I think it is an excellent hunting tool. A flat stone disk that can be thrown accurately for a long distance strike.
Wait. Did you mean discuss or discus? I may have made a mistake.
Micah Elum checking in!

Slides have been added. Please add your token, initiative and perception to slide 2. Feel free to introduce yourselves in the gameplay thread as well.

Outside the Spire of Nex, a few km north of Absalom.

![]() |

Apparently, I misunderstood where to report. Am I too late?
Silly me. I was waiting and waiting...

![]() |

Thank you for accepting me to the table and placing me on the map.
It's the terrain considered difficult, or could Torrin charge (max 40') the enemy?
At the end of the charge there may be a trip attempt.

![]() |

Does/did Thor get +2 for flanking with Allanarion?
Brings them to 17 to Hit.
If I mention any non core rules, just slap me. This is my first core game.

cmlobue |

Yep, you pop in at the end of the order.
No difficult terrain.
The post said "with flanking", so I assumed that was already calculated in the attack roll. If that was incorrect, I will be happy to fix it.

![]() |

Hehehe... just needed a better roll.

![]() |

And welcome Torrin! You'll want to move your token on the slides. The link it at the top of the page or in the header bar for the GM.

Thanks and thanks!

![]() |

Its fist glances off Torrin's armor...
Torrin Garr (-2 AC)
That was a hit vs Torrin, as he's at -2 AC from charging.
AC 18 is now AC 16.
Do you have a preference or is there a PFS standard for the "Stat Line" format?

![]() |

I don't know if this is considered "meta gaming"... but, can I assume Torrin knows to which space it 5' stepped/burrowed?
Straight down or diagonal in some way? 9 possibilities. And that it has total concealment, meaning 50/50 chance?

![]() |

Presumably it also has total cover while underground, so can't be attacked until it shows itself again. (At least not by our level 1-2 characters.)

![]() |

A buncha readied actions seem to be the prescription for this combat now.

![]() |

Presumably it also has total cover...
Ahh, that old trick. Sheesh.
Thanks!

I am heading to a local convention tomorrow and celebrating a birthday. My posting between now and Monday may be limited. Please feel free to bot Moe.

Did you make it across the Libra line?

![]() |

The birthday is only tomorrow. The convention continues on through the weekend.
I am a longtime Virgo.
Does that mean I have Virgone (or is it I Virwent)?

![]() |

I just be a Libra.
I always seek to craft the most "balanced" (jack of all trades) type of characters... eh, let's say I enjoy multi-classing!
Gestalt (hush my mouth!) was a dream concoction... sorry, PFS.
I should work on PFS Gestalt!

![]() |

I will be traveling and so unlikely to post this weekend. Please bot me if needed. It's fine to use consumables or spells or limited use abilities if it would benefit the party.
Dora will usually use bombs in combat, particularly while Bomber's Eye is still active.

![]() |

1 PP = 10 GP? Yes please! I can reduce it from my sheet.

![]() |

In this case, the GM meant 1 Prestige Point, not 1 platinum piece. Some of the PCs here are brand-new, so have earned no Prestige yet, or have already spent the few they've received. So our GM consulted with the House GM, and was told that--in this specific instance--we could borrow against the 2 PP we should earn from this adventure.

Thank you and apologies, noob here.
Still, yes please!
![]() |

You're welcome!
BTW, if you haven't yet, you will probably want to download the Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild Guide. It explains all the extra rules (like Prestige) that PFS uses.

![]() |

Can't be 100% sure, but looks like "Red" is in another room or on another level?

I think Paizo had a disgruntled employee who's messing with the die roller.

Yep, can't make this stuff up.

Shouldn't Ponya have their own initiative entry? I thought all companions, including eidolons, rolled separate initiatives in 1E?
I’ve never seen a rule about it, just that some GMs do it that way and some don’t. If there is a rule, please point me to it. Otherwise I’ll do whatever the GM wishes.
Ponya’s would be +2.

cmlobue |

You are correct. I thought it was just animal companions who had their own initiative. We will keep it as is for this combat and fix for the next.

I did some forum diving and it’s pretty clear the rule is different initiatives (except for mounts). A majority of GMs I play under do combine companions and PCs into one initiative though for simplicity and ease of play, which is probably why I figured it was the default.
That said I’m more than happy to adjust to separate initiatives.
Don’t mind Micah’s scowl, that’s actually him looking happy! : P

Is our Alchemist Tinkerer familiar with tech? They seem to have Disable Device +3?

![]() |

In my post full of dice rolls for everyone, I assumed that Dora would assist Allanarion with the engines, because they are the only two PCs trained in DD.

I was focused on the suits, apologies... Huzzah, indeed!

![]() |

Sorry, brought home a bug from my trip, so not feeling well. Please continue to bot.
Is Dora/Redelia OK? We haven't heard from them here since Sept. 24.

cmlobue |

I have no idea. I'm in a game they are running which hasn't had a post for a while.

![]() |

I got a PM a day or so ago and their player is dealing with a household of sickness. Hoping to resume posting soon.

![]() |

I rolled a 5+1=6 for... nuthin'. Site gobbled it, waiting to see if the post reappears.

![]() |

Hi, everyone, I'm back. I'm sorry for being missing for so long. My family came down with covid for the first time, and I just didn't have the energy for fun for a while after getting better.
I expect that I will now be able to post daily.

![]() |

Glad you're feeling better and welcome back!

cmlobue |

COVID is no joke. Glad you're all doing better.

15' up means we're in the 3rd vertical cube (10 feet to fall) or the 4th vertical cube 15 feet to fall?
And therefore how far to climb before we can attack with high ground advantage?

cmlobue |

Your feet are 15 feet above the ground, so the fourth cube.
