Why cannons? WHY NOT CANNONS! MWAHAHAHA! Awsome flip mat!
I understand that a lot of people are using gunpowder rules with their STAP. However, adding such non-typical fantasy elements seems to narrow your audience.
I have the very cool Ravaged Pride so I'm good!

I think AvatarArt's idea is great. Make serveral ship templates out of this material. I've custom made several wooden templates for our ocean adventures but can't match the details on the flip maps.
You could package them like WoC tiles or in a book form. Just punch out the pieces you need. Main ship pieces plus accessories.

When Will This product be available again?
They do not typically reprint Flip-Mats.
In January, however, they are scheduled to release the Pirate Ship.
There is also a Boats & Ships Map Pack available.

Paizo also sells the Gamescape ship map.
The Gamescape maps are like the Gamemastery maps. I have both and they're nice to use together for two ships for a naval battle.

Go to Lowe's or similar store & purchase a large piece of plexiglass {make sure it fits your table size as well or the edges will break off. It CAN be cut down to size if needed so take measurements to the store when you go. {We use one 8' & one 6' table**} This fits over the maps & allows figures to roam without fear of folds, figures dropping over or marking your maps!
Also, get a rolling hex or square mat depending upon your play habits {these are generally NOT plastic}, usually from a gaming or hobby/art store to go under it all with some dry erase markers for the plexiglass. When a map is not used it makes it easy for quick rough terrain, draw as you go dungeons or linking tiles, etc.
Download PosteRazor, or similar, to turn many formats of picts into custom sized printouts! I took the town of Ravengro {Carrion Crown Adventure Path} & made it into a HUGE 4'x4' playing map where I simply trimmed the individual page edges & taped them together. The program has customizable overlay printing for proper fitting! The map rolls up nicely & has been invaluable in the campaign. Did the same with the town square, just not quite as large.
With PosteRazor JPEG's work best, so you might need to save a pdf or portion of the file as a jpeg for this program to work right. You can also do poster printing from MSWORD. There's instructions online for that.
Crosspost this where anyone sees fit!
Good gaming all! The 5 players {including my wife} begin exploring the Harrowstone Prison tomorrow! At 4th level, they MIGHT actually survive....

**= The 8' & 6' tables are butted side by side with one end straight leaving one end with a "cut-out". Two at the straight side, 3 along the front & one in the "niche" with the GM on the back-side of the 8' table. There's also a 3' x 3' card table to each side of the GM giving plenty of space for info, figures, maps, books & snacks!!!!!

Has something changed about how the newly released backlog of Flip-Mat PDFs were processed?
I just purchased Ship, and while it looks fine in Fox-It (i.e. the same as my hard copy), when I export it using PDF Image Extract 1.5, the resulting image is so dark as to be unusable. It's like the contrast and saturation are both getting maxed out. I've tried png, jpg 70/100, bmp, and tiff all with the same result.
To ensure that it wasn't just a botch on my part, I retried the export with the Tavern and it looks the same as in Fox-It.
Here's an example of what I'm talking about...

It could be that PDF Image Extract doesn't like the color space the PDF is in. I'll take a look and see what can be done.

I'd appreciate it. I've been using that app specifically for Paizo PDFs for a couple years now and this is the first time I've run into this issue. I don't mind using another app (if you know of one that works better), but I know that I'm not the only GM/player who uses it for this purpose.
Product Suggestion: Releasing the maps in PNG/JPEG format would probably work better for many subscribers. MapTool cannot load PDFs meaning it is always necessary to export the images prior to using the product. If the downloads page displayed links to download either the PDF or the PNGs, that would be a nice time-saver.

Sorry everyone, been out of it for some ugly back surgery - will get some picts for you this week! Also a great online place I picked up an 8' "fold in the middle" polymer table with a handle for only $79 with shipping included!!!! {I'll get you the code for the shipping & pricing if they are still good}.
The smaller tab le can be found at any wal-mart/lowes or online, just look for a sale and maybe a coupon.
Thanks for all YOUR help & comments making our gaming better & better!
