You might consider trading the ability to use implantable tech based cybernetics that for a small pool of "bio cred" that can be used to temporarily purchase plausible bioware.
For example shape changing to have chameleon suckers then change to have wings then change to have gills.

Anyone who wants to play an astrazoan would probably find this to be way more flavorful and fun.

The bioware abilities the Astrazoan could get would need to be limited by modification level and cost, and may even come off a set list. Perhaps be limited in the total number you could have at one time, and by body modification slots.
I would also imaging that they could buy more bio-cred and a rate of maybe 3 Credits to 1 Bio-cred.

Anyone who wants to play a non human shape changer would probably gladly make that trade. It seems flavorful.

Has anyone seen a problem with letting the Solarian manifest the weapon and the armor?
I've been allowing it in my game and haven't seen any issues, but we are only 3rd level.

Zed pilots the Astral Zephyr on manual as we get closer to the site. He hits one of the holographic controls and the sensors begin to readout on all the screens in the ship. He hits another switch and opens the cargo door at the stern of the ship.
"Alright folks, I am going to do a couple passes; first with visual sensors, then with radio and see what we can pick up... There are windows in the galley and I just opened the back door in case the ship gets in the way of your exotic dimensional senses Q... Cat, and anyone else who wants to help, see what you can find in the sensor data streams."

Starting to look at my options, I am now thinking of Swashbuckler / Bard rather than gunslinger. I can get what I really want from Gunslinger from amateur gunslinger feat. I could still pick up Gunslinger later on if it makes sense.

Could I take Perform:Leadership to reskin of bardic performance as command training? Mechanically it's the same, but it's force of personality rather than music causing the effects?


It's taken a while to come up with something that I like for this.

I want to play an ex-Derutei Space Marine Lieutenant from a "noble" background who refused to land his shuttle on a crowd of peaceful protesters. He was imprisoned where he was experimented on by a crazed scientist trying to unlock the "secrets of Sol"

So mechanically I would like to try a Damphir Gunslinger 1/Swashbuckler 1 named Lazarus Xim. Roll is primarily combat, but I plan to be able to be charming and act as a party face... with the added complication that I am slightly cursed by undeath and would be hunted like a dog if anyone figures it out. Additionally, the scientist who created me may be trying to get me back to make more of me.
I don't know anything about what caused the desecration but I want to learn more about my condition so hopefully it can be cured.

I tend to like "jack of all trades" dex based fighter characters. Is it worth working on numbers for this idea?

He says he's here to reclaim weapons that were stolen from his boss who goes by the name Doctor Lazarus. Apparently, he means this shipment of S.M.R.T. weapons."

Zed looks over at the bear. "I think he is serious that his team of meta-humans thinks their attack to get the weapons is justified, and getting the S.M.R.T. weapons out of Manhattan where people can be hurt is a really good idea." then with a wry smile, and a thumb over his shoulder, "Jersey is right over there.

Cosmos levels his gun at the Burning Bear, and takes careful aim. Thinging to himself, Okay Q, I'll back your play but one hundred Quatloos says Vohon isn't the surrendering type.

As he aims, he says quietly..."Cosmos to Zephyr, If Liberteen doesn't start moving by the time the transmat cycles, pull her up to the ship too... I know she has some healing ability, but it doesn't seem to be working right now."

Standard action to take the aim action at Vohon. If he chooses to fight I get a +5 to my attack roll next time my turn comes around.

At the moment, it looks like we have a 3 on 1 dogpile on Vohon, but Liberteen could use some help with the Lightning guy. I think I can help with that. Captain Cosmos changes a setting on his PPG to Temporal/Spacial Helix setting. The captain makes a deft combat roll and pops up drawing a bead on the energy form of Living Lightning. "Hey Sparky, even energy can't avoid a twist in space and time!"

Cosmos dives and rolls for cover behind some crates. I'm looking for some cover bonus from the 'Heat rays'. From his covered position he yells to Vohon, "What's the deal with your powers? I get Russian Bear, That's a good theme. I like it..." In the middle of taunting Cosmos blasts the bear-man. "but what's with the fire? That doesn't make any sense.

I don't think she can take 10 on this. You are correct that my intent is to beam out all the wounded while the fight is going on, and not fighting, so taking 10 may be appropriate. The problem is that it is not a skill use so a routine check doesn't seem to me to apply.

When I designed the transmat, I built it with the unreliable flaw; basically 50/50 odds of working on a given turn. The thinking was the operator is messing with the controls to get the lock, there is no way to tell how long that will take, but it takes move+standard each turn, so you have to spend most of your action futzing to get the lock, even in perfect conditions.

That way it's more like the Star trek transporter and less like a superpower.

Assuming it hits, Fortitude vs. DC 20 for cumulative status effects based on the same affliction stun effects... Daze -> Stun -> Incapacitated
So if he misses by one degree he gets knocked down to stunned, and two degrees takes him to incapacitated.

I was planning to put a multi-attack setting on my PPG, and horde the other one.
