Randall McNally |

Knowledge (local): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
To recall any information on the Wormwood, or Captain Harrigan

DM Meleager |

Randall will know that Harrigan is one of the up-and-coming pirates in the Shackles hoping to become the next pirate lord and member of the Pirate Council that rules the area.
Samms chimed in herself. "My old job was fishing until I got dragged into here as well. I think this reminded me how dangerous that job can be," she winced while straightening out her hair. "We lost a couple people, but it seems like Besmara's keen on bring in more people."
She brought out a hand to shake. "You can call me Samms. Sorry about not helping out that much. Reefclaws ain't really my specialty."
Speaking of which, she looked down on the dead reefclaws. "Buuuuut I think that can work. They're edible and are a rare delicacy around these parts."
The party notices that one reefclaw is enough to fill a crab pot.

Lucille de Avrois |

Lets grab them all as well as the crabs! I just hope the smut is sober! Lucille is as enthusiastic as ever.
I got about 30 seconds of monkey fish left, can start bringing the reefclaws back to the ship while you guys keep fishing? She offers.

Chisomo |

Chisomo looks nonplussed as Lucille escalates things with Randall, but happily lashes a pair of reefclaws to her back and begins the swim back.

DM Meleager |

Once all the crustaceans were rounded up, the group made it back onto the ship with little problem. They were met by redhead who had a whimsical smile familiar to most of them. "I see you caught an extra stray out there," she grinned before tipping her hat. "You can call me Sandara Quinn, and me and my friends will do our best to keep you comfy. But you'd be surprised we caught a castaway too."
She pointed towards an elven man conversing with Tilly and Crimson Cog.

Torin Brimfisher |

Torin was quietly trying to suss out the ship that had appeared to save him his fate. He had to abandon his weapon before they would take him aboard, and he certainly got the hint from one look at Scourge that this was not a ship that operated trade.
"I can barely believe I've been pulled out of there." he offered with a slight smile of disbelief, "First I survive the wreck of my ship, and now I get picked up by a replacement. I've never worked on a boat with so many fine ladies though."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Randall McNally |

Randall returns Sandara's smile with one of his own "Thank you, Sandara. Just glad to be off those rocks and back at sea." He looks the redhead up and down "Fire in her hair and in her soul too, I'd bet." he thinks to himself.
Randall looks to where Sandara is pointing to see a familiar face. He walks up to the man and slaps him on the back "Torin, you Son of a B#$!@! Glad to see you made it." his face becomes a little more somber as he asks "Do you know if anyone else survived?"

Lucille de Avrois |

Feels good to have finally properly killed something again. The effing gall of this things, trying to eat us, lets all show them who is on top of the food chain!
Lucille flashes a beaming smile, seemingly reinvigorated from doing proper violence.
We got a special treat, reefclaws! I am gonna hit up Kroop, needs a proper expert to remove the poison! And I do Hope we find us a fat trading vesell soon! She bounces off to the cooking galley
kn. local to get a read on the new arrivals Torin: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (3) + 0 = 3
Aha, clearly, the Half Elf is some sorceror or something because he is half nekkid and kind of dextrous!

Influence Kropp: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15 Mechanical effect, Kropp adds the influence result to his odds of being sober?
Oi Fishguts, you wont believe want we got ourselfs here, Reeefclaws!

Torin Brimfisher |

Torin turned abruptly at the friendly greeting. Much as he was keen to make a good impression he had never met this man before in his life. He shrugged off Randall's hand and faced the man so he couldn't touch him again as easily.
"I don't know you." he stated flatly, "Don't touch me like you do." For him being all smiles just a moment before his attitude had very quickly turned sour. The young pirate able to turn his demeanor on a dime as neccesary.
No really, he would never willingly board a ship named the Albatross.

