Re B3 I think it was supposed to be three different checks, at least that's the way I read the AP. Anyway I'll try to be more explicit in future.

@Cyrene I assume you found the key in B1.
The plain looking brass key Cyrene found turns out to fit the locked cabinet in the social room.

When you open the cabinet you find something unexpected, there's a device that resembles an immovable crystal ball built into the wall.

Kn: Arcarna DC 12:
You think this device needs a power source, which with any luck is somewhere in the four rooms.

As a reminder Kn: History DC 14

Spoiler:
Whoever owned this area was clearly fascinated with the Fourth Army of Exploration. Knowing this you decided to search the books in the bedroom and you spotted a large tome entitled 'A complete history of the Fourth Army of Exploration'. It's one of the better preserved books and it had a secret: a hole has been cut into its pages to hide a small, curved piece of rectangular glass which looks like it would fit the crystal ball device.

Julia took in Lope's words and tried to keep up with theories that could help them get out of here. "A phase door? I don't know many barracks that would bother with casting such powerful magic, even for protecting their weapons and supplies. This place might have instead been the lair of a powerful caster or group of them," she ponders aloud to no one in particular.

"I doubt any of us could dispel it naturally but maybe we can unlock that niche Lope managed may unlock for us?"

While you were searching, Martella sent you several messages via the badges.

::Where did you go?! I just saw you and several others in the senate vanish into thin air!::

Shortly after she sent.

::Gloriana Morilla’s allies from the Pathfinder Societ fought their way in and secured us an exit from the senate building! The attackers are resisting, they are an organised force.::

The man soothes his mustache and points to the portraits B2 "Is any of you good at the history of our Empire? Maybe there is a clue on those pictures."

And then points to the sealed cabinet "And the strong way that cabinet is hold shut calls powerfully my attention..." the Aldori approaches and plays a bit with the lock but it seems beyond his capabilities.

At Lope's question Julia ruefully shakes her head. "The allegedly glorious history of our country has never been my strong suit, I'm afraid. But perhaps Val or Pelligrina paid more attention to their tutors than I did."

She shrugged. Julia was honestly feeling rather useless at this point, trapped in a place where her talents weren't exactly revealing themselves to be especially helpful. Still, the fact that Lotheed and the princess survived was comforting if nothing else. Perhaps it might the children had survived as well.

Valeria did not calm down enough to be of much help while they searched the rooms remaining huddled in her little ball of hurt for some time. She was only partly aware of Triphylla and Julia trying to calm her but it seemed her mind was somewhere else entirely. By the time Martella contacted them Valeria had finally come back to reality enough that she knew something was on and, rather than respond to the noblewoman, she listened to the responses to understand what had happened. The fact she wasn't killed was something of a disappointment, at first, but she felt disgusted with herself in short order.

Valeria approached everyone as Julia wondered if maybe she or Pelligrina had a better grasp of history and Valeria shook her head, "I do not, I never could wrap my head around all of those dates and times." She didn't mention her breakdown and seemed to be trying to forget it had happened. The real question was would it happen again.

Int DC 14:
This complex is a safe room/house, designed as a bolt hole for Senator Albio Voritas and his entourage, who was the original owner of the aide badges.

I forgot to add this to my original post.

Kn: Arcarna DC 14:
Senate aide badges are often enchanted with emergency effects that mimic the contingency spell, whisking endangered staff to safety or casting protective magic. This is usually a one time effect but the exact conditions and effects vary, and their cost is added the badge’s construction cost.

The ones you have clearly teleported you out of danger to a safe house of some sort.

Julia had no love for the Grand Prince before this night and unsurprisingly even less so after his murder spree, but all the same she was taken back by the rumors of his death. "The Grand Prince is dead? That doesn't make sense, does it? He plots this insane self-coup and then... what? Is murdered by his own agents? No. Something else has to be at play here. There always in the plays and most of them are based on Taldor's sorted history.

Whilst Julia would have liked to ask Lotheed for more information of Stavian's supposed death (and whether she thought Pythareus had anything to do with it) she doubted she'd learn much given just how hectic things likely were outside. Better she focus on the task at hand, she thought, rather than getting caught up in rumors and wild guessing.

Knowing that she won't be much help dealing with the phase door or breaking any locks, she spends a few more hours going through the safehouse hoping that could find some other way out of their predicament. In the end though all she finds is a book that strangely catches her eye.

"I found this while looking around," she tells the others even as tries to look through the book's pages for anything related to phase door or perhaps the history of the Empire.

