Greadra takes lead, knowing she had rhe best chance to survive if any more traps lay in wait. She grows claws and growls as she advances to the door, Readying herself to attack as soon as it opened. Ready I an attack for when the door opens

Sovereign Court

Okay, I'm gonna begin this with a disclaimer:
I am not exactly known for keeping to my games, often times I get overloaded or life gets in my way. This does not mean I don't care for my games, infact I very much love doing this, even if it doesn't last long.
And in the hope that fun may be had despite that, I have some ideas.

I'm making this thread in order to toss some ideas out there, trying to find some interest out there as well as Garner some interest myself.

Idea 1: An Elder scrolls game! This idea has bounced around in my head for a while, now the most obvious issues would be coverting this to the Pathfinder system, or finding an easy to learn system to use it in. I obviously want to keep this in Pathfinder, as it helps greatly to keep things familiar. However I'll likely use the spheres of power system for magic, as it mist closely resembles the schools tamriel uses.
The settings will actually be during the oblivion crisis, as it not on is the time I'm most familiar with, but it's before s#+* got complcated with the nations.

Idea 2: honestly I'd just like tk do Mummy's mask, The AP is one I haven't DM'ed and one i very much like the idea for.

Idea 3: A starfinder game. With this one the system is newer, and I can't seem to wrap myself around ship combat, but the idea behind this one would be something Homebrew, as I don't have access to any modules yet..

Idea 4: Something evoking Classic Horror. Vampires, werewolves, Juju zombies, you know something like that ;P

Idea 5: Midevil Zombie Apocalypse. This one is interesting, a game based entirely around killing zombies. Obviously classes that are better against undead would make this game pretty well, but I want to do something where it isn't a magical undead, and the normally effective powers of cleric are not working as they should against the unliving swarm.

And those are my ideas, obviously I have bias twards the Elder scrolls one, and i have put a TON of thought into it. Bur I'd like to see first which of these have the most intrest.

If I do garner some interest, I'll do my very best to keep on track. I'm Limiting myself this time, and not taking on too many games at once. My life right now shouldn't spontaneously explode, so I should last at minimum a month or two ;P

TEST TEST! sorry for my sudden disappearance, but life hit me hard. I lost internet, had to pick up shop and move, and generally speaking it wasn't good. I'm sorry for being unable to let you all know of my situation, but I'm gonna try to get back I this game. Let me know if you'd like to continue this game or if my absence has unfortunately put a damper on this game.

Sovereign Court

Well, he may be old, but this is definitely the man who tortured you as a youth. Although if you really were not sure only a spell could make sure of it.

It's seems Gaedren dropped his firearm into the water, otherwise he possesses a keychain, likely to all the doors in the building... Or at least the ones you haven't blown open.

In addition to that, Gaedren is wearing some magical armor, the leather relatively unharmed despite being shot at. Sure it's soaked with blood and water, but at least it's Worth something.

Also worth noting is a potion at his waist. Likely a healing potion Geadren hadn't had time to use.

Sovereign Court

game master

Yes, he had very low con, due to the penalties applied for being his age

Sovereign Court

game master

They killed her only lead, unfortunately
Lamm was at 0 when he jumped in, and seeing that it's only standard actions that cause you to bleed out, he made a move to get away. unfortunately he was then shot.
The last round spent underwater would have killed him.

Luckily there is still lamm's documents in his office.

Sovereign Court

game master

Although your attempts to make sure Gaedren lives are quite skilled, When Urthal pulls him out of the water it is clear as day that the life has left his cold eyes.

The air is filled with a strange calm, but somehow you feel like even if the criminal is dead something isn't quite right..

You hear a break from the dock behind you, and those of you who look can see the children sneaking off, heading into the dark of the streets.

Sorry for the Delay, Life and such

Sovereign Court

game master

As Gaedren is shot in the water he begins to flail in his last attempts to remain conscious before sinking below the murky water...

If he's still alive, won't be for too long before the criminal mastermind drowns.
If not, then now is the day that Gaedren Lamm has payed for his crimes. May his soul rot in the deepest pits of the abyss.

Despite the commotion and gunfire, no-one seems to have payed your escapades any mind.

