This is the place for all ooc discussions.
PFS1 7-02 Slides also linked at the top. Please add your token and establish marching order on slide 2, also provide any relevant information for the rest of the party or myself.
Feel free to read the blurb on slide 1 and make any introductions as you gather.

I believe I had the problem you experienced, Cade.
I tried logging into my Google account and then accessing the slides, and it worked!
⛔
I wonder if this is a new Google security measure?

![]() |

He probably just opened up permissions to us with our email addresses. I just have to guess which email addy I used now :)
Up until now I thought access was to those with the link, but since we’re a regular group now it makes sense to tighten up security a bit more.

I think I have everything filled in. I didn't have any issues with the slides.

I had to go back and review which scenarios Cade played to see if he's been in the River Kingdoms before. In doing so, I noted that Yours is mined ran the Sky Key Solution for him :)
...
And apparently some other faces were there as I dig deeper :P

I remember having fun during that game :)
I enjoyed turning Numbat’s gnome into a colorful skeletal undead, and Hawthwile’s Angry Magic Tree into a naked deciduous rose-topped undead tree skellie.
I also got to turn Kreighton Shaine into an older version of himself.

Hi GM Numbat,
I would like to use the Nira’s Grattitude boon below on the Knowledge (nature) check, please, together with my Faction Pin.
After you roll a Knowledge check, Perception check, or Sense Motive check but before the results are revealed, you can cross this boon off of your Chronicle sheet to roll a second time using Nira’s bonus instead (6 + your character level), representing Nira’s insights.
This act is mentally taxing, and Nira cannot provide this assistance more than once.
I would then like to use one each of the following boons on two of Chunhua’s heal checks, working in parallel with Dhovahk, on the rolls Dhovahk was weakest in, if you’ll allow it.
You can check a box that precedes this boon to use inspiration, as per the investigator ability (Pathfinder RPG Advanced Class Guide 31).
If you already have inspiration, you can check a box to increase your inspiration die by one step (from 1d6 to 1d8, or 1d8 to 1d10) for one roll.
You may check a box next to this boon to cast burst of insight. If you are at least 7th level, you may check two boxes to cast synaptic pulse (DC 14)

Note for the GM: I will record my alchemical purchases (140gp) on my Inventory Tracking Sheet, GM Numbat.
Chunhua will also hide her club under a convenient bush, to ensure her encumbrance remains in the 'light load' category.

A couple of questions about the Attack on Lu Yan. I will apologize in advance for not stating it, but I think I would have used my Wand of Mage Armor right before the clock struck, expecting trouble. I'll understand if you disallow based on the fact I didn't say it.
Also, what ancestry does this enemy have a favored enemy bonus against? I ask, ask while Lu Yan is Half Elf, he has a strange SU ability that means he counts as a Dragon instead of a Human for favored enemy bonuses.
Yeah, I intentionally allowed time in the lead up to THE EVENT for PCs to say if they were buffing. So as you rightly say, I am going to disallow the mage armor.
The FE bonus is against humans.
If Lu Yan’s ‘half-ness’ is effectively Dragon instead of human, then the FE bonuses don’t count and I’ll make the necessary adjustments.

Idea: he tries anyway but each square of movement there is a 50% chance it goes towards the goal or else veers off to the left or right? I understand if this isn't agreeable. My feeling is that he would attempt the make the most of what's left of flaming sphere while figuring out how to un-blind himself.
He can also desperately try the ray of frost this round, and I'll roll the 50% for that attack roll (and he probably can't "move on" to the next foe if the original is down).
Hmm. Because you did have sight of the battlefield just before you went blind, I’ll allow your ideas for Round #2 only.
The battlefield changes too frequently for this to work on subsequent rounds.
Ferdrin does get another Will save to shake off the blindness at the end of his next turn.

Ty. Let's see how this goes.

@Party - In principal, Cade will do his best to put himself between the softies and baddies, but as we all know, there is no MMORPG tanking to stop them from going around. I think Cade will keep hitting green for now while trying to body block as best as possible.

Cade, you can move through grease at half speed with a DC 10 Acrobatics check. This implies you cannot 5’ step in grease.
As such, your movement provokes an AoO from Purple.
If you have a FAQ to contradict this, please let me know.

FYI: After tonight I'll be away in nature all day tomorrow, but then back Sunday mid-afternoon'ish.

So... Is Dhovahk's spell slot consumed since he started casting? Or can he stop the casting in time to preserve it?

@Lu Yan, I'm reading from Resisting Grappler that the AoO is triggered when YOU (the person with the feat) are the target of the grapple.
Correct?

Hi GM, I would step into the door that Eltran is in now and I did not now that I can decide where to come out. I indicated the arrows.
The portals are like wormholes, the red and blue six-pointed stars scattered about the floor.
Can you please arrow which one you wish to enter, and which one you wish to leave.

That's because I don't.
But I do speak Google Translate ;)
People, food, beer, wine, scenery all fantastic. Neuschwanstein Castle was a highlight, but there were plenty of others.
I enjoyed driving on the autobahn -- though my wife didn't enjoy my driving on the autobahn as much as I did ;)
Everybody spoke excellent English (often better than mine ;) -- which is great for English-speakers, but kinda sad because we single language people can remain going through life without having to learn another language.

Ha ha. :-)
Thanks for sharing!

I just need some others to decide to come upstairs with Ferdrin :D It's probably bad if the squishy mage goes alone.

@Ferdrin, White’s SR defeated the flaming sphere on a previous round.
My understanding is that means it is immune to “that casting of the spell,” and so is immune to the flaming sphere currently in play on the battlefield.
If say, you cast a new flaming sphere on White, it would then be subject to another SR check.
Chat about SR on the Paizo Forums seems to support this view, but if you have a FAQ, I’ll take a look at it.

I don't have a faq, just this discussion.
The spell resistance definitely "keeps working" against an existing sphere, but I don't see where it says that means a prior roll is kept. That's just my intuition and that post which is all I've got. If it doesn't work, then he moves it to the other nearby gremlin with his move action and we can re-use the damage rolls.
