Shoot, are we all in the room at the top of the stairs, or still in our current positions? I'd like to clarify where we're at before acting.

Kelvin curses as he is blinded by the flash. He drops to his knees on the stairs, in an attempt to take himself out of the line of site of the room at the top of the stairs. He listens intently to see if he hears anything coming up behind them (do does not have any blind senses though).

Moxie is Readying Improved Get 'Em on Khendai, which grants everyone a +2 bonus to attacks vs Khendai and allows Moxie to also make an attack as part of the action. She will take this action after Khendai makes an attack against her or any of her allies.

Kendai steps away again while drawing a pistol. She takes a pot shot at Moxie. (triggering everyones readies actions). Even with her shaken an get'em'd your attacks miss.

Moxie sees Kendai aim their pistol at her and she realizes that she won't be able to outrun the blast, so instead she turns and takes it in the thickest part of her armor. The cold knocks the air out of her lungs, but the armor keeps the shot from causing serious injury. She fires back in retaliation, but the shot goes high and misses.
"Kendai, we're explorers with the Starfinder Society! We don't even know who this Dortay is! Can we stop shooting each other for a minute, now?"

"Ok wow you really don't know who you're dealing with. Ok well Dortay Ven Corbosi was... is... whatever, Dortay was famous for her architecture during the early days of Drift travel. She made sure even her smallest projects were of the finest quality. Her designs were inspired by lost Golarion. As her company grew she and the board didn't see eye to eye on the companies future. They managed to eventually get her to agree to a semi retirement. She focused on projects here and on finding a way to avoid death. With her, ahem, loyal team of designers at her side of course."
