TULSA!
MY old stomping grounds!
I have since been hijacked, er, married, and moved to LOUSY-anna, but I still love the OKIE countryside! (MAN I miss actually having seasons!)
Best of luck! I'm off to try and get a couple of hours sleep before 'The Day Of The Big Announcement!'
Best of luck to all!

Pleasantly surprised to see fellow Sooner fans hereabouts.
For some reason, it seems to me that fans are vocal within the state, but not so much once they move away.
Of course, it could just be that I live in Austin, so it's unwise to voice my college sports preferences when surrounded by 50,000+ rabid haters of my school...
We need a secret club inside of Paizo.com for the Underground Sooner Supporters ... or something.

Ragadolf wrote:(MAN I miss actually having seasons!)Yeah, but do you miss cycling through three seasons in a single day? :)
Heheh, Believe it or not, actually, yeah.
It beats what we've got down south. Here we only have 2 seasons,...
"Hotter than H@!!", and "Not quite so D@#% Hot" ;)

Fantasy Role Playing Games: When there's no other way out of Oklahoma.
I wonder if, when I die, I can discover whether the greatest number of hours I logged in my life role-playing where the three years I lived in OK. I know that % wise, they must be. My 2 1/2 years living in Abilene would be second place.

My apartment during college was right across the street from the university duck pond where they held the Renn Faire every year. I logged a great many roleplaying hours during Renn Faire week each year.
On a related note, nothing beats arguments like the following:
"There's no way you can fit your camel through that doorway."
"Can too fit my camel through that doorway. Camels aren't that big."
"Oh, yeah." Opens living room window. "See that camel by that tent over there. How're you fitting that through a 4-foot tall doorway."
"Oh, I guess you're right."

That is truly awesome. Nowadays with things like wikipedia, folks can do this on-the-fly (if they care enough), but nothing beats having a real camel on hand while you're playing. :)

Great story, Eric.
One night when we were playing, somebody kept setting the dumpster outside the dorm/apt window on fire. The first time, my DM took his shirt off, leaned out the window, and yelled, "Your'll all goin to hell!" so loud, that the crowd facing away from us and even the firemen all jumped. Sweet memories.

Two things: 1) Longhorn fans can't take you, so be proud.
2) There is no such thing as an underground Sooner.