DM Meleager |

On the deck
"Just be wary. Not everyone here is as friendly around here. At least by the looks of it we'll honor your arrivals with a good amount of crab." With a smile, Sandara went off to other duties.
Tilly sized him up as she spoke. "I'm loving the new catch we've been getting as of late." She grinned.
Lucille
If he's sober, he'll likely stay that way for the day.
Kroop turned around and smiled. Lying on the table are a mixture of veggies and spices, all already chopped up and sorted.
"Already ahead of ya Lucy... well not tha reefclaws." He leaned down to examine the catch. "Yup, the cap'n gonna love what we're about ta cook tonight."
The conversations can continue, but I'm moving on to Bloody Hour.
Bloody Hour
Scourge eagerly dragged Djir to the front. He was about to say something before Plugg cut him off with a wave of his hand. "Yes I'm aware of his lack of scrubbing. I may not be able to prove you are skipping work, but we will continue to punish you until I straighten you up. Scourge, give him three lashes."
Scourge sets up Djir to the post and responds in kind.
Whip: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 151d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 241d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Damage: 3d3 + 6 ⇒ (2, 3, 1) + 6 = 12 That should put you at 8 hp with 10 hp of non-lethal damage.
Djir lasts until the last strike before he falls unconscious. Once everyone was dismissed below deck, Sandara scooped up the ratfolk before channeling her energy to heal him up.
Channel energy: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 22d6 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4
You can perform your night actions now.

Chisomo |

Earlier
Chisomo smiles almost involuntarily at Torin's sudden fierceness. "If you went from a wreck to this ship you're clearly cursed, but at least you're no coward."
She holds out a hand in greeting. "Chisomo. Not much luckier."
***
Chisomo retires early to rest and recover from the reefclaws' venom.

Lucille de Avrois |

Lucille, who doesnt exactly know who Scourges lackeys are yet, chats up Mrs. "Blonde Lady with an unhinged Smile".
bluff to influence: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
Nice Smile you got there, 2 of my patrons approve and so do I.
I am Lucille, and She casts a glance at her currently very happy demon looking shadow.
We may be quite similar in some ways. She looks at the blonde ladies weapons, from the picture seeing a rapier and a bunch of knifes?
Does your Rapier have a name?
As she looks at the Bec de Corbin slung over her back and whispers His name is "Dickish Cocques", there is a funny story behind that and I have a lot of fun playing with him

Lucille de Avrois |

Lucille drinks her booze like a Boss, getting a bit tipsy and even more social.

Djir Bentwhisker |

Ok, after Sandara's healing, Djir's at full HP, with 4 Nonlethal, so he's up (still fatigued mind you).
Djir sneaks his rum ration to Tilly (who's probably going to die young of liver failure...).

Going on a limb here, could this work?
Retcon alert: Veto without any reason, totally your prerogative!
Before with Crimson Cognard.
The one with the unusual smile, do you also sense her as a deathbringer? She and I may have killed our first in similar circumstances. Can you assist me in making her acquaintance?

Randall McNally |

Randall watches as Djir is whipped for supposed malingering "The beatings will continue until morale improves. Stupid, that kind of attitude only fosters hate and resentment"
That evening Randall will find a seat next to Sandara "So, what's a girl like you doing in a place like this?" As he drinks his rum ration his eyes open wide "F+&@ me, this s@@& is strong." As the alcohol burns it's way through his veins he sighs at the warmth settles in his muscles "I'm going to feel that in the morning."
Fortitude save DC:5: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

After listening to Sandara to tell her tale Randall will pull his concertina out of his bag and to begin playing a lively reel.
Perform: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Once he gets the crew into it he'll stand up and offer his hand to Lucille and draw her into a dance, the numbness from the alcohol seemed to be affecting his legs as well. Once he starts he'll switch partners between Lucille, Chisomo, Samms, and lastly back to Sandara. Once he sits down he'll look at his mug of rum and opt for water instead. Moving over to Lucille he'll sit down again and ask "What's the story here?' he gestures to include the entire ship.
Perform (dance, untrained): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Not sure I can use Perform untrained, otherwise just consider it a Charisma check instead
Randall will use his Sea Shanty ability to remove the fatigue everyone is feeling from the rum ration.

Lucille de Avrois |

No mechanical effects for this one, just roleplaying
Perform dance untrained: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 1 = 24
Lucille occassionally has fever dreams, wild visions sent by whoever her patrons outsourced "dicking around with mortal dreams on Golarion" too.
Several of them had some interesting dance moves...
Which she immidiatly tries out, using her newly acquired skill at rigging to do an impromptu Circe de Soleil like show, including using a hanging around rope to dance 3 dimensionally.
Asking the wrong girl for this, I only got fished out of the waves a day earlier, was formerly on the Icebrytar. I dont even really know who has beef with whom yet.
Lucilles rolls are a very funny contrast to Ragnhilds.

