As Anjo unleashes some primal power to heal a portion of his injuries, the ranger mentally marks and assesses Aslynn. Even injured and weakened the night hag looks frighteningly powerful, but Anjo notices multiple bad burn wounds and scars she seems to have taken from Zarta's mindscape defenses. Fire might be a strong tool to bring against her.

Glancing annoyed at the divine whip harassing her, Aslynn stretches out a clawed hand towards Atae. two motes shoot out at the cleric, looking almost like cackling heads in the seconds before they strike her.

Atae takes force damage: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (3, 3) + 2 = 8

The night hag then vanishes from sight!

Closer to you all, the small skull descends and gets right into Zabu's face and his space - this would provoke a Reactive Strike/AoO from Zabu if you have one. Menacing the gnome, it chomps at him and takes out a good chunk of his flesh.

Spitting the skin and blood onto the ground, a taunting voice spills out from it towards Manny

Hmp! Of course she disappears! I need to get close to her. Itka ignores the skull (Zabu's got it handled, after all), scanning the area for Aslynn.

Atae heals herself a bit more while re-directing her whip agaisnt the skull. It cracks against the bone, which is also latched onto by Zabu whose Bit chomps down into the off-guard deadhead. Hits. No bleed damage alas - its just a skull, with somehow even less marrow than a full skeleton. Honestly how its talking without lungs or lips is its own question...

Itka casts a quick incantation as strange-colored flames erupt around where Aslynn was last seen. The lights cling around an unseen form, outlining a vague image of the night hag with a spectral glow Making her Concealed only

As Itka advances, Anjo grows some wings and approaches too. The ranger looses two quick shots at the outlined hag, the first of which skewers her.

You see the glow-lit Aslynn races across and down towards Zabu. She turns fully visible once more as she lashes out at the gnome. Her claw rakes into Zabu and the wounds looks especially ominous to the gnome's mind.

Strike: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (7) + 23 = 30 for Slashing: 2d10 + 10 ⇒ (2, 9) + 10 = 21 plus Spirit: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Zabu: I need a DC 25 Fort save from you (necromancy, occult)

The skull meanwhile, stuck in Zabu's grip, bites back twice. Again improbably getting a good chunk of Zabu's angry tense flesh in the process.

Hmp. Excellent! Dredging up a power she rarely uses, a frosty shadow of Itka's arm shoots out, extending to touch Aslynn across an impossible distance as she chants harsh, brittle syllables that exit her mouth as vicious needles.

Taunts of varying levels of effectiveness start being flung around. BakBat's bit of wordplay unexpectedly seems to greatly fluster the night hag as he and Manny both through enhancements onto Zabu. Zabu also taunts Aslynn but focuses his efforts on demolishing the skull biting at him. Grabbing it tight, the gnome manages to bite and slash hard against the bone and under the trio of attacks it shatters and crumbles into harmless fragments. honestly dealing 56 damage and absorbing that many attacks against it is more than I expected from a level 5 monster here

Meanwhile Anjo and Itka focus their efforts on Aslynn herself. The half-orc witch tosses her most powerful curse at the hag. Aslynn in turn sneers as she fights it off...mostly - you notice her scratching a bit at her arms as if itching from the spell. And all three of Anjo's arrows miss this time.
And while it was hard to tell while she was invisible and just being outlined, now that she's clearly seen once again not only does Aslynn not look extra harmed but the flames on Anjo's missiles, but the arrow that is sticking out of her doesn't have any singe marks (she seems if anything the opposite of weak to Fire. Maybe your recollection about night hags was faulty...)

Atae lashes out with a ray of divine judgment at Aslynn. The vengeful beam strikes the night hag squarely searing some of her flesh, but the following whip she narrowly manages to dodge.

Shaking with anger, Aslynn swipes down at Zabu, though the attacks misses the gnome by a mile.

Turning past him to glare at the mage daring and partially succeeding to strike her, the hag snarls. "A Calistrian eh? You think you understand hate then? Vengeance? Spite? Well, in that case allow me to educate you!"

Aslynn slies past Zabu and Manny making a beeline towards the cleric. The bard whips at her as she moves but the swing is too slow. As she looms over Atae Aslynn slashes downwards with her second claw.

Four jagged slices dig right into Atae's chest. Manny's song blunts the impact slightly, but the force of the blow is simply too much: Atae crumbles bleeding and drifting into unconsciousness.

Atae is Dying 2 from that crit. I'll also need a Fort save from her (on top of the dying-ness)

Aslynn cackles "So: you hit me, I hit you. Has the lesson sunk in yet?" she taunts to Atae's dying form before then looking around to stare at the rest of you with wild eyes.

In the distance, behind the blue glow of the containment field, you can make out Pathfinders and Revecka working on some sort of large contraption connected to the cables that ring the area.

As Atae stands and tries to give herself a bit more of space between 'alive' and 'dead', Zabu rushes forwards and grabs tight onto Aslynn's leg. Kept in place for now, the gnome delivers a huge bite of his own! The taste of Aslynn is far from pleasant, but rivulets of blood start to pour from her leg as she cries out in pain.

"Mortal scum! I'll send what's left of your soul into a waking agony for that!"

Stretching up to her full height, Itka pours the moderate healing potion she had pulled out earlier down Zabu's throat. "Hmp. Drink up and shred her back."

I'm going to rule no: the spell specifies the maiden is ghostly and there is not mention of additional cover/line-of-effect influencing effects like other spells do (such as Personal Blizzard for example. That Maiden might keep her in place but would not prevent your own attacks.

Manny keeps singing, Itka patches Zabu back up a bit, and both and Anjo keep up the pressure! Unfortunately only Aslynn's own shadow lands a blow on her.

Aslynns twists about in Zabu's grip, suffering glancing blows from the magical 'maiden bu not trapped by its jaws. BakBat's beam also goes wide the hag continues to snarl.

"Your magicks are pathetic. Do you need me to show you real power again?"

As the hag squirms to raise her jagged claws up once more, Zabu shakes off a growing fog in his head From that failed fort save from one of the claw strikes you are Stupefied 1 Zabu and continues to try and savage the enemy before she can break free.

His jaws clamp down on Aslynn eliciting a howl of pain from her. "You mortals are nothing! Dust on the wind!"
A claw then digs into her side a moan escapes: "I am the creeping dread in the dark! The Sculptor of Fears!"
His other claw lashes out, loosening his grip in order to try and down her. "You will becom-"

She stops mid-rant and looks down, seeing Zabu's claw has cut a jagged wound across her chest. What color there is in her face starts to drain as the hag looks down at you and gives a final sneer. "You...you think this...this is over? I'll see you...in your dreams..."

As her eyes close, whatever supernatural force was elevating her fades and her body falls and crumples to the ground. Aslynn - the Nightmare Muse, the Darkness Behind You, the Terror Weaver - is dead.
