GMMichael, I have a couple of questions:
- The leader type of guy to the south is dead right? At -9? Or at least unconscious?
- The guy just north of that one - I cannot see his HP. Has he been hit the previous round?
- We cannot 5' step outside the yellow lines showing the outlines of the path, correct?
- Toward which of the approaching Warriors does Tessai get an AoO against? The one from the north, or the one from the sw? I am assuming the one to the north?
1. Yes Dondo is dead. I guess you could say unconscious and bleeding out. but effectively out of the battle. Mooks die at 0 Named at - con score. So Dondo has a very unlikely chance at stabilizing.
2. sure you can, as long as it isnt into difficult terrain. Remember, roots, darker vegetation, rocks prohibit but not the two shades of lighter green. thats grass and light bushes.
3, Tessai can choose which one she gets the AoO against.
Arronus- Your AoO is vs the one he attacked last time, as he was the adjacent one that moved around Arronus to get out of the entanglement

Tessai swung her bardiche at the approaching warrior who had come out of the building, but her blade passed in front of him.
Arronus slashed at the warrior moving out of the mass of vines, cutting him deep across his stomach. The warrior staggered forward out of the field of entanglement.
Urtar looks at the Native Warriors and crouches down, drawing his shield and touching the necklace of a green mans face chanting in a strange tongue however in his haste he fumbled over a few of the words and the gathering magic of green energy that would have been a sickle when finished, disappeared in a cloud of green.
Jenna steps back quickly loading another bolt in her crossbow, rasing it and firing at the warrior to her front. The bolt passes the warrior, sticking in the dirt behind him.
Arronus slashed again at the warrior standing staggered on his feet and finished disemboweling him. Then moved getting next to the tree so it would be harder to surround him.
The little straw rat on his shoulder started wiggling and moving to and fro in a distracting manner to draw the attention off of any assault.
The Skeleton attacked the warrior twice, boney fingers raking across his body leaving bloody furrows behind. This warrior too began to show signs of serious wounds.
Dr. Ocellus swung the shovel in his hand with such force it clanged against the head of the warrior in front of Urtar.
The native leader on the ground's breath rattled out one final time and he expired.
Kushik came out the door and hustled over to stand next to Tessai. he yelled to his men Jogas, Tano, go back to the compound. Tell the priests. Tell Tavasmok what we have here.
Gideon swung his fauchard at the warrior hed hit on the approach, and it slammed past his shield and cut him severely, knocking the wind out of the opponent, leaving him gasping for air.
Flash brayed because he didnt like the noise he was hearing.
Tessai shifts and swings at the wounded warrior, but misjudged the attack.
Round 3
Tano and Jogas (Ive removed them from the map. The orange boxes are where they started) try to breakaway from engaging the strangers to head back to the compound moving as fast as they can through the foliage ((currently they are both 30 feet off map Gideon and Tessai can take attacks of opportunity Tessai against Jogas, Gideon against either. If anyone gives chase, just move your character off map with them and we can do it in theater of the mind))
The Deathwalker engaged with the skeleton once more tries to smash his shield into it. Still the skeleton evades the attack.
The warrior near Arronus thrusted his spear at the elf and he was distracted by the manuevers of the wierd thing on Arronus' shoulder. His spear passed beside the elfs ribs.
Seeing his friend in danger from the skeleton, one of the wounded warriors stepped in and tried to bash with his shield But the skelton proved to be to quick.
Dr Ocellus was assaulted at spearpoint and managed to get past his defenses and draw blood.
Urtar too was attacked but blocked it with his shield.
The warrior continued to press Jenna and stepped in thrusting his spear and cut her on her arm.
The remaining warrior rushed Tessai, but couldnt get in a strike as he had to move through some bushes on the advance.

Gideon kicks out a foot to trip the running warrior who is furthest away from Tessai. Then he moves to support Tessai spinning as he walks between two of the warrior to get some space to swing.

