Please fill out the info, I filled out some of you on google docs, just doublecheck numbers to see if I have the correct values. Though not every skill is a secret check, like Athletics, I covered every skill just in case, this is my first time dming a special, and I'm going to use every tool I have to make it not slow down.

Also, looking forward to the game.
I'll be working on improving Sundamar's character sheet formatting. Currently, it is just the unformatted stat block.

This should be fun!
I have 2 glyphs for hero points. One for Xyntryx, since it's their first game, and one for someone random.

Making sure I give my players I rundown of the time and explanation as to how specials work. My first time running a special, but I've played several. From experience, you can be stuck in the middle of a mission before being forced onto the next part, or complete 2 or more missions before being forced onto the next part. Say part 1 has 4 different missions you can take on. As a team, you take on 1 mission, you decide and if completed I report success. Then you on another mission and if completed I report success. We are sharing successes with other groups. Let's assume there are say 10 groups, but the next part starts when 16 successes have been reported, giving the average group 1.6 successes. They gave me an estimate timeline, so you as a group can decide whether it is worth taking on the next mission or if you should take a shorter one. Say you completed one mission, but it is estimated 3 days before part 2 starts, you would be unlikely to finish a mission that says combat, but more likely to complete a mission that says diplomacy in that 3 days.
Introduction - 1 day - Starts 4 September (Literally in 1 minute)
Part 1 - 8 days - Starts 5 September
Part 2 - 8 days - Starts 13 September
1-day warning - 20 September
Part 3 - 17 days - Starts 21 September
"Crackling flames" - 26 September
1-day warning - 7 October
Part 4 - 12 days - Starts 8 October
"Barrier is about to fall" - 13 October
"The hunt is on" - 14 October
Conclusion - 20 October

Zekki would prefer skill checks, but is happy with any of the missions. To pick one, Mission 3. But that's random and I'm happy with any of the others as well.

DoubleGold |

Pelia, making sure you get paid what you are do. Unless you have a rare or uncommon background where you don't get a lore, your character should have a minimum of 2 lores. 1 Lore from your background, and 1 lore from you school or fielded agent. Of course, everyone gets Pathfinder society lore for free, but I'm not counting it.

DoubleGold |

Yeah, I looked at the google docs, and saw you were missing one from your school. Technically everyone gets 3 lores for free if you count pathfinder society lore. Some start with 4 or more if you pick an ancestry feat that gives you a lore. Or a ton more if you are time traveler.

![]() |

It's confusing how they write it in two different places in the guide but the Pathfinder Society lore is actually replaced by the School lore if you decide to take one of those at first level.
Which sucks, because an agent should get it for free...

I bot in 24 hours anyway, so if Chomper doesn't post by 6:06 PM eastern time Sept 6th, exactly 24 hours from the time you encountered the dryads, I roll for him. If it wasn't a special I'd not bot, but for specials, I count exactly 24 hours from when the last skill check challenge started or if in combat 24 hours from when your last turn started. So If combat starts on Sept 8th at 8:00 am eastern time, but you couldn't even start your turn until Sept 9th at 9:00 pm because you were last in init and has to wait for other players and enemies, then you'd have until Sept 10th at 9:00 pm to post. An exact 24 hours, assuming I'm not away from my computer during that exact time.
Ok, guess Chomper got botted. No issues with that. Mostly can only post between 3pm-6pm pdt. Didn't post choice because it was already made before I could choose. The next choice for skill challenge was posted 6:06pm yesterday after I already had to log off so right now is the time I would have posted. Is this Special in that much of a time crunch?

DoubleGold |

Okay, I'll be a little more lenient, didn't know. I assume everyone checks in once a day. It is assumed you post at least once every 24 hours. My assumption is that most people check in the same every day. The specials do move fast. I didn't realize the fact that one could log off a few minutes after the time I make my last post and thus a person only missing it by a few hours.
I can extend the time to 30 hours for everyone which is a day and a quarter, cause you would have made it in that allowed time, and most would make it even with work in the way.

GM DoubleGold,
I don't mind being botted when its necessary. Just be advised that I'm in the Philippines, SouthEast Asia GMT+8. So it's likely that I'm able to post just as most guys in the West would be going to sleep.

![]() |

Specials have a strict time limit on what happens, so they move pretty fast. Try to do as much as possible in one post, especially if you have limited time to respond. I will post alternate options in spoilers, if it becomes relevant.
Example: Feinting. You can try to feint multiple times, so I'll post several in case the first doesn't work, then the attacks I might get. The GM can resolve them as the combat progresses.

DoubleGold |

Apologies, it hasn't been a full 24 hours from the bot. I know for a fact that my last post in gameplay was at 6:08 pm in eastern time zone, but it is saying 3:08 eastern time zone, so I really botted Chomper at 21 hours in, I guess I have time zone settings wrong on Paizo or it defaults to Arizona time or wherever their headquarters is location.

You don't get a long rest until you are on part 2, so unless the cleric can do something...
That being said, since you get a long rest when on part 2, you might as well start off combat burning your highest spell slots.

![]() |

GM DoubleGold, No problem. I am fine with being botted but just did not want to end up being botted the whole game if it was going to be fast paced.

The cleric has a Scroll of Restoration, the spell of which targets just one person. I can use that on one of our party, who will lead the rest. I'll look through our roster to see whom I'll cast it on.
As for fatigue, only spells like restoration or a long rest removes it.
EDIT: I'm going with our Ysoki, who has a very high perception of +9. But we'll have to wait for battle to finish before I cast this.

You actually could have cast it before the battle, if you want to say you did. Your characters actually didn't immediately go from mission to mission. They probably took a few minutes, or maybe even an hour or two before going onto the next mission, but definitely not 8 hours or a long rest worth.

Thank you! So, are these the elves we are supposed to be rescuing or are they elsewhere? I'm a little confused.

DoubleGold |

Thank you! So, are these the elves we are supposed to be rescuing or are they elsewhere? I'm a little confused.
These elves on the map are hostile. There may or may not be other elves around that need your help, but you currently do not see them. I know it don't make much sense. Read the spoiler if you need to as it will make sense to you, or wait till after combat is over.

DoubleGold |

GM Dennis said he would wait for every table to have at least 2 successes before moving on. We have accomplished this. The next part starts on or before Sept 13th. We can take on another mission and we may or may not be done in time, or you all can bide your time and wait till part 2 starts. If we are in the middle of a mission and we don't finish, we just move on with the mission unfinished, but you will all still get a long rest when part 2 starts regardless.

DoubleGold |

To answer Chompers question, you automatically get a long rest after the mission ends and part 2 begins. So everyone is at full spell slots and full HP.

![]() |

I assume the infused items from the elves are lost after the long rest.
Sundamar can use the +1 striking cold iron shortsword but doesn't need it.
If it would improve anyone else's offensive ability then feel free to carry it.
The same goes for the two potions of lesser healing potions.

![]() |

Technically Chomper is after the wolves, but he does hit
Understood. I just did not want to hold up the game if there was a lot of posts this morning before I could post again.

![]() |

I vote we do mission #4 then take the 10 min rest after that is completed to get back all spells and HP.

DoubleGold |

Will post mission number 4 in the morning. Even if you are not using the long rest, you still get a 10 regular minute rest between each mission, so you might as well treat wounds. If I post mission 4 before you have a chance to heal, you can retcon it, hey I would have treat wounds on Chomper.
