FYI. I was diagnosed with my a serious infection last night. I've since undergone surgery and am scheduled for a number more over the coming week. I will be hospitalized for at least that long.
I am currently in good spirits, have a fair amount of energy and some sudden free time. I don't know how long any of those will last. I currently expect to be able to post, but please free to not me if I have not responded within a 24 hour time period.

I ended up having had 3 surgeries total, but am now "infection free". Just got home from the hospital yesterday. Long road of recovery ahead, likely looking at months of in-home health nurse wound care. Pain management has been key and even simple tasks can be exhausting, but I remain in good spirits and have been receiving much love and support.
Still limited to using my phone for now, so posts may be a bit sparse for a bit longer.