Sovereign Court

game master

Well, unfortunately even after you finish Gaedren off, you haven't finished exploring the Fishery, and finding all of the gangster's plans out.

Might also find clues as to the whereabouts of your missing kids.

Sovereign Court

game master

Yes, Tache received a +2 on all rolls that are Dex based, including attacks, for this combat.
Gaedren takes a hit in the arm, he curses, the other approaching him Although a double move would get you on the boat, it also puts you right next to Lamm, and unfortunately he's blocking the way to the boat. This dock is only 5ft wide so Arratu manages to get his manuver off, and Urthal is blocked by Gaedren.

Gaedren is slamed as the strange man Arratu blasts past him, blocking the way.
Gaedren curses, looking around.
He quickly realized he was both outnumbered, and outgunned. It wasn't gonna be a good idea to try and fight either of the men blocking his way, and soon he'd just be shot.
In one last attempt to get away, Gaedren dives into the water off the dock Geadren provokes AOO from Arratu and Urthal, likely ending the fight.

Sovereign Court

game master

As each of you burst I to the room, Gaedren had strategically thrown his hostage just right to have anyone charging through the door trip over them.
some saves: 1d20 ⇒ 10
some saves: 1d20 ⇒ 1
some saves: 1d20 ⇒ 19
some saves: 1d20 ⇒ 11 Sebastian trips over the little girl and faceplants, most of the others able to easily step over her, however each of you is slowed down. Sebastian is now prone, the rest of you only move 25ft(except Tasche who moves 55ft.)

The room is wide, and open in the middle with the deck dropping off into the beach below, where low tide has exposed the black sand.

Gaedren had slipped through a door to left, Veronica goes to the girl and checks if she is alright, finding the child unwounded, although brused a little.
It appears Lamm was bluffing, as the girl is the only child in this room. The door to the left leads outside, where you can see the docks leading to the fishing boat at the end. Gaedren fires a shot at Tesche, who had manages to come out onto the docks,
Ranged touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
The magus successfully dodges, able to step out of the path of the bullet just in time.

Sovereign Court

Thanks for that Shadow,

But honestly I'm in quite a few games that I'd like to keep running and am desperately trying to keep running, so if I do something for this it will likely be a small group with light posting requirements. Infact I might do something like a 1-3 Group. Focusing on the interaction of them with each other and the world around them.

Another thing, if I do do a game like this it will likely be based in either Gallorian or Ravenloft, depending on how I feel as well as to the interest of folks who want to do this. Another thing I could actually start the game off in gallorian and move it to ravenloft, because that's how it works. A dark lord pulling the party into ravenloft with him by accident, as they're granted his/her realm.

I think that might be interesting...

Sovereign Court

game master

Hostage negotiation is going well...

Also, if you don't mind, I'm not quite going to introduce your missing children just quite yet.
It's something nice but overall it's distracting from the primary plot.

But I may introduce them in somewhere between one of the books, if it's possible.

Sovereign Court

game master

Gaedren remains silent, a moment passes before you hear something. Something hits the floor near the door, and a door can be heard opening, it's creaking hindges squealing in protest from being opened to forceably. Gaedren is running!
Initiative is the party (Doesn't matter the order as long as your first), then Gaedren. However any attacks at the moment against him have full consealment.

Sovereign Court

Yes, although I know that the shape changing ability of lycans isn't polymorph. It's a supernatural ability meaning that technically it isn't a spell, allowing them to persist in Anti-magic fields and preventing dispels. This also means that one can't simply change them back to humans with spells that do so.

Infact, I don't even believe reveal true form would work on them, after all once the curse has altered them who is the real one in charge, the wolf or the man?

Lycanthropy is a strange topic when it comes to that, but they are considered shapechanger and gain all the benefits from that...

Sovereign Court

game master

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Gaedren laughs, You think just because I'm old that I'm senile? Your dumber than you sound, that's for sure... Gaedren can be heard moving, and those of you who can see though the hole see movement about 15 feet in, shuffling to the left. How about this then, slide your weapons through that hole you so kindly blew into the door, and I'll walk away from this without sending goons to pin your intestines to your front door when this is over. Otherwise...He fires his gun and another scream can be heard. I'll keep shooting Everyone in here.

