I don't want to be following the trend but I have gotten a brand new job that is eating up my time as well as some other real life. Enough so that I didn't even realize I had not been checking the gameplay posts at all.

With that said, I am going to pull out of here for now and maybe re-assess my time again in the future. Thank you for having me Oxnard for this very ambitious game <3

Sorry for the delay! The winter storm in Texas hit us pretty hard.

The power of Zailor soothes his wounds and restores his stamina, keeping the froggy swashbuckler in good shape. He launches another attack at the enemy that remains on their boat, aiming to pierce through the sahuagin's tender bits.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Alas, I only regain panache now with criticals with rapiers. It is one of the tradeoffs of being an Inspired Blade

Parrying the blade to the side, Billi drives his small rapier into the sahuagin's heart and pulls it out. The foe slips off of the boat and lifelessly floats in the water. He turns his attention then to the last foe on the boat, twirling his blade menacingly.

"I'll show you that Deepcroak is no pushover!" He shouts, striking against the foe with quick strikes in succession.

Round 2 AoO: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Flanked by Sahuagin, Biligup strikes at the enemy flanking him and prepares to try and parry the attack out of his way.

As the sahuagin begin to surround the boat, Biligup draws his rapier and steps in to strike. He looks for an ample opportunity to sink his blade into one of the sahuagin.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

---Over The Last Two Days---

Biligup's head hung low as he looked down into the deep water nearby the port, a frown on the usually implacable grippli's face. He throws a stone into the water, watching the ripples wash out to sea before he thinks his time upon the Sunny Devil. Never had he put too much thought into the crew that he had fought beside but his skill in combat against the Blood Queen's crew had shown him how outclassed he actually was. With the sudden realization that his combat prowess was not what he had imagined, he looked over his history with a critical eye.

Was it really his croak that scared that pirate captain off of the ship or was it the first mate's steely glare behind him? Were the missions he was sent on as critical as Captain Sandra had made them out to be or were they distractions to keep him safe and out of the way? A sickening feeling began to settle onto the grippli, his head resting in his small palms.

"I was a joke to them."

He wasn't advancing the culture of the Grippli, he was making a mockery of them. He wasn't making a real reputation for himself, he was the jester in their naval court. They didn't seem like bad people, they hunted the worst of the pirates down and had scuffled with the truly brutal time and time again. Biligup realized that they hadn't believed in what he could do. As tears began to come down the grippli's face, stinging over the scar on his cheek left by the pirate who first struck him, he nearly jumped again as he looked into the water.

What stared back was not his reflection but that of his father, the great High Chief Willup. His father stared stoically up at him with those fiercely orange eyes. Biligup's heart began to sink at the thought of failing his father as well, the embarrassment he must have been. Yet the reflection slowly grinned and laughed, the smile of a loving father looking up at the small swashbuckler. Before he could stare any further, a ship sailing into port cast a ripple that crashed against the dock and disturbed the image. It was all the sign that Biligup needed.

The next two days, his comrades would see a change in Biligup. The small frog-like man would become a bit more reserved but he trained ferociously with his rapier in hand. Never would he be a mockery again, never would he let his comrades have to carry his weight. This world would come to know of Deepcroak and that name would come with respect.

---Present Moment---

Biligup looked up at the broken Queen, studying her forlorn expression for another moment before turning back towards the prince. There were many leads for them to take, opportunities to grow in renown and in power.

"I say we go after the pirates in the Fair Lands. We have a good ship, we have a good crew, we can make the oceans a bit safer for trade to travel through on." The mention of captain and officers makes the grippli's eyes brighten for a moment before they dull again. "There is no way they would want me as a captain. I couldn't even protect Munir."

"I think that Lagrin should be captain...or at the least first mate. I saw him sailing the boat on the raid and he was magnificent. We could do a lot worse with one of his skill." Biligup offers, nodding in support of the tengu.

Biligup does what he does best, trying to manuever in a way to help his allies the best he can. Pouncing off of the wall and diving over small boxes, the Grippli trusts in his dramatic aerial acrobatics to protect him as he maneuvers to flank the nefarious Blood Queen.

