Supreme Beings Pathfinder 2E

Game Master scranford

Pathfinder 2E campaign to introduce new veteren players and friends.
◆ One action, ◆◆ Two Actions, ◆◆◆ Three Actions, ◇= Free Action, ↺= Reaction

Recently lost our front liner and rogue from this game. Would like to recruit (2) new players. Preferably take over existing characters, but if you'd rather make your own, we can make some adjustments.

We are currently in mid "Wave" combat, as a horde of undead is infiltrating the town of Raven for some yet to be determined reason. We are using the "Lost Lands" campaign setting from Frog God Games, but instead of running a pre-set adventure, I'll be using encounters and setting from their products, interspersed with my original material.

Lost Lands

I use the boards for posting, Discord for image sharing and offline communication, and Owl Bear Rodeo for maps.

NOTE: A word of warning this is a RAW game... and while I'll listen and entertain player debate on rules... RAW will ALWAYS Win out.

What level are they? I might be interested in a "front liner" spot. Could be interesting to assume the role of a pre-existing character.
Fair warning, though, I'm rather new to 2e, if that's a problem.

Edit: Are you talking about the Telurion character?

1st and yes

I could do the rogue though I'm barely conversant on 2e. I can take over the character as written except I would have to be a male ratfolk.

Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Pathfinder Maps Subscriber

I'd be interested.

I'm conversant in PF2e, and I understand Rule 0.

What character would you like me to take?

And with others more conversant in 2e popping in, I think I'm gonna drop out of the running here.

Have fun!

If Ira is good with rogues I'd prefer a bashing character but really not picky. I'm just not a fan of spells.

For explanation of my experience. I played through the opening adventure of the playtest module. I also own the Core Rulebook and have made a few characters but haven't played. Pathfinder 1e is still my love but I figure I should become more conversant with 2e.

Well okay. What about Ironperenti with Telurion, and Ira Kroll with Caks. Go ahead and make your profiles. Feel free to make changes, but keep the general spirit of the character. Only 1st level so you can still change things. Once you have the profile Ill get things going again.

If you have discord you can share your profile name with me and you can post there when you try to join the Owl Bear Rodeo map. Thanks for joining.

on it

Keep some version of the name or just a profile name of my own?

Preferably a version of Telurion

Building this out. Still a lot of changes to make.

@Telurion...

Good background... but wrong setting. This is set in the Lost Lands, not Golarion.

The original Telurion was an orphan who became a ward of the Church of Thyr in Raven. Much of the next chapter is dependent on Telurion's knowledge of local customs and history... so if possible, could you adjust your background to allow this?

If you wish to stick with your story, I can change things up... but we do need to address the setting.

This might be helpful.

World Anvil - Lost Lands

I'm going to go ahead and bot Telurion this round to move things along, but feel free to jump in when you can.

Also, if you click the link in my profile, you should be able to join the Owl Bear Rodeo site and control your token.

Caks strides three times.

Yeah, that's an old background. I was going to look up Telurion's but it's not on his profile. I found another in some of his posts but it discusses powers and drawing people to himself which does not seem to match a fighter.

I'll look around for something.

My discord name is ironperenti

I've scared off another victim... I mean player. Looking for another individual to give Pathfinder 2e run RAW a try. We currently have a Fighter, Rogue, Priest, and Kineticist... so something with a little arcane, occult, or primal would be welcome. We just finished part one and are leveling up to 2nd level by the beginning of next week. We use Pathbuilder, Discord for file sharing etc., and Owl Bear Rodeo for online combat maps.

Heh, well Supreme is being a little hard on himself. If you are looking for a dedicated GM running an adventure with great maps and an engaging story that is just now hitting its stride, this is a good game to join.

Well sounds interesting. I would be interested in giving it a try.

I am a returning player to the forum, having played a lot of PF1 and some PF2 in the past. Proposing to play an Elven wizard. Can set it up later today or tomorrow.

Also, Is there any way to get a first feeling for the campaign setting without spending 50 $ blindly?

Hi GM Kulko. That sounds great... And that concept would be perfect as there is an ideal place to bring you into the game as we get ready to level up and proceed to the next chapter.

Here is a link to our discord server which might be of some help. I found a wiki page at one time that was good... but can't find it now.

Feel free to develop a character and read the gameplay thread to get caught up.

