Ack, sudden posting spree. Sorry, I've been crashed on the couch after pulling an eleven hour shift, getting nine hours off (including the one hour travel time each way) and then doing another 12 hour shift. Death in a work colleague's family, so we were covering.
But I've had a nap and am awake now. Yay!

Clerics/Oracles are always nice, but definitely not needed. Sure, someone with Raise Dead would be nice, but hey, eventually we'll be Mythic, right?
But yes, CLW wands are going to need to be an early purchase. Or overwhelming firepower.

I'm not too worried about the healing potential -- you have no _single_ healer, but you have a ton of people with reasonable healing potential -- witch, inquisitor, paladin, bard.... only the monk and sorceress don't have access to CLW and later spells. And the bard is considering multi-classing in paladin. The only difference is that there's no spontaneous casting, so you have to decide how to pre-allocate healing. On the plus side, their no one single character that I can take out to completely cripple your healing.

One question: given that this is a virtual group of strangers (players) and I don't know what people's comfort level are...
Paizo has written several same sex couples into the story line. It doesn't bother me either way, I don't have a agenda to run and its easiest to stick with the adventure path as written, but if its going to be an issue for people, please drop me a PM and I'll adjust as needed.

The description of the spider makes me think of Aliens. Bursting BOOYAH....but impossiblesince it is dead. So curious what is going to jump out.

Yep I seems we are all mature here no issues. I was considering asking if I could give up fates favored and take rich parents being a Quadirian trade prince but I was abandoned in my backstory so that would have worked so yeah need a wand. And on buying a wand we need to get one of the first level witch spell that replinishes a spell like ability. My CLW will level with me to d8+5 at fith level so we will get more bang for our buck and it also would be like having a wand of Glitterdust as I have that as well.
And yep I will have 4 levels of Paladin. Not sure what level this one goes to. I know the first book ends you at level 6 and picking up the first mythic tier. I looked into running this for my home group. I knew the intro here but thats pretty much it. I did read the NPC backgrounds but it never panned out for me to run so I didn't want to spoil the book :)

Just wanted to ask about one of your comments Abdulz-Azim:
Given that the hall is 10' wide and you're in the hall, I'm not sure how you're thinking you can get four across, at least without squeezing. Am I missing something, did I mis-describe it?
GM_Eric
Let me just say, I'm also running this one in person with a group... getting in about 4 hours of gaming every other week, and the party is level 3 after three sessions... Definitely faster advancement than I'm used to.
GM_Eric
I haven't used any yet. None of these have been complicated, at least IMO. I will use them at times.
GM_Eric
OK weekend is over, lets see some posts :)
I'll bot anyone without orders for round two, in a couple of hours.
GM_Eric
So what's the party doing?
Sounds like Asura is ready to move on. has Meria decided if she wants to consecrate the temple? I know Baradesh has drunk a potion, is he also asking for a rest?
Baradesh Ironheart
I haven't drunk the potion. I was planning to rest to recover hit points...then realized that my group tends to use a house rule for hit point recovery by rest. So I'll probably end up drinking it anyway, unfortunately.
Since resting isn't gonna get me much in the way of hit points and we haven't used many spells yet, we could probably continue.

There is always the Treat Deadly Wounds option from the Heal skill, but it's pretty hard to do and isn't much healing.
Treat Deadly Wounds: When treating deadly wounds, you can restore hit points to a damaged creature. Treating deadly wounds restores 1 hit point per level of the creature. If you exceed the DC by 5 or more, add your Wisdom modifier (if positive) to this amount. A creature can only benefit from its deadly wounds being treated within 24 hours of being injured and never more than once per day. You must expend two uses from a healer's kit to perform this task. You take a –2 penalty on your Heal skill check for each use from the healer's kit that you lack.

When it comes time for the "more complicated" combats where I'd like to use a map. Which do people prefer:
a) roll20
b) plain images hosted somewhere and linked here
I'm also consider trying to do a variant of the plain images, but taking photos of a battlefield built with 3d terrain and minis. Using a "character's eye" camera angle. It might not work out, but I think it could give a better immersive feel.
Meria Meridoath
I can go either way. I like Roll20 since I use it every Sunday for my home game (well, it's on Roll20/Google Hangout now because of people scattered across the country, but still my home game in my heart). I also won't be able to access Roll 20 very well at work. But then Google Drive doesn't work at work very well either, really hit or miss.
Mia Rumsfield
I haven't used roll20 yet. Thusfar my viewing has been google, dropbox or ditzie.
But ill go with the majority

Well, I work nights, and had an early appointment so I stayed up most of that night, and then the kids wouldn't let me sleep. Then I had insomnia. Then I had some wierd breathing issues because England got hit by a cloud of doom dust or something. So...fun.

Its being a crazy week, sorry I've been less than clear on who was up, etc. I'll get things straightened out tonight.
Asura Vanil
Totally meant to post this up on Wed but it's been a crazy weekend. Just got back from PAX East and I am launching my digital game Kickstarter tomorrow. So going to try and catch up today but it may be as late as Wed before I have a chance to post.
Good news is after Tues (unless our Kickstarter just absolutely blows up) things will be back to normal for the forceable future and I should be back to my twice a day posting.