I am going to attempt an Acrobatics check to move behind the Blood Queen without provoking AoO.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Attacking the woman on the other side of Heskavar, the small frog man strikes at her flank.

When one of the potions on the ground is identified as a potion of invisibility, the little frog would happily take it with him and make his way down to the last door. Swigging it back before the door is slammed open, Biligup disappears out of sight before the faint sound of his feet could be heard scampering into the room.

He appears again nearby one of the pirates, leaping from the wall with his rapier aiming for the man's gut.

Damn all these "normal" sized people with their "normal" equipment! :P

Biligup gathers with the others, two of the weaker potions now dangling from his hip. He takes a deep breath and gives a nod to Lagrin, lifting his rapier up in a defensive posture.

The final pirate is taken down and the other foes that remained finally surrender. A sense of exhaustion rushes over the Grippli as he sits back on his haunches and lets out a small chuckle.

"Well I'll be...we did it." At Myrsko's words, the swashbuckler gathers rope and quickly ties the prisoners up before leading them upstairs to the deck properly. He awaits the others to send the signal to Prince Cadmael while he looks over the damage his comrades took.

"Let his god sort him out, I say. We'll see if he is still alive when the battle is over." Biligup says, wiping dirt from his brow as he follows the others down below under the deck with his rapier ready. He crawls in and out of portholes, trying to quicken his descent in if at all possible.

If I am able to move and attack, I will do so. Otherwise, I just double move.

Maybe Attack?:

Billigup watches as others join him against the pirate, striking and attacking where they could to defeat the man. The pirate was still standing after Lagrin's strike but Billy had hoped to capitalize on an opening from behind.

Biligup continues to fight alongside the Sahuagin, doing little bits of damage with his careful strikes against the pirate. He is an excellent distraction though, ensuring the enemy stays focused on him.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21Damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1

Billy watched as the pirates continued to cut and strike against the fierce Sahuagin, keeping him pinned between them. The young Grippli struck as true as he could, trying to keep the enemy knocked away and bring this foul pirate down.

I'd like to see the little grippli grow up into something badass. I do realize and appreciate how daunting an ambitiously large combat is but I agree it was a bit much for being at first level. I'll still be here as long as we have enough for a story :)

Biligup will roll out of the way of one of the pirate's attacks, flanking behind him before drawing his blade up once more. As his comrades strike and force the foe on the defensive, he thrusts his blade once more and seeks an opening in their defense.

I am also having a hard time reading the slides and figuring out where is what and what the confines are. Biligup will move towards wherever fighting is and attack the nearest pirate.

Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8Damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3

Focusing in on the priest, Biligup tries to maneuver around him as best as he could to provide an advantage for himself and his allies. With each movement though, he worries at putting himself in danger. "Maybe this is why they never let me take the charge, no matter how much I volunteered." The grippli ponders, striking out against the priest when the opportunity showed itself.

Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12Damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1

After the pirate falls, Biligup circles around to find Lagrin engaged in combat. With his rapier's glinting in the dark, he strikes out at his foe hoping that numbers will bring the foe down.

Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21Damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2

Hey there folks! I got a pretty bad migraine today so if needed, bot me. If Munir has any more healing, Biligup will stay around for that. The searing heat makes Biligup gasp for a moment but the wound seems to burn further close, the fatigue in his limbs and the ache in his body burning away as well. After the sudden sensation goes, he feels more able than he was a moment ago.

"Some of the party has gone down below to continue the fighting. We have two more of our own up here that are down and unconscious. I don't know if you'll be able to help them or not. We need to move quickly though, the others may need our help!" Biligup moves along the bloodied deck, grabbing the lightest of his two fallen comrades and trying to move them over to the other to help ease whatever it may be that Munir needs to do to get them up and fighting again.

Biligup leans down with the potion in hand, opening up the gnoll's mouth and pouring the sweet, red liquid in.

Potion of Cure Light Wounds?: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

One more than none and you're good to go.

With a potion in hand, Biligup makes his way over to Munir's body. The pain of his freshly healed wound aches and keeps him from moving too much. Standing over Munir, he prepares to carefully administer the potion.