Sovereign Court

game master

Veronica easily disables the Tigger, it seems someone had rigged a shotgun to the door, and it would have fired had someone not taken the time to cut the cord holding the door shut.

When she finishes the magus lifts his gun and fires at the door. If in bullet was enough to blow a hole in the door, both was enough to blow it away, the door how has a sizable hole down the middle, easily the size of a man's head. You hear the shouts of children and the vile voice of Gaedren shouting. "Quiet, you come in here I'll blow this child's brains out!" he says, firing a warning shot to make sure you got the picture. You hear the scream of a girl as he says this. "you just tell me what you want, I'll be willing to talk about some middle ground if you're willing to talk before you shoot."

Sovereign Court

Well with the recent addition if the Shifter class(from the new ultimate wilderness), I think it might be a good idea to do something like this.

Honestly, I was thinking of limiting the type of Lycanthrope to a select few, and not allowing stuff like the wereraptor or weresharks because they don't fit the theme.

Otherwise I would change some things like how they have their Alighnment changed simply by being a werewolf. It has always been my veiw that monsters have choice just as much as a player what Alighnment they want to be, and limiting a red dragon to only evil is like saying goblins can't learn to do good either.

Sovereign Court

I apologise for my silence, as I said in my first post, Life isn't going very well for me so opening this game isn't going to be a good idea untill I get a stable schedule.

Now, to awnser some questions, I'd likely use Pathfinder, but set it into a more Van Hellsing set-up.

If I do do a game like this(possibly in the future, no time soon) I'll probably pull some rules from a few different systems... I actually haven't seen any if the rules from horror adventures, mostly because I don't have the book. I heard they have a good system for insanity and may make a foray I to that if I have the time.

Sovereign Court

game master

Luckily before Arratu decides to open the door, he hears the sound of a click as he listens, sounding something like the trigger on a fuse Arratu has detected a trap on the door, likely recently set up, do you still want to open the door?

Sovereign Court

game master

From what I can see, RAW is saying you have to preform the ritual even if your replacing the previous bonded item, although it also states that it's masterwork. I'm assuming they mean you can bond yourself to masterwork or better item, at the same price a normal replacement would be...

Sovereign Court

game master

Thanks for doing that, I'm just terrible at doing things like that on my phone...

Sovereign Court

game master

The rifle is a martial weapon, also please note there are 11 bullets for it, including the one the gnome put in there and didn't fire, oh! It's only a standard action to reload one round, a full round to reload both, forgot to mention if you reload just one ;P

The sounds from the other side of the door stop and it becomes silent... Tension grows.

Sovereign Court

game master

Ah... Well technically the gnome was also unconscious, no one checked if he was still alive so...you just threw a living person Into the pool -_-

If the gnome wasn't dead before, the crocodile definitely finishes the Job, thrashing and quickly grabbing the unconscious gnome, dragging the body under.

Tasche recognized the rifle as a special Hunting rifle, commonly reffered to as an elephant gun. This particular model is a breach loader like a shotgun, but it takes large Rifle rounds. It's said these things can take an ogre down. From a hundred yards away.
Mechanic wise, it has the same range as a rifle(80ft) but deals 2d8 damage and can fire both rounds simultaneously. Attacking like that works like the feat Manyshot for bows, except that because of kickback the attack has a -4 to it. It takes a full round to reload

The magus is also able to identify the wand pretty easily as a wand if acid splash. Frankly it's useless compared to a good gun, but when your out of ammo...

You hear sound coming from the door below, as someone shouts, to hard for you to make out any words though...

Sovereign Court

game master

For sake of loot, the gnome had 10 rifle bullets and an Elephant Rifle (I'll give stats if asked), the Half-orc had Leather armor, a light flail, and 2 daggers. The first goon had a wand(unidentified), a coat pistol, and about 10 pistol cartridges. The gold carried among them all was about 60gp 15sp, and 20cp

Arratu smells someone under him, if he looks down he could see a pair if doors heading under the platform.
He can also tell a huge crocodile is swimming in the pool of water in the middle of the room. It doesn't appear to be in the mood to fight luckily...