DM Meleager |

These dice gods are something else today.
Lucille
Cogward slowly looks up at Lucille, shrugs, then eventually stood up to her side. "I will try, but more often then not I'm more known to start fights. And with someone like Syl known as a serial killer, it may not go the way you hope."
The duo managed to find her by herself scratching the table with a knife. She smirks as she looks at the newcomer. "Nah. It's better not to get to attached to what you have. Better to keep the memories in your head."
She stood up and stared downed at Lucille, then turned towards Cogward. "If you're itchin' to fight, I'll be more than happy to meet that standards..." She's surprised to see Arkhan with them as well and while she stands her ground, she decides to put her knife back into its hilt. "Enough with the small talk. I know you're interested in me. I'm just curious why you're willing to take the risk." The blonde woman stepped closer and pressed up against Lucille, even if she's a few inches shorter.
That did it. Syl is now Unfriendly.
Djir
Tilly waves at Djir as she swiftly downs his drink in one go before burping. "Just keep 'em coming little guy."
Rosie and Ratline shrug before joining in to meet Scrimshaw. Rosie is a bit irritated with keeping things kid friendly with Jack, but she's alright with it. The young lad continued to be in awe of the ratfolk's skills and even offers to teach him how to carve wood into small statutes.
Jack Scrimshaw is now Helpful
Randall, Lucille, Chisomo
"If you wouldn't believe it, I've been looking for a ship this whole time... well just not the one I was thinking," Sandara laughs. "Scourge tried to talk me into working here himself instead of doing the honorable thing and just drug me. I told him off so he had his thugs jump me and drag me here. Still, it just reaffirmed that I belonged here." She brought out her holy symbol. "I'm a priest of the pirate queen Besmara. I trust her judgement... even if I don't agree all the time..." Her voice went softer as she reflected on some of the more dour points of her life... but only for a moment before she smiled again. "But that's how the pirate life goes."
She chuckles as the rum washes down Randall's throat. "It does, but it keeps the body light on their feet. Some people even try to get more." She points to how Tilly took down yet another dose of rum from Pai Song.
Perform (untrained), Sandara: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Perform (untrained), Samms: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Samms is a bit unsteady on her feet (possibly due to the rum), but was able to keep up. "There was another guy who looked like you. It's like Besmara's making up for past mistakes."
Sandara is more adept at dancing to the beat and the crowd was getting into it. She first joined in with Lucille and answered her question. "We got most of the crew on our side. Just need to work on a few of the stragglers like the tall Mwangi woman and Conchobhar. I bet he'd have a field day with you," She winked, then let Lucille lift her up with both arms as she twirled her.
Next off she did her dance with Randall which was slower but more methodical as she pulled in close. "This is nice... but I gotta warn ya. Scourge made a move on me too and he's definitely the jealous type. I'd be careful if I were you. Lest you fall victim like the last guy." With that, she pulled away and encouraged Chisomo to join her in their dance.
Randall gets a +2 bonus on Influence checks for the next 24 hours.
--------------------------
Before everyone went to bed, a creaky door opened up. Heavy steps approached the door and to everyone's surprise it was Harrigan himself. Everyone paused what they were doing as he bellowed. "Who helped catch these here reefclaws?"

Lucille de Avrois |

Lucille inches closer to Syl giving her a pearl white radiant smile.
I literally worship Lady Nocticula, Demon Lord of Murder, Lust, shadows and secrets?
My power doesnt quite come from her, but in a way she is the boss of my boss. I can sense in you a fellow killer, and neither you nor me are keeping that a secret. I sense your bodycount equals or exceeds mine and well, never wrong to exchange experiences. What was your favorite kill so far? Unless thats a secret, which I would obviously understand and respect.
She asks, idly playing with a locke of her hair.
Mine was my first, cliche at his sounds. Incidently his name was also "Dickish coques", and yes that was his weapon initially, he was a prick from the Galtese guard that erraneously thought I was a pretty little flower to be plucked and f!+%ed before given to the grey gardeners for being related to the government they were overthrowing.
Well, turns out that most men dont fight well with their pants down, and that a Bec de Corbin is not a good weapon for a fight in a toilet.
She speaks as if retelling a great joke.
With Harrigan
Lucille athletically steps forward, opening her mouth but stopping before saying something, as she sees her shadow clasps both of her hands over the shadows mouth, as if in warning.
Metaknowledge from reading the past thread, Lucille doesnt know about Harrigans aversion to people talking in character, and nobody told her.