Only can take the move action or I'll drop into negative HP. Will give the potion next round

"Oreana, have you found anything?" The grippli shouted over towards her while he rummaged over the dead. One would think that being of noble birth, the swashbuckler would have some hesitation getting involved with the bloodied and injured among them. Yet it seemed like he had no care at all, tossing over pockets looking for a potion.

Once he heard that she found one, he would limp his way over towards where Munir laid. The fierce gnoll looked so distraught laying there upon the bloodied deck. "C'mon, get up Munir. I'll do a better job this time, I promise." He whispered, feeling guilty at the fall of the strange man.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

I didn't make the roll initially because I wasn't sure if would count as moving and taking an action. If I did that, I'd drop right back to -1 and dying.

| Speed 30ft | Active conditions: None | HP: 14/20 | AC: 18 (13 Tch, 15 Fl) | CMB: -1, CMD: 11 | F: +2 R: +5 W: -1 | Init: +3 | Perc: +3, SM: -1 | Panache: 4/4 | Charmed Life: 3/3

Slowly but surely, the Grippli's eyes open up to the world around him. He focuses on Nathaniel, a wry grin spreading across his face at the seascarred's transformed body. When he spoke, his voice was hoarse and he still seemed so terribly tired.

"I'm not in the afterlife, it seems. You're...far too ugly." The grippli says with a pained chuckle, sitting up a little more. His body still ached and even after all that healing, the wound looked like it would rip back open if he pushed himself too much. "I...will search the dead. Maybe we'll be lucky and there'll be more healing to be found. Someone should help Munir, I am worried for him."

I am used to 5e healing as well LOL. I am disabled but no longer unconscious. Biligup will move to the nearest downed body and check them for potions and wands.

The wound on Biligup's chest seems to shallow, days of healing occurring in the matter of moments. The grippli's mouth wraps around the bottle as he begins to gain some semblance of consciousness, eagerly and hungrily chugging down the rest of the burnt cinnamon liquid. When the bottle empties though, the Grippli goes still again. He is healed but still not yet conscious, though his color had returned to much of his skin.

Healing brings me from -9 to -3. Still unconscious but not dying or anything.

Biligup begins to breathe a bit easier now after having his wounds looked after, the slash wound staunched for the moment and the bleeding slowed. He was able to safely be put down, amidst the rest of the stabilized sailors on the main deck.

Thank you for saving the little frog man. I swear I'll be better at level 3! Lol.

Dying: 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (9) - 6 = 3

The little frog's body begins to grow a little colder...

Failed the stabilization check. I am at -9.

Biligup's wound continues to ooze, more red spilling onto the deck.

Oh, don't worry about it. Just wallow in the guilt that the tiny, adorable frog boy believes in you and you failed him :P

God Tier Parry?: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Biligup stabs the sailor in the side hard, bringing a victorious smile to his face. Yet the pirate spins with terrible speed and strength. He aims his buckler up high to parry the blow but the attack sweeps incredibly low, passing under the shield.

"Oh dear..." The young Grippli thinks moments before the cutlass catches him across the chest, ripping apart clothing and spraying red onto the bloodied deck. He stumbles back a few steps, the rapier falling from his hand, as he looks down.

"Huh, that's unexpected..." Biligup murmurs out before slumping against the fallen gnoll, his eyes desperately trying to stay open but failing before Nathaniel. "Go...get him...sharky..."

Failed the parry. That drops Biligup to a -7

| Speed 30ft | Active conditions: None | HP: 14/20 | AC: 18 (13 Tch, 15 Fl) | CMB: -1, CMD: 11 | F: +2 R: +5 W: -1 | Init: +3 | Perc: +3, SM: -1 | Panache: 4/4 | Charmed Life: 3/3

If only the little Grippli had noticed the failed attempt on the skinwalker's behalf to try and intimidate the pirate, they would have lessons. The little frog could be surprisingly intimidating for one so adorably sized.

Instead though, he continued to fight as hard as he could against the spotter and avoid his cutlass and axe. Rushing back in, he would stand over the fallen gnoll's body to protect it and put the pressure on the pirate as well.

Move 10ft to engage the pirate with some good ol' flanking bonuses.

Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 6 + 2 = 26
Damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
Critical Threat: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Critical Damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1

Maybe another point of panache