Here is a link to our Owl Bear Rodeo campaign page as well.

Well!!! Down to one original player now. I'm starting to get a complex. This is a RAW game so keep that in mind if applying for the newly vacated healer position. Feel free to take over the existing "Fun" halfling cleric... of make your own.

I'll give this the old college try... but I'm starting to worry that my GM style is scaring people off. I try to make the game come alive to the characters and have been accused of being inflexible... however I like to think that I'm very flexible... Within the rules. You're not going to get free Recall Knowledge checks, you're not going to get prep/surprise actions, you will get (3) actions per round in combat, we will use the "Exploration" mode, and the "Downtime" mode.

If this doesn't scare you away, I welcome another player.

Bump!

Wolf PMd me that this would be an amazing campaign to join ...

Not sure that I can stomach being a happy go-lucky healing hobbit, but I could come up with something.

Throw it at me. Some kind of healer would be welcome.

Was just DMing Wolf about whether that meant the HEAL caster, or whether that meant a LoH specialist, or whether maybe that also meant the WIS monkey who took a lot of Medicine-Feats.

I'm good with all of those actually, just wondered what we felt we needed most. Lower HP teams tend to need in combat healing, higher HP teams tend to do fine with out-of-cbt Take 10 healers, so I wondered

Cleric would be preferred due yo the healing font being so useful in combat… but I’ll consider others

@ Evindyl

Feel free to go ahead and make your character. There are several places to introduce them in the next few sessions... and since we've just went to level 2 it's a good time to join.

If you'd like to take control of Alorea until you have your character ready that is an option as well.

Warpriest is not a bad choice as you can be the main in combat healer, and still make the character useful in other ways. I'm playing a DEX based one in another game... and he's pretty effective.

Link to Alorea (Level 2).

You need the paid version for Free Archtype (Choose from character options in the drop-down Hamburger in the upper left corner), as well as the ancestral paragon. This also allows custom items, and pets. It's pretty cheap... something like $ 7.00 for a lifetime license. If you just choose the archtype you want I can put it in as well. You can research these on Archives of Nethys.

Yeah, I meant I just didn't see it in that PDF of Alorea

I paid for Pathbuilder ages ago, and I am going to admit, I paid for the Web version AND the Mobile version. Gotta go all in sometimes!

Yeah. I did the same.

I chose the Dandy Dedication

If you want to continue with her feel free to adjust as desired. If she is to become an NPC then I'll leave her with that.

I think I am going to go in a slightly different direction with Variel, but I will send him to you on Discord shortly

Verdant Wheel

Thanks for the reachout @ scranford!

I am not interested in learning a new VTT - even one that is "easy" - so going to pass.

You kids have fun!

Just dotting in case this game is recruiting. I'm trying to learn the PF2 rules and would love to get in an active campaign.

You are in if you're interested in making a bard character.

I can do any class, I've only played a Fighter so far. I'll stat one up on Pathbuilder.

Want to PM me a link to the Discord? I clicked on the one above but it's dead now.

I'll do that when I get in front of my computer again later today.

Try this...

Awesome, worked!

Sadly, I don't think I'll have time for this right now.

That is absolutely a sad thing PP, it would be great to have you in the team :(

WE could use a healer for this campaign based in the Frog Gods Games / Necromancer Games setting of the Lost Lands. Currently at 2nd level. Using Discord for out of game discussion and file sharing, and Owlbear rodeo for combat maps.

I run Pathfinder 2e revised very RAW, and don't mind open minded, non-argumental victims... I mean players.

Description Barry is a very thick, muscular dwarf, who wears sturdy leather and woolen clothes almost exclusively. His hands are heavily calloused from many hours of work at the anvil, and his shoulders and arms show clear evidence of the frequent exercise. He wears his dark brown hair fairly long and tightly braided around his brow and down his back, collected in a series of iron and copper rings at the nape of his neck. His beard is often brushed back and contained in leather and bronze bands, forking towards his armpits and away from the danger area of sparks and such from an anvils surface. When dressed for combat, he wears well-made chain mail and a close-fitted helm, mostly unadorned save for the symbol of Trudd emblazoned on his shield’s face.

Welcome to the game Barry. Feel free to dot and delete in the gameplay thread. I'll work you into the game soon. Feel free to read up on the gameplay tread, and I'll get you up and running.
