This got me wondering, before the OGL, was anyone ever allowed to produce D&D compatible material? Judges Guild did for a while, but their license lapsed. Anyone else know of any 3rd party publishing for D&D before the OGL?

I hadn't gotten that far in my MM yet, but does anyone else find it ironic that on the day we see an uber restrictive GSL someone notices that WotC is using someone else's trademarked (or at least I'd assume it was trademarked) monster name in their work? :)

I'm so glad I no longer read WotC novels or any of the 4E gaming crap they've published since they've announced their conversion to their latest edition. The Forgotten Realms looks like a dragon and its treasure tash after its been slain, gutted for spell components, and looted.

It's true! RAZOR COAST is designed as a high seas and coastal campaign, with a rich setting/region, but adaptable to be dropped in other worlds with ease.

The mega-adventure itself is PACKED with side treks, adventures, and backdrops, and if you add the INDULGENCES into the mix you definitely have TONS of material for a rich campaign setting.

I purchased the indugences (all 4) when Paizo first advertised them under my alias Blue Pigeon. I figured at $2.00 a pop, why not. Didn't get to read them until last night though. Good stuff, then I discovered Sinister Adventures. Will there be right ups on Harthagoa, The Kraken-fiend and Jacob Razor, Captain of the Spectral Fleet in the near future?

Is this book a RPG Campaign setting, a module or both. I'm interested in purchasing it.

The sad thing is that despite the fau paux, these guys know the Realms, and have done a lot of work with the Realms. I still can't figure out why blowing the world up and turning it inside out was the best way to convert the Realms to 4E. Best for who? Certainly not the Realms fans that have a small library of Realms novels and sourcebooks. It just seems that everything about 4E and the Realms debacle is WotC telling us as customers what we should want instead of trying to make products that we actually want. I hope they get paid back for their arrogance tenfold.

I will not purchase FR 4Ed or any other WotC products in the near future. To me, My old FR campaigns will be hte main stream, while the "canon" FR 4Ed will likely be a parallel universe.
