@GM: I filled in Slide 2 before I filled in Slide 1. HAH!

I hate to be the one to bring this up but we have a substantial lack of martial power at this table. Unfortunately Kageryu can't fight his way out of a paper bag until he gets Dex-to-damage at L3.

Meaning: I'll have to decide whether to withdraw from the table or switch PCs. I'm heavily leaning towards the former because I really need to get Kageryu up to L3.

Yeah, definitely not a lot of front liners. But we have a few days and I put out a recruitment call. If one or more shows up we might be gtg. Or we could grab a martial pregen for the fourth. Or we could decide that the party composition is just not ok, and shut it down.

Hello all. Currently we still only have three. We can absolutely play, but would need to add a pregen NPC to go along with the group. Does everyone wish to stay and do that?

It won’t hurt my feelings if the game dissolves and y’all go to other games. And it won’t bother me to send a pregen with y’all either.

I'm of mixed feelings. We also don't have anyone who can find and disable traps and locks. The bloodrager pregen would bring martial ability to the table but we'd still be without a trap finder/disabler.

Right now we're looking to go 1-2 subtier so a L1 would work. I didn't see you sign up for the table; before you we only had 3 and as I wrote above my magus can't fight his way out of a paper bag until next level.

I was going to suggest the L1 bloodrager pregen for martial hitting power.

I have a level 1 paladin I could swap to if needed. I have other characters in level, but that's the only martial I'm excited to play at the right subtier.

I can go with my Suli but let me check things out. It looks like I gave him a GM sheet from Level 1 of Emerald Spire from 2017 but the memory is rather hazy. Let me make sure that when it was reported by the group that they had not assigned it the wrong one. (and dig through the sheets)

I am looking at rebuilding him as an Elemental Shifter.

If Ed wants to go with his Witch, Redelia her Bard, and if I stick with my Magus, we could go with the L1 Bloodrager pregen for martial firepower.

Witches and Bards have Cure Light Wounds on their spell list so if the 2 PCs didn't trade them out they can use Kageryu's Wand of CLW.

That way Midnight would provide the skills, Telosh the hexes and other casting, Kageryu is sort of there, and the pregen for hitting things. Thoughts?

The things I was thinking of were goggles, but those are actually against gaze attacks and do nothing about light.

Midnight will buy six uses of that grease.

Welcome back. A fair bit happened, but most of what you missed was a fight from a hidden foe in the first room.

Jehan got blasted in the face again, and then the enemy got slept, the door opened, enemy slashed almost in half, then finished with a magic missile.

After that everyone got a decent look through secret holes into the surrounding rooms. And then everyone went into the end room and found a secret door behind the throne with a cheap lock on it. That door seems safe, but is still locked. The group is now slightly backtracking to the north and south rooms to check them out.

Up the stairs in the first room hasn’t been checked yet but no clue if anyone intends to do so.

You could chuck the sand in the vent I guess and hope for the best. But you also closed the vent releases that go into the throne area so…

Not sure if it could be done but I was thinking to place a large amount of the sand in the vent that leads up to the throne area. When we find the entrance to the throne room, run back down to have Vulcus (or myself) open the vent up so it fills the room with the sand, possibly blinding her

Vulcus won’t actively assist. The plan has some merit (assuming some luck and rolls go your way), but the scope isn’t there. The map is a very scaled down version of the actual size of the area leading up to the big bad boss area. You would be running each way for multiple rounds of combat. If you wish to do that, I can figure out a DC for your makeshift trap/device.

And there are four vents, so best case scenario you may get one fourth of the room covered and do the effect that would occur if one willfully put their face up to the vent in the hallway. I’m trying to encourage and allow alternate ideas but… this is a very very long shot.

I would like to not go this route either because the PCs have no way of protecting themselves from the negative effects of a sand cloud.

Plus, from an RP standpoint, Jehan is actively against the idea of doing anything shown in the murals as it's advocating devil worship.
