Would like to present Asura for consideration. Crunch minus equipment is in the profile. Looked like you all needed a bit of a healer plus Asura will add another front-line to the mix.

Very general strokes of a background: Asura lives out in the wilds, a devout follower of Erastil. She is a travelling healer in the area. She's a bit of an outcast because of her 'deformity' where her nose and mouth is almost canine. Otherwise she is very pretty and has entrancing eyes. She commonly wears a vale to cover her face.

Wanted to leave things vague so that I could work with the group/GM to have the background make sense with the current spot in the story.

To note I am in another Ironfang game that is in part 2 of book 1. Otherwise I have no knowledge of the AP. However, if you get interest from people that haven't played in the AP, feel free to give them preference.

I doubt that's the most elegant solution, but that's how I do it xD

If you go to the Campaign tab (linked to yours there) of your profile it will show all the games you are playing in and will show the number of new posts in each game since you last looked. That may be easier than having bookmarks for each one, just FYI. I just keep that tab open in a browser and F5 it when I want to check for new posts.

Also, since there has been quite a bit more interest since I first posted I'm going to withdraw to give someone new to the AP a shot.

Have an Oracle/Paladin I've been wanting to try. Crunch in the alias, excluding gear purchases.

Very general strokes of a background: Asura lives out in the wilds, she's friends with Shalelu and is a devout follower of Erastil, she's helped both Shalelu and the town in the past so she is accepted by some residents like Ameiko. She's a bit of an outcast because of her 'deformity' where her nose and mouth is almost canine. Otherwise she is very pretty and has entrancing eyes. She commonly wears a vale to cover her face. Maybe was captured by the goblins to explain why she hadn't been around Sandpoint and/or is already at Thistletop.

To note, I'm currently in a RotRL game that is still very early in. I'm also GMing one. In the past I've GMed through the end of book 2. So, I do have preexisting knowledge, but I know how to keep the IC and OOC separate. If you prefer new players or non-preexisting knowledge I completely understand.

Had this for a previous WotR. Will look to adjust to meet your creation guidelines tonight.

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Totally meant to post this up on Wed but it's been a crazy weekend. Just got back from PAX East and I am launching my digital game Kickstarter tomorrow. So going to try and catch up today but it may be as late as Wed before I have a chance to post.

Good news is after Tues (unless our Kickstarter just absolutely blows up) things will be back to normal for the forceable future and I should be back to my twice a day posting.

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura takes a look at the remaining creature grappling Meria trying to see if there is an opening for her to take a shot without injuring her companion.

Once she finds an opening she draws back and shoots.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 3 - 4 = 18 Add -4 for into melee not sure if there are additional - for grapple.[/ooc]
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura tries to put down the creature near here before it does any further damage.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura steps out of the way avoiding the thing while pulling out an arrow to take a shot at it.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 1 = 22
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Sorry for any delay on my part, super busy week with my real job and my side job as we just launched our next board game Kickstarter. I should have a post up this weekend to catch up.

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

I'm fine with Roll20 but can't always check it.

If you were looking at just doing flat images I would suggest using google drive this way people can still move their pieces and such you just don't have all the control you have with Roll20.

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura grabs the warhammer, potions and rings handing them over to whomever is carrying the rest of the gear they have found. "Some potions that might come in handy, the warhammer is of high quality it may come in handy. Also, that water, might be holy being that we are in a temple. Not sure if that would come in handy at all or not."

As she passes the gear off she starts to head for the door. "I'll start scouting ahead while you all get set."

Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura nods to Baradesh's request for the potion and as the others debate the remaining power or lack there of in the temple she goes to check the room for anything useful before heading back to the path they had been taking. They still needed to get back up top.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura now a bit further back in the room lines up a shot.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4

With the cramped space she trips on a chair as the arrow clanks against a far wall.

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura moves back from the door pulling out her bow reading to shot when she has a chance.

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura moves inside as the others bicker wanting to get in and out and on their way. Trying to be quite she will search the place before checking the other door and taking a look inside.

Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 For searching room
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 For door

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura checks the door for anything out of the ordinary before attempting to open it and peek inside.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura steps backing giving Baradesh room to work and trying to distance herself from the vermin while pulling out another arrow to take a shot.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 3 + 1 = 17
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura nooks another arrow and takes aim at the one she already hit.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4

"What is with all the giant vermin?"

Know. Planes: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura moves back to the others. "Looks like we may have found what left those maggots. There is a huge fly in there. Also, oddly there is a building with a large hammer carved on it though the rest of the chamber is rough walls again the worked portion ends here. I didn't see any doors or windows from this side but I didn't get too close with that huge fly."

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Once the others catch up to the split with the man-made section she will go ahead and see what she can find.

Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Plan is to stay about 30 feet ahead, no further than 60, unless I find something of importance in which case I would circle back.

After finding the split Asura goes back to the others "Looks like there may be something of interest ahead. Seems we have come across a man made part of the tunnel although there is some odd lighting coming from inside. Let's move up and I can try and scout it out."

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura nods to Azim and moves to scout out the tunnel.

Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura looks to Bardesh "I have plenty of water if we need it, but I don't expect us to be down here that long."

Looking to the rest of the group "This looks like it may lead up, though there is another path. Do we have any preference?"

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura will aim her shot waiting to see if the snake survives the other's assualt. If so she will take a shot as well.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8

------

Once the fight completes she will nod to Azim "Fine here." as she continues into the passage keeping an eye out for any threats and making sure she doesn't sense anything else coming.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura lines up a shot trying to hit the un-injured snake.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura lines up a shot as they all start in on the snakes.

Init: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura quietly backs out of the room keeping her eyes on the snakes and her bow at the ready. She will get back to the others and relay the information "There are some big snakes in the next room and the tunnel branches off again. I think they knew I was there but they didn't move to attack immediatly."

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

As Meria hands her the scale and the knowledge of it's magic washes over her she shivers a bit Terendelev was powerful indeed, she will be missed....

As Andanan basically floats to retrieve the backpack she nods. "My scale aparently allows you to change shape into another humanoid form and more easily decieve demons which could be especially useful."

As the others look through the pack she moves to the other end of the opening and begins scouting the tunnel ahead. Keeping an eye out for any threats as she moves along.

Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Asura will take a good look around to make sure there aren't any threats. After making sure the coast is clear Asura will head back to the others 30 or so feet behind her and relay what she has found as she shakes her head "I don't plan on climbing up there, though there could be something useful if anyone is an excellent climber."

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura rubs her hands down her face in frustation not sure which to pick and opts for the left tunnel wanting to avoid something that may have moved through the other.

She moves into the darkness of the tunnel, bow at the ready trying to be as quite as possible.

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura nods to Meria "That sounds good though I would add one slight variation. Let me scout ahead, I may be able to spot things before they see us or hear him clanking around." She motions toward Beradesh. "Stay back just far enough you could get to me if I needed help" 30 ft space for single move action

She goes over to retrieve her arrow but kicks the maggot and arrow as it seems to have broken off when it went through it and hit the ground. She shrugs before moving toward the tunnel quietly and trying to feel a draft or see any distant light that might help aid her decision in which path to take.

Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

OOC:
Not sure how noticeable the scales would have been to draw her to them. Meta I assume it would be helpful to pick one up but her first instinct after the fall would be to start trying to find a way out.

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura starts a bit by the maggots bursting out but then pulls out an arrow and takes a shot at one of them.

Init: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 6

Getting a good look at the things and still trying to figure out what the spider might have been she thinks back on if anything is familiar.

Know. Planes: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura stops as she notices the motion in the dead creature, only getting close enough to try and figure out what it was. She looks back at all the others a moment then points at the thing. "If you all aren't too busy being buddy, buddy something is moving inside this dead thing and it looks like our potential way out lies past it."

She pulls out her bow and moves back toward the others. Keeping an eye on the movement inside the thing.

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

As events unfold Asura keeps out of the way of those helping with the rock knowing sometimes too many helpers can cause more of a problem. Instead she will go over to the strange spider shape to get a better look and see if it is a threat or if there are anymore like it.

At Baradesh's mention of tunnels under the town she thinks back on the time she has been here if she had heard mention of such.

Know. Local: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura rubs her head after the fall. Getting a good look at the demons before hand she is actually a bit realived to be away from the fight, especially after seeing Terendelev fall.

Seeing the others around and soon after the flash of light from Meria she takes inventory of her gear. After finding everything still seemed in it's place she looks around to see where they might be and if there are any ways out.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

As the dwarf speaks out she shrugs "I would count your blessings we are not above with Khorramzadeh. He led the previous assault on Kenabres that cracked the wardstone and apparently came back to finish the job this time. He is quite possibly the most powerful demon of the Worldwound."

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Not sure if it makes any difference but 4/6 of the party have darkvision :)

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura turns quickly as she hears the explosion as the dust settles and she no longer see the Kite where it has always been and instead a huge demonic form she froze. Though the demons were a constant threat she had never seen anything like this, especially now with no Wardstones, the Wardstones always held true, or at least she thought. Flashes of her father and the various imaginings of what actually happened to him ran through her mind and then Efwin, she looked around for him. Although he was capable enough he has still been a friend to her these last several years. She couldn’t remember if he had planned to come to the ceremony or not. A knight bumped into here, nearly knocking her over as he rushed to join the perimeter and she snapped back to the here and now.

