Jess nods as the two girls head off to get into more appropriate attire

After a while Jessie comes out in a leotard that matches the colours of her bike. Dark orange, mixed with vertical black and white stripes, already starting to stretch a bit as she rejoins the group. She knew she didn't really need the stretches, but it still felt good to flex a bit

"I'm ready coach! Send me in!" she laughs

Catrina returns in a white T-shirt, black gym shorts, and white tennis shoes. "Ready when you are!" she calls out, joining Jessie and Wayne for whatever comes.

Parker goes to the boys locker room, changes into his sportswear, takes his combo lock out of his backpack, and locks his duffel bag and backpack into a locker.

If Parker hears the girls' voices through the wall, he moves to grab a locker that is furthest away from the wall that adjourns the girls locker room.

If he had to move to a locker further away, and he could still hear them, he will play some music on his phone (Eye of the Tiger, then Footloose) so he can no longer hear them, as he does not want to unintentionally invade their privacy.

Parker does not initiate any locker room talk but will join if spoken to.

Parker walks to where Cable is waiting for us to assemble outside.

Outside she takes a deep breath, and turns to Cable
"Ready!" she gives him a salute

"Right, I want you to use your powers in a gym situation," Cable explains. "This is to see how you use your powers together. Here, take this softball and throw it with you powered on."

Parker's aura activates and he flies up diagonally from where he was standing to be 30 feet above the ground and 30 feet away from Jessie.

"I'm open, Jess!"

At the gym

Catrina whistles. "Man, can all of you fly?"

She steps up and throws the softball. She's no softie. A life of ranching and horse riding has clearly made her fitter than the average girl. But there's no sense of it being powered in any way.

Jessie kinda fidgest a bit as she looks at Cabel
"Sir, do we HAVE to use our abilities now? I'd rather not have them see it so soon" she asks a bit reserved "It's not pretty"

Timothy calmly watches as the others pass the ball to one another. He instinctively uses his observations of each members powers, including Cable. He could easily fire the ball through a wall telekinetically, but that's not what the instructors looking for.

Parker catches the ball, and hearing Jessie's questions, pivots slightly and throws the ball to Timothy.

"Tim, catch!"

Parker flies over to Catrina after throwing the ball, "Want a lift up?" as the flames of his aura recede except for a bit at his feet and his hair.

Up to this point Parker has only carried his younger cousins while flying.

This is not Parker asking! Does Catrina weigh more than 1 rank of mass (100 lbs)?

She's 15 years old, it's going to be around that amount.

Catrina giggles. "Really? Sure!"

Timothy Stops the ball mid air with a glance. He eyes Jessie. "He's assessing our powers. Dazzle us with your talents Sunshine." He rockets the ball, while not directly at her, but it's close enough to be unnerving. "Catch."

She looks at Cable, then to Timothy. Her eyes going over the others
"Apologies for seeing me like this just after meeting me..."

The sound of skin tearing, bones cracking can be heard as the place where her tattoo is located tears and rips open, bone and flesh parting away as plates shoots out, electricity arching as each piece extends organic tendrils that dig and bore into her skin. Tunneling into every part of her body. Legs, arms, neck. Flesh and sinews exposed as the Armor fuses with her skin, covering her. But even with all this, no blood is spilled, even as alien bio matter fuses with seemingly human tendons and sinew.

What was left standing was a dark orange alien creature, easily 20 inches taller than the 5ft6" girl that occupied the space moments ago. Steam or something similar expells from the vents in her face, the 3 silvery orbs on her head spin. Two seem to track those around her, the 3rd, a larger one on the front of her head, glows slightly

She stands a few seconds, and in a kind of embarassed tone
"Tadaa..."

Cool, as he has not discovered his flight carrying limit yet - as his ya-yas told them flat out to not try to lift them or his mother off the ground, and I was hoping Parker would not be embarrasing himself on his first attempt to carry a teammate.

