Chumwi moves to protect Dorrance's flank. As he moves, the sound of thunder seems to move with him as a jolt of electricity jumps from his hand to the two engaged vampires.

Dorrance also finds the creature resists damage, but gets a good hit in that leaves them bloodied.

Chum drops 4 then 1 takes plasma to the pale cheek. As it falls the weird mist dissolves the shrieking creature completely. It seems like whatever ritual here makes the vampires vulnerable to easier destruction than normal… at least, these.

#2 moves in and strikes at Sylvia —

It then grabs sylvia.

He then recalls what Dorrance had told him about vampires and drops his blade into the ground point first. He lifts the rainbow tailed songbird pin from his coat and holds it boldly before himself. "Begone!"

Chumwi doesn't have time to admire his spellwork before he finds himself suddenly grabbed by another vampire (should also be down 10 hp, right?). He scrambles to free one hand enough to grasp the wooden medallion hanging around his neck (a religious symbol of Shyimye-Magalla), turning the two faces to be clearly visible to the creature (hopefully effects #s 2 and 3).

With his gigantic size, Iniquity does not even need to release his asp coil to reach the vampire wrestling with Sylvia. "Your second act is derivative, I fear," he says as his blade moved with preternatural swiftness toward the vampire. He then shifts a ring on the hilt, and his sword breaks apart into a segmented series of blades on a flexible wire, which he whips around in a fearsome display of martial prowess before snapping the blade taught.

Well, I did Critically Succeed if it's modifier is +13... and pumped feats, precious skill trainings, and gold into Performance buffs, so I don't feel so bad. :)

"That is the true face of evil: cowardice," Iniquity says as the remaining vampire flees. He sheathes his blade and rests a hand upon the wound near his neck. His hand glows with a rainbow shimmer as most of the flesh knits back together under Shelyn's grace. "Who else is in need of care?"

Chumwi pulls out a small handful of berries and once again breathes healing energy into them. He pops two of them into his mouth... (the damage wasn't listed in the tracker, but I think I was injured for 10 pts when the thing grabbed me)

A trickle of energy seems to flow upward, winding around her feet and dispersing into her body. After a long minute of chanting, the energy fades and Chumwi lowers his staff. "There we are. Feel better?" Casting restoration (4th) to remove the Drained condition.

If there's time after this, Chumwi will refocus before moving on/going to sleep/whatever is next.

The defeated vampires leave behind several valuables, as their gear drops in heaps from their mist-dissolved bodies. The treasures include a golden sword sheath, a silver earring shaped like a dragon holding a ruby, and a severed finger still wearing a gold ring. These items are etched with delicate Razmiri iconography.
