel once when we wake up again and see how much more we're missing. Caladan was pretty injured, and I see Gondork's also missing some.

Giacomo sits in the early hours of the morning, a few hours before sunrise, chewing on some air elemental marshmallows by the waning fire, warming his hands, when he hears a giggle of laughter, and a young girl's voice say, "would you like to play a game?"

He turns to look, and sees a tiny child's doll sitting next to him on the log, pale golden hair tied in pigtails to the side, and a small blue scarf tied over her head. one eye eerily sad and blue, the other a silver orb where her iris would be.

She then plunges a dagger into giacomo's side, its tiny, and you barely feel the force of its pinprick, when a sudden rush of cold floods your side and begins to paralyze you, when you're able to shake it off, you don't even realize what that sound is, until suddenly you realize its you screaming.

I concur.

Giacomo yells and falls back over the log he's sitting on, his legs sticking out of the snow. The yells continue, albeing slightly muffled by the snow.
I know I've used it, but it's still appropriate.

If I take less than 1 damage, I think it's converted to nonlethal. I'll mark it as nonlethal and cure it later.

the doll begins to float up limply, as if being pulled up by an invisible string in its chest, its arms limply at its sides, the warped wooden face of a small child limply gazing upside down, the doll sized knife still stuck in its hand.

it stops floating about 20 ft. up, up below the boughs of a tree, opens up its chucky-like fist and a cascade of mystic snowflakes falls down on Arwyn and Giacomo, they feel a chilling frost settle "Simon says, Freeze!" *
a supernatural frost glitters like a permeable bubble of cold, it persists, snowing inside more and stronger than outside, like giacomo and arwyn are almost in a little snowglobe.

arwyn takes 3 cold, giacomo takes 5 cold damage and is staggered

Felt like I hadn't roleplayed enough in a while. I assume there aren't any negative effects to my flavour (say, digging my way out as a move action while I'm staggered)?

Giacomo puts himself upright again and immediately shoots his bow at it, still yelling his lungs out.

no flavor penalty, but you're staggered from the frost fall effect, so you can just manage to get up, you can save the shot for round 2 if you like?

the doll's grotesque vissage doesn't change, its impossible to read eyes, one silver, one sad little girl's eye don't move. but you could almost swear you saw an image of the blonde girl in curls rip itself away enough for her head and shoulders to emerge from the doll, before being torn back into it. "help me!"

Growling with irritation, Arwyn considered climbing the tree or just vertical leaping to attack it, but finally just turned and went back to her pack. There she pulled out her gift shortbow and strung it.

Gondork flings a javelin without saying a word, but his eyes betray despair as he grinds his teeth at yet another unexpected menace.

Why on Golarion did I ever say yes to venturing this deep into enemy lands? I can't even take a nap without getting viciously attacked!