The flames from his head wink out so that Catrina's hair whipping around will not touch any flames. Parker scoops Catrina up with his arms underneath her arms, their faces close, and whispers "You smell nice. What perfume is that?" and he flies back to where he threw the ball from, and whispers, "Want to have some fun? Tell Jessie to throw you the ball." Parker makes the two of them insubstantial (though with two ranks of Subtle there is no difference in their appearance), then spins them around so Catrina is facing towards where Jessie is.

"That's pretty rough on your clothes." And horrific to watch. Timothy adds silently.

Catrina alse benefits from Parker's Immunities while he is holding her - immune to suffocation effects (no need to breathe) and immune to fire damage. He took her breath away. ;) Since spirits are her thing, Parker can make her a 'ghost' in a way.

Catrina takes a moment to just enjoy the thrill of being whisked into the air by a boy she just met. Giggling like the schoolgirl she, well, actually is, she locks eyes with Parker in response to his compliment. "Perfume?" She just stares for a moment, fumbling an answer, when Jessie transforms.

"Jessie! Throw us--¡Madredios!" She hyperventilates a moment as she witnesses the transformation, but quickly regains her composure. Yes, that's why she's built as she is, but they better explain why they didn't tell me that, she thinks.

She looks back at Parker for a moment and calms down. "Jessie! That's amazing! Come throw us the ball!"

An excited "Wow!" is his reaction to the transformation.

His suit locks into a rigid position with locked wings and a jet rockets him up straight up above the field. Despite the exhaust beginning to glow a bit, there's no sound at all. Once he's up in the air, the joints free up and he nimbly glides through the air with his wings.

"I'm open." he calls down to the others. There's also the sound of a stadium crowd and an organ playing "Take me out to the ball game."

She bends down to grab the ball and launches it back at Timothy, trying not to destroy the ball in the process. All the while her head orbs keep track of the other around her

Timothy, with a flick of the eye, alters the course of the ball to speed towards Catrina. "Heads up."

As Catrina expects to catch the ball, it goes through her and Parker!

"Nice throw!" Parker chuckles, then shifts them back to corporeal form and flies them to where the ball landed and hovers near the ground so Catrina can pick up the ball. "We're not phantom form anymore. You can grab the ball now."

Parker whispers to Catrina, "Sorry for the subterfuge. Wanted to surprise you too."

"You want back on the ground yet or still want to fly?" he asks her.

"Nice trick, but perhaps when we are suppose to catch things, dont do that? It could have been valuable" as she looks at where the ball landed. Her voice now distorted that one could not detect any of the tone she had when not transformed.

She looks around and then to Cable "How would we address each other during training like this? Like other supers, with identities? Or does that come later?"

"Tim said coach wants to see what we can do with our powers."

Parker, having had a few moments to think of what to say after seeing Jessie's transformation, "You're more tricked out than your ride, Jessie. Are you faster in that form than it is?"

As he is hovering with his back near the ground and seeing Wayne up above them, Parker wonders...and asks everyone "Who's the fastest?"

Parker whispers to Catrina, "Sorry for the subterfuge. Wanted to surprise you too."

As he is hovering with his back near the ground and seeing Wayne up above them, Parker wonders...and asks everyone "Who's the fastest?"

"I have a test for that," Cable says. "A hundred foot dash."

She laughs at the suggestion "Not even close to as fast, but i can fly pretty fast, but again, not as fast. Let's just say moving around this body, no matter what form, is rather difficult"

Looking at Cable "Not my favourite, but ill run it, if that is required sir"

Parker flies over to the starting line with Catrina and gently lands them onto their feet and removes his arms from underneath hers. "You never answered. What's the name of the perfume you're wearing?". He smiles at her and then whispers to her, "Maybe you don't want to tell me so I can only smell it when I'm near you. Smart," as she sees the green of his irises become tiny green flames as he gives a playful wink.

Catrina carefully sets herself down on the ground, and replies to Parker, "A girl's got to have her secrets, after all. You don't get everything she has when you first meet." She smirks and wags her finger in front of his nose for emphasis.

