**HOUSE GM ANNOUNCEMENT**
The assembled Pathfinders set up camp before the shimmering doorway, the healers among the group offering their magic to heal any remaining wounds and cure any lingering ailments before the company beds down for the evening.
The following morning, Oraiah Tolal addresses the assembled Pathfinders standing beside the portal. ”Well, everyone, this is it. We have reached the Door of Seasons. This crown should allow us to open it. We don’t know exactly what awaits us on the other side, though we do know that it is not of this world. Be prepared for anything. May Alseta guide us through this passageway.” She holds the crown in front of the Door, and the shimmering magic within dissipates.
The demiplane on the other side of the door is green and vibrant, but the plants take on an otherworldly quality. A half-orc man, his age difficult to determine, is bound by vines and flowers. He looks up. His voice is halting and hoarse, as though he had not used it in a long time, “Can it be...Pathfinders?”
After a moment, Oraiah Tolal realizes who he is. “How can this be? Gregaro Voth! You’re still alive!”
The man replies, “It is me. How many years has it been? Wait, there’s no time. That crown! It’s the key to this plane! We’ve got to use it!” As Oraiah Tolal places the crown on Voth’s head, a strange wave emanates from the crown and passes over the assembled Pathfinders. Voth looks hopeful for a moment but then struggles against his bonds, still held fast.
“That would have been too easy. It’s going to take some time to harness the magic to unlock the power of the crown, and Qxal won’t wait long.”
Oraiah Tolal begins to direct the assembled forces. “Pathfinders, it’s time to act! Some of you need to help Voth with the crown. I’m sure we have a ritual to help him attune to it. The rest of you, be on alert! The Thorned Monarch could attack at any time!”

"Looks like our ambushers retreated after you gave that horse... ugh. I'd run, too." Miladistra looks at the carnage. "Well, best to be on our way."
Miladistra spends the night inhaling the smells of the desert, watching critters run around the forest night, and listening to the cries of the wild. It's all new sensations that she tries to accommodate to.
The morning brings her to Gregaro Voth. She frowns as she sees the man restrained. Her frown grows as the crown doesn't work immediately. "It's never easy, is it?"

• Nature to control the primal magic involved.
• Occultism to know about binding souls to objects.
• Performance to add finesse to the ritual.
• Survival to find appropriate components.
• Thievery to manipulate the ritual components.

Jinlong heals Deroff while Miladistra asks some of the more experienced Pathfinders for what this could be.
Miladistra knows this creature to be an Elanax, immune to fire and weak against cold iron.
Elananxes typically hunt alone, but sometimes these cunning and malicious hunters of the First World roam in packs called “billows” to take down large prey. Like many house cats, elananxes are not content to merely track and devour prey, but prefer to toy with their victims, drawing joy and excitement from the fear and pain of those they capture. To this end, elananxes rarely use their cinder dispersal ability to evade their targets, instead opting to foil their quarry just before the end of the hunt—though, as selfish creatures who wish to live to hunt again, elananxes often reserve one use of this ability, just in case.
Because of their clever and malicious ways, elananxes are favored as hunting companions by redcaps, who go out of their way to befriend or make deals with these creatures. Redcaps also flnd great sport in hunts where competing elananxes chase a single creature. Although they’re large enough to serve as mounts for redcaps, elananxes despise being ridden and resist such attempts—little is as sure to cause a supposedly friendly elananx to turn on its redcap ally than a foolhardy attempt to treat the fey cat as a horse!
Elananxes have a strange affinity to forest fires. Because they are immune to the damage caused by flickering flames, they enjoy capering and caterwauling through the smoky, burning ruins of forest infernos. Some have even been known to use their burning bites to deliberately light undergrowth on fire, simply so they might experience the beauty of the flames combined with the inevitable pain such disasters inflict on other creatures.

Reflex DC 22 (Glitterdust): 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (18) + 16 = 34
Deroff bites at the fey and misses as Miladistra covers the area in glitter but it rolls out of the way. The small pixie sprite flits down the path firing an arrow from its longbow.

Klank's ears perk up beneath his helm as Milly rattles off the cat's full biography. Cold iron? Check. Flame resistant? Check. Time to get hammering. He hustles down towards the cat, taking a careful last step as he reaches it.
"Time to put this ember out." He swings his hammer.

Rhaegal's Nature (T): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
Dab hunts the pixie as he quickly draws a longbow and fires through its wings. Unfortunately Rhaegal doesn't know much about Pixie Fey as his ray of frost also misses, icing up the dirt path instead. Bastian raises his shield, flailing the feline's side. Kernal Klank tries the same, though his flail ends up barely missing as the feline dodges at the last moment.
The Elanax bites and claws at Bastian as it hisses sharply at the Champion.