Sovereign Court

game master

Yes, one handed guns are simple weapons, two handed martial, and those I specifically specify as Exotic (these include literal hand cannons or early automatic guns.)

Wizards, sorcerer, and monk are the only ones I listed as not proficient with guns.

Although some others arent as well, but none of your classes are Witches, Psychic, or Kineticist.

Sovereign Court

game master

Part of it is that the gun is Masterwork (+1 damage/attack from that), I believe the rest of it is a mix of Judgement, spells, and other boosts.

Sovereign Court

game master

With Sebastian's shot the gnome goes down, dropping his rather large gun.

The children in the room all scramble away, dashing out doors or climbing out windows.

Your new left with the relitivly empty room. You notice a pool in the middle swirls as something moves inside it... Probably best not to get near...

Stairs lead down onto the production floor, and large doors in the back open where you can see an old fishing boat.

If any of you wish to pick up the gnome's gun you find it is loaded with rifle bullets, and big ones too. Seems the gnome was firing at you with a gun that could take down an ogre.

Sovereign Court

game master

Urthal charges in and plants a hit on the gnome, who wasn't ready for the attack.
On top of that Tasche fires his weapon.

Several Children can be seen by those at the door, not as well armed as those before these children Carry brooms, mops, and buckets.

Just waiting on Veronica and Sebastian

Sovereign Court

game master

Horses have just hooves, and if I remember correctly they still count as secondary weapons... Although I think horses also have a bite attack but I'd have to check to make sure...

Just do what you have been(adjusted damage of course) and I'll roll with it, and for the sake of easy transition I'll still keep the previous damage, it's hard trying to patch things up after the fact.

Also, from now on basic cartridges are separated into three ammo groups: Pistol, Rifle, and shotgun shells.
This keeps folks from using the universal "oh I have a pistol so I'll just stick my ammo from that into my shotgun."

Sovereign Court

game master

With but three blows the half orc goes from a furious, giggling monster into a pile of unconscious orc.
That was enough to knock him out °-°,
also, for future reference any additional attacks (even from natural weapons) follow the same rules as any other time. The second attack takes a -5 to attack unless you have multiattack or any of those feats

Sovereign Court

game master

The gnome curses as shots come in. Giggles, open the door! he shouts, and the metal bar is removed.
Now unsupported the door falls in in a pile of splinters. Those of you who can see make note the room ahead is another work station, this one filled with canning Equipment. The gnome can be seen roughly 10 feet in, holding a gun twice his size with two barrels. He takes aim and fires again, the bullet hitting the far wall of the room your in.
Technically none of your attacks hit because of consealment, but that's not an issue any more. a burly Half-orc with a huge smile on his face steps in from the left, he swings something at Arratu.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
The weapon flies wide, smashing the wall. You recognize the weapon as an old fashioned Flail. The half orc just giggles despite his miss, his eyes filled with bloodlust.
[ooc]Okay, Initiative is the party-> the goons-> the children (who are out of sight)

Sovereign Court

game master

The door should have opened by all the onslaught being put into it, however a metal bar is holding it shut on the other side, and although Arratu's blows have bent it the door stands firm. Another shot goes off, blowing another hole in the door.

Perception DC:15:

You can hear the sound of someone reloading as the cartages clink on the ground

That's all the warning ye get! Next one's blowing yer head off! says the gnome.

Sovereign Court

game master

By the efforts if the half orc and his quick work the goon stabilizes, however he's still unconscious and likely will be for several days...

As Arratu pounds on the door he can hear the wood cracking and breaking... Unaware of the danger on the other side..

The sound of a massive gunshot blast from the other side of the door, and a hole splinters through the wood as the bullet blasts straight through the wood
I'm shooting at the first sign of any of yer ugly mugs! shouts the gnome from the other side, somehow armed with a gun Powerful enough to blow through a door.

Sovereign Court

game master

The children begin to scramble, heading out the main door, wherever they went, hopefully it is better than here...

From behind the door you can hear muffled orders being given...

The goon when checks is found to be unconscious, but on the edge of death. Unless someone stops his internal bleeding he will die in but a few moments.

Sovereign Court

game master

The goon falls limp in Urthal's hands.

The children all back off, holding their weapons up in defense, unwilling to attack a man with a gun...

