Nice summation, if we drop back we all have to and its one of the hardest things to do. I waited because I half expect people to bomb-burst and Abbas is not the sort to order folks in combat.

Male Half Orc Bloodrager (Rageshaper, Draconic) 4 (HP 35/40, AC 20/T10/FF 20, CMD 16, F 6, R 1, W 2, Perception +7, Init +0)

Well, if Abbas were to say something, Pluchak would listen. The two of them have always gotten along well. Without such an order, he'll double move up.

Pluchak advances, although not recklessly. He searches them out in the dark and ends up snarling at the scent of his hated foe.

As Pluchak moves up, Bryndyn accompanies him.

Abbas follows with Seneca waiting.

Abbas forms up on the second rank fully expecting the goblins to get beaten on.

F Human Fighter 2/Bard 2 (HP32/32 AC 27 Ft+4 Rf+4 Wl+3 Pcp +7)

Elinor's at the back of the initiative tree and won't get to go till after the foe, but she's one for taking the fight to the enemy.

FYI - Sigil and his family are battling the proverbial flu plague right now and he has asked me to step in and run this combat. I will provide a GM response later tonight after I get back from an appointment (after work). If anyone has any comments, additions to their actions, now is the time for updates. As far as I know, several folks are rushing forward toward the goblins, a second rank is forming as well.

Dark Archive

K'uhulajaw, Init +5, AC20/13/17, Hits 24/24, Perception -1

Great.

Pluchak and Bryndyn move forward as Abbas slides into ranks behind them, along with Harlynn. she's ready, but letting the lads form the front ranks. In the distance, the goblins titter again, their amusement is laced with anxiety and perhaps fear. Two arrows come out of the darkness and they retreat, the metal on their shoes scrapping the stone floor.

Bryndyn and Pluchak are attacked.

On Bryndyn 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 If Hit 1d6 ⇒ 6
On Pluchak 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 If Hit 1d6 ⇒ 5

This annoyance goads the warriors onward and they take two more steps and run into a trip cord along the base of the floor.

I need Bryndyn and Pluchak to give me a reflex saving throw.

The goblins have acted - follow initiative order after their position.

The Exchange

Male Lizardfolk Lizardfolk 1/Ranger 3;AC: 20, T:11, FF: 20; HP 49/49; F:+9, R+4, W: +1, Init + 1; Perc+8 (add +2 terrain +2 undead)

Bryndyn's Reflex Roll

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Bryndyn is missed (barely) and avoids tripping.

Male Half Orc Bloodrager (Rageshaper, Draconic) 4 (HP 35/40, AC 20/T10/FF 20, CMD 16, F 6, R 1, W 2, Perception +7, Init +0)

Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Pluchak is advancing down the hall when the two of them have arrows come in. The large half-orc takes one in the shoulder barely flinching at the pain, but even that distracts him enough to not notice the tripline down at his feet. He sprawls onto the ground.

He growls a bit as he gets back to his feet. These kinds of things made it very easy to hate goblins. He could almost taste their fear though, and that made him smile in a incredibly scary way.

Where's the tripline? I need to know so I can figure out what my options are.

Let's say along the S line.

Female Human (HP 18/18, AC 13/T12/FF 11, CMD 13, F 1, R 5, W 5, Perception +3, Init +2)

Harlynne watches one of her allies trip in front of her and during her action she will begin summoning.

Abbas - if you want to do something more, you can.

Elinor, the goblins have done their initiative (some arrows and retreated). They each moved 6 squares directly backward.

F Human Fighter 2/Bard 2 (HP32/32 AC 27 Ft+4 Rf+4 Wl+3 Pcp +7)

Apologies, I've only just realised a map was sent out and haven't had the energy to concentrate on working out where I was or what I was doing. Elinor will try to cast expiditious retreat and single move forwards.

spell failure: 1d100 ⇒ 82 Success.

Moves 50' or thereabouts. Recall also she has cast light on her sword so can see where she's going and everyone can see where she is.

Elinor moves past Bryndyn, who has stopped for a moment to help Pluchak get up, and takes point 50' toward the goblins. She easily avoids the first, and the second trip line, pointing the new one out to the others.

