I believe I need to say this again as people are still talking about the side pieces so much. There are some very easy to use molds that you can buy that will satisfy these needs.
http://www.hirstarts.com/
Check this site out for some of these. You can just use plaster and you can make chairs, beds, whatever... depending on the mold.
These items just don't seem that financially viable for Paizo to make a profit on.
Dotting for my retirement... a loooong time from now, but still... that looks amazing greatbub!
In the meantime, I'm wondering if Paizo will end up producing a booster that's comprised entirely of furniture and dungeon dressing. I would actually go for that. There will be the rare pieces that everyone wants, but at least you'll end up with lots of common items if you don't get those (i.e. you'll have lots of barrels, chairs, tables, etc.) which is great: if you think about it, there are a lot of people who have bought D&D minis for years, then switched to Pathfinder mini... the results: lots of people like myself have tons of minis (more than I have space for it). At this point in my life, while I still like to get the odd monster booster once in a while, I'm nearing 'market saturation' for minis, and the only thing that would make me go nuts and buy a whole brick or case would be a set comprised entirely of furniture and dungeon dressing.

Yeah, i think there are quite some people that will try to make their own dressing pieces, so thank you for posting the link, greatbub.
Unfortunately, i'm also not that kind of person and like Berk and Kalindlara i prefer prepainted dressing/minis.
That said, i could imagine a series of blind booster dressing pieces like Purple Dragon Knight suggests, but imagine such a thing would work best if done like the "We be Goblin" or "Undead Horde" displays.
Chairs would be "common" (obviously they are lots needed), beds or tables "uncommon" and things like a grandfather clock would be "rare".
But that probably won't happen.
What i don't understand is: why are the dressing pieces from older sets not collected into a boxed set?
Also: There was supposed to be a third unpainted line besides "Nolzur" & "Rough Cuts" in january 2017 with "primed" (mono-colored) dressing pieces from Wizkids.

Good news:
Sara Marie from customer service wrote that single miniatures for Deadly Foes will be available from november 23rd - december 31st 2016.
http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2tzum?November-2016-Pathfinder-Battles-Release
You can see it in post #12.
Also my local flagstore owner texted me that he will receive 3 bricks plus the case incentive for me today (tuesday 22nd of november).
As soon as i have them, i can answer questions and post a set list.
Unfortunately i won´t get a whole case, but i should get all commons and uncommons, which is the most important thing to me, as they are the Bestiary monsters i´m still missing.
I hope to get the "Shadow Giant" and "Keketar Protean", as i already have a Pit Fiend and Sphinx from D&D.
Also "Hellgate" and "Chandelier" would be nice but are not absolutely necessary.

(Hopefully these numbers are of interest to someone.)
My luck with the dungeon dressing continues to be excellent. One of each, plus a second Arcane Pillar and Candelabra - the best ones to have two of!
Only one broken piece - a Hellcat missing its lower jaw. NBD.
I'm a bit disappointed in the Medium-size two-ofs, as those were both ones I wanted lots of. I guess I'll be hitting the singles. ^_^
Speaking of singles - Mr. Mona, is there any chance of the convention repaints hitting the store soon? I'd like to get those and my Deadly Foes singles in one order, if I could...

Some follow-up thoughts:
-The Giant Eagles are on DDM-style, unassembled flight sticks. They don't feel entirely well-fitted, so I might end up supergluing them in.
-The Pit Devil is enormous. One wing is a separate piece to get it in the box.
-The miniature quality this set seems generally excellent. Paint jobs are good, construction is solid... good stuff all around.

any chance of two more hobgoblins in the near future? Say the commander that looks pseudo samurai and a melee weapon common to complement the archer? I think these would round out the hobs well, perhaps the commander can be the one in the AP coming up?
As for buying singles of the dressing pieces. Try it being in Australia, by the time I get up in the morning they've usually been on sale for a few hours and consequently gone! I got a restock/Wishlist email from auggies and checked it as soon as I awoke - sadly all gone
:(. Hope he restocks again?