Looking down the track, she thinks aloud, "Hmm, footrace, no flight, but also, not trying to beat anyone." She looks at Parker, Jessie, Timothy, Wayne, sizing up her classmates.

She smirks, looks to her left, and pouts. Shaking her head, she goes to the starting line and prepares to run.

Jessie shrugs. She had very little chance to win such a race. But it was still fun. She gets ready for the race

Wayne drops down and takes his lane. Sadly, he doesn't have any way of moving quicker on the ground. But no hero can do everything...

"Get ready, get set," Cable says. "GO!" He shoots a pistol shot in the air.

As the "Get Ready" is given, Parker phases and tilts his feet down so the bottom of the fronts of his sneakers are just beneath the surface of the track.

As the "Get Set" is given, green flames appear from the top of his head and the bottoms of his shoes.

As soon as the "Go!" and pistol shot goes off, Parker appears to 'slide' down the track at about about 25 miles per hour, and crosses the finish line in about 3/4 of a second.

"Can I remove my feet from the ground now, coach?" he calls back at Cable.

Parker has not phased back to corporeal form yet.

Parker looks up to see if he can tell if Cable fired an actual bullet from the gun, with the intent to fly above it and (precise insubstantial extra) to make his hand corporeal to attempt to grab the bullet as it is falling to make it incorporeal when he makes his hand incorporeal again.

Friction burns are a type of heat damage. Does Parker's immunity to fire damage apply to all heat damage? Would trying to grab a speeding/falling bullet (without the gunpowder anymore) cause a different type of damage?

Telekinetically ripping the ground from the earth while he is still attached ground to feet, Timothy flies to the finish. His arms stretched outward in a representation of the cross.

Catrina watches her classmates take off in various ways, while she simply breaks out into a run.

Jessie laughs as she runs too, her heavy foot steps making small dents in the track, but she keeps to running next to Catarina

"Fun, isnt it?"

"If the Flash or Quicksilver aren't around, that would usually be me ... and I can totally sit this one out. Just to keep things fair. Sorry to be late though, you'd be shocked how often that happens."

Seemingly out of nowhere, a wildly handsome young man appears. There's a shimmering as he becomes solid again, and to be honest, he looks more like an Abercrombie model than a superhero. Possibly both, also possibly one of those models who got a "special contract" with the CEO. Maybe looking a little more like Mario Rodriguez than Wally West, part of the shimmering process revealed a LOT of skin ... and the young man's physique (with an apparent zero-point-nothing percent body fat).

Eventually he shimmers into "gym clothes" which while not as tricked out as Batman's, do seem geared for use with his powers. He's clearly a fan of the Flash Family.

"In Central City they've started calling me Mach 3, here at Gringo High though, it'll be tough. Whatever you can handle really; friends seem to try to say Jaime "high-meh" properly but the hard core Anglos just say Jaime "jay-mee" and leave it at that. Jay might work as a good middle ground."

Even off-camera, the smile is super-genuine.

Catrina looks at the newcomer and laughs. <Don't try so hard, Jaime, they'll call you what you want to be called.>*

Looking around, she smirks and adds, "Might be fun, though, Jaime. How about a race, you vs. me?"

"There are fewer nice people in the world than I once thought, but maybe here will be different that way too. Thanks for letting me know."

Even his puzzled look was charming ... "I swear that you said 'race' but maybe you meant for me to wait for you at the finish line? Headstart? We could walk together too. WAIT - or is this one of those no powers things!? Just run, like without the SpeedForce. Cool, sure, yeah, that could be a thing. "

Stepping up to the starting blocks, Catrina offers her hand in greeting. "My name is Catrina, by the way. Pleased to meet you." As she shakes Jaime's hand, she adds, "Oh, and it's okay to use your power, it's school, after all. And... <Don't try so hard, Jaime>."

Those last words sound at once dulcet and familiar, as if someone whispered deep inside, singing to one's bones.

Catrina Speaks with the Bones. Will save, DC 17, Impaired, Disabled, Paralyzed.

With a smirk, she runs.