When she stops, she's about 70 feet away from the first goblins, who had retreated 30'.

She can see them in the light, mishappen heads bobbing up and down as they brandished rusty weapons at her.

Elinor, give me a perception check when you get a chance.

Narnel is next, then Taedric.

(Who am I missing from an intiative perspective?)

I didn't get a map? Can you send mea copy please.

Abbas - will do...but after work :( FYI - you started 10 feet behind Elinor, who moved 50' feet forward and stopped 70' feet away from the Goblins who's first action was to retreat 30 feet.

F Human Fighter 2/Bard 2 (HP32/32 AC 27 Ft+4 Rf+4 Wl+3 Pcp +7)

"Come back and die like rats you miserable little toads!"

Elinor's grasp of biology clearly a bit suspect.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

For Elinor

Spoiler:
Elinor, you see that one of the rear Goblins looks back around the corner.

Dark Archive

Abbas moves up with his quarterstaff raised high so that the torchlight spreads farthest. He moves twenty feet. On his go, Seneca follows up and casts bless over the most he can. It spreads sixty feet away from his position by Abbas.

Initiative order Abbas, Harlynn, Pluchak, Bryndyn, Aidan, goblins, Elinor, Narnel, Seneca, Taedric.

I will send a note out prompting moves for Narnel and Taedric

Seneca's bless can affect everyone. He'll wait as folks shift to make sure everyone is in range. Everyone - Apply the affects on your turns.

Male Wood Elf Kensei Monk 7; AC 16 (18-melee Kensei), HP 5/52, Str +3, Dex +7, Con +2, Int +1, Wis +2 Cha -1, Perc +5, Acro +7, Athl +3/+6, Stealth +6, Ki 1/7, (DC 13)

Taedric lowers his lance and charges forward, spurring Trumps to full speed as he runs down one of the front-rank goblins.

Trumps moves 50' and can double-move on a charge -- should be able to hit the goblins, even after they retreated -- especially with reach from the lance.

Cavalier's Charge: 1d20 + 7 + 4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 4 + 1 + 1 = 22 for 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2, 2) + 6 = 13

"What is reinforcements? Is like a mage or dogs, Ellie?"

Taedric spurs Trumps on, not hearing Elinor's warning that the goblins have something up their sleeve.

Taedric's charge catches the nearest one between the shoulder blades, skewering him even as it tried to turn back and grin.

The charge brought the valiant Gnome nearer to the corner where he can make out something in the shadows.

For Taedric

Spoiler:
You do, in fact, see many goblins, in a line of five, two ranks deep. Most of the goblins who had been before you have found their way into the formation.

Narnel, Taedric has killed your original Target.

Dark Archive

K'uhulajaw, Init +5, AC20/13/17, Hits 24/24, Perception -1

Abbas runs forwards (and Seneca on his go too).

Sixty feet plus the original twenty should get him nearer the action

"Keep up!"

For ease, I'm moving Seneca's initiative to yours. (He delays a half moment).

Taedric's mount stops as the Gnome scrapes the dead goblin from his lance. Narnel grimaces as his target is slain, getting ready to attack another. Elinor has stopped, noticing that the goblins were worried about something around the corner and it's clear Taedric sees something from his near vantage point. Seneca and Abbas move forward, providing additional support to Taedric and Elinor.

Initiative order Abbas, Harlynn, Pluchak, Bryndyn, Aidan, goblins, Elinor, Narnel, Seneca, Taedric.

Harlynn is up. She was summoning. Pluchak and Bryndyn are next in line.

Note - the trip wire is not going to affect anyone else...it was found and pointed out.

Male Half Orc Bloodrager (Rageshaper, Draconic) 4 (HP 35/40, AC 20/T10/FF 20, CMD 16, F 6, R 1, W 2, Perception +7, Init +0)

Pluchak gets to his feet and storms down the hall, his teeth glistening with acid. If these goblins wanted a fight, he'd give them one.

I'm guessing that he'll have to double move to get in melee. He's not going to charge with trip lines in the way though.