Julia starts leafing through the many books looking for a clue. After an hour and a half of searching, Martella sends another message, "::Out of the senate building. Guiding a dozen or so of the servants to a safe haven, will contact later...::”

Three hours into her search and Julia pulls out a stodgy looking history of the Fourth Army of Exploration and to her surprise a small curved piece of rectangular glass falls out. She did a double take, and discovered a small hole had been cut into the pages...

Curiously enough the bit of glass fits the crystal ball from the other room.

When the piece of glass is inserted into the crystal ball in the cabinet and its used:
You are given a view of the fresco but curiously several potions of it light up...

The bard shrugged. She still felt that there had to be more to the tale but hoped that the Grand Prince's failed mad ambitions would at the very least ease Eutrophia's ascension to the throne. It was the least the bastard could do for his daughter.

Turning to the glowing fiasco, she wondered how they'd break figure it out. "I'd wager this is some kind of puzzle. Maybe meant to test our knowledge of the Fourth Army of Exploration? The owner of this place seemed to be obsessed with that war."

With the others already pressing the glowing parts of the fiasco, Julia once again checked the book to see if she could find anything useful within it that would show them how to solve the puzzle.

Working together you manage to touch the six correct ares to open the fresco's hidden compartment. With a low grating noise the walls of the fresco split open revealing a small bag in a niche.

Inside the bag are thirty odd looking coins of some silvery metal, each bearing the Voritas family crest. The coins look like they'd fit the niche in the bedroom with the phase door.

Spellcraft DC 16:
These coins act as the foci for a conjuration school effect of some sort.

You recognise this magic, these are sigils for a phase door spell.

Appraise DC 12:
As a bonafied relic of the Voritas family, each coin is likely worth 5gp to a collector.

Kn: Nobility DC 14:
Pythareus is older than Eutropia so in theory this would make him the first in line to the throne. The legality of this is dubious at best, suffice it to say it would be somewhat contentious for Pythareus to press his claim on this basis. It would be simpler to eliminate Eutropia.

If you place a coin in the niche:
The coin flashes dully followed by a much brighter flare of radiance on the wall where a glowing portal opens that leads to a rough worked tunnel.

He casts dancing lights and send them through the tunnel, following suite himself in person unless some danger is spotted first.

Re crowns and seeing through illusions, you don't know much about the Primogen crown beyond it being powerful. Still Stavian was far from sane and he'd been using lots of drugs which made him extremely paranoid. Who knows what was going through his twisted mind at the end?

You follow Lope through the portal and into the tunnel which descends some stairs, levels off before rising again. The northern end of the tunnel ends with what looks like the hidden side of a concealed door. There's an elaborate brass lever to open it, embossed with the Voritas family seal. The dust on the floor was undisturbed before your passage, nobody has been this way for a long time.

Discarded in the corner next to the brass leaver is a single hooded lantern which flickering with a blue light. You didn't find out till much later but the lantern was the target of a continual flame spell cast over a fifteen hundred years ago and it's still glowing!

The lever is a bit stiff but Lope assisted by Cyrene and Julia manage to pull it down which causes the secret door to open with a low grating tumble, revealing a rectangular hallway that loops around a central conference room. Chiseled stone statues of Taldan Phalanx soldiers stand atop plinths in the outer corners, visible from any point in this ominous hall. Sturdy wooden doors line the outer edge of the hall: two to the east, two to the south, two to the west, and a single larger door to the north.

The northern most door is locked but the key you found in Senator Voritas’s bedchamber looks like it should fit. In front of this door to your horror is the partially skeletized corpse of a middle aged male senator. Apparently you where not the only ones to have senate aide badges with contingencies but clearly these halls are not safe!

Valeria managed to finally collect herself as Martella updated them on the Grand Prince's death and the events that surrounded it. Once they had successfully figured out the fresco puzzle and found what was kept within Valeria looked over the coins curiously.

When Martella continued to speak and mentioned the adoption and then began to tell them where the safe house was she their benefactor seemed to cut short for some reason.

Valeria quit worrying about what was cut off when she realized what the adoption of Pythareus actually meant. Her eyes widened and she said, "The adoption means that, technically, Pythareus is now the older heir and thus the primary heir. That he was adopted puts them on more of an even footing though since it is questionable if he truly is the rightful heir or not and the other nobles might not like the precedent letting him succeed at such a claim would mean." She looked suddenly worried as she reached and began to fiddle with the amulet she wore and added, "It is more likely he would have Eutropia killed to take away her claim entirely."