The goon makes no move, having succumbed to his wounds. Whoever this was, he wont be talking any time soon. The door he was trying to excape through opens and a gnome peeks in, apon seeing the group he immediately closes the door, and you can hear it lock.

Technically combat is over, unless someone feels like attacking the children, I'm tracking the game and there is no need to track Exp, I'll level you up at key points in the game... Oh! And yeah, the total of over 17 lethal on top of the Non-lethal from earlier definitely killed the man

Sovereign Court

game master

Urthal successfully tackles and holds the good down,

Unfortunately for the Half-orc she forgets the man's last orders. A child comes over and tries to smash his head in with a shovel.
Child 1: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
Confirm?: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9
The shovel slams the brawler smack in the side of his head.
Damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4

The rest of the children pick up objects strewn around, from pitchforks to small knives. Most of them hesitate apon the entry of the strange monster screaming, however once that shock clears they all rush to help the grappled goon, surrounding Urthal and her opponent.
Luckily for the half-orc, there are only about 4 children willing to fight, the others all scamper off to the shadows, hiding behind boxes or under tables. They likely won't fight unless provoked...

Child 2 attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17 the bonus is from flanking
Child 3: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14
child 4: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0

Luckily for the Half-orc these children are unable to break his defenses

The goon squirms, Let me go! he attempts to break free.
Grapple: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17

The man is utterly useless, his pitiful squirming is almost laughable.

Sovereign Court

game master

Sorry, My work has been on me, so if I go a few days without posting at times it's because work is on my butt, in addition I also used up all my data streaming Netflix when I thought I was on WiFi so my posting is even more limited :P

I'll get an update in a minute, sorry fir the delay.

Sovereign Court

Jett snorts. "Weapons are only given to those who know how to use them, and those who've completed a trial. You see they don't just let anyone have weapon, for all we know your a Psychotic murderer. They allow you to keep your weapons you bring, but that's it."

As he finishes this a figure enters the bar. It stands a full 7 feet tall, and you can't tell if that's it's actual hight or if it's floating, for the creature that was there looked as if it had glided in.
It's skin was pale blue and four tenticles hung from it's squid-like face. It sees your group and you all feel it's voice in your minds. "The Counsel requests your presence " it says, the words slithering in your skulls.

Jett sighs, "Took no time to find out where you are it seems." he says. "some advice before you go, don't ask them to find out who you are... Those that learn the truth are often driven mad." Jett leans back, and the creature beckons you again.

Sovereign Court

game master

I feel like although you rolled amazing on your lie, it's extremely unlikely what your tried to lie about.

And this is where things get grey...

I honestly don't know what to have them do, so I just decided to go hostile... Not like it would have changed anything the second you encountered someone else,

Also, please note what information you have that I DIDN'T give out.
I never said the dogs name, so you knowing it sorta throws stuff off...

Sovereign Court

game master

The man coughs, I ain't seen none of ya before... And how did you know about Bloo? in your hesitation the man tries to get away, dashing back into the room he came, Intruders! WE GOT THEIVES! it seems that even the most sly of lies wasn't gonna convince this man, the man you had just hit.
He's using a withdrawal action to avoid any AOO from you, and makes his way into the other room and to the left, twards some other doors

For those of you who can see into the room, see that it's a work room, several Children are moving buckets of fish, cleaning, or otherwise doing hard labor.

They look up at the man and he barks an order.

Don't just stare, you filthy gutter-rats! Stop them! the children begin to move, grabbing brooms and several other things to use as weapons.

This of course is assuming you all stopped to see what would happen with the lie. For mechanics: Lie is far fetched so a -10 to the check. Why? Well, there are no other adults working for Lamm at this time other than him and a few others he's quite familiar with. 2, you had no information as to what the dog's name was, I had never given any such info, so your wild guess threw him off, making him immediately distrust you

Round 2: Party- man- children-

Sovereign Court

game master

Jett listens to all your questions and sighs Alright, First: you'll only be needed to fight if you feel like your lives are worth fighting for. Second: no these attacks are extremely rare, we had assumed the Goblins had no idea where we where located, and the only monsters that got near this place where the darkness and a few stragglers.