Bryndyn rushes forward with Pluchak, stopping near Taedric and Elinor and Abbas. Together, they form a strong line. From around the corner, they can hear a large group moving toward them.

Harlynn - giving you a chance to give your turn before the goblins move. You can see a straggler as he moves to join the larger group around the corner.

Female Human (HP 18/18, AC 13/T12/FF 11, CMD 13, F 1, R 5, W 5, Perception +3, Init +2)

Summoning 1d3 ⇒ 3 Celestial Dogs to attack.

The situation is this...

coming around the corner is 5 more goblins, who were joined by most of the initial goblins, making a total of 11.

They have formed 4 ranks, with the back rank being light by 1.

Your party has also inadvertanly formed ranks, with Taedric in front, Abbas and Pluchak flanking, Elinor, Senica and Bryndyn in the second rank.

Running up from where Harlynn stands are 3 Celestial Dogs.

The Goblins advance to witin 20 feet of you, stop and let fly a barrage of arrows. (2 ranks attack, 1 on each of parties 2 ranks)

Attacking

Taedric 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 if hit 1d6 ⇒ 2
Abbas 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 if hit 1d6 ⇒ 1
Pluchak 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 if hit 1d6 ⇒ 4
Bryndyn 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 if hit 1d6 ⇒ 4
Elinor 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 if hit 1d6 ⇒ 6
Seneca 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 if hit 1d6 ⇒ 1

If the dogs go before the goblins, they will run past the party and attack AS the arrows from the goblins are loosed. Go ahead and roll their attacks.

Elinor, Narnel, Taedric are up.

Sadly, I think I have to ask you to make the confirm roll against Taedric there.

F Human Fighter 2/Bard 2 (HP32/32 AC 27 Ft+4 Rf+4 Wl+3 Pcp +7)

"This can't be it, even these rat-turds can't be stupid enough to think they can win."

Elinor strides through the hail of arrows up to the first rank of goblins and slices down with her grandfather's sword, her concern for what the goblins have planned distracting her aim.

Confirm on Taedric

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 and the extra damage if crit 1d6 ⇒ 2

Elinor wades forward, but misses. The Gobins first ranks drop their bows and pull out viscious looking (albeit rusted) short swords.

With reach from the lance, can Taedric still strike the first rank of goblins "over" the dogs?

Female Human (HP 18/18, AC 13/T12/FF 11, CMD 13, F 1, R 5, W 5, Perception +3, Init +2)

It would seeem, all bark no bite.

Taedric - Yes...

The Celestrial Dogs, Rush ahead of the group and drive into the goblin ranks. They are snapping and biting everywhere. This attack seems to surprise the goblins and send them into a bit of disarray. Each goblin in the front two ranks starts to shift and weave in an effort to avoid the dogs. They are successful, but their formidable (looking) rank and file formation is now disorganized and not ready for the party's attacks.

For this round only, +2 for everyone to hit as the goblins are distracted and trying to work in a formation that isn't normal. You can tell it will be pel-mel melee very soon

Narnel, Taedric, Abbas. Harylnn - did you have to give up your action to control the dogs?

Female Human (HP 18/18, AC 13/T12/FF 11, CMD 13, F 1, R 5, W 5, Perception +3, Init +2)

No, they move to attack my enemies, no other action is needed other than the full round to summon. if needs be peeps, I can summon more.

Add Dam: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (6, 6) + 2 = 14

Harlynn - as I thought, so you have an action

Narnel's first target was slain by Taedrics heroic charge. As that goblin slid off the lance of his ally, Narnel refocused, found a goblin in the front rank and concentrated. Unfased by the goblins sporadic motions in avoiding the dogs, Narnel let fly his arrow, watching in satisfaction as it caught the goblin in the back of the mouth, exploding out the other side. In a moment, there are only 9 goblins left.

Taedric rushes forward again, taunting the goblins, "Nice of you to make room for me to charge." as he lowers his lance to skewer the leftmost goblin.

Charge: 1d20 + 7 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 4 + 1 = 21 (+4 Cavalier's Charge; +1 hatred) for 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 6, 5) + 6 = 23