When they finally proceeded in their explorations Valeria followed along near the middle of the group. They followed a tunnel at the other end of the portal and then down some stairs, the whole thing seemed to be unused for a very long time so at least they didn't need to worry about anyone attacking them just now. @GM, Is the corpse at the door marked D or G?

I assume we can take the lantern as treasure. How do we want to handle party loot? The bottle of whiskey Triphylla took would also go into that.

When they reach the large room with the statuary it finally dawns on Triphylla that she still peace-bound and wearing her Gala finest. She takes a minute to shrug off her formal wear and jewelry and stash them into her backpack. Then she makes sure the sickle is ready-in-hand.

The Corpse is at D, but it's fine for y'all to be where you are on the map.

As you talk suddenly the temperature plummets and your breath starts misting, and your hearts start hammering in your chests as three humanoid torsos with jagged claws extends outward from a wall! Clearly undead their features are patterned with the texture of the brickwork!

Kn: Religion Lope gets +2 DC 12:
These undead are known as Walcofinde. If you roll 17+
Spoiler:
a walcofinde adjacent to a wall in a sealed chamber can merge part of itself with that wall. For as long as it maintains physical contact with a portion of the wall, the walcofinde can manifest through any part of that wall within 100 feet, including the opposite side of the wall.

A walcofinde’s manifestation occupies the same space as a 5-foot-long portion of the wall, appearing as if its torso were emerging from the wall but with the texture of the wall (such as wood or stone) instead of its normal decayed flesh. It cannot manifest from broken areas of a wall, nor can this manifestation separate from the wall at any time. The walcofinde can perceive creatures with all of its senses through this manifestation, and the manifestation can make claw attacks against creatures within 10 feet of the portion of wall from which it is manifested. As a move action that provokes attacks of opportunity, the manifestation can reposition itself along this wall at a maximum speed of 15 feet per round. The manifestation can be attacked as though such attacks targeted the walcofinde, but it gains a +2 bonus to its AC due to partial cover from the wall it occupies.

While using this ability, the walcofinde is helpless. It can cease its manifestation as a full-round action that provokes attacks of opportunity from creatures threatening either the manifestation or the walcofinde.

If a walcofinde using this ability is moved 10 or more feet away from the wall it has merged with, it takes 1d8 points of damage and its manifestation immediately disappears. If the walcofinde is killed, its manifested body is immediately reabsorbed into the possessed wall.

@Lope Thanks for putting the cropped images on the monster tokens, I should have thought of that!

Lope correctly identifies the undead and thrusts at one of the undead, connecting solidly. If he'd been duelling a man, that would have a killing blow, even so he was sure he'd badly hurt the wretched thing.

Cyrene there's three monsters, I'm uncertain which one you're going for. Focusing fire on Green is probably the best tactic so I'll assume you meant that. Fortunately they have yet to act so your movement doesn't trigger AOOs.

Taking a terrible risk, but one that pays off handsomely, Cyrene moves to flank Lope's target and stabs it in the back of its skull, ending it. Like a doll with it's strings cut the undead falls to the floor and rapidly turns to dust!

Pelligrina proves to be completely useless for quite some time. The combined shocks of the massacre and the sudden teleportation to the confinement of a suite of ancient rooms seems to put her in a state of traumatization. She dumbly follows along but no more. Lope grimaces in pain as his willingness to finish one enemy left his flank exposed to the other one. He pivots in place to face the other menace, briefly glimpsing at the scrap in his arm "These creatures are fast attacking and traitorous, the Brevoy's defensive stance is in place here" the man performs a spin and slashes forward more to keep the enemy at bay than to harm, with a quick come back to defend from the claws.

But he smiles as he secretly positions himself to distract the walcofinde from Cyrene approaching in the back.

Cyrene grins as Lope not only makes himself a target, but pulls the walcofinde's attention away from her as well.

It seems this one has a head for tactics! She thinks approvingly as she circles around to strike from behind!

Dagger, Flanking: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 2 = 81d4 + 1 + 1d4 ⇒ (3) + 1 + (1) = 5

Unfortunately its hard to distinguish creature from wall and she strikes the latter.

It is impossible to gauge whether the alchemist's fire was effective against the Walcofinde, but she's sure she can't trip it or stab it in the back.

Triphylla draws another vial of alchemist's fire and throws at at the monster near Julia.

Oh it was effective all right! I'll give Valaria and Pelligrina a bit more time before I bot. Granted fighting undead probably isn't their forte.

The first time around was something of a disappointment, but Pelligrina decides to give Lope a second chance.

Guidance on Lope again.

Not her forte is putting it mildly.