He sets a glass on the counter. As for the counsel, their ranks consist of our leaders, and a powerful Illithid Telopath. Honestly they check in with every new group and assign them either together in hopes they'll be connected somehow and be able to work together more efficiently, or they decide to separate you all in the same hopes... he leans down onto the counter. I actually suggest you ready yourselves for battle, seems like the doors won't hold. The goblins apparently have a strange weapon they are readying at the door, from what folks are saying it might be an acid or something that can slip through the cracks of the doors. I hope not, Dwarven stonework is the best around, but I'm still quite worried. The fact that the drum has stopped is pleasing. You know danger is close when you hear it...

Sovereign Court

game master

Oof, sorry again, don't have much time... I'll get a post out...

Just know that this game is gonna be slow for at least a month, work should ease up after that, and I'll be able to post regularly again.

Sovereign Court

game master

Punches are always Non-lethal, and only aren't if you have the inproved unarmed strike feat, in which case it still doesn't give a penalty to be Non-lethal

The man takes Urthal's punch to the gut.
Will: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (7) + 0 = 7

The man reals, still baffled by what's happening
round 1! Party first.

Sovereign Court

game master

I'm gonna apologise for any slowness I may have in posting, work is in my heels, but don't worry I won't abandon you all!

Sovereign Court

game master

A man with blonde hair and an ugly snear walks into the room, opening the door, it takes him a second to notice anyone here, but when he does his face is filled with a dread, scared as a man face to face with death.

Initiative:

Man's Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Sebastian: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Tasche: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Urthal: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Veronica: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
???: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Suprise round: Party can go!

Round 1: Party then The Man, then the Mysterious third party(if they're willing to join)
Remember that you only get one standard or move action on suprise rounds , otherwise I don't care the order and you can take both your Suprise and normal actions at the same time to keep this quick.

Sovereign Court

the stairs head down and out if sight

The door on the right opens to a bedroom, with two bunk beds. The beds are unoccupied at the moment, and a lantern lights this room as well.

A bang comes from the next room, behind a door between the bunk beds. Shouting can be heard and someone talking seems to be approaching the other door....Swear you mongrels are more dogs than Bloo!

The handle on the other door rattles as someone begins to open it.
Anyone want to act before he comes in?

Sovereign Court

So, This is Just going to be an interest thread at the moment, I do have quite a bit going on at the moment, and opening another campaign right now is gonna not be very good for me.

However, It's possible I could do something in the future (at least in the next 2 weeks)

So, I have the feeling to play a campaign either with your PC as Lycanthrope, or hunting said creatures and possibly becoming one.

It's rare that a campaign has Lycanthrope within them then have that be an integral part, or allow being a lycan without the whole alignment change.
What I'd want from this is either a short to mid length game where your characters have to adapt to the changes within them, or if they are hunters kill Lycanthrope only to discover some hidden third party (possibly something controlling or making more lycans.)

Now if I do something like this it will be very classic Transylvanian. Spooky forests and dark castles. Infact I might just set this within the ravenloft world(one of my favorite worlds) To add to the atmosphere. After all since ravenloft isn't a whole world I could add pretty much anything I wanted to it. Who says a villian in Gallorian hasn't done something worthy of Ravenloft?

So, for now it's just an interest check to see if many people would want to do something like this, as well as any suggestions on systems, Alternative rules, Character ideas(but not aliases quite yet), or possibly offers to do something like this and offer me a spot as a player (gods know I'd rather play this game than DM it.)

Also this game will likely have guns, after all silver bullets are a staple of the genre.

Sovereign Court

game master

Woops! I just realized the room you actually opened up to was a completely different room! Ha! I read the map wrong, aw well, I guess I'll just play with this new, if slightly rearranged Fishery...

Ugh, Update in the morning, it's late for me :P

Sovereign Court

The dog is silenced without a sound...

The door on the left ipens into the loading dock, which is currently empty. It's back outside and the smell of the night air is nice compared to the stuffy fish-scented building.

A set of stairs leads East from the door(east is on your right once you leave the doors, you entered the building from the West)

There is still no sign of activity other than the gaurd dog. If the fortune teller was telling the truth, it's likely hidden somewhere deeper in the building.