As people run and scream everywhere she pulls out her bow and looks for a good vantage point and any familiar lesser demons she might be able to help strike down. A grin forms on her lips as she realizes she can finally get some demon slaying in.

Know. Planes: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 To ID the demons

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura helped in Azim's search when she had time. As expected Efwin was of little help. She continued seeing to her tasks at the store, still bogged down at work and not able to get out often to enjoy herself and get occupied with something other than haggling and talking business with various crusaders and mercenaries.

Looking forward to the meetup Asura heads to the Defender's Heart early to get a good group of seats and start the party early.

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura shrugs as the woman walks off but takes a moment to contimplate her words until Azim stands to leave. She smiles at him then downs her last drink "Well, if you'll have me I can help you try and find your friend. It will give me a bit of a break from my other work and I can take you to Efwin, though I wouldn't know that he has any idea where your friend is."

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura huffs as the older woman interrupts her joking and shrugs "Well perhaps I haven't looked hard enough then. As for my dreams, I'd like to stick it to those forsaken demons where the sun don't shine." She slams her mug down on the table, quite a bit harder than she had intended. "And really, if I had my way I'd close up the damnable Worldwound and send them all back to where they belong so they can't destroy anymore families!"

She sniffs, her eyes a bit puffy and her cheeks flush. What's wrong with you? she thinks to herself Get a little drink and you go off the rails, reminiscing about your father...

She brushes her nose, promptly, with a knuckle before looking at the woman in more detail "What's it to you anyway? You say I will have a role to play, what does that mean? Are you some kind of fortune teller or something?"

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

”Hm, me? Well I’ve been in town a few years. I work for an alchemist who sells potions and the like to all the crusaders. Business is good that is for sure, this close to the Worldwound lots of people like to have their backup potions when they ride out to meet the demons. I’d love to join a crusade myself and really stick it to the demons, but I’m not affiliated with Sarenrae or Iomedae so many will not have me, especially with me not being a big burly paladin.” She puffs up her chest and flexes her arms mockingly and then laughs and gives Azim a wink, obviously getting a bit inebriated.

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Defenders Heart:
Asura sees the man in very unusual armor staring at her and quirks an eyebrow as if to say Can I help you?. Used to being stared at occasionally, due to her heritage, she more wondered what was going through his mind rather than being concerned about him staring. She watches as he approaches and listens as he talks, losing interest in the crusaders conversation.

At his request she gives a brief nod and kicks out the chair a bit, where her feet had been resting. ”Have a seat if you like, it’s always better to drink with someone than by yourself.” She motions for one of the staff to bring another cup while he gets comfortable.

”As to food, the stew if tasty though not made out of beef. Not a lot of land around for cattle, what with the demons and all, usually pork or chicken.” she shrugs continuing to nurse her mug of mead. While pouring another cup she asks ”So you’re obviously not from around these parts, what’s your story?”

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura fought her way through the crowded streets on the way to the Defenders Heart. Still in somewhat of a foul mood she doesn’t even bother being polite, simply bumping into those she passes that aren’t paying attention to move out of the way. The Inn itself was swarming with people it seemed. As she entered one of the staff near the door yelled out ”We have no rooms miss” not even really paying attention who they were talking to Asura promptly replied ”I’m in no need of a room, simply a table and a drink.” The staff member said nothing more, engrossed in the work they were already doing.

Asura found a table near a group of crusaders and ordered herself a gallon of mead. Sitting down at the table she lets out a deep breath as she kicks her feet up on an opposing chair and waits for the mead. She closes her eyes a moment trying to focus in on a single conversation and drown out the background noise. Luckily for her the crusaders near by were going on about a recent patrol on the border of the Worldwound near one of the Wardstones. She let her imagination take flight as she listened to their discussion. Envisioning the valiant battle against hordes of demons, being cut down as they unsuccessfully try and overwhelm the crusaders. Moments later one of the staff brings her the mead and she happily pours a glass tossing it back before pouring another and drinking it a bit slower this time.

Fort: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Asura wakes up to another busy day in Kenabres. The air in the city has changed for the better in recent days as the festival has approached though her mood was down. With the influx of all the new people in addition to the normal routine business has been booming for Efwin and his potion business. Efwin had been a much better mood than usual, likely because of the influx of business but he never really had a way with people and his better mood didn't improve his ability to deal with the customers. As such, she has been increasingly busy managing new customers and tending to existing customers.

