Abbas raises his quarterstaff higher, spreading the pool of golden torchlight to its widest. Just so he can see better.

The holy warrior squints up into the sharp stalactites and scans around the blunt stalagmites looking for an ambush. After Elinor's whistle they should have had plenty of time to prepare a good one.

Even so, he grins a brilliant smile at her quip to Pluchak, all perfect white teeth and handsome heroic looks.

O me miseram! Et tu Narnel??

Abbas takes a book on Aroden to practise his letters and words. He tries to find a pretty one with illuminated text and even the odd picture.

He tucks it away for later and puts a gold coin down to pay for it. Then the simple man leaves. Happy.

Abbas stands next to Taedric and provides light, waiting for the party to decide on a route. He opens his mouth to voice an opinion then shuts it again.

Don't even know why we come here? Best be quiet and let the cleverer ones be cleverer than me. Da said I missed so much a ship could sail between my ears. And he was always right.

My son is sick and off school so posting is a bit variable. Move on without waiting for Abbas please.

No worries. I enjoyed this series of Games of Thrones more and more as it went on.

Some superb moments. Makes we want to attempt the books again just to see where the divergences are.

Abbas stands beside Ellie and raises his staff. "Lets leave."

Abbas returns to the pit as people get ready to leave. He looks down at the ragged mess with an arrow in the chest and another in the neck.

Words fail him as he rejoins the rest and heads on, his quarterstaff strangely dimmed.

Do you want someone to go down and break his other leg, Narnel? That should help a bit.

Abbas coils the rope as he walks away from the killers, a little sadly. The man puts a hand on the wall and rests there while the execution is finished.

.. after a few more stubborn moments of the goblin eyeballing Abbas, the warrior starts to retract the rope.

"He has words in him to tell us what is happening, I think. Killing this one is bad but I know his kind deserve this."

"Can you speak goblin words?" Abbas asks around.

"Oy, grab it goblin, grab it."

Abbas throws down a rope end and motions for the goblin to come up. "We can talk to him with broken leg? Not dangerous" The holy warrior gives Pluchak and Taedric an honest smile of total confidence.

Abbas goes left. He acts like a scout except everyone knows his senses are not so good. The man hugs one wall and then the other a bit like Narnel but the chainmail slightly spoils the effect.

Harlynne is worth two.

Abbas sniffs at the left then lifts his holy staff to light the way ahead. He has shown everyone the collected items but when no one is interested, the warrior picks up the spoon and leaves.

Abbas nods at the words of the lizardfolk and starts to sweep the area, slowly searching the nooks and crannies of the walls for a means of egress.

He is not good at this but given time even a man like him can get something. He whistles under his breath as he works.

Abbas clasps the shoulder of Aidan and then Seneca. He points down, "you take the cat too? Churzan is good warrior, will help you lots. Will keep you safe."

The holy warrior helps Hislev down.

"No. I helped. Harlynn burnt it with fire. We just hit it a bit. It was not hard when she uses magic." Abbas points away and down towards the alabaster-skinned woman.

"Look Seneca can make you better. Much better. Then you can rest. You got name please? I am Abbas. This is Taedric and Ellie."

Abbas reaches forward and grabs his shoulder to shake him awake a little. Gentle at first the man whistles as well to help.

Abbas gives a sharp intake of breath when the smell reaches his nose and Ellie reacts.

Abbas gives Bryndyn a slow wink. And a grin. Then he tries to help Pluchak with the cage.

Strength check 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Abbas shakes his head and comes closer, right next to the slim Harlynn. His eyes narrow as he tests the colour of this prisoner, fully expecting it to be nice and in need of help.

"I not want you hurt. But she made dogs with big teeth that ripped up lots of goblins. Just thought you would want to know."

Abbas is more than a bit nervous in this strange place. He stays behind Pluchak and wanders about to see what is around. The warrior tries not to touch anything.

Abbas helps provide shadows for Narnel by advancing from the rear his staff of light up above like a highly held torch.

When the work is done and the water flows a little better, Abbas shrugs to himself and lays a hand on the spout. He murmurs a few little words to help it get better some more.

"Don't worry little waterfall. You can be clean and happy now.

Abbas helps the lizardman, not sure why but sure that it is a good thing to do. He makes a neat pile of vegetation next to stones and pebbles and puts mud on the other side.

His mouth shuts like a trap, he looks a little sheepish for a second, a little boy with his hand in the biscuit barrel.

Abbas tests the water for its goodness, before he takes a sip. The warrior seems to be entranced by the moment and so falls behind the scouts.

Sigil who?

Lets get this show on the ..... road. quick before Ellie proposes to Abbas an makes him blush.

Abbas touches the fountainhead, wiping away the dirt and grey-green mould.

"Abbas not got all this down pat but corrupting sounds wrong. Like sour milk?" Unable to keep up with the conversation and decide his own movements, the brawny warrior trots along with Ellie.

He smiles at Taedric, "you kill goblins good. You like paladin too."

"Why paladin stop you fighting goblins? Thought paladins are good warriors. Like Pluchak and you?" Abbas frowns as he remembers the words of Taedric earlier.

"I never met paladin. Like to meet one one day."

Gods, I enjoyed writing that. Seneca and Aidan can go in the third rank if you like.

Sounds good to Abbas and me.

Abbas does the same from the other side with a low chuckle, "told you! It good to have you with us, Pluchak. Very good when troll visits."

His staff lights and dims as the holy warrior laughs out loud.

"We did well."

Abbas steps forwards to join the troll fight, despite the previous arguments of Elinor and again goes for the creature's knees.

Two handed power attack and discharge the spell instrument of agony 1d20 + 7 - 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 7 - 2 + 1 + 1 = 17, damage 1d6 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 1 = 14, plus Will save DC17 or be nauseated for 1d4+1 rounds.

The golden light returns as Seneca's spell impacts and begins to infect the monstrous troll.

Abbas begins a sudden routine of left and right staff strikes building up speed until he goes for the goblins forehead and then the next one.

Left strike 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22, damage 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10, right strike 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18, damage 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9, AC 20 now

Perception check: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16

As the first goblin comes round the corner, Abbas swings his staff horizontally at its forehead. Iron collar aimed between the eyes.

Power attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11, damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

But this one is shorter and fatter. Swish!

We still are blessed, +1 to hit and save vs. fear.

Abbas steps into the corner out of sight but ready as a bulwark. His staff is dimmed for a moment. Then prepares to receive the charge.

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

Abbas ponders the others words and then at a convenient moment compliments Harlynn for the dogs. He frowns after like someone thinking hard but gives up and returns to a serene look of confidence again.

Seneca looks around to see who is wounded and how bad.

Abbas congratulates Taedric for the fight, " good dogs. Where they come from? I keep asking that but in my head. Now I like to know."

Taedric if memory serves.

Forgot myself but remember that we are blessed. For now Seneca will save his spells and ready to cure anyone that falls. DMB

Abbas hits down hard with the golden shod tip aimed at the goblin's head.

2 handed attack with power attack 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 7 - 1 = 18, damage 1d6 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 3 = 9

Abbas moves up to the dogs, his quarterstaff raised and readies an attack for whenever

Abbas runs forwards (and Seneca on his go too).

Sixty feet plus the original twenty should get him nearer the action

"Keep up!"

"What is reinforcements? Is like a mage or dogs, Ellie?"
