Iarann's metaphor about spitting on bronze bemuses the lizards, but they definitely understand his point about chopping off tongues. The smaller lizards back away as he talks, while the bigger one pauses. "Your skin is soft, but your words are good and you look strong. We can hunt together."
Whew, down to the wire! Nice epic crit. Success!

You walk with a way with the megafauna; they slink off soon enough when they hear about some crispy fire-bobcats they can eat.
______
Sometime later, you come across Fola Barun, who's reading a note handed to her. “As if the Thorned Monarch weren’t enough, it seems a group of carnivorous plants has decided that travelers make easy prey. They have accosted scouts in the forest ahead. Go forward and find the ones that are proving an active danger. Meanwhile, I’ll survey the nearby flora for other potential threats.”
You move into the forest. A little while later you come to a place that had been burnt maybe a decade ago; stumps and fallen trees dot the landscape while patches of bushes grow here and there.

Mandra 4: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (7) + 20 = 27
A breeze rustles the trees. Iarann suddenly notices the forest is quiet… too quiet. He notices movement in the cluster of bushes ahead! He spots some shapes but thinks there are more he can't locate quite yet.
A moment later you all get that same feeling of time moving in 6-second increments. Fafrd also notes shapes moving in the bushes and while he can shout for danger it's too late to Point it Out!

"Well!" Iarann is exited. Once the lizards are gone he looks at the others, "I'm glad that worked. My next idea was to see if one would let me ride on him and if I could hold on without him throwin' me on me pumpkin, we'd be friends."
------------------
"OI! I think there are some evil trees for choppin!" Iarann of course can't see them exactly, but it doesn't stop him from closing in. "TIMBER!!!!"
He rushes forward, and then Points Out what he sees.

GM Doug H |

Private discussion with oplayer; Iarann wants to Seek with the extra action.
Iran moves forward, Seeking enemies. He sees that two large bushes are floating above the ground, and have vines that writhe with extremely sharp thorns. In addition, he sees four creepy, child-shaped tubers lurking in the bushes behind their larger companions. [ooc}Art on slide.[/ooc]
I will assume the dwarf Points Out the most dangerous closest enemy, making it Hidden
The big bush blinks open its eyes and stares hatefully at the dwarf. It floats to the left and lashes out with a 20-foot long vine —
Vine: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20
Vine: 1d20 + 17 - 5 ⇒ (8) + 17 - 5 = 20
— the sharp thorns snap against the dirt at Iarann's feet!