Guys, don't forget Bless!
Urtar curses himself for using his Entangle spell too quickly. It would very useful now to stop the cultists from sounding the alarm. He pushes this to the back of his mind and focuses on the cultists in front of him.
Letting go of his longspear, he draws and swings his morningstar in a single motion.
Draw + swing morningstar at the cultist that Dr. Ocellus has already hit with the shovel.

Pressed by two opponents, and without space to maneuver (I think the area behind me is difficult terrain), Tessai drops her bardiche, freeing the greatsword from its scabbard at her back, and attacks the man flanked between her and Gideon (Also just attacked by Gideon).

Also, those fleeing appear to be running into the entangle affected area. They will quite likely get caught up in that and will at least be severely slowed except my guy who likely fell on his face. If I only got an attack with the fauchard because of the reach and threat range I can make a damage roll.

As one of the warriors turned to run, Gideon quickly hooked his foot with his polearm and sent him sprawling into the grass and bushes.
Urtar drops the longspear into the bush and in a fluid motion pulls his morningstar and backhands the warrior to his front with it, almost spinning him around, but he quickly regained his balance on wavering feet.
Jenna pulled her dagger, dropping her crossbow, and slashed out cutting her opponent on the hand.
Arronus shouts for attention to the two warriors heading to their compound, as Kushik called it. and hacked into the native he faced, severely injuring it but not dropping it, aided by the antics of the fibrous rat creature on his shoulder. The necromantic servant stepped to the side and once then again clawed at the injured native warriors and both dropped at his feet.
Dr. Ocellus planted his spade into the warrior's throat that just was hit by Urtar, and he dropped to the ground, spraying blood all over the Dr's weapon.
Kushik continued to press Tessai lashing out with his gleaming blade, she ably avoided the swordstrike.
Gideon after tripping one of the fleeing warriors, he stepped a few feet to come up behind the leader issuing the orders and brought his Fauchard down smashing through his collar bone and shoulder, leaving him bloodied and near crippled. The man screamed in agony.
and was answered from behind the building by an accompanying bray from Flash.
Tessai drops her Bardiche and pulls her greatsword finishing the leader and as he falls she shouts Surrender. of course none of the natives understood her and think it was a warcry.

One of the fleeing Warriors continued to crash through the jungle slowed, but unwilling to chance the grasping vines.
The other lay at the Skeletons feet and tried to stand before moving to follow his ally.

As the Native near the skeleton stood, The Necromantic Servant grabbed at his throat, scratching him severely.
Tessai swung her sword at the fleeing native and slashed him across his side, hearing a rib cracking. The native continued to flee however.
Urtar quickly moves to help Jenna, travelling as far as his encumbered self can go. He swings his morningstar and misses, splintering a fallen branch.
Jenna continues to wave her dagger defensively, occasionally thrusting out to keep her assailant at bay. Again she catches him on his spear arm, causing another scratch.
Arronus' servant pressed his attack, tearing the warrior apart with its hands.
Then the Elf Occultist, tries in vain to find an opening to attack the native hes engaged with, despite his ratling's distracting antics. He can still see the warrior who ran off past the entangled field trying to flee about 60 feet away, off trail trying to move through thick foliage.
With a choice of who to give chase to, the Elf turned and headed after the wounded warrior to the south, The warrior he had been facing stabbed out as he turned and caught him unawares in the back. drawing a trickle of blood.

Dr. Ocellus moves forward and seeing the skeleton finish his intended opponent he moves forward a bit more and looks at the fleeing warrior some 60 feet away.
Gideon moves to help Jenna and once more slashes into a native nearly dropping him.
Gideon Can hear Flash moving through the foliage and then the Mule stops when he can see the big Half-Elf and brays excitedly.
Tessai then moves towards where Jenna, Gideon and Urtar were.