Randall McNally |

Randall wraps his arm around Sandara's waist and pulls her in close and whispers in her ear "Somethings are worth the risk." before spinning her away. He bows to his partner before heading below deck to sleep off the rum.

Chisomo |

Chisomo is forced by her unfamiliarity to follow Sandara's lead in the dance, but does so with a rare smile.
***
Before Bed
Chisomo keeps her mouth tightly shut, but strides forward to stand in front of Captain Harrigan in answer to his question.

Torin Brimfisher |

Catching myself up in order here.
As Chisomo introduces herself and offers her hand he is quick to accept the handshake, a wry smile on his face as he slowly shakes her hand. The man examines her arm and giving her general person a once over. "Aye, I've had it rough since I was a toddler. I'm not about to start complaining now." he replied, "But honestly, I've seen entire ships without a single lady fine as you. Did I get picked up by a pirate lord's harem ship?"
Now for the evening.
Watching the bloody hour didn't seem to phase Torin in the least. The half elf sat on the deck and even yawned at one point. If nothing else he certainly wasn't wide eyed and naïve to punishment on a ship. After the last blow had been struck he reached back and rubbed a shoulder.
Finding himself as a fresh face and amongst a motley crew of all types... Torin immediately approached the person he could identify with the most. The expertly dressed Conchobar. After taking his rum ration.
Fortitude: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Gods but that stuff was foul. Approaching the well groomed and stylish gnome Torin gave a polite nod and joined him. "I'm afraid they confiscated my things, so I look much the beggar." he began, "You look like a man of good taste and judgement. Perhaps you could tell me what I've gotten into on this ship?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Djir Bentwhisker |

...
Before Bed
Chisomo keeps her mouth tightly shut, but strides forward to stand in front of Captain Harrigan in answer to his question.
Willing to claim credit for something he actually had little part in (beside standing around), Djir joins Chisomo...

DM Meleager |

Lucille, Syl
Syl's grin turned wicked. "Sounds like my kind of gal, if I paid attention to the gods that much."
The blonde considered before she decided to oblige the other woman.
She briefly looked back towards her gang before she looked back towards Lucille. "I'd like to know more... in private." Yet she quickly grabbed Lucille by her clothes and pulled her close before tilting her head. "This doesn't mean we're friends... but you interest me more than those dregs you hang out with."
Torin
The gnome turned I'm smiled. "I see you've got the same tastes as mine," he replied. [B]"Why this is the ship The Wormwood, head by a truly gruesome pirate named Harrigan. Mister Plugg's the first mate and Master Scourge is the boatswain. They're the ones who will be on our backs while we work." He tipped his drink as he rook his own sip... and coughed a bit. "You can try your luck on the other ladies. I'm working on Rosie over there." He points to the female halfling playing cards with Djir, another halfling and a young lady. "I haven't had much luck yet, but I think I'm wearing her down."
Lucille, Chisomo, Djir
Samms made her way a bit nervously as well. Harrigan slowly walks over to those who stepped forward... only to slightly grin. "Not bad. Anyone who can bag reefclaws may go far." He unlocked a potion from his belt and handed it to Lucille. "A prize for the catch." You can see it's label 'Cure Moderate Wounds'

Lucille de Avrois |

Lucille nods and quickly adds the potion to her belt.
She then gives Harrigan a polite glance that says "further questions or orders?".
Interesting, doesnt comment that I am a stranger on his crew yet? Or does he fully outsource that? Very interesting. Nobody else is saying a single word, so my shadow got the right idea. She thinks.
Gods? Demon Lords my dear, they are typically more fun while you are alive, I mean, if you pick one of the fun ones. Now, where do we actually have any privacy here?
Is that a potion for everyone or one for Lucille?

