Affirmative!

Now that the Lost Coast has been released, when will this model be available for individual purchase?

I imagine that only oracles will make use of Divine Protection, after all what other divine caster would have a charisma of 14+?

I too am curious.

First Owlbear wasn't too bad, the only thing that threw them for a loop was the flying. He isn't too incredibly powerful for his CR, and given a party of 5 they had no problem taking him down.

Good thing I completed my AP collection a couple months ago!

Just scanned it and didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but is there a reason the Emerald Sage is referred to as the Sage of Plagues? The two names seem to be used interchangeably.

I've found it silly that Paladins couldn't spend a standard action to smite or use lay on hands on themselves. In my home games I allow substituting a standard action for a swift.

What I did for my players was change the owlbear at the end of the second book to the first owlbear out of the Mythic Adventures book, and ascend that way. My reasoning is that the first owlbear is a creature of the first world and sent by Nyrissa to disrupt the PCs kingdom. It that's a bit though it can be given a template to weaken it or even just the sickened condition to represent its disorientation at just having arrived somewhere strange.

Hi Anon eMouse, feel free to email me at anthonyvanp@bcpfs.ca, and I'll be more than happy to help out.

Uggug, Orc Fighter lv1.

Couldn't hold his liquor and perished in a game of heave, all for 60gp.

I ran the babaus as selfish and without any use of teamwork, they are CE demons after all. One of them dispelled a spider climb a party member had because he had nothing else to do, and they only used their teleport to escape from a web spell. If there was an enemy in range of their spears, they'd go for the kill, not dispel magic a party buff.

Welcome fellow British Columbian! Glad to have you aboard.

My one gripe for this scenario was this box text:
The iron rungs descending from area B7 continue all the way from ceiling to floor, leading into a clear pool filling the bottom 10 feet of the room.

I do hope there's a ship miniature. Or three. That would be COOL!

To encourage people to GM more often I run a monthly GM Appreciation game that won't be played anywhere else in regular rotation. This month it's Day of the Demon. Next month I plan to start working through Thornkeep with my GMs. The day I offered this I had 3 people step up to GM so they could get in before the end of the month.

Please join me in welcoming our two newest Venture-Lieutenants, Dan Wilson and Steven Kimberley! They will be helping me establish new gaming groups and grow our community within the Northern British Columbia area in Canada. I look forward to many years of serving the PFS community with you!

I'll add that a Stonelord doesn't actually need Charisma for anything, as all the stuff that draws from it is replaced.

I've got a Stonelord and I love him. Just stick with a dwarven waraxe and drink potions of enlarge person, that way you get the reach. Defensive stance is a lot of fun to deploy creatively.

Some people might tell you to go with a dorn-dergar, but to use it optimally it requires 2 feats, that could be better spend on other things like combat reflexes or stand still.

Alright, another Western Canadian!

I don't know where you're seeing armour bonus, it's clearly a +1 trait bonus to your AC.

3/5

That seems right Patrick.

Which makes me wonder; what is going to happen when the new format of Modules comes out? Those are quite long, spanning multiple levels. I imagine, if they become PFS legal, that players would get more than 1 level. They'd have to, or level up during the scenario, or they'd all die...

It's a good thing my home group hasn't got to Thistletop yet!

It was a blast, if anyone gets a chance to attend, you should do so.

Is a scenario that leads to one of two other scenarios based on the outcome of the first one out of the question?

3/5

I would also like to see failure as an option for the Pathfinder Society. That and more intelligent undead such as liches and vampires. After all, the PFS wants to hoard knowledge, who else has as much as those guys?

Excellent, will the other season 4 scenarios be updated with this new cover style?

New cover styles? Will there still be a way to tell which scenarios belong to the 'plot' and which don't?

Got my case today, full set, packaging was much better, overall very happy with it. Some comments though.

First of all, the Rune Giant. It must be his pants or something, but it looks like someone forgot to paint his legs to match the rest of him. Once seen, it's really hard to ignore.

Secondly, I too was missing models. Not just one, but two! The large miniature and a smaller one from the same box. Still managed to get the whole set though.

Thirdly, the rarity as mentioned, is slightly off. I've got more uncommons than commons, which leads me to think there's no difference. I don't know what the fix is for it, but perhaps more models need to be moved to the rare category. Or even make a fourth, super rare.

I look forward to seeing what you do with the next set, I really can't imagine the quality getting that much better as it's already absolutely amazing for prepainted plastic models.

I'd like to make a suggestion: change the name. I think that 'Mythic Rulebook' would suit it better, as then it sort of parallels the Core Rulebook.

Edit: Unless of course the 'Adventures' part is the beginning of a new line of products.

Perfect. That's what I did.

I really dislike the idea of "reporting" about GMs.

I'm not saying that because I GM, but because being a GM in Pathfinder Society is a volunteer job - yes you're getting rewards for running a game, but it's still you giving up your time pre-game and during-game to read over a scenario (which is then more difficult to play in yourself since you know what it is), prepare for it, draw maps, fill out paperwork, etc. I'm not trying to suggest that it's a difficult job per se, but it is "work" that GMs do, and get nothing more than what players get for participating in it.

That being said, if it turns out that I'm in the minority and people feel there *must* be some way to report things about GMs, I think the best method would be something qualitative, not quantitative - no ratings systems, no 3/5 or 7/10 scores, no numbers. The point of "reporting" a GM, good or bad, should be to give creative criticism and give GMs feedback so they can assess their style vs those of the players they interact with.

Minus the "scoring system", a setup like "rate my professor" for college instructors would be ideal - players "log in" with their PFS number and event code, post what scenario they played in and the GM's PFS number and detail their experience. The GMs get the feedback anonymously without an event code or ID from a player, so all they know is that someone they actually ran game for said X, and they can use that to learn from, or not, as they wish.

No matter what though, I do not think that "public rating/ranking/scoring" of GMs is a good idea, and runs the risk of causing people who volunteer their time to GM now to do so less and less, which hurts the organization as a whole.

I agree with this. Feedback should go to GMs so they can improve their game. Questions like: What was one thing your GM did best? What was one thing they could change or improve upon? GMs can choose to ignore it (which is fine, they just won't grow or improve) or they can act upon it.

If a GM really doesn't seem to know what he's doing, then instead of taking the time to write up a report about it, message them and let them know what you thought or give them some pointers to make their next game better. Sometimes it's just an error in communication.
