Here - waiting to know where you guys are going or doing next

![]() |

Here also, had to wait until the morning to view the map. Google Maps is rather temperamental in the evening for my slow two cans and a string internet out here in the boonies. I figure that we can not get to the section to the north of us and moved everyone to the small block to the Northwest. We can circle around to the last of the areas going clockwise. If not, we can adjust as needed.
"We still have some areas to check out. Follow me everyone." Ebonfeather said as they continued to search the area.

"Great minds think alike, Ebonfeather." Thornrose follows to where the tengu is leading the group

The door is neither trapped nor locked.
The walls of this small room are covered in ancient tiles of gold, green, and blue, although many are cracked, chipped, or missing. A shallow pool of clear water fills the southern half of the chamber, steaming with warmth. Robes and towels hang on pegs by the door, and a tin bucket on the floor is filled with blocks of dark clay.

![]() |

Black Sun takes a closer look at the bucket of clay.
She also throws a brief, inscrutable glance in Thornrose's direction - who suddenly feels lighter on its stalks than it has since it was a sprout!
Thornrose, for the next hour (or there is cause to use it on someone else), you get +4 on Acrobatics checks to jump - because I can.

Black Sun recognises the clay block as as Blackfire Clay.
Archive of Nethys

So, where to now?

![]() |

Carlin finds no way forward. A curved wall blocks the passage.

![]() |

"Maybe we should try and turn the levers at the beginning. Remember what I'm talking about? They did open tunnels when we first came here." Thornrose muses

![]() |

"Let me head back to the switches" Ebonfeather said. "It will be easier for everyone to take up positions and let me know when there is a path to the north where we just came from earlier."
Okay, I moved everyone so that we can communicate with each other. I want to move the black tunnel next to Knight Thornrose so that it opens
Once everyone was in place, he started moving the switches one at a time.

![]() |

The black switch is in the neutral position. Do you wish to move it up or down?

![]() |

Ebonfeather pulls the Black lever up. There is a *click* then *RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE* and you can feel the floor vibrating. Thornrose sees the open corridor that led to a deadend close off. Garsita sees a new passage swing into position. Presumably other, unobserved changes are occurring as well.
Unfortunately, investigation of that new passage leads you to a curved wall dead end.
What's your next move?

![]() |

That is a rather solid looking wall.

![]() |

untrained Craft (Sculpting): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
After molding the blackfire clay into some kind of nightmarish figurine (anyone else who wanders back into the baths may feel free to make a faux Call of Cthulhu-style SAN check), Black Sun meanders into the final "un-covered" room.
She ponders a riddle she heard back at the asylum: "No one can truly know what a deserted area looks like...."

![]() |

No auras detected

![]() |

Ebonfeather headed back to join the others. When he got past Garsita, an opening that was not there earlier could be seen. "This way everyone, looks like there is another path to the north of here." he said, making his way north.

![]() |

Unfortunately that passage dead ends at a curved wall. Maybe some more switch pulling is called for.
Don't forget, you found switches in assorted rooms, not just the initial chamber

![]() |

The Red lever is already up - I'm going to assume you meant down.
A lot more rumbling and clanking occurs as the turntables move into new positions. Thornrose sees a passage close off but Black Sun sees the previously dead end passage open up revealing an entrance to a room beyond.
Another emerald automaton stands next to a black switch and it also appears that the room can be subdivided into three sections by bronze portcullises, one of which is already down (indicated by the blue line)

Black Sun creeps ahead...
Stealth: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (9) + 20 = 29

![]() |

perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (2) + 0 = 2
Black Sun is unnoticed.

![]() |

"After you." Thornrose says as he tries to sneak behind Garsita.
Stealth: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (4) - 2 = 2

![]() |

perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (2) + 0 = 2
I hope you are moving your tokens to their current position

![]() |

It's already up - I'm going to assume you mean down
perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 0 = 14
Ebonfeather does that - and with loud clanking sounds the portcullis between him and the rest of the party comes down, with the one on the other side going up. Other sounds indicate the rest of the dungeon is reconfiguring.
This gets the automaton's attention.
Carlin - Are you meant to be all the way down there?
Initiatives:
Alecto: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Black Sun: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Carlin Ember: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Ebonfeather: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Garsita: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Knight Thornrose: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Green: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Everyone but Thornrose and Carlin go before the automaton.

With the walking bucket of bolts alerted, Ebonfealther unleashed a flurry of clawing and pecking at it. He hoped that the others would do something to help deal with it, once he realized that he was stuck in the area with it.

Thornrose and Alecto both notice their stems appear to have lost contact with the ground, and the entire world seems to momentarily start rushing down an unseen drain somewhere between them, before the automaton abruptly lurches toward the locus of twisting darkness, and not under its own power!
5-foot Groucho-step, move action to Gather Power, then my first-ever!:

Ebonfeather: Hit, Miss, Hit, Hit (-27)
The automaton didn't stand a chance. Ebonfeather does quite a bit of damage to it, and Black Sun crushes it to destruction.

Black Sun sifts through that much of the wreckage that has not been compressed into an orb of metal dense enough to now emit its own weakly-palpable gravitational tug, just to see what she can see.
