Loot from the room:
Anvil of Creation. You wonder which plane it came from as they are all attuned to a specific plane as it was created there. Each day if you work on a specific element that is attuned to the anvil you can bestow a magical enhancement of up to +3 enhancement each day.
A magical stone hammer studded with emeralds and with silver lines is a crafting hammer, a magical tool to help with creating items, it confers a +5 bonus on craft checks. Once per day it can be used to make an object as if you casted Create armaments without the need of the material component, otherwise with the diamonds you can use the ability at will. It appears that only an evil undead can use it and it has the curse of hellforged upon it, anything touching it will take 1d6 fire damage per round.
dark bladed greatsword (Saronis) (not id)
2d6 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7 magical weapons
2d6 ⇒ (5, 1) = 6 magical items
Piles of treasure of all sorts, mostly metallic.

The amount of undead hunting you likely all level up once, no twice!
1st level - 10 wishes
2nd level - 20 wishes
3rd level - 30 wishes
4th level - 40 wishes
5th level - 50 wishes
Likely didn't use all of our wishes so max out at 110 wishes in total.
So Cyril used 50 wishes to level to 5th-level. So does that mean Cyril has 60 more wishes available?

Level 4
HP: 1d8 ⇒ 7 + 6 Con + 8 Cha + 1 Toughness = 22hp
BAB +1 Reflex +1 Will +1
Studied Combat (Ex)
With a keen eye and calculating mind, an investigator can assess the mettle of his opponent to take advantage of gaps in talent and training. At 4th level, an investigator can use a move action to study a single enemy that he can see. Upon doing so, he adds 1/2 his investigator level as an insight bonus on melee attack rolls and as a bonus on damage rolls against the creature. This effect lasts for a number of rounds equal to his Intelligence modifier (minimum 1) or until he deals damage with a studied strike, whichever comes first. The bonus on damage rolls is precision damage, and is not multiplied on a critical hit.
An investigator can only have one target of studied combat at a time, and once a creature has become the target of an investigator’s studied combat, he cannot become the target of the same investigator’s studied combat again for 24 hours unless the investigator expends one use of inspiration when taking the move action to use this ability.
Studied Strike (Ex)
At 4th level, an investigator can choose to make a studied strike against the target of his studied combat as a free action, upon successfully hitting his studied target with a melee attack, to deal additional damage. The damage is 1d6 at 4th level, and increases by 1d6 for every 2 levels thereafter (to a maximum of 9d6 at 20th level). The damage of studied strike is precision damage and is not multiplied on a critical hit; creatures that are immune to sneak attacks are also immune to studied strike.
If the investigator’s attack used a weapon that deals nonlethal damage (like a sap, whip, or an unarmed strike), he may choose to have the additional damage from studied strike be nonlethal damage instead of lethal damage. If the investigator chose to make an attack with a lethal weapon instead deal nonlethal damage (with the usual –4 penalty), the studied strike damage may also deal nonlethal damage.
The investigator must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach such a spot. An investigator cannot use studied strike against a creature with concealment.
Deeds
At 4th level, a sleuth gains the following deeds. These abilities replace swift alchemy.
Make It Count (Ex): When a sleuth uses studied strike inspired strike , he can spend 1 luck point to apply an investigator talent that he doesn’t already know and which affects studied strike inspired strike to his studied strike inspired strike . He must be able to fulfill that talent’s prerequisites.
Run Like Hell (Ex): At 4th level, a sleuth can spend 1 luck point to gain a +20-foot bonus to his speed for 1 minute. Furthermore, while under the effect of this bonus, if he moves more than his normal speed in a round, he gains a +4 bonus to AC until the start of his next turn.
Second Chance (Ex): At 4th level, when a sleuth rolls an inspiration die or uses daring deed, he can spend 1 luck point to reroll either the inspiration or the daring deed die. If he rolls a 6 or higher on this reroll, he does not regain a luck point, and no matter what he rolls on either roll, he must keep the reroll result, even if it is lower.

Now, don't forget to add +3 Int, +3 Wis, and +3 Cha to Arthur, because after 100 years, Stavian is now venerable: but as a sublime creature, he does not get any of the negative physical modifiers!
Is it too late for Cyril to go on the time travel/100 years sabbatical? Once I read about the post on my phone last night, I dreamed about the implications. In order not to cause a temporary paradox, Cyril would have to remain hidden in the hilltop laboratory. Just like Stavian, Cyril would spend his years bettering himself. Stavian got Cyril several empty spellbooks. The wizard would definitely write down more spells he learned, acquire the foraging skills in Survival, learn new languages, perfect his string instrument playing and public speaking, practice card tricks until he could master his Sleight of Hand.
And if anyone else when on the 100 year journey, they would have to live with Stavian for all that time. All disagreements and quarrels would eventually be replaced with deeply known the person, maybe even experimenting in homosexuality to fight back the loneliness. Until eventually creating a true bond that lasted 100 years.
I'd love to hear how you decided how many skill points, feats, and ability score increases Stavian acquired and where they were put.