DM Meleager |

Lucille
Syl thought about it before answering. "Old Fishguts probably won't care about using the galley for a bit." With that, the two women went out of sight, with Fipps and the others looked on with bewilderment.
It's for the group in general. Or at least everyone who showed up to face him.
Day 9
The crew find that the ship has been docked in the shallow waters. Plugg marched his way to the front of the group as he addressed what was going on. "You have been relieved of your usual duties on the ship... but this does not mean it is a day to relax. You are to learn the art of boarding and defending a ship by our master gunner Riaris Krine. You are to give her the same amount of respect as you do to myself. And I assure you that failure will be just as painful as under my watch."
With that, he turned away and was replaced by the titular woman. Krine’s skin is darkened from countless days on deck under the sun, and her nose has the appearance of having been broken several times over. One of her legs has been replaced with a wooden peg leg, and she looks like she's already in a bad mood.
"Alright you f##+ing d&+#*@*s!" She screeched. "If you s*$+asses have to have any f*%@ing chance to kill sons of b~##~es on deck, you first need to get on the f&%$ing deck. You do that s$+! with this!" She held out a grappling hook tied to a rope. "You'll throw this f%ing hook to the top of that motherf+&%ing deck. And you'll do that s&$# while other f!+*ing teammates try and kick your sorry asses back in the water with trash. If you can't do that f!%~ing thing, you'll do it again and it'll be twice as f!$~ing hard!" During this desecration of the Common language, Rosie is blushing at the carnage.
When all was said and done, Riaris set things up so that two people would start at a time with four people acting as defenders from up top.
5d17 ⇒ (7, 9, 7, 4, 15) = 424d13 ⇒ (2, 9, 13, 10) = 349d9 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 1, 4, 1, 1, 3, 5) = 21
In order of who would go, Chisomo and Djir were up first, followed by Lucille and Arkhan and lastly Randall and Torin. The first group has to deal with Conchobar, Jack, the scowling man callen Maheem by Riaris and Shivikah. Jack seemed eager to play defender while Maheem merely frowned all the same. The second group contests with Samms, Rosie, Badger and Syl. The last one twirled her fingers at Lucille with smile. It's hard to tell what that would entail. The last group were paired against Aretta, Cog, Fipps and Sandara. She looked at the two boys as she waved. "Just so you know, I'll be rooting for ya, but I won't make make it easy." she smiled mischieviously.
I won't care about the order but I will need rolls from you to hit the ship's ranged touch AC (which is 5) From where you are at 40 feet down that would be a -6 penalty to hit. Once you do so, you'll need to hit a DC 15 to move upwards. The rules apply as usual in terms of your risk of falling off. The NPCs will be throwing items at you as you move up. You won't take damage, but you do risk falling off. I'll roll your reflex saves, so don't worry about that. Just worry about getting to the top. And of course the NPCs selected and how you treated them will affect which person gets hit. >:)

Djir Bentwhisker |

I don't see either Jack or Maheem on the NPC sheet, but there are 2 thug/swabbers that don't have names on the sheet - a "Bearded, scowling man" and a "Disappointed dwarf with crooked nose"... not that I suppose it really matters.
@GM Meleager: What, however, is the DC 15 check (climb?)? Also, are we doing this from the water? (because I can't see how else you would get a 40' height differential)
Well Djir takes a toss with the grappling hook...
To Hit: 1d20 + 3 + 1 - 6 ⇒ (13) + 3 + 1 - 6 = 11 vs AC 5
+3 dex +1 guidance (cevanne) -6 range penalty
having landed the grapnel, he then offers the rope to Chisomo and says "After you, milady"
After all, she might be able to make what I suspect is a climb check (possibly multiples thereof)... I, on the other hand, will have great difficulty, needing a 17 or better on D20.

DM Meleager |

Scrimshaw's real name is Jack. The scowling man from the fight on day two is Maheem. First time he's been named. The crooked nose guy is the only one who hasn't been named yet.
Well what do you know, there was a small boat after all. I guess the captain didn't care enough to use it for fishing. Or Plugg just didn't want you guys to have that kind of advantage. So the people climbing will start from the boat and climb up to the deck from there. The Climb checks would be as you did on Day 1 except the DC is now 15: a quarter of your normal move action for a normal climb or half for an accelerated climb for each round.

