Okay, I just saw the outcome (I was a little busy yesterday, I've just begun grad school in earnest); color me surprised.
I'm not ready just yet, but I will post my next move later today.

![]() |

I apologize for breaking the expectation I set above; more things came up today than expected.

![]() |

I've got one disguise other spell prepared, who wants it? Feel free to suggest how I should disguise you if you've got any specific ideas.
Also, how's everybody's Bluff skill? Mine's +12 (+13 versus native Gebbites, +14 versus Dwarves from the Five Kings Mountains, not that I think it likely there are any of either present).
@Scarlet, you still sitting this out? I had anticipated you'd be pivotal in this effort (remember, the whole reason I did what I did was I did not register they were all asleep, so I figured "conventional" Stealth was either a non- or very very risky option) - this is still very much a "rogues get to act like rogues" sort of scenario, just in the opposite manner!

Shifty |

Bluff is 9, stealth is 25, disable is unchained and 26.
Nighttime and wooded terrain made it almost impossible to detect us, the guard couldn’t make the DC when one of us rolled a 2.
This is now shaped outside of Scarlets strengths and now into her weaknesses, we can’t now employ mundane sneaking, your best bet is to simply have the goblin pop in is and rush the wagon with the chest, drop it in the bag of holding, and sprint out of there before they all have time to react properly.
Scarlets alternative is just to murder them all and we can chip in for the Paladins atonement later for the evil action.

GM Nowruz |

As you have very high intelligence as an illusionist maybe also one idea:
Please note that you can also just create a wall that appears from the ground up and effectively creates a cage that they can’t escape and that they can’t see through.
Combine this with the other ideas and you are safe to leave fast.

I'm going to be travelling--please bot me as necessary for the next 72 hours or so. Thanks!

![]() |

I'm sorry; I had been anticipating Scarlet would still be a leading figure in all of this.

![]() |

This is 100% you running this encounter now, as it has been from when it significantly changed away from the plan that was already in motion.
As I was saying on Sunday, the current setup negates all Scarlets strengths and leaves her in a bad position, unable to be the lead as this is now a difficult 'face' encounter (without a plan as to what any of us were now supposed to be doing or how this is now supposed to even work) - aid another would be about the best I had.
They will probably just wander up the road then turn around and sneak in, they are Aspis Agents, unlikely to be easily dissuaded.
With nowhere to hide due to the illusion, and everyone now being awake and able to observe, there is no 'sneaking' hence my suggestion above of the goblin going invis and then just rushing the crate and trying to steal it quickly, then proceeding to run like hell and try not to get caught.
I had withdrawn from the encounter just over a week ago when all this occurred and never suggested I would be coming back to it.

I am tryin to improwise. But initial plan was good enough to execute smoothly.
Even though Sihir's plan has some fun in its seed, the way how spontaneous it came out really confused a lot. Not worth most valuable spell from this circumstances.

GM Nowruz |

Please everyone do not worry at all about the situation.
This is just a game! I do not want Sihir to feel bad and I understand certain feelings but we are here to have fun.
There is no blame. :-D
I personally love the illusion spells and I already told you that I want us all to respectful!
I am also sorry that the mission did not work out but the time constraint did not allow me to continue with your planning which eventually would surely have been successful.
As I said ... do not worry as the other tables have enough successes! :-D

![]() |

We'll be resting/rested again soon, right?
Speaking of illusions (and of mistakes, I suppose), I tried memorizing illusory script for the first time ever, only to discover it's not exactly what I'd had in mind - and needs a 50-gp material component, to boot!
It could conceivably still be useful in this intrigue-laden adventure, but I'm hoping to reconsider my spell selection just the same.

![]() |

Sometimes even Pathfinder may fail :))
Illusion School is just amazing!
Lets move on!
I would also appreciate aproximate time between missions /encounters because some of alchemyst elixirs last relatively long...

![]() |

Please forgive my AWOLness on short notice, but then, I probably would not have been able to make too much difference there.

GM Aarvid |

Ok, sorry for the delay. I will be covering for GM Nowruz for the time. :) Will get a post up tonight and should be able to catch up.

GM Aarvid |

Map has been updated. I have a few representative crowd people in the building. But there are many more screaming etc...
The cultists are those with colored square outlines.
Assume benches are difficult terrain. All doors are closed. Windows have been shattered.

Again I must apologize for my neglect of the game; frankly, I've just not been motivated.
It's come once again to the "I have to drag myself to something out of obligation rather than engagement" scenario (the newspaper funny-pages and World of Warcraft being two prior things in my life that ended for me that way - the moment I let them go, I immediately felt better).
FlaxSeed Lodge itself has been fine most of the time, but Paizo is simply no longer "a fun and friendly place", and its future looks no better.
I've not really contributed much to this adventure; if you wanted to let me bow out with no Chronicle (so as to "keep my slate clean", just in case things looked up in the future), that would work for me; OTOH, I could perhaps continue if you think it's worth it to keep me.

GM Aarvid |

Oh no. Sorry to hear that Sihir. I have been playing at your tables for years and enjoyed it. PFS1 is waning but still some miles left in the campaign.
I am only the substitute GM so I do not have a say in chronicles. We have been keeping you moving, so feel free to rejoin or drop as you see fit. But let the normal GM know on Thursday ( I think) :)

I honestly appreciate hearing that; in the meantime, I just did something, so it looks like I am still in for now!

![]() |

Yeah, I was too much about PF-1 , gained 5 stars, VL status and so on...
Sometimes I am getting disapointed, but this particular scenario works pretty well, I actully like 4-th season about Runelords, it was great!
Although for me nothing is as good as long campaing / Adventure path with cozy home atmosphere...

GM Aarvid |

I will adjust and post their actions tonight. Gotta run to work now and it will be a long-ish post if you finish them this round (but two less foes helps).
I think your primary GM will be back tomorrow - so will see if I get one more post in after today. Wish you all well on the final chapter. I have enjoyed running this combat (it was one of my favorites from many years ago).

Chirium, are you saying you have your own mage armor wand?
Also, I'd still like to understand exactly what the deal is with your "Goblin-Wayang" spiel.
I'm guessing it started with a "We Be Goblins!" Chronicle? I've seen that approached in a few different ways.
@DM: Wait, did I take damage? When/how?

![]() |

Seems GM Aarvid added it for no obvious reason (confused notation? Reading unupdated stats from a previous encounter?) when I was AWOL; see near the middle of page 5.
I'd scratch it - and note I now have +21!

Yep, that's right, 4 goblin chronicles are there, and kettle-helmet is from there for example.
Main wayang personalty is a pretty traumatised person with Cha=7 and Wis ~5. So he has this personality which became possible when Society was becoming more tolerant. The thing is main wayang Fantazmo is Evil and selfish and generally unlegal in PFS, but became legal as alternative person of Master Chemist. When thing that he became a Jewled Sage make things really controversial which is funny.

Hi, GM Aarvid informed me about the damage.
when the cultists broke the windows the -11 hp was from the shards of glass in the cathedral.
