Too bad Judges don't have that choice to do that... No? As a convention judge I've certainly said "Marshaller guy, give me table 12, they're a fun crowd" or "Send me somewhere that isn't table 8, that group will have more fun with a judge that isn't me."
But it's possible that I'm an a#+#&&! and other people wouldn't think of doing that. You can always try that, but it isn't a guaranteed thing. That's one reason I am seriously considering quitting all together.

Sent my app. in yesterday. Let's see if I have any b-day luck getting picked! :P

;-) THAT, sir, is some funny stuff! I'll have to remember that! Maybe they should be called the "McEagle" now?! (just joking)
You know since Jason is gonna come down for Comic Con, we're gonna have to make a road trip to Columbia sometime. (Heh. Look at my no driving self suggesting this.)
So sad. We are having a Pathfinder Society gathering at the store this weekend and I'll make sure to pass a card around. Thanks for letting us know Marc.
Warhorn will be up and running soon. I promise. Really. I swear.
"Perils of the Pirate Pact"
While in the hold of a certain ship, the silly, silly bard turns to my somewhat psychotic, pyromaniac alchemist and says, "Bet you can't blow this ship up." *clears throat* "ahem."

Zombiesque edited by Stephen L. Antczak, James C. Bassett, and Martin H. Greenberg.
Bravo guys, but like Shane Hensley of Deadlands fame once said if you stat it then they (the PC's) can kill it. *laughs*
Yeah, thanks yellowdingo. I'm a HUGE steampunk fan! I appreciate the link.
Warhorn site will be up very shortly.

I think we can handle that with no problem! *chuckle*
jason roeder wrote: Ayup! Unless something weird happens at work, I plan to attend! I'm very much looking forward to it! That's cool Jason! We look forward to seeing you.
This is a fantastic idea! I've already made sure that all of our local PFS players know about this. Thanks guys!

A 'weird science' book. Constructs, magic/steam/contruct cybernetics/whatever, weird science, ray guns, everything in one neat little package. Easy to use, easy to leave out.
Psionics would be nice too -- this could be part of the weird science book without hurting my feelings.
Advanced Player's Races would be exceptionally nice. Not needing a bunch of new mechanics but something with both crunch and fluff for all the 'standard'(ish) races available.
The monsters as player character books. With multiple bestiaries out I think it would be time for a book like this.
A "themes" book -- normally I'm not too keen on these but if it covered in specific detail ways to do magic'punk, steam'punk, low magic, savage, mystery/dramas, and epic heroic campaigns that would be awesome. I don't think this would need as much crunch, more ideas of how to present things, build the story arch, include PCs and their hooks, and perhaps just as importantly when to let the campaign go -- that would be awesome.
A 'stronghold' book would be really nice too.
Oh yeah! Love the idea of the "Themes" book as well as the "weird science" book! Would love to see that. I loves me some Steampunk!
A book on the Dark Tapestry. I suppose this could be done in a more detailed Planes book.
Yeah, you want to read them in order. It is funny but I swear that I saw somewhere (and I think it was on a Dresden Forum) that they suggest some people start with book 4 "Summer Knight". (Must be all of the action). "Fool Moon" is in my opinion the weakest of the books, but I won't go into my Alpha hate here. (Don't hurt me...) But you really need to read it because it does *gack* introduce *gag* some major characters.
And did you guys hear that Ghost Story has been delayed until July? It seems that Jim just wasn't happy with it. *whines* I don't wanna wait that long!
It has to be Red Fury. My little teenage Russian superhero for the Champions game, later translated to the Marvel Superheroes game. God he was so fun to play. The boy had power, but he was so naive and...well bumbling that sometimes he added to the chaos of a bad situation. Just imagine a lisping Russian accent and there you have it. Damn I miss playing him.
Why do I hate Gnomes? One word: Nackels! They are the bane of my existence as a GM. *Cue flashback music* It was several years ago in the old Living Greyhawk games. One friend mentioned that maybe it would be cool to have an all Gnome table, which led to "Hey, how about we all be related." And so the Nackels were born. Rowdy, disruptive, annoying little buggers. Thankfully I'm not the only GM to have to suffer them.
Let's see...
I don't like Tolkien.
Don't care for Star Trek, Star Wars, FireFly or any sci-fi.
Can't stand computer games or really computers and tech in general.
Rare is the mood for me to read Fantasy fiction. (although I love Modern Fantasy. Loooooooove me some Dresden Files! The books not that abomination of a TV series!)
My very first game character was Phobos, a cleric created for the old "Red Box" game of D&D that I got for my birthday back in 1982. Wow when I think back to those days I just want to run and hide.
I never was in great shape. As a kid I was a scrawny, sickly thing. Then gaming came to me in my teenage years and I started to balloon up. At my heaviest I was something like 320-ish. Then in 2010 i passed smooth out in the game store and was rushed to the ER. Blood sugar was over 400 and I got the big Diabetes diagnosis. 2010 also led to two minor heart attacks as well as being hospitalized in December for over a week due to high blood pressure and having a mini stroke. But... Since the big D diagnosis in April, I have tried to change my eating habits. I'm no saint with it and slip every now and then, but when I was admitted in December I had lost over 50 pounds since April.
I'm actually hoping to be able to throw my hat in as judge as well. For some odd reason when it comes to cons I would much rather GM than play. Call me weird...
Hopefully I'll be accepted as Tier 1. I judge around that many slots during our local cons so I'm used to it. (And I think Tier 1 is the only way that I'll get to go.)