I guess we won't get a blog on friday due to Paizo being closed over Thanksgiving, which is totally understandable and deserved.
I have been a little sick but am better now and hope to review all Deadly Foes minis today.
I wish all of you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving - have fun with your family and your minis!
Marco

I counted 3 times and your numbers only add up to 127 - either you forgot one mini or you are one mini short in your case. ;-)

![]() |

I´m just opening my case (got one after all) and thought i´d let you know that the "Cage" dressing piece (which is the large mini inside the booster) opens up nicely - you can remove the bottom and click it back into place just fine.
It fits a medium base exactly.
Maybe Erik had one that was glued into place?
The "Arcane Pillar" replaces a medium mini inside a booster.
More shortly. ;-)

![]() |

No missing minis (this time), so I likely forgot one - I was hardly being careful with my counts. Maybe one of the Large ones?
I had only 2 Erinyes and 2 Bearded Devils in my case, just like you.
Also only 2 Celestial Trumpeter minis. My dressing pieces:
2 Arcane Pillars,
1 Book of the Damned
2 Cages (the best imo)
1 Chandelier
2 Rope Tricks (the only one i could do without, as it is really flimsy and a mini put on top doesn´t stay on really long, sorry Erik)
Unfortunately i got no Hellgate.
Also no Jilia Bainilus.
Breakage: one Ankhrav Drone broke off it´s peg, but that is easily fixed.

![]() |

Two Erinyes is probably plenty, but I've used five Bearded Devils in a single encounter before. I'm sorrynto hear you kissed out on a few pieces, Marco. Did you get a sealed case or was it four loose bricks?
I would have liked 3 Erinyes, as they are normally encountered solo or in a trio - at least that´s what the Bestiary says.
I also remember that´s the case in the "Daughters of Fury" module.Of course Queen Illeosa has 4 Furies! ;-)
It was 4 "loose" Bricks actually, but they have been in a case before, if i remember correctly.
No matter, i will probably just open some more boosters next week.
I´m gonna rate some of the minis now, the rest tonight.

I opened my case yesterday, though I don't have the count with me, I was lucky enough to have them all. I'm pretty sure I got 2 pillars and candlabras.
What I was happy is the 4 giant eagles and the small army of hobgoblin. Now just need some sort of hobgoblin boss to lead them.
The Fire Diabolist was everything I was hoping for. He will make a great villain. However, the Pathfinder Society Leader didn't have the greatest paint job, at least the one I got.
The Torrent Hellknights is another that impressed me. I like the metallic feel of the paint job on the armor.

![]() |

Yes, I hope we get many more hobgoblins in the same style as these. As a humanoid race, I can use all sorts of classes and we'll need some elites / leaders to boot.
I certainly agree with you Berk, on that we need a Hobgoblin leader mini and was a little sad that we havn´t got the "Samurai" from the Monster Codex.
Also the Hobgoblin riding a Aurochs (or that beast beginning with a Y - i think) would be great. As Pathfinder Hobgoblins go, i think they don´t like arcane magic.
Thx for your great pictures on www.plasticrypt.com, they are the best ones on the net imo!

Got at least one of everything - 2 rope tricks which is a little odd but also two pillars, which is more useful.
I really like the keketar protean and the pit fiend. It's great to have a giant crab and cave fisher too.
I'm glad you have a complete set, Steve.
I now have rated 25 of 50 minis in-depth and the standout minis for me are:
-Lemure
-Giant Crab
-Celestial Trumpeter
-Erinyes
-Torrent Hellknight
-Giant Eagle
-Technic League Captain
-Gynosphinx
-Shadow Giant
-Pit Devil
-Cage
What do you like best?

![]() |

I like the pit fiend and protean best. I think the dungeon dressing is pretty good quality. Shensen too.
Personally i would have liked the Protean to be a little larger.
I'm also not sure if i wouldn't prefer the original orange and white design with the glowing headpiece over this one.The Reaper Metal version looks great.
Maybe we will get that too one day?

![]() |

I know what you mean with "oversized" larges - looking at you Pit Devil and Shadow Giant. ;-)
There is a fine line between appropriately sized in comparison with human-sized mediums and impressive enough.
Berk the Black makes the best comparison pictures i could find:
You can see that the Protean is only slightly larger than the Technic League Captain and that the Giant Eagle is only slightly smaller than the huge Rock here:

I notice that the PF Minis site shows 2 more promo figures at the top (Wikkkawak and Kobold Devilspeaker) from GenCon 2016 - will those eventually be made available as well or were they made in small quantities and all were given out?

Berk the Black |

Here's a better Plasticrypt Deadly Foes Link. Lots of comparison pics between the new Deadly Foes minis and previous sets.

DropBearHunter |

The new Giant Eagles look kind of hilarious next to the old DDM ones. ^_^
...in fact, now that I think of it, they're almost as big (or bigger than) the DDM Roc. And they're bigger than the Huge Black Dragon from Heroes and Monsters.
There was a huge black dragon?
If they ever make a huge black dragon, I hope it comes together with an empty medium black dragon base. ..

This is something that concerns me as well.

Consistency of size is a real issue for me as well. The cave giant looks cool, but isn't much bigger than a jumbo orc. Remember how long it took us to get a right-sized troll? I end up re-basing A LOT of my minis onto bases appropriate for their sizes.