Lucille de Avrois |

Once it is her turn:
Lucille sends a wink back to Syl.
Seargent, we can use all of our f$!%ing abilities, as we would in a f~&@ing real fight?
Assuming she says "f$~$ you yes", Lucille casts monkey fish and divine favor.
Lets f+@#ing go! Lucille says

And starts climbing up, double moving for 20 feet per turn.
Monkey fish only lasts a minute, but should be sufficient for one go

Arkhan listens to the instructions grinning the entire time.

The druid then takes a grappling hook and rope to toss above for boarding.
Ranged attack AC 5: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
The druid then cast Obscuring Mist, while chuckling.

The 1/2 orc then begins to climb.
Climb DC 15 Taking 10 for 15
Once the druid get to the top of his Mist, he casts it a second time for the remainder of the trip!
Once at the top, he exits the Mists and grins at those wondering how that just happend!

50% Chance, Badger: 4d100 ⇒ (29, 3, 91, 3) = 126
Riaris growls, but doesn't say anything about Arkhan's use of obscuring tactics. "Not bad, but you made one f#!#ing mistake, idiot. You've made yourself an easy ass target! Defenders? You know what to do with conniving casters!"
The others obliged and turned their attention and rotten food on Arkhan. Only Syl was willing to trade her tosses at Lucille. Possibly a token of her appreciation?

Reflex Save, Lucille: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
The mist proved to be especially effective in keeping the two from getting hit for the most part. Even the ones that did look like they would hit their targets missed. Syl managed to land some lettuce on Lucille's head, but she easily hung on. Syl blow a kiss to her regardless. Badger was only able to see him once, but she made it count, bonking him in the head with some raw meat. Yet he too was able to hang on in his way to the top.
Messed up Badger's rolls, but it didn't matter cause you managed to hang on.

Lucille de Avrois |

Cabbage my dear? I am most moved by your great concern about my wellbeing.
She giggles, having easily gotten up.
Shall I teach you all some swear words in Abyssal? Curse like a Demon! She speaks, grinning mischeviously.
"Whore" is Шлюха, "c!!!" is Пизда "F~!%" is Ебать or Блядь, "F$&& your mother" is Еби твою мать, "Your cock is so tiny the Lady in Shadow cant cut it" is "Твой член такой маленький, что Леди в тени не может его разрезать."
Bluff to influence and make merry Syl in particular: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27

Arkhan Silvinesti |

Arkhan grins as the 1/2 orc takes the raw meat and eats it!
Anybody got some rum to wash this f$#*ing s$@$ down?
The Druid spits on the ground.

Did I do that? My bad. Just like a f~+!ing teenager at prom. A bit early and unexpected.

Lucilles shadow mimicks a farting motion as Arkhan does his storm burst, giving Lucille an idea.
Aw shucks, Sir Stormfarts overhere definitly needs some Rum though, before his flatulence farts out a thunderstorm.
What is a Prom? Some sacrificial virgin gathering?

Torin Brimfisher |

Torin watches with bemusement as the other teams go before him, unable to pace in the small boat and settling for a good stretch in his torn common clothes. When his turn finally comes about he make a show of casually taking up the line and letting the hook sway lax beneath it. Checking it's weight and the knot as if there might be something unsatisfactory with it. Satisfied after a moment it was in good condition he casts it toward the ship's rigging to secure it.
Grapple Toss: 1d20 + 1 + 3 - 6 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 3 - 6 = 4
With his toss seeming to lack enough effort from the half elf to get up to it's target he watches with disinterest as it limply drops into the water. Then he reels it in without a word and readies it for another toss. He holds it away from it as it spins, as if he was afraid he would get water on himself and his ragged clothes.
Grapple Toss: 1d20 + 1 + 3 - 6 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 3 - 6 = 1
Finally becoming bothered by his failure the young pirate hurriedly reels in his line and angrily gets it spinning. No longer wasting any time in making his throw with his full effort.
Grapple Toss: 1d20 + 1 + 3 - 6 ⇒ (12) + 1 + 3 - 6 = 10
With his grapple finally set, and his opposition having plenty of time to ready themselves (or grow drowsy) he suddenly takes to the rope like a man possessed. Climbing like mad to either save face or manage to show off.
Climb: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Would his fast movement apply at all here?