Dr. Occellus could see the warrior fighting with the brush, moving another 30 feet away. He is now 90 feet away and starting to circle back to the trail around the entanglement field.
The warrior who had stabbed Arronus gave chase, coming up behind the elf and this time stabbed him deep in his shoulder with the spear he carried. He spoke in a tongue, the Occultist did not know and the warrior he had chased, spun around and tried to stab him. But he managed to dodge this attack.
The native fighting Jenna tried yet again and was successful in his attack, as blood dripped down from the side of her face where he had cut her.
The remaining warrior alive turned and moved a step to attack Gideon
but couldnt penetrate the Fighters defenses.

Dr Ocellus was disinclined to chase on his own, reasoning the native would be retreating towards more of his own kind. So instead he did the only logical thing he could and moved to help Gideon and the others.

Urtar steps up next to the warrior swinging his morningstar and the warrior blocks it with his shield,
Jenna once again nicks the warrior as he pivots after blocking Urtars strike.
Arronus calls the Necromantic servant to him , It scrambles through the lightly forested jungle floor until it comes up flanking opposite the Elf. The straw make-believe rat cavorted on the elfs shoulder, drawing the attention of the warrior, and just then Arronus slipped his blade into his rib cage, dropping the wounded native. He then sidestepped blocking the other natives retreat.
Dr. Ocellus breathed a sigh of frustration over letting the one warrior go to tell his cult about the group, and he turned and moved back to where the main group was, coming up next to the big half-Elf.
The native adjacent to the good doctor, was too close for Gideon to effectively strike with his Fauchard so he kicked him in the stomach with a booted foot, knocking the wind out of him and dropping him to the jungle floor gasping for air as he fell unconscious.
Flash hears Gideon telling him to stay put and for a second considers ignoring the command, but thinks better of it and with a resigned look goes back to eating a palm frond.
Tessai, greatsword in hand moves forward, leaving her Bardiche lying on the jungle floor, coming up to aid Urtar and Jenna.
The fleeing Native continues to circle around the mass of entangling vines. in a few seconds he'd reach the path on the other side where he could make better time.
The wounded Warrior trying to flee, facing Arronus tiredly stabbed out with his spear. The nimble elf, avoided the attack.
The cultist between Jenna and Urtar, continued to press Jenna, thinking the only way out was through her. She dodged his assault.

@Gideon, if you are attacking from behind Urktar with a reach weapon, you should have -4 to-hit because Urktar provides cover. Just saying this because I had the exact same discussion in another thread. Won't make a difference because you will trounce him anyway.

Arronus necromantic servant stepped behind the warrior and first 1 hand sunk its bony fingers into the warriors collar sinking into flesh and as the native began to fall to the floor, the other skeletal hand ripped his throat out.
The Elf spun and began moving quikly through the jungle, this side wasnt as dense as the opposite side, and he he paused 60 feet out. He looked past the mass of writhing vines and saw the other native 85' away. that warrior was 20' feet from the path, where Arronus was a good 60 feet
Dr. Ocellus saw the warrior Jenna and Urtar had engages was dead, and shoves his shovel into the warriors throat who lay unconscious on the jungle floor after being kicked by Gideon.
Gideon seeing all the warriors dead except the fleeing one, looks to see if he can see him. and yes he considers the native could be shot from a bow or crossbow, for a short time yet. Gideon see's Arronus moving to intercept, but realizes the warrior has a short distance lead on him after moving through the thicker side of the foliage.
Flash chews some good healthy jungle bushes.
Tessai glances at Jenna's dropped crossbow, grabs it up and retrieves a few bolts from Jenna.

This is definitely a loosing chase for him, unless he has support close. He may be able to outrun Arronus, but the skeleton is not subject to fatigue...

Urtar seems the big party they had just defeated and is a bit sad that so many people would join the Zon-kuthon cult. If we're still in rounds, I'll dismiss Entangle the first round and start doing diagnostics on the fallen cultists to see if any of them are alive with take 10 on Heal for a total of 18.