So, how much are we going to do in the past? Are we going to see if relationships will be strengthened or strained? How much 'hand-waving' will occur?

Lord Cyril Lucan |
![Harrowed Summoning](http://cdn.paizo.com/image/avatar/PZO9446-Summoner_500.jpeg)
Well, we could hand wave a lot of things, like constructing the laboratory. Maybe make some rolls to see if a century together strengthened or weakened relationships. Also, you would know how much we advanced in spells known, skills gained, etc. Again, we could make some rolls to see how much we did and learned in 100 years.
Don't forget to give all venerable npcs and pcs +3 to all mental stats.

Yup yep! Sounds good.
So what skills would people pick up. Likely just in background skills. Now we can specialize and help each other rather than Arthur doing it all. Let's pick 3 skills and 1 k skill to improve, based on what is made.
Arthur 2 ranks in craft carpentry, traits bonus +2
Lady Velris-Stavian does not care to work hard or get dirty. She eventually works on craft gemcutting.

Okay. Cyril has had 100 years to study and work out different processes for understanding.
With the access to the anvil, Cyril will gain knowledge in Craft (weapons). Cyril will also look inward and gain knowledge in Perception and Perform (string). His Knowledge skill will be, of course (arcane).
And at the end of 100 years, Cyril would have read all six Tomes of Power and become venerable, so the investigative wizard will receive +5 Strength, +5 Dexterity, +5 Constitution, +8 Intellect, +8 Wisdom, and +8 Charisma.

My thought is after the 100 years of study, everyone who left for that journey, had to wait until their past selves made the step back in time, so they didn't create a time paradox.
I'd like to think, 100 year Cyril left the blank spellbooks there for his younger self to find, but made several more for his own arcane library of 1st and 2nd-level spells.

But with you entering the timeliness with Arthur you have made a different universe.
You would have the memories of seeing the place before hand so you can help it be made. But changes have been made.
Technically if you want to think about a paradox: those books won't be made by Arthur as you are now making them...

