From my recollection, yes, we did everything but the bear (B8) on the right side.

Alseta GM Delta Arena |
That's correct. B8 is barricaded from your end and the bear is still inside. Other than that, that wing is clear.

Ellaeaanda |

Alak's last name is Stagram, right?
Yes, that's what I have written in my notes.

Alseta GM Delta Arena |
I just realized that I have the Age of Ashes pawn collection in my files and have not used it...

Ardoinel Oreflame |

Hope you had a Thanksgiving dinner that couldn't be beat!

Ellaeaanda |

Any of us actually understand Diabolic?
Maybe Resa or Alak? Because of the tiefling/hellknight thing?

Ardoinel Oreflame |

We'd need Alak to translate the doll's rambling and communicate with it if we wanna follow Resa's suggestion to try and calm it, then.

Ellaeaanda |

That sounds good to me. Ardoinel still has all his actions so it'd make sense for him to ask Alak to do so.

Just a heads-up, the holiday madness has started and I work in retail. I'll be closing tomorrow at 9:30pm and opening on thursday at 7:00am, so I won't have time to reply tomorrow. Sorry about that.

Ellaeaanda |

No worries. Thanks for letting us know in advance! And good luck with the holiday season!

Ardoinel Oreflame |

As someone who also works in the service industry (in a hotel, specifically, attached to the Mall of America!), I know your pain. Take as long as you need!

Haha, at this rate I feel like Ardoinel is going to be remade 15 times before the end of next year! xD

Ellaeaanda |

Ditto! Thanks for the heads-up, and good luck with the clopening!

I'm sorry to keep you waiting, but I wound up stranded at the hotel I work at overnight due to a winter storm. May I please request a grace period so I'm not trying to write long complex posts on my phone? :(

Alseta GM Delta Arena |
Sorry about the 2/3 days missing. I got sick after the clopening. Feeling better and ready to go!
@Ardoinel, sorry that you got stranded, let us know when you are able to make it out.

BTW, I love the implication that the Bumblebrashers regard Pib and Zarf as eccentric neighbors who sometimes visit for dinner! XD

Alseta GM Delta Arena |
hahahahaha thank you. Feels like that's what makes the most sense for their relationship with the kobolds.

Moving the healing conversation here.
Looking back at scrollback, I think we've done two rounds of Treat Wounds, which means two hours so far.
I have Cerrus at 26/28 HP. I have no idea what everyone else is at, but Delta Arena mentioned that Resa and Ardoinel were the most hurt.

I always keep Ellaeaanda's HP updated in the stat line under her name (22/22 HP currently) so that everyone knows how healthy or injured she is.
Delta Arena mentioned that Resa and Ardoinel were the most hurt.
Indeed, and right after the post in which that was mentioned, Netkin used Treat Wounds on them both, healing 4 hp for Resa and 11 hp for Ardoinel.
My personal belief is that unless a PC requests healing, or we can tell they're badly injured (e.g. from their description or their stat line), we don't bother healing them and move on. Otherwise we spend an eternity taking rests that may or may not be needed and the game bogs down. (I think part of the problem is that some PCs mentioned resting but that's it--there's no indication of any mechanics (e.g. Treat Wounds, Refocus, Craft, etc) in their post, which understandably confuses the GM.)

Yeah, I'm fine with that. I'm mostly concerned with giving all the players a chance to 'raise their hand' for healing - as I've done in a friendly way, hopefully. But, I totally understand that PBP games can grind to a halt if we continually wait for healing checks, etc.
Besides that, I don't want PCs to go down quickly in an encounter because they started with low HP when we had a chance to heal up before a fight.

Ellaeaanda |

I agree--that's why I waited for all the players to post before pushing ahead. But if a player posts and doesn't mention anything about healing, and I don't see a problem in their statline, I'm going to assume they're fine.
It's been a rocky week, and I'm fried
Posting might be slow (or nonexistent) until the weekend :')
Hang in there Netkin! Don't worry about us. Hope you defry soon!

Sounds good to me.

That sounds fair.
With the intention of giving a fair warning to everyone: this one time I will treat it as if everyone had a full rest, refocus, did their daily preparations (Netkin, feel free to tell me what your prepared vials are when you get back to normal and have time for it.), and is back to full health!
After that, I'll keep updating my notes on health the best I can, whether or not the statlines get updated. There will be moments to raise a hand for healing, but will not heal without the indication of the mechanics.
Does that sound fair to everyone?

Ellaeaanda |

Sorry, I'll be away this weekend and won't be able to post until Monday evening, so I'll let the others drive the action.

Alseta GM Delta Arena |
Given that both Ellaeaanda and Netkin are off for the moment, should we take a quick break and continue on Monday?

Resa Dermade |

Sorry, I've been busy! Still here. But want to add that with the holidays it does make it harder to post and work, but I should have some post still up.

The town was founded 204 years ago, in 4520AR.
My timeline and backstory were completely off... And no one told me!! xDD
Sometimes I wonder why someone as bad at numbers as myself ever got into RPGs :') Oh well!
Indeed. Hotel's been CRAZY with people doing their last minute shopping (we're attached to the Mall of America)!
I can imagine nothing scarier than being in this scenario... shivers Best of luck!

Both the player's guide and the first issue do say it traces its history "just shy of 170 years," but it's founding date makes it older than that. Hellknight Hill was abandoned in 4711AR, which would already make Breachill 191 years old, and that happened several years ago. Since there is an actual timeline with years listed I think the error is the "170 years."
