Are the Paizo polos blue or purplish-blue or blueish-purple?

See, this will happen if you use confusing colors, Sara Marie. Why don't you guys use the colors of majestic Cheliax: red and black? Red is red and black is black; no need to argue anymore, right?

The Exchange

It looks like a royal blue which is a deep blue, with a purple tinge.

I have to agree with the other Purple people: the whole brand consistency thing. But until then, I'm calling your shirts 'Blue Dragon Blue.'

Obviously the purple threads woven into the otherwise blue fabric are (un)organic material from some form of undead, and do not photograph. That's why the shirts appear to be a mixed tone when viewed with living eyes, but straight blue in photos.

I call this color "undead ultramarine."

difficult to judge

Blue or maybe Indigo. Not Purple, or at least very little purple.

Blurple.

"What is Light Urple?"

Isn't it obvious that this colour is Indigo?????

I've seen the shirts in person quite a few times and it looks just straight blue to me. Scratching my head on why people are seeing any purple.

But then maybe I'm just color blind.

Maybe, but indigo is one of those colors that has is even less consensus on what it is than most. Part of that is because of confusion in the rainbow spectrum of colors where cyan was confused with blue and what should have been considered blue was called indigo. It doesn't help that the range of colors in the gradient from blue to magenta blends in better on a color spectrum for our eyes than other colors in the spectrum do.

The shirts do look relatively close to what some of the old indigo dyes might produce if much more vibrant, and less dark. I'm sure the color was much less standardized back when the dye was used and it ended up being different depending on different factors in the plant and dying process.

I vote Plaid!

I work retail and shirts this color are always billed as "Royal Blue".

Is your blue the same as my blue?

Well to give a better analysis of the color I would need you to send me one. Pictures are notoriously unreliable......

With that said from the picture I would say blue.

It makes sense... of all of the Lantern Corps, the Indigo Corps was the strangest. They would talk in a language that even a Green Lantern's ring could not translate.

They look just straight Royal Blue to me (which, honestly, I could accept as being described as bright blue with just a hint of purple to it) which is my favorite shade of my favorite color. Sky Blue would be lighter, and Indigo would be much, much darker, like old-school farmer blue jeans.

Seriously, those shirts are a gorgeous color.

Are the folks in the photo embodying Hope or Compassion? If it's Hope than it's Blue, if it's Compassion they're Indigo. Or if they go around saying "Nok" a lot.

They're blueish-red.....

At least one of those shirts may actually be a Hooloovoo.

Vic, are you aware of Shada? If not, you should hunt the book down and read it. If necessary I'll explain why but... Douglas Adams, Doctor Who, and "excellent" are about what you need to know.

Ahem.

It's Deep Electric Blue (sometimes also called French Electric Blue)

Bordering on Electric Indigo