Swashbucklers are proficient with simple and martial weapons, as well as light armor and bucklers.
Panache (Ex)
More than just a lightly armored warrior, a swashbuckler is a daring combatant. She fights with panache: a fluctuating measure of a swashbuckler’s ability to perform amazing actions in combat. At the start of each day, a swashbuckler gains a number of panache points equal to her Charisma modifier (minimum 1). Her panache goes up or down throughout the day, but usually cannot go higher than her Charisma modifier (minimum 1), though feats and magic items can affect this maximum. A swashbuckler spends panache to accomplish deeds (see below), and regains panache in the following ways.
Critical Hit with a Light or One-Handed Piercing Melee Weapon:
Each time the swashbuckler confirms a critical hit with a light or one-handed piercing melee weapon, she regains 1 panache point. Confirming a critical hit on a helpless or unaware creature or a creature that has fewer Hit Dice than half the swashbuckler’s character level doesn’t restore panache.
Killing Blow with a Light or One-Handed Piercing Melee Weapon:
When the swashbuckler reduces a creature to 0 or fewer hit points with a light or one-handed piercing melee weapon attack while in combat, she regains 1 panache point. Destroying an unattended object, reducing a helpless or unaware creature to 0 or fewer hit points, or reducing a creature that has fewer Hit Dice than half the swashbuckler’s character level to 0 or fewer hit points doesn’t restore any panache.
Deeds
Swashbucklers spend panache points to accomplish deeds. Most deeds grant the swashbuckler a momentary bonus or effect, but some provide longer-lasting effects. Some deeds remain in effect while the swashbuckler has at least 1 panache point, but do not require expending panache to be maintained. A swashbuckler can only perform deeds of her level or lower. Unless otherwise noted, a deed can be performed multiple successive times, as long as the swashbuckler has or spends the required number of panache points to perform the deed.
Derring-Do (Ex):
At 1st level, a swashbuckler can spend 1 panache point when she makes an Acrobatics, Climb, Escape Artist, Fly, Ride, or Swim check to roll 1d6 and add the result to the check. She can do this after she makes the check but before the result is revealed. If the result of the d6 roll is a natural 6, she rolls another 1d6 and adds it to the check. She can continue to do this as long as she rolls natural 6s, up to a number of times equal to her Dexterity modifier (minimum 1).
Dodging Panache (Ex):
At 1st level, when an opponent attempts a melee attack against the swashbuckler, the swashbuckler can as an immediate action spend 1 panache point to move 5 feet; doing so grants the swashbuckler a dodge bonus to AC equal to her Charisma modifier (minimum 0) against the triggering attack. This movement doesn’t negate the attack, which is still resolved as if the swashbuckler had not moved from the original square. This movement is not a 5-foot step; it provokes attacks of opportunity from creatures other than the one who triggered this deed. The swashbuckler can only perform this deed while wearing light or no armor, and while carrying no heavier than a light load.
Opportune Parry and Riposte (Ex):
At 1st level, when an opponent makes a melee attack against the swashbuckler, she can spend 1 panache point and expend a use of an attack of opportunity to attempt to parry that attack. The swashbuckler makes an attack roll as if she were making an attack of opportunity; for each size category the attacking creature is larger than the swashbuckler, the swashbuckler takes a –2 penalty on this roll. If her result is greater than the attacking creature’s result, the creature’s attack automatically misses. The swashbuckler must declare the use of this ability after the creature’s attack is announced, but before its attack roll is made. Upon performing a successful parry and if she has at least 1 panache point, the swashbuckler can as an immediate action make an attack against the creature whose attack she parried, provided that creature is within her reach. This deed’s cost cannot be reduced by any ability or effect that reduces the number of panache points a deed costs.
Kip-Up (Ex):
At 3rd level, while the swashbuckler has at least 1 panache point, she can kip-up from prone as a move action without provoking an attack of opportunity. She can kip-up as a swift action instead by spending 1 panache point.
Menacing Swordplay (Ex):
At 3rd level, while she has at least 1 panache point, when a swashbuckler hits an opponent with a light or one-handed piercing melee weapon, she can choose to use Intimidate to demoralize that opponent as a swift action instead of a standard action.
Precise Strike (Ex):
At 3rd level, while she has at least 1 panache point, a swashbuckler gains the ability to strike precisely with a light or one-handed piercing melee weapon (though not natural weapon attacks), adding her swashbuckler level to the damage dealt. To use this deed, a swashbuckler cannot attack with a weapon in her other hand or use a shield other than a buckler. She can even use this ability with thrown light or one-handed piercing melee weapons, so long as the target is within 30 feet of her. Any creature that is immune to sneak attacks is immune to the additional damage granted by precise strike, and any item or ability that protects a creature from critical hits also protects a creature from the additional damage of a precise strike. This additional damage is precision damage, and isn’t multiplied on a critical hit. As a swift action, a swashbuckler can spend 1 panache point to double her precise strike’s damage bonus on the next attack. This benefit must be used before the end of her turn, or it is lost. This deed’s cost cannot be reduced by any ability or effect that reduces the amount of panache points a deed costs (such as the Signature Deed feat).
Eyes of the Storm (Ex)
At 3rd level, whenever she has at least 1 panache point, a corsair can see three times as far as normal in non-magical fog. In magical fog, she can see normally for 10 feet; after that, creatures and objects have partial concealment for the next 10 feet and total concealment thereafter.
This deed replaces swashbuckler initiative.
Swashbuckler Finesse (Ex)
At 1st level, a swashbuckler gains the benefits of the Weapon Finesse feat with light or one-handed piercing melee weapons, and she can use her Charisma score in place of Intelligence as a prerequisite for combat feats. This ability counts as having the Weapon Finesse feat for purposes of meeting feat prerequisites.
Charmed Life (Ex) 3/3x/day
At 2nd level, the swashbuckler gains a knack for getting out of trouble. Three times per day as an immediate action before attempting a saving throw, she can add her Charisma modifier to the result of the save. She must choose to do this before the roll is made. At 6th level and every 4 levels thereafter, the number of times she can do this per day increases by one (to a maximum of 7 times per day at 18th level).
Swagger (Ex)
At 3rd level, a corsair’s confident swagger unnerves her foes and inspires her crew. She gains a +1 bonus on Intimidate checks, and the DC of Intimidate checks made against her increases by 1. She and her allies gain a +1 morale bonus on Profession (sailor) checks. These bonuses and her Intimidate DC increase by 1 for every 4 levels beyond 3rd.
This ability replaces nimble.
Bonus Feats
At 4th level and every 4 levels thereafter, a swashbuckler gains a bonus feat in addition to those gained from normal advancement. These bonus feats must be selected from those listed as combat feats. Swashbuckler levels are considered fighter levels for the purpose of meeting combat feat prerequisites.
In addition, upon reaching 4th level and every 4 levels thereafter, a swashbuckler can choose to learn a new bonus feat in place of a bonus feat she has already learned. In effect, the swashbuckler loses the bonus feat in exchange for the new one. The old feat cannot be one that was used as a prerequisite for another feat, prestige class, or other ability. A swashbuckler can only change one feat at any given level, and must choose whether or not to swap the feat at the time she gains a new bonus feat for the level.
Swashbuckler Weapon Training (Ex) +1
At 5th level, a swashbuckler gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with one-handed or light piercing melee weapons. While wielding such a weapon, she gains the benefit of the Improved Critical feat. These attack and damage bonuses increase by 1 for every 4 levels beyond 5th level (to a maximum of +4 at 17th level).

Saffire is also there, which is making things awkward for Cyril as the new cleric keeps flirting with him. Both have made very close thanks to the century sabbatical. This is also the reason Cyril hasn't tried to seduce Zellida.