Where do you guys play? Keep me in the loop, and I will see if I can get over there to roll some bones with y'all!
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I don't have regular internet access...
We play at Championship Games in Cape Girardeau.
And sadly on the 6th I'll be with Luke in Carbondale, IL helping GM over there to hopefully get a player base there. I know they're hungry for PFS. We had seven players drive over from C-dale to Cape last Saturday to play.
Hopefully we can all get together at some point.
There is quite a following of Pathfinder down SE Missouri way as well. (mostly the Cape Girardeau area). We just finished up with our little con Brewfest over the weekend. I wish I had known of this post and I would have pimped the con. Oh well...
And much like Doug said... I also want to help out our local FLGS and the society around it. I enjoyed it and gaming up until recently and a bad experience (okay...several things rolled into one) at a local con over the weekend made me decide to retire from ALL gaming. My retirement lasted for less than a day. After receiving word that our local head honcho PFS GM was quitting, I can't retire now because that would leave only a smattering of GM's to keep PFS alive. (I'm only hoping that our head honcho takes a break. The guy needs a breather)
Arnim isn't kidding when he said he is the builder of the local PFS base here. I thought the way it is was the correct interpretation, but he is more active in the forums and what not than I am, so I didn't challenge his understanding of it.
Only getting credit for a scenario once doesn't bother me at all as I'm not that active a player... No...that's not the way to put it... I mean I don't care if I play or GM. That's a better phrasing.
Way to make me not retire from gaming Arnim. *joking tone*
Wow! The fact that Doug Doug knows of our con fills me with pride! Any chance of you making it this way Doug Doug?
And yes, they still bring food and drink to your table! Well...depending on just how busy they are at the time.
Turned 41 in april of this year. I started gaming in 1982 when I received the red, blue and Chainmail boxsets for my birthday.
Right now our games are a Golarian "Runelords" game, and a homebrew set in the extra-dimensional space of a demon's gullet. I keep getting asked to relaunch my Eberron game, which I'll probably do at some point.
I could not agree more. When I saw the changes, I wept bitter tears! Yes, I admit that the class WAS overpowered, but the nerfing that the Summoner is getting. Yuck!
Hope I'm not too late. I had to make sure all my ducks were lined up before I could commit to anything, but it looks like GM's are still needed.
Hello everybody,
I would like to take this time to extend an invitation to anybody who is in the area, nearby, or looking for an excuse for a road trip. We will be having several PFS games as well as other gaming related events. Not to mention many comic dealers and guests.
Here is the Warhorn address:
http://warhorn.net/capecomiccon2010/
Hope to see y'all there!
I was really bummed out because I'm missing a con this weekend, but I just heard that the Kingmaker Player's Guide is out. It made my day. Now if I can just get the stupid printer to work (not to mention coaxing it to work so I can print out the PFS mod I'm running tomorrow at the game store...)
A most excellent design!
Just when I thought I could be more impressed with you guys, you do something like this! You rock!
Very, very nice! I'm really enjoying what I'm seeig so far! Methinks my new character will be a summoner! Thanks Paizo! You guys really made my day!