Randall McNally |

Randall takes the grappling hook in hand and whirls it around and around before releasing it in an overhead arc. Where it thunks solidly into the of the ship before splashing back into the sea. "Well, at least I hit the ship" he says in mock triumph.
Attack roll (ranged): 1d20 + 2 - 6 ⇒ (5) + 2 - 6 = 1
He rolls the rope back in and tries again this time releasing the hook a second later in his throw. This time the hook bounces off the Wormwood's rail almost caching it before it too sinks into the waves below "I wonder what kind of fish we could catch if we trolled one of these behind the ship?" he muses out loud as he pantomimes having hooked a big one as he pulls the line back in.
Attack roll (ranged): 1d20 + 2 - 6 ⇒ (8) + 2 - 6 = 4
The third times the charm as the hook sails up and over the ship's rail and catches fast as he pulls the rope taught. He raises his arms up in a "Ta-Da" motion before securing the line to the launch and he begins to climb.

On his first attempt Randall makes it about half way before his hands slip off the rope and he falls into the sea. His second attempt is much worse as he barely gets off the jollyboat before his wet hands slip off and into the drink he goes, much to the guffaws of those gathered above. He bows elaborately to his audience before trying a third time. This time he makes it halfway before his grip falters and he drops back into the water. Scanning the rail he spots the flame haired priestess of Besmara in the crowd and, giving her a wink, he tries again. This time, much to everyone's amazement (his own included) he manages to make it all the way to the Wormwood's deck.
Maybe.

Torin Brimfisher |

Okay, so at a quarter movement Torin still has three more checks he needs to succeed at. Woops.
Find the initial length of rope an easy climb Torin continues his steady pace. Only attempting to rush as he came closer and facing the threat of being covered in garbage.
Climb: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 Great!
Climb (Accelerated Climb): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 Sh*t!
Be it from taking fire or simply losing his grip Torin looks supremely surprised to fall free from the rope and splash into the water below. As he sweeps his hair out of his eyes he looks to Sandara and offers her a wry smile before he resigns himself to climbing the rope again.
Going to take 10 this time.
He climbs doggedly and without any attempts to show off this time, risking the refuse being thrown his way.

Everyone from the top gave it their all in their attempts to knock off the new invaders. Everyone elected to split their throws between the two, Aretta and Fipps for their shared hatred of anyone associated with their rivals, and Sandara and Cog out of principle.
Randall doesn't even get a chance to get off that high as raw tomato from Aretta lands on his face, sending him to the drink.
Torin fairs a bit better, even as Sandara manages to land a harden loaf of bread on him. Yet he loses is grip on his own accord and falls into the water below.
Riaris is not impressed. "As I thought. You useless f&%@s are all show, no background. Yet your lazy, butterfingered, limp dick asses out the water and do it again!" She orders them to get back up and try a second time.
Torin and Randall can roll for their second attempts while I wait to see what Djir will do to get up there.

Things started off well at first for Chisomo as Djir's distraction was enough to make everyone miss their shots. Disaster struck in the second round however when Maheem throws a rocket of a carrot between the eyes and it was enough to take her down.

Riaris was not amused with Djir's stalling tactics. Neither did it seem for Maheem or Shivikah. Jack at least tried to make it easy for him as he tried to miss. Same with Conchobhar who chuckled at some of his jokes. While he was able to hang on to most of the shots thrown at him, his run came to an end more than halfway up when a stray hit from Maheem brought the ratfolk low. Djir looked up to see Riaris shaking her head in disapproval before sending him back to try a second time. To make matters worse, Jack and Conchobhar were sent away for their poor showing and were replaced with...

So Chisomo and Djir will retry on their same block. Djir, you were close to making it out.

Torin grits his teeth as he takes hold of the line and starts again. Riaris' words were particularly aggravating as Torin knew better than her words. "Inbred, deformed, bitter little half-troll." he growled as he took up the line. His thoughts of taking things slow and steady fading as he let his blood come from a simmer to a full boil.

Torin shows a much greater determination to get to the top, shooting up the rope like his live depended on it. Randall meanwhile decided to try a more steady approach to the ropes, taking his time.
Sandara and Cog both seemed sympathetic to the Torin's frustrations and decides to focus just a bit more on Randall. Both managed to land hits on the bard, yet he proved nimble enough to hold on to his footing. Ultimately, it was his own misfooting that caused him to let go of the rope and into the water a second time. Torin meanwhile made it to the top with no food dropped on him this time around.
Randall would have to try the ropes one more time.