With all the less interesting business work consuming her time she hadn't had any opportunities to head out and try to hunt some lesser demons, thus the source of her frustrations. It didn't make matters any better with all the jovial people chatting about the festival or planning new ventures into the Worldwound. After one particularly lengthy business deal with a new to town paladin of Iomedae, needing a large supply of healing salves in preparation for his expedition, Asura had to step away from things and head to the Defender’s Heart for a drink or three. At least she could attempt to live vicariously through some of the crusaders who frequented the Inn and always boasts about their trials and tribulations.

Female Aasimar (Idyllkin) Oracle 5 |

Dot!

Roleplay:
Asura left Efwin’s shop in the early morning a large pack over her shoulders. She was coughing and sneezing, apparently coming down with a cold of some sort. She shrugged it off, Asura came down with minor colds a lot it seemed. She had a lot of errands to run before she could get to the fun stuff of trying to get some demon blood for Efwin’s research. She knew all the spots some of the lesser demons would commonly nest and was always very cautious not to get in over her head.

She walked the streets of Kenabres stopping at various churches, shops, a few private homes, and finally a select number of taverns either delivering finished alchemical products or gathering supplies or payments. Outside one particular drinking establishment she had such a sneezing fit she nearly dropped her pack, still some of the potions and supplies spilled out over the street. Luckily, Efwin always used his specially enhanced vials and containers that withstood a lot more wear than your common glass container so nothing broke. Still now she had to spend some extra time chasing after the rolling vials she lost. Great… chasing bottles eating into my demon hunting time, just what I need… with a huff of frustration she re-set the pack and went to running after the fleeing vials.

Updated profile with more in depth background, personality and appearance. Included here for easy reference.

Background:

Asura grew up in Nerosyan. Her father was a crusader who perished fighting the demons of the Worldwound. Before his passing, her father never spoke much of Asha’s mother, any mention generally met with sadness and reserve. The most she ever really knew was that her father deeply loved the woman and always referred to her as a “Blessing from the heavens” Asura grew up like many other children of the crusade, instead of toys and games there were weapons and training. While Asha knew she was different than most of the other children she was generally well liked and never had issues with others.

Upon her father’s passing she was all alone. His estate had some money but due to her unusual heritage and her slower aging the money eventually ran out and in most peoples standards she was still a child. After the money ran out she had to resort to other means to continue living. She spent several years on the streets stealing to survive and became very good at it. She was always conflicted with stealing but it was her survival at stake so she did what she had to. Eventually she fell in with a bad group of criminals who noticed her skill. While she was still not happy with the life she was leading and continued to harbor anger and resentment for the circumstances that put her there she was happy to have “friends” once again. On one of her failed heists with this group she tried to rob a grand cleric of Abadar, the groups thinking was that those of Abadar generally held great wealth and treasure. After a quick fight where the cleric dispatched the other miscreants he very easily spotted Asura’s celestial heritage and took pity on the girl, especially after learning more of her story. Taking her under his wing he taught her of Abadar and his ways. With such a rough past and the still burning hatred for the demons who took her father and put her in the situation she was in she turned Abadar's tenants to fit her own hunger for revenge against the demons and to seek out their destruction.
After some time she split ways with her mentor trying to etch out her own path. Once again in Mendev she started looking for work, something where she could use her talents, get some money and do some good. She found Efwin a well-respected alchemist who needed help with his business as well as someone with skills that fit Asura's description. Now working for the alchemist she helps him run his business as any good follower of Abadar is apt to do, while assisting him on the side in obtaining hard to find reagents and dealing with any pesky lesser demon threats Efwin doesn't have the time to bother with, a job she much preferes. She still waits for the day she can bring a serious blow to the demons and prays on the regular for that opportunity.

Appearance:
Asura is petite and extremely lithe. Her hair is a golden blonde with spots of very colorful feathers which you can’t tell if they are decoration or actually part of her hair. Her features are very sharp, and her eyes are so blue they almost seem to glow. She almost always wears her studded leather armor which is dyed a dark navy blue and can commonly be seen with her longbow.

Personality:
Asura is calm and calculating. She is nice enough to those she meets but has a hard time connecting with others and forming long term relationships, which sometimes makes her seem anti-social. In fact, she is the opposite it just requires her to really make a connection with someone. She hates all things demons and that is one of the things that really gets her blood boiling. In such cases, she can be very cold and aggressive.

No problem and good to know! I'm a Paizo purest so I never have 3PP :)

As an aside if needed for party composition I would be happy to make a cleric or oracle for healing, though I'm playing two clerics currently so I thought I would switch it up with the Inquisitor.

GM:
Background/Personality/Description update coming from me tomorrow. Updated crunch to match requirements. Are different heritages allowed?

Would like to submit Asura. Was accepted to a WotR game that stalled during a pre-game session so we didn't even start WotR. Will expand on backstory, add description and personality and update crunch to your requirements hopefully tonight.
