De we have a room in the Pathfinder Lodge? That we can leave some of our stuff.
The Repair Kit is very useful and something Ashun would probably get, but given my strength is 10, my bulk limit is 5+9L (right?), so he probably wouldn't be carrying around much more than he is right now.

So yes you can leave things at the lodge. If you do that, you can’t use them during the adventure unless it is reasonable to run back to the lodge for them. This adventure that wouldn’t work.

You could also ask others in the group to carry items for you.

Nice! Good to know.
I'm going to buy so much junk and useless stuff to leave there, so I can use it for downtime or RP between adventures.

Bitty already had the healing kit since she has battle medicine.

Ashun, it's also possible to pick up a pack animal to carry stuff. Me, I always buys riding dogs because they can go pretty much anywhere my characters can.

Some sort of animal to haul stuff is really useful for tiny characters like sprites.

Having another animal sounds fun. I have no idea what would Ashun get that would fit him though... Maybe a mule or a donkey (or giant gecko?)
Where can I find a trained Roc?

In all seriousness, I'll probably need one in the future. Some tools and equipment can get heavy.

Currently there is no way I am aware of to get a trained roc or giant gecko. I think you were joking when asking for those, but figured I should state it since there were ways to get those in PF1.

The CRB has animals listed as equipment.

Pack and riding animals.

Just don't try to use them in combat. They will likely die.

Oh, I didn't know that about PF1. I played very little of it, maybe half an adventure.

That is very cool.

Ashun would definitely be too worried to use them in combat. Even Bea he's extra careful with.

Animals are fun and I really like having them as companions.

But while looking for animals, I saw that I could get my favourite animal as a pet. How many raccoons do I need to fit in a trenchcoat to use them as a pack animal?

With the PFS guidelines website down, I can't remember what the school items available are. I think my choices are a healing potion of some small size or a talisman of some variety. Something like that.

I'll probably just take the healing potion.

No need to apologize. Different GMs will have different styles.

I hate the multiple rolls because I’ve had people use that to hunt for a good roll. That is not kosher, when they do that I will use the first roll with the most appropriate skill.

Other GMs have their own things that they want or don’t want. For something like this, I do not think there is consistency.

Ami Mercury wrote:
I just hope this isn't like the last game Ami was in - only one d20 roll was above ten - I'll hold off on throwing in a Hero Point unless it becomes necessary

You really need to decide before seeing the results of other people’s rolls. The decision to Hero Point or not happens after you know it is a failure or critical failure but before you get results. It isn’t something you can wait and see how everyone else did.

You got a critical failure.

The number and degree of successes determines how far you get in a day and relative placement in the race.

I think it may also be simpler to determine which damage type it deals now that spell schools are gone too.

We intentionally started before the errata dropped. We are using the pre-remaster stuff.

Arcane Cascade was a matter of table variation before the errata. We will go with pre-errata stance but use the interpretation that the prerequisite was only for going into stance. That is the way that some tables ran it.

I think that is the most consistent way to handle it.

So I’m no expert on kineticist. Looks like Extract Element is normally handled by a Fort save?

Is there anything about it that gives you fine control, or is it just rip all of that element away?

I am trying to figure out a fair way to handle this. I have one idea, but am not sure that the player would like that.

That would not work.

Alright, it was pointed out that Extract Elements is vs a Creature. The ice is not a valid target.

So I believe we are left with neither Base Kinesis (Suppress) nor Extract Elements working in this case.

If you’ve got something else, that would be great. Just explain what you are doing and (since I don’t know the kineticist that well) how it fits into the rules.

I don't think so. Otherwise they wouldn't make good enemies in encounters and Wilding Word Witches would be very sad that they never get to use their special spell.

It generally isn’t possible to do that. Even with Wild Empathy it doesn’t work so well if they are hostile. It will depend on the situation.

It has been a bit of a disaster of a couple of days for me.

I got horribly sick with some sort of flu - I'm getting over it now, but it still isn't great.

A tire blew out on the truck that my oldest was taking to work. He had to drive on the rim for a bit to get it somewhere safe, and then I had to drive it on the rim for another shorter bit to get it to the tire dealership because I couldn't get the wheel off. Fortunately the rim survived the ordeal and didn't need replaced.

The electricity on the entire lower floor of my house shorted out and we are without power for most things for a while. Including all of our computers. I had to run ethernet cable up to the upper floor and plug the router in up there so that we would have wifi and can do things on my phone. Such as call electricians. This morning I finally broke down and stole the two extension cords that we are using for keeping our two deep freezers running and used them to run my computer long enough to pull up my password manager and get access to my paizo account and some other such things. Because it may still be a few days before I can get anyone over here to look at what went wrong.
